Shes funny and nice, but has some tough expectations

Anyone who says that she is hard is correct, but she is certainly fair. No one is "given" a grade, they earn it. Attendance policy is tuff, but hey, its college. She always helps me out & was a great, supportive teacher to have.

she's awesome, plain and simple! take this class if you want a teacher who really cares! anyone who gives her a bad rating probably just failed b/c of their own laziness. as for the "south" thing, she's got a cute accent!

Ms. Henson is a wonderful teacher! I enjoyed going to her class and I learned alot. She's a very nice lady and if you're on time and try hard it is a very enjoyable class. :) She helped me out when I had a family emergency. She really cares.

Miss Henson is awesome! She has hilarious stories from when she lived down south and her teaching capabilities rock! Take this teacher! I passed with an A and i still go to her office for all my paper-writing troubles!

Ann Henson is an amazing teacher! She really cares about her students and wants them to do well. She really knows how to teach! I still talk to her at least once a week and ask her for help in COM102. I highly reccomend her... just be on time to class!

I highly recommend her. People only say she was bad because they're only looking for the easy way out and slack off. She does a great job of keeping everyone on top of things. Although she gives a lot of work, you have more than enough time to complete the assignments. Just show her that you care about your grade and she will too!

Fantastic Teacher! She doesn't "give" you a grade you have to work for it and she makes sure you have all the skills needed to pass and are comfortable with using the available facilities (i.e. library ect.). The Southern girl thing is part of her charm. Always available for extra help.

Funny teacher. She really knows what she's talking about. Really helpful class. Need to read a lot but it's interesting. Must show up to all classes.

i love miss henson! she is my favorite teacher at moraine. i had her for com and american lit. alot of ppl dont like her but screw them. she is one of the smartest ppl i know, and that is what makes her such a great teacher. but if you want blow off this class is not for you!you must work hard but you learn even more.

Ann Henson is an amazing teacher. She truly cares about her students. You have to do the work but she gives ample time and has reasonable requests. DON'T BE LATE THOUGH!! Also Show her that you care about the class and how you do and she will put herself out there to help you!! I would recommend her to anyone I know!

Ms. Henson has enthusiasm and a great sense of humor...things which most faculty don't have anymore. I loved her class, but you DO have to be on time and prepared.

She is truly an amazing teacher. I took her for both com101 and com102 and was one of my favorite classes. She may come off as a tough teacher at first but she is hilarious. She knows what shes doing. The people who are complaining about her are the ones who didn't put any effort in the class and never showed up. its your own fault kids. shes great

most of her work is posted on blackboard which is helpful for xtra points or when you miss class....really loves literature....often gives out simple assignments... overall a pretty good teacher

She is helpful n friendly but expects u to do the work. If u r lazy or not motivated don't take her. Please come to class on time and make an effort to take an interest in the essays you submit to her. I myself would take her again because I really like her teaching style.She is a great teacher.

Took her for COM 101 last semester and loved her! She is hard, expects alot, but I am going to take her for COM 102. If you fail, it is your fault. MUST attend class!

Henson rocks my world. The only thing that could make her class better would be fishnets. And donuts. It's best to not ask why, this is just opinion.

Ms. Henson is one of the greatest teachers I have ever had! She is very helpful and caring of her students. She expects only the best from her students. Her class can be easy but only if you put forth effort to it! I am still currently taking her class for Com 101 but I look forward to going to it everyday!

Makes you excited about the class. Very helpful in building your writing skills. She means what she says.

I wasn't so sure the first couple days of class if I would like it. She does an ice breaker and it totally made a difference. I loved her class enough to sign up for 102 during the summer.

Loved this class! She lets you explore your own writing. If you fail it is your fault for not putting the effort into it. That is all it takes for her class. Will take her for my LIT classes if the scheduling is available.

I took her class this summer and have to say this is one of the best teachers i have EVER had. As long as you turn in your assignments on time you will get an "A" in this class. Anyone that is posting negative remarks on this site about this teacher must not have attended class at all or is reporting on the wrong teacher. Mrs. Henson your Great!

She was awesome i loved her so much when i took com101. I took a break from com this past semester but i am going back this next semester and she is my professor. I made sure of it. She makes writing really fun.

Mrs. Henson is the greatest professor I've ever had! She was very helpful with all of her assignments(and other problems you may have) She's sweet and I plan on taking every class that she teaches :) If you failed her class then you just are not very bright and didn't do the work because she is very easy with her grading ^_^

Ms. Henson is the greatest writing teach I ever had. Dhe is always up for helping students, she cancels class a lot, and offers to proofread your essay multiple times before you turn it in. She actually gives you a heads up when she's canceling class. I loved her, one of my favorite teachers at Moraine. Our class discussions were interesting.

Mrs. Henson was the best teacher I have had at Moraine! She DOES care, regardless of what this one slacker seems to think, and she is always open to students. I loved our journals! Take her, you will be happy you did!

I love A.Henson. Her class was fun to take. She has a special sense of humor so her classes are funny. Yes she is missing a lot of her classes but that gives you more time to prepare. I had no problem with her. Nice, fun to be around ...

Ms. Henson's class was great! Yeah she missed class but she broke her foot! The assignmnets are clear but not easy. I think that she has high expectations about behavior and respect. Take her class and LEARN something!

Ann Henson was a great teacher! i hate englsh classes but she made it very easy. we only had to write 3 main papers and the topics were fun to write about. then we had a one page journal each week. She fun, easy, and a great teacher. she might cancel class at times but why complain about it? if i get a chance to take her again i will!!

Ann is one of the best teachers I have every met. So all you people who are writing negative comments are the ones who never came to class and are lazy. You go to school to learn in order to learn you have to work hard. She has you do papers and writing essays as long as you do them you will get an A or B. and she is also nice and down to earth!

Love her!!! She's so pretty, dresses very well, is such a sweetheart, and is just an overall great person and teacher. She's also very understanding about assignments and just in general. Great sense of humor and makes the class tons of fun!

Ms. Henson is a great teacher, the best I have had at MVCC. She helped with my papers and I'm not even in her class anymore. She doesn't like immaturity or students who think they deserve the world and will let you know. Oh, and come to class prepared for peer review. Ms. Henson is very fair.

Clearly, the people giving the bad ratings are just lazy and (most likely) very stupid individuals. Hard to fail- unless you don't do the weekly journals, but they're fun. Assignments fun. She is easy to listen to and never gives busy work. Class was actually quite interesting. Hilarious, caring, just awesome. Doesn't require book. Take the class.

Couldn't believe all the bad reviews she has on here! One of the nicest and most interesting teachers I ever took!! She actually wants you to LEARN which isn't a bad thing!!! I am not the best with papers but she is SO helpful! i completely recommend her! She is a sweetheart too! TAKE HER YOU WON'T REGRET IT!

I have to admit that when Mrs. H told us the topic of class was education i really thought about dropping. SO glad I stayed! Awesome discussions, caring teacher, interesting assignments... Do yourself a favor and TAKE THIS CLASS!

Professor Henson is awesome! We have the best discussions and are given a lot of freedom. Those who say she doesn't give directions don't want to put in the work to come up with topics on their own. Out of our class only 1 person dropped...Think this says alot. Def taking her for more classes!

Mrs. Henson is not a teacher that you should expect to go to class and not do anything. She really cares about her students && their improvement. Students just look for a easy teacher and don't look for the teachers that will actually teach you. No books are needed,she places everything on blackboard. Only did two papers and the final project.

Ms. Hanson was the teacher that made me love reading. Fantastic teacher, explains everything with clarity, & she provides the material you need to read,which by the way is very easy. I'm very grateful I had her as my LIT 222 teacher. If you want an enjoyable & easy class, take her, you'll do fine.

College 101 is so unnecessary. I only went to class for the mandatory sessions. Easiest A of my life. Just do the assignments and you get an A

GREAT, AMAZING instructor! was always willing to explain anything! always available after class for extra help and so easy to talk to! made me remember how much i really enjoyed english. weekly journals from the reading, a couple of papers and an end presentation. fyi... she loves talking about football!! lol Take her! she's truly great!

One of the most influential and amazing teachers I have ever met. She is so sweet and down to earth. Her class is so easy if you pay attention and listen. If you show her respect she shows it back. Can't stress that enough. She doesn't allow being on your cell phone in class which makes you listen and participate better. Would take this class again

Mrs. Henson is my absolute favorite teacher! I have taken 4 of her classes! She has a great personality and is more than willing to help you in and out of class. As long as you participate in group discussions you will be fine.

This is my third class with Mrs. Henson. I took her COM 101 class twice because I failed it the first time which should show how much I like her. I don't know what people are talking about when the say she's unclear. The syllabus is like 12 pages! There are basically 4 major writing projects and we work in the computer lab a lot so little homework
