He is excellent at explaining everything. Uses powerpoint and basically outlines the entire chapter for you. Posts notes online. No real attendence policy. Holds study sessions prior to exams very eas-going and easy to talk to.

He does everything he can to help us do better- even holds study sessions in the evenings before exams! All notes are online and exams are multiple choice w/extra credit.

Lectures are boring but he does the best he can considering it's Anatomy and Physiology. He's funny when he puts his leg on the table and gives good sayings to remember stuff. Wording on his tests can be confusing sometimes, but he does grade on a curve so that's helpful. Make sure you study a lot. Know the slides inside out & you'll do fine.

He is a good teacher just his lectures can be really boring. He gives extra credit questions, has a lot of after class help if you want. Very helpful.

Dr. Hogue is wonderful! I really wanted 2 take him for Bio 216, but didnt see his name offered. He goes above and beyond the call of duty 2 help students, & is a really laid back, nice teacher. He prepares all the notes for u online, and has extra study sessions before exams. Just put in the effort and time, and u will do fine. TAKE HIM IF YOU CAN!

Great Prof! Very helpful outside of class, and puts the powerpoints online for study guides. Holds extra review sessions to help. Topic is very hard, lots of memorizing, but he does all he can to make it interesting and exciting. If you're just taking the class for the credits, don't. Put in the effort and enjoy it, and it will be a great class.

Great teacher! I had him for lecture and lab. Lecture with him was definitely easy if you studied. All his exams are based on his powerpoints and as long as you know and udnerstand those you'll be fine. His labs also went with his lectures, I recommend getting him for both. Lab exams are hard! Fill in blank, no word bank! Less clear than lecture.

really great teacher... be perpared to study A LOT but thats the case no matter who you take for 215. He puts joke answers in his exams too so that helps to narrow down right answers. Really good in lab, tries to get you out early and is always willing to answer questions

Dr. Hogue is a great professor. He's funny, and throws in a joke or two on the exams. All exams come from notes and stuff he says in class, which pretty much all mimics the book. He's great in lab too. Easy enough if you study and go to class.

He's a great teacher and the tests are beyond easy. Anyone who says otherwise either doesnt study the slides or just doesnt attend class. I've gotten an 88, 90, 95, and 104 on the tests so you can see its not hard to pass, even tho every1 else says otherwise...good luck

Id highly recommend Hogue for any bio class.. he keeps lectures funny and interesting.. and his tests arnt soo bad just studyy the slide shows and pay attention during lectures and youll pass the class.. The harder you study the better youll do

Dr. Hogue is a great professor for A & P. However, that doesn't mean the class is easy. For the average student this is probably one of (if not) the toughest classes they will ever take. He's willing to help or point you in the right direction if you have questions. Make sure you GO TO CLASS, print out the slides and take side notes. Recommended

Dr. Hogue makes anatomy easy and tries to include the minimum amount of details needed to understand each topic. While attendance itsn't manditory, he will give you extra credit for showing up. I found his class to be easy. And he is funny and he wears t-shirts and jeans every day.

He is the BEST! Attendencce is not mandatory but if you do go to all the lectures he rounds your grade up if your near the next grade. I personally didn't take notes in the class just printed the slides and I got an A. So if your smart you'll take him.

Great professor, very knowledgeable about the material. Always very helpful when I needed it. Class was easy but still challenging (had to use the textbook at times) and interesting. Would definitely recommend if you want to take an A&P course.

He is literally the easiest teacher ever. You never have to even open your textbook. All of his test questions are from he slides he shows in class and he even has review sessions for further comprehension. I would suggest him to anyone.

I lovee hogue , he's funny and keeps you intereted & keeps the class participating. He never uses his textbook but he says you will need it for Bio216 and i recommend getting it for the anatomy lab

I recommend Hogue to everyone! I love his class. If you are there for each time he takes attendance you get .1% so in total you could get 1% added to your final grade, not much but definitely helps! Take Hogue!

TAKE HIM! Hogue is an amazing teacher and definitely knows his stuff. We did not use the text book once and all of his exams come right from his powerpoint lectures. Attendance is not mandatory, but he does occassionally take attendance and for each time you are there to sign in you get 0.1% extra credit. it doesnt seem like a lot but it adds up!

took this class multiple times. the third time i took it i had a 57 at the halfway point in the semester then i decided to start taking school seriously. i talked to him and he gave me pointers on how to study and i eventually brought my grade up to a 76. his class isnt bad if you put the time in. he is a great guy just make sure to study A LOT

Yes you have to study, anatomy is not an easy class. Tests are exactly the power points I got an A and didn't even buy the book. Lab exams are not that bad if you make your own power points in the lab with the pictures. He gives extra credit for just being in class and some answers on the multiple choice are song lyrics. He's seriously awesome

Hogue is a really great teacher. Even though the class is a 120 people lecture he still makes sure you get the info you need. The tests are straight forward. He's a funny guy and I would take again. Also, I did not buy the textbook and so far have not needed it for anything.

Took this course 2 times, withdrew both times. Had a 57 halfway through the semester and was ready to give up on EXSC as my major. Went and talked to Hogue and he gave me the motivation to stick with it and bring my grade up. You actually have to put time into this class. Easy, just study. If you want a cakewalk take it at WorWic, credits transfer.

Made A&P an interesting class. NOT easy, but if you put in the time and work you'll do a good job. Takes attendance randomly for extra credit, and going to the lectures actually helps! He's really funny so the lectures don't drag on. And come on, he has a pony tail and wear khakis and t-shirts to every class... epitome of down to earth

Aaron is such a cool dude, he has a pony tail and rocks band tees. Great teacher, really knows what hes talking about and is clear about what will be tested. He tries his best to make class fun but anatomy is just kinda boring. I would definitely recommend taking him.

Professor Hogue is a good teacher. His powerpoints are the key to success. Study them hard. I personally did notecards but whatever works for you. He doesnt make you come to lecture but gives a tiny bit of extra credit if you go. I recommend him. Good luck because anatomy IS HARD. But he will do his best to help.

This course was difficult, but it was expected with anatomy. Dr. Hogue tries to be as clear as possible and tells you exactly what is on the tests. He is an amazing lecture instructor and he always tries to answer your questions is you have any!

Get ready to study those power points. Make flashcards and be prepared to put in lots of time and effort if you are taking anatomy. I failed the first exam, but after studying harder and knowing what to expect I got my grade up. 4 tests and no final.

I didn't attend SI sessions but if i did i would probably have a better grade. Labs are super easy, they're all on computer software. He was my favorite teacher here at SU so far. My first time taking anatomy was with miriel and had to WD, but Hogue was completely different, i got an A in his class and learned so much. You still have to work hard for this class but go to him if you need anything; he is literally so chill. Read his powerpoints, don't buy the book, but go to class

The test questions are taken straight from the lectures, but the lectures are 100 slide power points. The final is optional, so make sure you study the lectures to get a good score. You only have 4 lecture and 4 lab exams, so they count for a lot, but he's the best anatomy I professor you could take.

Dr. Hogue is a GREAT professor! Anatomy is not an easy class but he tries his best to make it little less challenging. None of his test have "trick-questions", and he makes sure to describe each powerpoint slide in detail. He also Answers questions if you don't understand. I would highly recommend him, he is by far the best teach I've had yet.

Dr. Hogue is the best teacher I've ever had! He's hilarious and genuinely wants you to succeed! Anatomy is a hard class but he definitely makes it as easy as possible! He's SO helpful and his tests are STRAIGHT from the notes. If you study a lot you'll get an A. I got a 99.8 as my grade and got 100's on all the exams but I also studied a ton!

Make sure to know the material pretty in depth. Lab exams are super easy. He always answers your questions, but I still did not receive the grade I needed due to my lecture exams. STUDY!

I took Dr. Hogue for Mammalogy. You can tell he is really dedicated and passionate about the material. Worked with the students to help them be able to understand the material. Lots of memorization, especially of the taxonomy. Learn the Latin and it's easy though. Dr. Hogue's really just a chill, laid back guy and easy to approach if you need help.

I really enjoyed this class, the difficulty was obviously a lot harder than a high school course. He teaches straight from the power point slides which is so much better than studying from a book. I definitely recommend studying A LOT. I wish I could take him again for anatomy II but he doesn't teach it.

Only things that are graded are tests. If you don't put in the work you won't pass, but if you study then you will do fine. All of the information is clearly handed to you on color coded power points so you do not need a book. Would highly recommend.

Dr. Hogue was hilarious! His lectures always had powerpoints that students could print and take extra notes on. The class is a lot of information, however if you go through the powerpoints and make sure you understand everything, the tests are straightforward. Also his lab was sooo easy. He gave you pretty much the exact pictures that were on exam.

Dr. Hogue was an AMAZING professor! He is super down to earth, and tries to make lectures fun. He is very open to people asking questions after class or at office hours. He tries to work with you and your schedule, so that was very helpful. His class is very challenging, but what A&P class isn't?! I highly recommend Dr. Hogue!

Dr. Hogue was a really decent teacher. The class is only really graded on the exams which can be scary, but don't wait until the last minute to study! All of the information is on his lecture slides. What I did is to go over some of the slides BEFORE class, so you have some understanding so you aren't lost during lecture, and to ask questions.

Dr. Hogue is a really great professor. He makes it clear from the beginning how everything is laid out in class. You will have to put in a lot of work especially if you need a certain grade for different programs. Attend most lectures and find a good way to study and you'll do okay.

He gives extra credit for coming to class, lets us out 15 minutes early every class, and gives us study guides for the labs and tests. Super duper easy intro lab science. Just make sure you study for the exams, you only get 4 of them so while theyre easy, theyll tank your grade if you fail.

Professor Houge is really funny and laid back. Doesnt give any homework except for readings that you need to study for the tests. Attendance is optional but it helps to attend class as much as possible

Dr. Hogue's class only had 4 tests and an optional cumulative final. As long as you pay attention in class and take good notes you should be fine. His lectures were engaging but sometimes it was easy to doze off. The lab part was easy. You just identify parts of the human body and the tests were to just name it with correct spelling.

Dr. Hogue is amazing! He makes anatomy super fun and interesting. I found the tests fairly easy, they're based on class. Lab isn't bad, but it's a lot of memorization.

Hogue was an amazing professor for a course as tough as anatomy is. Even with the semester being online, he made It very interesting through his lectures and gave many opportunities to receive a good grade. He is very clear about what he will test you on so there is no surprises. Anatomy was my favorite class by far through out college!!

This professor is really good! I truly enjoyed his class because he educates you on matters that are actually relevant! You definitely have to study for the exams but he makes it pretty simple on the material you should focus on. It is bolded and in red in the power points.

Incredible professor, he taught me so much about A&P in a clear cut, understandable way. Be prepared to study very hard for lecture exams. There are ~100 powerpoint slides for each exam and he will test you on all of them. However, he makes it very clear what needs to be done to pass, and wants his students to succeed. Work hard and you will pass.

Please take Dr. Hogue for 215 he is seriously the best professor. So caring and gives extra credit opportunities to boost your score at the end of the semester if you are struggling. The whole class is just lecturing so my advice to ace this class is put in the work. review and rewrite notes every night from lecture and you will pass. Do not slack.

The course is separated into 4 units, each unit comes with a set of lecture slides which he goes through in class. He clearly loves what he does and is very knowledgeable. At the end of each unit is a test, the questions comes from the information on the slides so if you're familiar with the slides then you're set!

Loved this professor and really made me understand and pass anatomy. The only thing I did not like about this specific class was there were no other grades other than exams, which made it hard to get a good grade. Hogue is a great professor and someone you can have a connection with.

Class is very hard so please pay attention and do si/tutoring. Otherwise I loved dr. Hogue. He's very intelligent and knows how to break concepts down for students to understand. He's also very funny so I liked going to his lectures. I will say that his office hours are kinda annoying because he's not very accessible. All in all I really liked him!

Anatomy is not an easy subject, but Professor Hogue does a good job at teaching this course. If you take notes during lecture, you'll make it through. I also had him for lab and LOVED it (I got an A in lab). Make sure to STUDY before exams, b/c exams are the only graded assignments.
