He is a great teacher, classes are interesting given that the subject is not. Very fair guy.
Amazing teacher, gives breaks, times passes by so quickly in the 2.5 hour period cuz he is so interesting and he does activities which teach you great things about the course itself! Was a tough marker at first but learnt to tone it down a bit! GOt an A-!
He is a great teacher. Helpfull and exciting, he loves to teach and does it very well. Don't know about grading yet, but I like him.
he is great
Very good teacher. Good explainations, loves what he teaches and like students. Take him.
If u r going to take COMM 210, you have to take him as a teacher, you won't find better one, beleive me. He is fair, helpfull, dynamic, funny, and smart. What else do you need?
he is the best teacher ever.
He is realy good and best fit for comm 210.
He is a great teacher. If you get a chance switch with him. you wont regret it. Very nice guy, helpful and understanding.
Great guy
Those HBR readings are really boring but this teacher makes you want to go to class, interacts well with students. He'll know all your names before the first mid-term.
Great teacher!
Very good teacher!!!!Explains the material very well and always gives good examples. His class is never boring and you can see that he really enjoys teaching!!! Best teacher for 210!!!
Although I believe he has just started teaching; he is quite good at it. He has extensive industry experience, and he makes use of it in his classroom. by giving many real life examples of the material covered in the class. (Hes an okay grader...)

Great teacher, very very nice! willing to help students.
One of my all-time favorite profs. He brings his industry experience and his great personality to a course that could otherwise be extremely bland. A man of the people, i though of him more as a cool uncle than a prof. very approachable, cool dude.
My favorite commerce teacher!!! He's always ready to help students, makes class very very interesting, and is fair with students.
he really tries to be interesting, do a lot of class discussion and he knows w he is talking about.
Fun class. He really does learn your name b4 the mid-term and really wants the class to participate and interact. Overall, he's really a good teacher and grades fairly.
Amazing Teacher!!! He will really teach you something. He is very clear, an uses his industry experience to make his points! TAKE HIM!
he is the best commerce teacher i have ever had. i really recommend him.
He is really the best for Comm 222. He should be awarded distinguished teacher of the year.
He is a good teacher. He explains concepts clearly and gives many examples during the classes. In his class, please be prepared, so you can understand and participate. Your grades depend on how well you understand the dull theories.
Mr.Dresner is a great prof! I had his class 8:45 in the morning, twice a week and I actually looked forward to attending his lectures. He gives plenty of real life examples to help understand concepts. I would definitly take him in another course again.
Interesting class. Be prepared, if you get 90's in Cegap, you will get a 75 in his class. Ask for his help, you will do better!
best comm 210 teacher!!!
I had him twice. By far the best prof at corcordia. He's like a prof from movies... educating and fun. Top notch.
A very good teacher. Very approachable. Not the easiest marker, but I'd recommend him anyway.
Amazing Teacher, Hard Marker, makes you really involved with the class, makes it interesting, and you actually learn something valuble. Overall, my favorite teacher this semester!
Really nice and approachable teacher. He's not strict at all. He also takes the time to explain material to the best of his abilities, while getting the students involved. And on a sidenote, he knows EVERYONE'S name by midterm. :)
Wonderful teacher; explains material very well, and makes the class very very practical.
HE'S SO AMAZING!! EXPLAINS CONCEPTS WELL... AND HE'S FUNNY CUZ HE ALWAYS MAKES FUN OF THIS GURL.... AHHHHH GOOD TIMES W/ DRESNER!!
Fun, clear and concise. Far and away the best prof I've encountered at Concordia. Not an easy marker, but his classes are so engaging that it doesn't matter. I'm trying to get him again for Comm 222. Trust me, you will LOVE this teacher!
He has excellent teaching methods that engage all his students. I would highly recommend him because once the class is complete you are not left with just a mark but with something valuable and applicable to your future. And for all those overachievers (myself incl) the highest mark was an A-
He's an amazing teacher... very clear, keeps the class awake, funny, makes the course a pleasure to attend.
He is an idealistic prof. He is fair and helpful. Highly reccomend.
Vey good professor, extremely practical and friendly. highly recommend.
Second class with Dresner. Looking forward to a third! Very highly recommended.
The course is heavy and lots of material to understand but he makes it more interesting. He is one of the best for this course.
As others critics, he is not a boring teachers. And he answers email on time too. However, I find that he is not an easy marker at all. His exams are a bit more tricky and less straight fwd then the others profs. After 2 courses i have experienced, I believe I won't go for a 3rd one with him.
this prof is the best.Allows for plenty of class participation making the class lots of fun.take him he's a straight shooter no surprises, but you better participate in class discussion if you want good grades.
This is a great teacher...!!! very enthousiastic about his material, often uses everyday life examples to get his point across which makes his lectures easy to understand. Funny, not a hard marker - but make sure you read the book, it will help you a lot.
Amazing teacher, hope to have him again.
He is ok, but i don't find trust in him
Simply great. He believes in applied theory rather than memorization. To top it off, he's flexible and extremely understanding. Doesn't give a lot of hard work either.
He's a nice guy, but this class is such BS!!! Concordia should get rid of this one and add classes that will actually teach us something!
he's a good prof but he's very challenging. he likes to ask very conceptual questions
Makes the subject matter interesting. Can easily relate material to real life situations. Even when I was tired of my class day & wanted to skip this class, teacher made it up with good participative lectures that kept me following the class & chapter at hand. Only thing I have left to say. If you want a good teacher for this class take him. But
i love this teacher! i think everything i know about management i knwo from his class.combines humour with examples and i still remember it all even now.i highly recommend him if your a non-business student, makes it all so easy!
One of my favorite professors. His classes are extremely interesting, and he holds your attention by telling fun anecdotes and gets full class participation. Exams are a little tough, but he's very helpful and understanding.
If you see Professor Dresner teaching a section, do all you can to get in. Whatever it is, you will enjoy the course 100x more if he is your teacher.
Amazing teacher. makes the subject matter soooo interessting. I would definetly take him again!
Great Teacher. Made the class interesting and got everyone to participate. Best 210 teacher by far. I loved going to class even if he never lets you out early.
If you are an extremely hard worker and are used to getting A's, this teacher is NOT for you. He marks very hard and your hard work will not pay off. He picks his faves. If you don't speak in class you are doomed. No one in my section got higher than B+.
This was my favorite class last semester. The 3 hour lectures appear to fly by. However, he is a hard marker. You can expect to get 70s if you don't adapt to his requirements style. No one in class got more than A-, I was one of the lucky 8, most got Bs and C+. Learn the authors concepts from his PPs! And don't try to be too smart in your answers.
He's stubborn. Will not consider a grade review. Is unfair with his marking. Good luck getting above B.
he is unfair and hard marker. Do not take his course both 210&222
Great teacher! Very interesting and funny! He is not an easy marker!
Professor Dresner is a great teacher and a nice guy. However, he is definitely not the easiest grader. The most frequent grades in my class were B- and C+.
These not usually the types of classes I prefer but I must say that this teacher made it very enjoyable. Great guy, cares about his students and relates the matereial to real life examples.
The class was very enjoyable considering I don't really like the content. He is a very good person and a better teacher. Participation is key for his classes. Every class is more or less a discussion. The only issue is his difficult grading. You REALLY need to care for the material to get a decent mark in his class. I would still reccommend him.
Ahhh,,,,,good luck getting a good mark in his class,,,,,exam is written by the coordinator and answers are provided by her too......if wasnt same thing.....then too bad so sad....class average 60s.......good luck getting good mark from him....A- would be a dream come true,,,,,he has his fav,,,,maybe in whole class one person.
Prof.Dresner is awesome!!! Very clear, straight to the point, explicit in what he wants and very helpful. Read the articles carefully, listen in class and you'll do more than well. I got an A in his class and most of the others got B and up. One of the rare Profs that makes class interesting, you actually want to attend!
If you are interested in: marketing, management, running your own company, or the "big picture", pay attention to this course. You will learn fundamentals most management people forget. Make a binder and keep the articles for life. Dresner is experienced and knows his stuff. He does NOT pick favorites - he trys hard to get students to participate.
do not select this teacher,he did not teach any useful information about comm210, and give a very low mark...please select carefully
Great prof. He is experienced and gives good real-life examples. Funny as hell too. He sticks to material that is useful in real-life, rather than useless theory. I felt well-prepared for the exam (though it was a toughie!). I highly recommend him.
Great prof! One of the best! Always there to help and takes the time to get to know you. He helped me come out of my shell and talk in class. Being able to talk in front of people is very important. Enjoyed going to class and the discussion were very interesting. Shares a lot of his personal experience as well!
After my second class with Dresner, I enjoyed him even more! He makes class interesting with animated discussions and encourages participation. He doesn't force you to memorize the book, but you need to apply the concepts learned. He truly likes to teach and wants students to do well. Extremely helpful on the project so go see him if you need help!
I would not suggest this prof for any management courses. He is not helpful in explaining and simplifying the materials. After the final exam he is not welcoming to his students and impossible to arrange appointment with him. His class is very boring. He has kind of depressed personality that reflect in his classes and lectures.
Great Prof! So many returning students in his (he teaches many different classes) he has a way with his students and actually takes the time to learn your name. Encourages participation while not singling you out. Exams are not memory based but more application based which if you attend class, you'll do well! One of my faves!
Great professor, very helpful, his exam are hard but if you are prepared and have read the textbook everything gonna be all right!
Best teacher I ever had at Concordia. Best class (OB). If only he taught accos...enough said.
One of my favorites! Participation is key- listen to what he says and then you'll figure out what he's looking for in an answer and ace the class. Emphasizes importance of practical application of concepts that will be much more useful in life than a definition. Exams are challenging, but you can ace them if you're prepared.
Applaud the guy! Prof Dresner is totally in his element and he is so enthusiastic that his motivation spreads into the classroom. Took his OB class with 300 students and there weren't any problem. It didn't feel like I was in a large class. Participation is very much encouraged. If you want a great grade, just listen to what he says during class!!
This guy is the best. He has a great sense of humor and he knows how to teach, I highly recommend him.
Very good teacher. Has a lot of charisma.
He is not very helpful in clarifying the material. You need to study on your own but the course itself is easy.He seems to be nice but not accessible at all. It's impossible to come and talk to him after the final.
1 of the best teachers i ever had!! HILARIOUS in a good way. Makes you wanna come to class. I definitely recommend. Unfortunately can't say the same for the tutor leader for this class. I wish he was the lecturer and tutorial leader!
One word...AMAZING! This guy knows how to teach. He heavily relies on the textbook but re-enforces the concepts with real life examples from his years in HR. Tends to go off on tangents most times but you learn so much from him. One of the best professors I've had at JMSB.
Attendance is mandatory, makes you do clicker questions every class that count for participation. Class has 300 people in it, very little interaction. Attend class just for participation marks spend your time doing other stuff in class, subject material is so dry that you will not learn anything by listening, sit there and work on other things.
Class was a drag, but not his fault. It was in the BMO Amphitheatre with 300 people. Attendance mandatory - have to spend $50 on an iclicker and then go to class or lose 10% grade of participation marks. Explains stuff well, is amusing.
Enjoyed taking this class. An easy subject, but teacher is passionate and we learn from his experiences other than what's described in the book. Group project gives another learning experience bringing an enriching experience to HR. After taking this class, HR in the industry is not so trivial after all... Fair marker, treats students with respect
Prof Dresner was a pretty good teacher. His lectures can be brutally long though. He pretty much only relies on talking for 3 hours instead of using other things like films, guest speakers, etc. The team project was insanely long and tedious but he graded it very fairly. The final was pretty straight-forward as well. Would probably take him again.
Very good prof. Doesn't only rely on the bs in books that you will never use in the field but gives more practical examples. There should be more profs like him. Would 100% recommend.
