No problem wiht him as a prof...

This guy actually taught something, he doesn't just read out of the textbook. So he isn't a full professor, big deal, that doesn't affect his capability to teach.

1B3-Uncle Tony is the best prof i've had up to this point. Although his tests are a little bit hard, you actually leave the class having LEARNT a lot. His lectures sometimes can be boring but for the most part interesting..the course is dull at first but picks up with databases and computers (internal parts & external)..very nice educated guy!!

Very nice teacher, can get boring at times. Tells funny jokes here and there. Is genuinely interested in teaching students the required level of material.

Nice professor, good at teaching the content required for the course. His tests are quite difficult and requires a lot of studying on intricate pointless details. Although he can be entertaining with joking around, his lectures end up quite boring based on the content and the heavy reliance on slides. Textbook reading is mandatory for this course

I found him very entertaining.

Amazing knowledge of global economics, technology and problem solving techniques. One of my best profs ever.

Don't be fooled by open book exams. They were a lot harder than you think. You have to know where things are in the book or you will not finish the test. I heard that other students who din't read the book were screwed for sure. Dr. Hurst is a good p;rof though and makes a boring course fun to learn from.

Uncle Tony makes a tough course easier to learn because he takes time to answer questions in class.

Uncle Tony proves that learning can be worthwhile if you put in a little work. I always enjoyed going to his lectures and miss the atmosphere he created.

dr hurst presents a pretty rigorous set of lectures and exams but he is fair and just amazing in the classroom

Prof Hurst is so good at explaining complex topics. I guess that's why the room is crowded with students from the other prof's section. Too bad my other teachers aren't even close to his ability to teach.

When I was stuck, Prof Hurst would not give up until I understood whatever I was having trouble with. He never fluffed me off like some others do. I really enjoyed going to his lectures because there was always something funny or really interesting.

Good speaker very good at explaining - course was one of the tougher ones I've taken but it was worth the effort. Thanks Uncle Tony.

this professor is a true professional and it's too bad there aren'[t more likke him i just loved this course despite the workload i learned so much

very good speaker and very funny at times I enjoyed his course despite how tough the assignments were plenty of time on tests and lots of easy questions but some very hard - definitely glad I studied for them properly

Dr. Hurst is pretty good but sets tough midterm and exam. Take good notes in class. He's also very witty at times. Tutorials are not always that helpful - some of the TAs don't know the material very well.

Read your book, go to class, take good notes, pay attention to what Hurst says about what's on the midterm and you should be ok. Claas was fun but I spent a lot of time reading compared to my other courses.

Prof Hurst is great teacher but goes too fast for non-English speaker like me. I learned a lot of stuff that is useful. Midterm was hard but fair. Don't skip classes. |Try to find a good study partnerr.
