Clac-3 is tough! But she is clear as to what she is teaching. Clear grading criteria. Test are completely based upon the notes and chapter reviews. Just look at the homework once(optional not mandatory) and an easy A on the test.

I'm currently taking her online class and I like it. The lessons are straight to the point. She makes you personally interact on BB which is kind of a waste of time I think but it's some easy points. Also, she doesn't let you make up tests or anything so you better be good at time management or you won't pass.

She is a great professor overall, a bit of a tough grader, but clear instructions, and her tests are practical.

She wants you to understand the processes and concepts. Super friendly and helpful. She seems to have really thought out the curriculum and has planned her time well. Never felt rushed.

Mingela explains things very well, if math is not your best subject I recommend her lectures. She also gives out note packets that are helpful to refer to when studying and doing homework

Mrs. Mingela is a great teacher. Her lectures and notes are clear and well done- she goes through them step by step. She answers any homework questions even though its not mandatory to do homework. she gives small quizzes before the bigger tests in order to show you what you need to focus on for studying later.

You have to be self motivated and manage your time well. If you can do this, this class is for you. MY MATH LAB allows you every chance to get 100% on your homework and the practice exams are pretty close to the real test. If you apply yourself an A in the class is attainable!!

Great class! You're given a schedule from day one so you know what is Due and when. The Professor emails regularly to remind everyone of upcoming Due dates. Lots of my Mathlab homework, but it can be taken over to get full credit as much as needed. The tests are very much like the practice exams. Lots of extra credit is offered. Take this class!

I took her online class for Math 053, and I am currently taking her online 113 class. I love her and would take her for every Math class. In Math 053 I got 103% as my final grade. Keep due dates in mind and don't wait to the last minute to do homework or quizzes. Her practice exams are just like the real exam. Offers bonus.

She is a great professor over all, always liked going to her class. Her reviews for exams are clear on what she expects from you come test day. She is approachable and encourages questions.

I am not the best at math and I was nervous to take an online class especially for a 7 week course, but Professor Mingela was an amazing teacher and really seemed like she wanted everyone to succeed. There is a ton of homework but it is all extremely helpful when it comes to the exams. I would definitely take another course with her.

There is a lot of homework, but I feel like after many years of trying to do well in math, this class and professor is making that happen for me.

I took Mingela for MATH 053 online and I loved the class! The videos were very specific, and she would accept hw late for 10% deduction. The tests were very similar to the hw and the practice quizzes. I ended the class with a 4.0. Highly recommend if you're looking for an easy A! Have to do the work though.

I notice quite a few reviews mentioning that she doesn't care about students and whatnot. Yes, she is very strict. But, she does her job well and is probably one of the best math professors at Schoolcraft. Her grading criteria and exam policy is very clear. She makes it quite obvious that there will be no exceptions unless of an extreme emergency.

She starts off every class with questions on the homework, and does a great job explaining any questions that are asked. She does not blindside you with any quizzes or tests, and will make sure that you are prepared to succeed.

Pro. Mingela is an amazing person and teacher! She explains very well and will go over it again until you understand. Homework and attendance are not mandatory, but if you don't show up you'll fail. Homework is great practice--doing this and asking questions will get you an A. 5 exams, 5 quizzes and a final. One of the quizzes is EC. Take her!

She's the best! Goes over HW Q's at the beginning of class. She'll give you the review a few days before the exam/quiz and then she'll do it the day before in class. She does care about her students. She's an amazing teacher. Anyone who thinks otherwise is an idiot. If you utilize all the resources she gives, you'll have no problem getting an A.

She's the best math professor at Schoolcraft! She might be strict, but that's because she wants her students to succeed. All her notes are organized and easy to understand. Sometimes, she goes fast in lectures but that's because it's a short class period. Homework is optional, partner quizzes, and helpful practice exams. STUDY and you'll do great!

Professor A. Mingela was great. She does a great job explaining various problems. She was always willing to answer questions and help students. If you are going to take calculus you have to expect to do homework and this remains true in this course. As long as you study the homework and review guide, you will get an A. She also gives lots of EC.

She made me fall in love with Maths . She is very organized and provides reviews before exams. Just do your homework everyday and pay attention in the class.

Amazing professor! Very detailed with her note packets and is very available for help after class. She didn't really respond to emails, so maybe don't take her online given the other reviews. The class is broken into partner quizzes, unit tests, and note exchanges for extra credit. Provided a lot of extra credit opportunities. highly suggest!

As someone who sucks at math, this class is easy. Being that this is an online class; she offers many resources such as Zoom lectures before & between upcoming exams. She's very clear about what you need to do in order to do well and if you don't print *module notes & use other resources then you'll fail! Just keep ahead of the due dates as well.

Professor Mingela is the best professor I have ever had. Homework is not worth a grade but is highly recommended. She gives extra credit and is a fair grader. She also cares for her students and wants to help them succeed. Her over all teaching approach is very understandable.

Fantastic teacher. I haven't taken a math class since 1995 and am so bad at any math beyond the basic add, subtract, multiply and divide but her classes, recommendations and especially her availability through email helped me understand algebra, geometry and trig. Yes, there is a lot of work involved but she clearly wants you to understand.

Honestly such a good Professor! Most of the coursework is simple and straightforward, and the practice exams are exactly like the actual exams! I haven't taken a math class in a while, but this class was pretty easy. Also provides extra credit!!
