Mr. Clark's class is primarily on writing papers in MLA format. He's extremely helpful on each paper, providing background knowledge and support. There's always room for improvement on each paper. Fair grader. Easy A if you put your time in. All in all, one of my best classes.

Professor Clark is a really cool instructor. He's knowledgeable about the readings that he requires. As long as you keep up with the stories(they're pretty short)its an easy A. He's down to earth and pretty flexible about the entire course. I definitely recommend taking this course if you need to take a lit class.

He tries to make class interesting and different, and it does work, although sometimes can feel like a waste of time for students who are crunched for time. I would recommend this class. It was pretty easy. There were only 4 essays all semester and NO final. As long as you go to class because there are daily grades and do what your suppose to you will do very well. I am taking his class again next semester and am looking forward to it! He's Awesome!

He teaches how to construct an argument professionally. I believe he grades generously, but that may be due to too many students who still lack proper use of English, native or not. The text had a heavy liberal bias--beware of indoctrination from the text. However, the instructor welcomes and does not shut down alternate viewpoints.

This is for formal ESOl students. A.Clark is great and helpful, however, you do have to read the book and really careful with ur turn-in essay (check all of the spellings,fragments...and u will be fine). One more thing,he is extremely helpful and nice, but don't expect an easy A. You are responsible for what you get, but in my opinion,A+ for Clark.

This professor upholds standards as they should be. He is lenient when dealing with students and their issues that prevent them from turning work in on time. He is fair to the fullest extent, and is definitely a master of the English language. Any student attending his classes WILL improve on their usage and implementation of the English language.

I took Professor Clark's ENGL 1301 class. I ended with a high grade, so I thought, "Why not take him again?" I'm glad I did. He is a sweet guy. I took Mr. Clark's hybrid class and I have never enjoyed an english class so much! All the assignments had real life applications which made them easier to complete. Mr. Clark explained every assignment very well and posted the grading rubric so you can know exactly what your paper is being graded on. I highly recommend his class!

Professor Clark, or Aaron as he prefers to be called, is probably my favorite teacher I have ever had. I took Creative Writing with him, and that class took me from being an amateur writer with a bit of old high school skill, and made me into someone who (on a basic level) really understands what it takes to be in the field of writing.

Clark is clear and very acessible, which is a must for online classes. Please do yourself a favor and don't bother with going to a live class for 1301, esp if you're just trying to graduate. The papers were really challenging and fun to write and all the projects were really relatable. Missed a deadline a couple of times, he was very understanding.

Aaron Clark is a great professor I will give him that, but I think he is a tough grader. I know I am not the BEST writer, but I don't think I'm as bad as he makes it seem especially when he grades my papers. If you're expecting a easy A, look somewhere else. Aaron is a great prof! I took his hybrid class fall semester of 2014 and he only had us write 3 papers. He does offer extra credit, but I got an A without doing any of it. I'm a decent writer therefore I always got A's in my essays. He also assigned us quizzes that you're able to take as many times as you want and that also helps your grade.

Take this class. He is an awesome professor. He tells you exactly what you will be doing and how you will be graded. Do the work and you are for sure to get an A. I did. I would take him for any English class he teaches.

Very intelligent man in my opinion! Responds to email very quickly and posts numerous times on email to notify you on updates. This class may seem easy but it's hard. His expectations are BEYOND high with assignments and you won't get full points for just "trying." If you suck at Eng and just got out of highschool? suggest another professor.

He makes homework harder than it has to be. Not all are aiming for Harvard or going to major in English. He's nice and let's you know assignments ahead. Gives feedbacks quickly. He's a perfectionist. Earning points in this class. EASY SUBJECT but in this class HARD WORK. This teacher honestly expects too much from students with homework.

How nice to have a professor at a community college who recognizes that his course is the equivalent of a UT, A&M, TT, and even Harvard freshman writing course. You get the same credit at all these schools! The course load and difficult should be the same. Right? Right.

Had 3 essay throughout the semester, 2 timed writings, one at the beginning of the semester, another at the end. Responds very quickly to any questions you may have. Would take again.

If you are creative minded and want to experiment with writing poetry and short stories, take this class. It's done online, so there is a little bit of disconnect between professor and student relations, but Mr. Clark (or Aaron as he asks his students to call him) is exceptional at giving feedback despite using references from the book too often.

It seemed like from the online course that I took for creative writing that as long as you submit something it will be passed. His feedback felt like it came straight from the book, rarely would there be specific feedback to the work. The content and assignments were interesting enough to keep me loving the course.

What I like about this class is that meetings are once a week, leaving you enough time to complete the weekly assignments. Prof. Clark is always available for his students. Several occasions I stopped by his office to get guidance on my essays. He is specific on what he expects from you. Just get MyWritingLab code (ebook), don't need the textbook.

You should take this class online with Professor Clark! We submitted three essays and the homework we had to do was to prepare us for them. You have to read from the text book, but it's so easy. He gives you plenty of feedback on your homework and is willing to help.

This was not my first creative writing class, but it was my first one online, and I found it to be very high quality. I got a lot out of the exercises as well as the professor's feedback. He was friendly and responsive to emails, and the expectations were clear. No complaints, just a good experience! Oh and one story I wrote in it was published!

Professor Clark is a god teacher. The assignments he has you do all lead up to the 3 essays you have to complete. As long as you do your reading, have a clear understanding of them & each assignment due, you will have no issue with the essays. His feedback is great. Clark was an excellent first semester English teacher. He gave out fairly simple assignments, it got a little difficult when during some assignments due to him wanting very specific fixes done to my paper, but I couldn't quite grasp what he was asking for. I took this class as a "replacement" for my english 4 class at my high school. Given that I did take this course as a maymester class, it felt fairly fast paced. In the three weeks I was in the class, we had an assignment every day except on Saturdays. Just be ready to analyze and summarize articles. Listen to his feedback! He doesn't take latework

I took a 10 week course in a span of 3 weeks, which caused me to have an essay due everyday. The first week it simply started with a 200 word pargraph and everyday he would add around 100 words to the word count. My last essy as 1400 words. This course was very manageable.

For my first semester in college, Professor Clark gave me a great impression on what a professor should do. He's great with feedback and doesn't overload you. Course consisted of 3 papers, 3 projects, and bi-weekly homework assignments and DBs. I really recommend reading the textbook! Its basically a 'How-to' for the papers. As long as you do the homework and follow the rubrics you will get an A on papers. He answers emails quickly and gives clear feedback if you have questions. LOVED this class.

Do the work and get an A, don't do the work and fail. Easy as that, great professor. Read the textbook and your grammar will improve.

Clark was patient, understanding, and would work with you both in class and 1-on-1 to ensure you passed as long as you communicated and tried. Composition is obviously writing heavy, but it didn't feel that bad because we were given plenty of time to complete assignments. Not my absolute favorite comp professor, but I wouldn't mind having him again

The main assignments are 3 writing projects. There is no final exam. Professor Clark truly cares for his students and responds relatively quickly when you email him. It's important to do all of the coursework in order to pass. He's a great professor and gives good feedback. He has welcoming energy about him and I enjoyed taking his class.

Amazing teacher 10/10. He is always there to help, gives great feedback, sticks to the course, safe space for writers. As long as you turn in your work on time and actually put a little effort into your papers you can get an A. I am very sad that he isn't having an online class next semester for 1302 or that the on-campus times didn't work out.

Professor Clark is a really nice guy. He gives great feedback on every assignment and also grades things fairly quickly. His assignment instructions and expectations are very clear and straightforward. I'd recommend his class to anyone.

I had the chance of getting him as a professor for my Dual English class and I can truly say that he was an amazing professor. He gave amazing feedback and made it very clear that his objective isn't to fail, it is to help you further improve your skills as a writer! He doesn't respond to emails quickly but his assignments are self-explanatory.

There was only a few essays that you had to write, the class was extremely easy and straightforward. If you ever need help with your essay you can always email him and he will get back to you with useful comments. Overall a really good professors.

Mr. Clark is a great professor. He made it very easy to pass this class and was always open to questions. If the assignment received a low grade and he felt you could do better he would present the opportunity.

Professor Clark was GREAT. I injured my hand and had surgery which caused me to fall behind. I sent him a quick email and he assisted me. His class is straightforward and should you take it all you would need to do is keep up with the assignments and complete them on time: three essays, 3 author statements, peer reviews, and online quizzes.

He is an excellent professor who recognizes that we have lives outside of class and is very kind. I learned a lot from him and he is always willing to help and provide excellent feedback. He is the very best and comes highly recommended. 10/10

Professor Aaron Clark cares a lot about his students, his syllabus is very flexible, he understands and answers questions students make about assignments, he sits down next to each student once like every three weeks to see if students have any questions and also to see how are they doing in class.

Professor Clark is fantastic! Couldn't recommend enough. 3-week Summer course. Never discouraged or overwhelmed at any point. Concise syllabus and expectations clearly laid out. Just participate! You get feedback from peers and professor. 3 main assignments over 3 weeks, each following the same lay out: - Rough Draft - Peer Reviews - Final Draft

I seriously cant think of a more enjoyable and educational class/professor I've ever taken. Mr. Clark is one of the most caring and relaxing people I think I've ever met. 3 essays per course, but he'll spend weeks with you making sure you feel as confident and proud of them as physically possible. He's so great, I cannot recommend him enough!

Took this professor's class in Summer 2023 and honestly it was a very easy class. Light grader and not many assignments to begin with to it's very straight forward. If you want an easy A, definitely take this class it's totally worth it. Good luck!

Mr. Clark was a very welcoming and kind professor. We did a lot of writing, but he gave a very reasonable amount of time on each essay and was always available to give guidance. He was helpful in his teachings and really cared about each student's success. Attendance was not mandatory nor necessary, he was very accommodating to certain needs. Easy.

Responds quickly to emails. Do the work & you'll pass.

Favorite professor. Took him for ENGL1 and ENGL 2, his work is straight forward you pretty much have to try to fail his class. 3 papers, 3 peer reviews, inquisitive's, 3 authors statements. He does conferences during class to see where you at for your paper and go over anything you need to fix or need help with. His class lectures are very chill.
