VERY GOOD, WOULD TAKE HIS CLASS AGAIN. NOT EASY, BUT GOOD.
Great teacher, you will learn a lot! The class discussions are also interesting, it's a class you'll enjoy going to.

Good teacher, had a lot of discussion. And always helped when help was needed.

He is kind of hard, but a GREAT teacher. His class is interesting and the time flies by!!!
HIS CLASS IS LAME AND EXREMELY BORING...IF YOU INTO LONG LECTURE WITH LOTS OF B/S YOU'LL LOVE HIM!
His test are hard and he likes to start arguments in the class. We spent most of our time arguing about what we thought. Some parts are intersting and some are not. Good Teacher!
he is a great teacher.....very helpful. he is very demanding, but if you do the work you will get a good grade.
he's a great professor! the class is extremely fun. You'll learn alot if you pay attention. Tests are hard, but so worth it!
One word...Tough!
He is THE BEST teacher I have ever had. Instead of spoon feeding you information, he makes you debate and decide your own feelings. It is a hard class, but he will go to any lengths to help you understand, he even has a final exam study session with free pizza. He is the best!
GREAT professor! The class is pretty easy if you read the chapters and take notes in class. He drops the lowest test grade so you really don't have to take the final exam. Starts arguments in class but it is very interesting class.
AWSOME prof. interesting classes. lots of discussion. study groups. great prof for freshman.
wow, what an awesome professor! he is very helpful, and he makes the lecture interesting by encouraging discussion. he will definately make you think! if you ever get stuck, dont hesitate to ask for help, he is willing to give extra help where its needed. i definately recommend him!
his class is hard! and his style of teaching is debating.. very hard to understand. good luck! might i add, he's nice eye candy!
Takes an easy class and makes it impossible. Won't let you make up a test if your out sick either.(found that out the hard way)
I loved Dr. Angulos class. He is a great professor and his tests are not bad as long as you study your notes. He is there to help you, not to fail you like some professors. Plus he is SO CUTE!!
This was my first class at Winthrop. Class is intriguing, keeps you thinking. Tests are not too bad, but take the class seriously and study. He is kind of funny and soooo easy on the eyes.
He is hands down the best teacher I had last semester. I loved his class and he made me want to do well in his class. I actually found myself studying alot for his tests. If you take good notes and study hard there is no reason you shouldnt get an A. I recommend this class to everyone that need to take his class. He makes you think for yourself.
Best professor at Winthrop. His class is what a college class should be like. He is very clear on what he expects of you and he makes the sometimes boring material interesting. Plus he's super cute and went to Harvard!
THE BEST!
He is a very good teacher. He is very willing to help out anyway he can. He is also very cute!
Professor Angulo is terrible. Everyone says he's hot and all, but only if you like stuck up pretty boys that spend more on hair spray than their mortgage. On ever test I've had for him, he'd take 2-3 points off each short answer and not tell me what I did wrong to fix it. He goes out of his way to confuse you. RUN AWAY!
he is so wonderful!! and so smart i was very blessed to have him. i hope he keeps up the great work
I love this man. He's an amazing professor and person! If you want to learn about education and have fun while you do it, take him. You will do a good deal of work, but the work isn't very hard and you can def. make an A!
Gorgeous, expects you to be responsible, wonderful teacher, totally willing to help you if you ask. I would take his class anytime.
I think the only reason girls say he's hot is because there are NO guys on campus. Apparently we're starved for them here. He's hard to follow, and he does challenge you.
Cool guy, but IS cocky. I would be cocky also if I graduated from an Ivy School. He is structured and tests are not TOO bad if you have your notes to study.
Dr. Angulo is awesome...he's intelligent, handsome and just a nice guy. Education teachers sometimes make classes more difficult than they should be, so take him...you'll enjoy it!
good looking but OH SO VERY COCKY. he's just a prick and it made me dispise him. class was interesting and not hard once you got a hang of the way things worked. but i just couldn't stand him.
SOOOO HOT!!!
Dr. Angulo does not tell you what is going to be on the test and does not put the book with his lectures.
Dr. Angulo is most likely the most inconsiderate professor i have ever known. He likes to review for finals and tell you that certain things are on the final, and then he doesnt use that information at all. Im pretty sure he just likes to screw people over.
Interesting class. Topics were practical and stimulating. He always wants to help you succeed.
Dr. Angulo's tests are easy if you are able to outline both his lectures and the text. Appropriate class participation is a must for a decent grade. I thought his lectures were interesting, but outside communication (email, etc) was never responded too. Overall, a good teacher, but he kind of looks like a brunette Zach Morris off Saved by the Bell.
You have to work to get an A in his class, he doesn't just hand out good grades. I think that is why a lot of people do not like him. He is very interesting and hist lectures actually deal with real life situations. He is always willing to meet with students and help with papers, tests, and assignments.
Dr. Angulo is an interesting professor. I feel like I've learned more from him than I have any professor at Winthrop thus far. I know that I will use what I learned in his class in my future career as a teacher. You have to work really hard in his class and read the textbook. His tests definitely are not easy though. Overall, great guy.
Prof. Angulo's class is open discussion. The discussions get you involved, but when it comes to the text: it's a completely diferent story. Te book was hard to understand and we didn't go over any of the stuff in the book. The tests are based solely on the book.
Sometimes this class was interesting, but most the time the lectures are extremely long and the class seems to go on forever. He never teaches anything out of the book but he tests on it. You basically have to go to class or you will miss too much to catch up.
He is very intelligent which sometimes makes him very hard to understand what he may want. He is willing to help you out anyway possible, but the effort is all up to you. Make sure you keep up with the readings. Class is not madatory. He knows what he wants and is very picky about what you turn in. stay invovled in class discussions
He is very intelligent and knows what he's talking about, but he plays "Devil's Advocate" and you may never know what he wants from you other than to create your own opinion and know more or less everything. Don't bring a laptop, and READ THE TEXT! Good luck though, it's some thick reading.
He is easy going and fun. He takes time to get to know you and really cares how you do. He treats you as an adult, so you are responsible for going to him when you need him, but he'll move things around to meet with you. His tips are really helpful. READ THE TEXT and TAKE NOTES it WILL be on the TEST!
He made Human Experience fun and interesting. Since you have to take it, i would def take it from AJ
He was a fantastic teacher for education 101! He has an amazing grasp of the subject, and is really great at sharing it with his students. He makes you care about what he is teaching, and makes it mean things. He is really patient, but he treats you like an adult. Take every class you possibly can with him!
Dr. A is awesome! He challenges you to use the knowledge you have to build upon what he teaches. He forces you to become a free thinking inidividual and not use the cookie cutter approach to learning. I thoroughly enjoyed him and wish I could take majority of my coursework with him.
Awesome lectures- hes engaging and truly interested in student involvement. Helpful when it comes to giving direction for papers. Tests can be painful- hes all about details in both the text and his lectures...ps- the textbook is so dense =(...this class will give you a crash course in college standards...but I Definitely learned a lot.
Makes you buy his book, which you won't ever use. Bases grade on a couple of tests - If you are good at cramming, you'll do well. I've heard EDUC110 is much easier with other profs though...
NOT an easy teacher! He says you don't have to show up to his class except for his tests, but DON'T do that! He uses things in the classroom for his test AND it's extremely hard to be prepared for those said tests. Study from the book and listen well on the conversations in class! They will prove useful!
He has great lectures and I really enjoy them. Class is hard but if you get stuck with him you will enjoy his class. I'd recomend a teacher who has the reputation of being a little easier, but angulo is pretty good. You have 3 exams(non cumaltive) test stuff comin from notes and an text. get participation points though
Professor Angulo is a hard teacher, as far as tests go, but he prepares you well for them. He doesn't lecture from the book, so you have to read that on your own time. He makes class interesting; even the history portion of it. Attendance is not mandatory but come anyway. He keeps me awake at 9:30 in the morning, and that's saying something. :)
Hardest teacher EVER. I hear about other HMXP classes watching movies...we don't do that. This is a required course for everyone on campus, so it should be geared toward the stupidest person, but it isn't with him. He takes off points on everything! It's near impossible to get an A in his class. Simply put, stay away!
He is a very hard teacher. He is a good professor for those who like to be intellectually stimulated. ;) He broadens your mind and makes you think. You will definitely not fall asleep in his class.Take his class if you want to know what I mean. He likes the textbook a lot but most of material for tests comes from his lectures so take great notes!
I loved his class. He does play the devils advocate on most days but it leads to some interesting converstions. Speak up and particpate in class.
He is hard but makes you think. He gives 3 test 1 of which is the final but counts no more than the others non cumulative you must read the book his lectures are not from the book the test come from the notes and text he is difficult but very interesting
Teacher is pretty cool, very funny makes discussion/class go by rather quickly and smoothly.
Dr. Angulo is the type of professor that will make a person think about a topic in dept. He is AWESOME!! Make Sure you go to class even though its not mandatory but i would highly recommend it! You will miss a lot of important information if you skip! If you can pass his class you can pass any education class!
Cramming is key for his tests. Participate in class (it counts for a lot, even if he doesn't tell you that). Very smart man, but he's extra full of himself and pays no attention to professionalism of being an educator. He rarely responds to emails, and he takes no regard for wu grading policies.
He is an awesome professor. You will learn a lot in this class. If you are truly interested in becoming a teacher you will learn really good information. The book is a used for the tests. He teaches from his own notes and the book comes from both. You have to read to make a good grade but it is not impossible.
Professor Angulo is a difficult professor, but you will learn a lot from him. In our class, he seemed to wait until we proved ourselves on the first test before making jokes and being actually nice, but he's a surprisingly funny guy. He teaches from his notes, but reading the chapters in the book is essential for his tests. Don't miss a class!
Professor Angulo has high expectations. Be prepared for class, study for the tests and read over notes and the chapters. Overall he is an excellent teacher. I highly recommend him if you want to learn alot and like a challenge! He can be intimidating at first but is cool. Dont be afraid to ask for help :)
amazing
He is very intimidating but a great teacher. you learn so much from every single class. the tests are easy if you know all the notes and read every single chapter assigned. i recommend you take him!!!
It's a lecture class but he involves the class and makes history interesting. This is not an easy class though but I learned a lot.
INTIMIDATING! Would not take him again. He greatened my HATE for history!
This class is very difficult. There aren't many assignments which means if you mess up one thing you're screwed. He's very intelligent but very intimidating when it comes to asking him questions and getting help.
This class is very hard. He will not directly tell you things, you have to be smart to firgue them out.He will let you write 5 pages of papers without using passives voice. It is stressful.
Challenging but awesome!
He is intimating at first but one of the best professors I've ever taken.
He comes across very intimidating and has very high expectations. You must participate in his class to do well. You learn practical things in the class and the content is actually very interesting.
His syllabus is useless, when you go to his office to ask for clarification on what the syllabus says he simply replies with "Look at the syllabus." You should read every one of the little stories in the book because he give multiple choice tests on random ones without ever giving an indication that reading is necessary.
I am in the 2nd week of the course, and already I can tell that he does not give straight-forward answers to questions concerning his confusing syllabus. Went to his office hours and contacted him via e-mail, but never got the answers that I needed. Unhelpful and told me that being unhelpful is a pedagogical strategy to prepare teachers. Run!
Tough class, but you will learn. Clear and helpful for my needs.
Great class! Very helpful!
Great guy and a great class if you like learning.
He is passionate about education, but he's such a tough professor. He assigned us a 10 page paper as freshman. I would not take him again.
Best professor I have had. He knows his stuff and was very willing to help.
Great class. He requires an 8 page paper, but it is not hard. I asked for help and he was great.
I loved this class. Learned more from him than my other classes combined. His exams are open notes and he grades fairly.
Pros: Very engaged in the subject matter and makes learning fun. Cons: Not the best at explaining assignments or answering emails/questions about projects. You have to take notes on EVERYTHING, including minute details because you never know what will be on an exam.
This was a great class with excellent lectures. He gave our class lots of feedback and worked with us individually and in groups. Take him up on his office hours and you will learn.
Great professor. Word of caution though, pushes for socialism. Tends to dress it up as a beautiful thing. Just be well grounded in your beliefs. Still a great professor.
Take anything he teaches. Great teacher! His grading is tough, but fair.
Hands-down one of the best professors I have ever had at Winthrop! His class is all lectures, but he has passion behind everything he talks about. I enjoyed learning from him, but be aware in this class there are only a couple of grades. He is a tough grader, but he will reward you well if you earn it!
