Really good professor if you need to take this course. Homework is fairly easy and he actually knows what he is talking about. Would definitely recommend! O you have a term paper and a final
This was my 3rd attempt for PHI2010. The first 2 times, I had withdrawn because I found it confusing or boring. I'm glad I took this class with Professor Mobley. He made the content easy to digest and interesting. He is very knowledgeable on the subject and applies practical examples to help you understand. I earned an A+!
Awesome dood in the class now. Hes pro as hell.
Good Professor. Very knowledgable about everything he is like an encyclopedia. He is very nice, Speaks perfect english and explains topics properly. Does take attendance twice for every class and it is included in your grade. Does give short essays for homework and textbook is necessary.
Farely easy to pass if you show up, take the midterm, & turn in the research paper...BUT he does say proudly that he will easily give "B's" yett he makes it hard to get an "A"..explaining the "B" I received for my final grade.
Professor Mobley is an amazing instructor. There is no midterm or final but homework is extremely important. You cannot pass this course without completing your homework. Attendance is mandatory because it is a part of your grade. Class lectures were always interesting and the professor responds to emails quickly. You will definitely enjoy class.
Definitely my favorite professor ! You will definitely pass the class if you simply attend class and complete every homework assignment!
Professor Mobley, was the most knowledgeable person that I have ever know period! THis professor made class sooo interesting, eventhough the subject was sometimes hard to understand, he would explan it the most clear possible.
it was a blended class so there was a lot of homework. There is no midterm or final just a term paper that he gives you all semester to turn in. Overall great professor and class
Good professor attendance is a must since its part of your grade. Lots of homework but no final or mid-terms. Makes material interesting and understandable. Cell phone ringing during lecture gets the class a pop quiz.
Amazing professor. Attendance is important (you get points for it and it affects your grade). Cell phone goes off, automatic quiz. He really wants his students to fully understand the subject. Makes time and responds quickly to emails. Homework was very easy and interesting. LOVED this professor.
Definitely recommend. Had him for ethics and he is so knowledgeable on everything. Opened my eyes to a lot of things. Make sure you do ALL of his homework, read the pages assigned and show up to class. Quizzes are very easy if you pay attention.
He is GREAT! Take him if you can, you won't regret it, he is super fun and makes you laugh a lot. He knows so much about everything! Just make sure you attend class, since its part of your grade, and do ALL the assingments and you'll be fine.
He is so great and if if you taking phi2604 he is the best and you also get two points for everytime you come to class. he is very helpful and makes the class interesting
I don't understand why he only has good comments, I do not like him at all. TRUST ME, RUN!!
This class has by far been my fave class. Opened my eyes to a lot of social/controversial issues, I found myself going home to lecture my parents on what I learned cause of how interested I was. Amazing professor. I learned a whole lot. Cant believe it was a mini term. not enough time whatsoever to learn all i wish i could've. GREATTTTTT TEACHER :)
Both Mobley and this class are some of the best I've taken in college. He's very clear and the subject matter is always fascinating. There is book work so be prepared. I think everyone should take a class this especially with this professor. He's also funny so that always helps.
He is not a good professor, don't waste your time and money,
Very passioned. Aquiz every other class or every class, but easy, no more than 3 questions and you can use the book, internet...4 assignments: selecting a topic, answer 5 questions about a 5 pages lecture, tell a thesis and an antithesis, and the term paper. And only 1 test. You have to sign at the beginning and at the end to get 2 points. loved it
He is a great professor. He really enjoys philosophy and he loves talking about it.He can go on and on for hours. Attendance is not mandatory however it does help your grade a lot. The tests are no hard as long as you study you'll be fine. Awesome teacher and very helpful.
His lectures are interesting but his examples and comparisons are ridiculous. You can clearly see his political opinion in his lectures. He believes his opinion are the only correct answers, and he is clearly wrong in many. Was really looking forward to this class but was very disappointed. For an ethics teacher he has no manners and is rude
Mobley as a professor wasn't too bad. His lectures are pretty clear and sometimes he throws in funny comments etc. The biggest problem is his opinion is in absolutely EVERYTHING, and he thinks that what he believes is the only correct answer. He's also a terribly hard grader, grading heavily on how you write too, not just material.. Don't recc.
Pretty Arrogant professor. Grades pretty fair but it depends on the assignment. Most of the lectures involved him speaking upon what he knows and he does not like to be clarified. Passed with a C, not an easy class persay.
I found him very combative, which is unusual for a philosophy professor. It's ironic that he also teaches ethics, because he seems to think it's ethical to shout down anyone who disagrees with him. He's not the worst professor I've ever had, but I would not take a class with him again.
His classes are always lectures. There r 6 quizzes in total and they are no more than 3 questions. 3 papers(1 optional). He's more than fair with makeups. I will say that he grades extremely hard. If you have no interest in the subject don't take him. You have to attend & pay attention to his lectures to pass. NO STUDY GUIDE FOR FINALS OR MIDTERMS.
He is the best professor I ever had. He is very knowledgeable and has a great sense of humor. Of course, If you don't take the lecture seriously and wait until the day before deadline to submit the paper you are not going to have a good grade. Don't blame the professor. He is not an easy A but he grades very fairly. He is a great professor!
This teacher is amazing, all of his lectures are clear and precise. He seems very into his job and has passion about his interest. He does not tolerate students who do not know what they are talking about. overall would take him again for any PSY related classes
This professor is amazing! His classes are very interesting! Very knowledgeable. Would take him again without regrets! Best professor ever!
This professor is amazing!
He gives you quizzes almost in every class. Three term papers and a final exam. He will tell you that class will be done early but he will end class very late. If you want an easy teacher, i suggest to not take him.
This professor is one of the best professor I ever had in my life as student. He is very passionate and super intelligent. You can see he loves what he does. Very professional, organized and accessible. He would give you a quiz every class but you have the opportunity to retake it if you have a low grade. If you are lazy choose other professor.
Mobley is an amazing teacher!!! He's knowledgable and funny. Time flew by when I was in his class. He made us write 3 papers, 1 was optional (could only affect your grade positively). Open book tests so I suggest getting the book.
Mobley is an excellent professor! It is incredible how he can transform a boring class such as Philosophy into a dynamic and wonderful experience. This guy is funny and incredible knowledgeable. It may sounds repetitive but is true. He is always there for you and answers emails promptly. Give you extra credit and make up quizzes. Love him.
Open book tests. Must be clear in your reasoningcitations on homework to receive full credits on them. He loves to incite debates on differing opinions. Lectures are always animated. He clearly has a passion for this subject and teaches very very well. Tests are multiple choice with a short essay question.
He is a great teacher he let you use your book and hand written notes for quiz, he give make up quizzes, he give you good feed back on your work, he is available to help you understand, but he loves to talk other than that he is great.
Show up & take a lot of notes ! Make sure you do your homework , if not you'll have opportunities to make up the assignment for half a credit. You're better off going to class , he does do pop quizzes and allows us to use our handwritten notes for exams.
I enjoyed Professor Mobley's class. The homework and quizzes are based on the notes, but you have to show up and pay attention! The notes are straightforward. Getting an A in his class is possible, but you must stay on top of the work. He allows us to use notes on quizzes and on the final. It's easy-peasy if you care about your grade.
Aaron Mobley is my favorite teacher at Miami Dade College. I found the class to be very interesting and rewarding. He is a very knowledgable professor and knows what he is talking about. A large part of the course is reading articles from the book and clearly and conscisely responding to them. if you lose arguments a lot take this class. Great Prof
very tough grader !!! he knows his material well , discussions in class are interesting . Must do homework to pass his class .
Super tough grader and homework assignments are difficult. I've always thought I was a good writer until taking this class, he really picks apart your assignments. He's a great professor, lectures are interesting, but probably would've taken someone else if I could have.
This professor is one of the best professors I ever had at MDC. He is very passionate and super intelligent. You can see he loves what he does. Very professional, organized and accessible. He gives you a quiz often (not always hard) but you have the opportunity to retake it if you have a low grade. If you are lazy choose other professor.
He really is very difficult and wants things his way every essay or hw has to be perfect. He wants everything perfect i dont recommend if you arent great at writing.
Great professor!!! loved his class, takes notes and you'll pass.
He teaches good, but when it comes to grading your homeworks, there is no right or wrong answer and it feels like he grades it based on weather he agrees with your answer or not, I ended up with a B on his class and I'm not happy about it because I know I deserved an A
Very tough grader, dissects every aspect of your essay, definitely makes you work harder than usual on an essay, show up to every class cause there is always a pop quiz, and don't argue with him because he apparently knows everything
Very knowledgeable, clear and straight to the point. What a college professor should be. If he gives you a reading... DO IT. He tells you when there will be a quiz and reminds you about HW. DO NOT, I repeat... DO NOT let your phone ring. Put it on vibrate. Tough grader but lets you drop your three lowest grades and resubmit any quiz or assignment.
Prof. Mobley is hilarious and very cool. His lectures are a lot of fun and he keeps the class engaged although he is very picky when it comes to his work. He asks for perfect papers. Written without any errors. There's pop quizzes so be on the lookout, they're usually on the assigned readings he gives. There's also an optional final.
He grades extremely hard. I had him for critical thinking skill of ethics and his class was terrible. he's a very fun teacher and he tries to help you out by letting you make up the assignment you did bad on. towards the end of the semester he drops your three lowest grades but he doesn't show you HOW he wants his argument papers to be written.
This guys course is beyond passable, any hw assignment you submit to him to the best of your ability following strict instructions thoroughly will still get you an F somewhow because he has to see that your views agree with his apparently, ridiculous will never recommend him.
Horrible Professor i would not recommend him to anyone he is the toughest grader ever if you have an a in his class and don't pass at least 3 homework's then you will fail his class these homework's must be based on what he agrees on if not you will not pass he thinks he knows everything and is never wrong
Terrible professor, would not recommend. If you dont pass a certain amount of homework assignments even if your passing the class youll fail the class. His assignments are extremely hard and are based off of what he agrees with. Pop quizzes are very often, and are required to be done in 8 mins or less in the beginning of class. Dont take him.
It is true that he is a tough grader but it's because the subject itself isn't supposed to be cake. Besides his grading, he is a really good teacher and person. He basically tells you everything that is supposed to be on the test and provides you with all the necessary info even though it can be a lot sometimes. Just copyNotesAndSilencePhone.
Mobley isn't going to be an easy A, but his class was fun and he is very educated on what he teaches. He makes a genuine effort to make the class fun. Would coming to class make it easier to pass YES, but it isn't an obligation he allows you to drop 3 grades and attendance is a grade in his class it's up to you. Engaging in the class helps
I like Prof Mobley, his grading can be quite difficult but you can ALWAYS make up the work. You are allowed to resubmit any assignment, essay or even pop quiz. There is no way to fail the class with all the opportunities he gives. TURN OFF YOUR PHONES. If a phone goes off in class, he gives pop quizzes, but if his goes off, we get an A!
Professor Mobley is funny but he takes philosophy very serious. On tests or homework assignments you need to put the answer exactly the way he wants it or you'll get it wrong. He is available for office hours, but careful that he doesn't kick you out. If you like a challenge go with him.
The comments about supposed leanings and grading based on them are simply bogus. That said, I highly suggest that you participate and bounce your thinking off of him. What he will do is point out where your arguments are poorly formed or not. I did this even on topics like torture and abortion (from both sides) and was NEVER unfairly treated.
The professor of this course is very clear in the way he grades right at the start of the semester. He gives you many opportunities to complete the work and pass the course; don't take it for granted. That being said, he does require you to memorize or jot down notes about the material and lectures he has in the course.
he is incredibly picky and tough in grading papers. If you don't complete the HW assignments, you wont pass. If you miss more than 4 unexcused days, you will get a 0 for attendance. There will be pop quizzes, especially if someones phone starts ringing in class. Read the material and handouts, you need to memorize theories and the authors.
You want to pass a requirement for this class don't take him he's like a traitor & tough grader, yea there may be extra credit but has pride in giving you a zero like if you were crap
DO NOT TAKE HIM AT ALL EVERYTHING THAT THE PEOPLE ARE SAYING IS TRUE.. HE THINKS HE KNOW IT ALL, HE FEELS THAT HE IS NEVER WRONG AND YOU ARE ALWAYS WRONG.. HE HAVE PRIDE IN FAILING YOU NOT CORRECTING YOU.. HE TALKS TO MUCH TO THE POINT WHERE HE SOUNDS SO DUMB.. HE THINK HE HAVE ALL THE ANSWERS ACCORDING TO HIM HE'S PERFECT.. DO NOT TAKE HIM NOOOOOO
Hes is very unique professor. He is very straight to the point with what he wants from his students. He gives great lectures , and it is very easy to ask him any question you may have. He works with you, extra credit is a thing and his quiz are base on his class lectures so SHOW UP!
he is an extremely tough grader. but he gives you every opportunity to submit early work for feedback and late work to make up . he is clear on the first day how to pass the class. he challenges you to argue strong points both written and verbal . if you slack off you will fail
Worst professor ever.
he is very good at explaining all the content. in total there are 4 homework assignments. as long as you do them beforehand and get his feedback you will pass them with at least a C or better. If you resubmit multiple times you can surely get an A on them. Do NOT submit them the day before or the day of the due date!! Bc you will not get feedback.
Great teacher, very passionate and enthusiastic about what he teaches. He gives a lot of lectures but theyre very intresting and intriguing however the homework essays in his class are by far the hardest,he gives many chances to redo assignments make sure you use that opportunity early on and you should be fine.
Professor Mobley is a very tough grader. Be ready to write. Lectures arent interesting at all. I would advise anyone to take another professor if available.
Hes grading is the worst I asked help from a tutor on all his essays and still gives out F and D like he doesnt care. Gives random quizzes without giving you a warning and only give you 8 minutes to do it! This class is so horrible and be ready to redo your HW like 5 times before he gives you a C on it at best. Grades like this is your major smh
Professor Mobley is a great professor and executes his lectures with a lot passion. His homework are hard for the average student but as long as you pay attention and write good notes, you pass with flying colors. Don't be lazy!
Amazing but tough teacher , he really makes you work for a good grade but he gives incredible and specific feedback and he provides you with opportunity to turn in late work and raise previous low grades to higher grades. Overall he is overly-qualified, Super intelligent , very funny and a great Teacher.
I have never in my life encountered a Professor like him. His grading is horrible and he is very bias! I took notes, I read all the materials, I even went to tutors! Still I received nothing but F's and D's in his class. I asked around to see if i was the only student struggling in his class and apparently I am not!
Honestly, I expected PHI to be fun. This prof took the excitement right out of it. His feedback isnt clear or worth much, uses comments like this is wrong wrong incorrect, so its not much help if youre rewriting the paper. But he does make grading easier than most prof. You wont necessarily fail but its hard to pass with an A.
I cant think of a more inconsiderate grader than this guy. Extremely bias on his grading. A rock has more compassion than him. He said wed only have a few quizzes sike we took one every other class. We take your class cause we have too not cause we want too, take that into account. Im pretty sure he screwed me too with my grade. Dont take him
If you want to LEARN, take him! He is beyond smart and knows this stuff but if you want an easy A DEFINITELY NOT the professor for you. Has to be one of the toughest professors I've have taken yet.
Worst professor a student can have. All he does is curse in his lectures and grade super harsh so if you wanna pass please do not take this man. Acting like a whole robot out here. Worst professor ever.
Unfortunately professor Mobley took the fun right out of this class. You will discuss very controversial topics, but your argument will never be correct. He is EXTREMELY tough at grading papers, so beware. Also huge downfall of the class is that he only allows 8 minutes for a quiz that easily should be 20 minutes. I would not take him again.
This professor made my class harder than it actually is! He thinks hes a philosopher and if he does not like your response he will give you a D! Professor Moral and ethics its about every person you CANNOT change ones mind.
Professor Mobley is probably the worst in MDC. I would not take him again! He jokes around in class but gives timed quizzes & grades tough! Provides rude feedback and always think hes right. When discussing certain topics, he doesnt make one feel comfortable to talk. If you want to pass, i would not recommend him!!!
Touch grader but, gives time to turn in papers so, that you can improve it. Don't be lazy if, you think your work is good enough it's probably not. You have to think a lot! Put in the effort and you should come out of his class with a B or higher. Good luck!
He comes off mean and strict. He will make you look dumb because that is the nature of this class. If you like concepts like (what is life, happiness, love, knowledge, and truth) Then take this class but know Professor Mobley only passes determined hard workers.
This Professor is... great, honestly. I do feel I learned tons, and the man knows his stuff, no doubt. That being said, RUN! I am/was going through very difficult personal obstacles, and just could not keep up. It seemed so clearly laid out in his power-points, and then my quiz grades just would reflect. I withdrew, first class Ive quit on. RUN.
I would never recommend this teacher t anyone, not even my worst enemy. Even after attending every lecture and completing every assigned reading nothing was enough for this professor, also there is no clear rubric so be prepared to be told your writing was bad just because he said so. Also he is extremely unprofessional, he curses at students, etc.
Such a difficult person so you can only imagine the course! He is a headache, do not take this class. Gives really bad feedback, I'm talking about "This is not good, change it" feedback. Terrible. Everyone in may class had Ds and Fs and he'd blame us for it!!!
This class was extremely depressing. I just wanted to do my best and complete my requirements as a stem student. This professor made it impossible to do. I hated every second of it. He curses at his students and it is extremely degrading. If you have the chance to take this class with another professor. DO IT.
I took Professor Mobley for POS2041 and PHI2064. He's not an easy professor. He's hard on you if you mess up, but he gives great feedback to make it better. His papers can be difficult, but if you go to his lectures and ask questions, they are easy. I read the readings minimally, but his lectures were so clear that reading the book seemed optional.
This teacher is honestly the worst I have ever had. Has no interest in helping his students succeed just throws the work at you and wont even really help you with it. He uses quite a bit of profanity in class. If you have a chance to take critical thinking or philosophy with another teacher do it cause he is not a good choice.
This professor is the worst at MDC. He tells you at the beginning nobody passes his class with anything higher than a C and hes actually proud of that. Super tough grader be prepared to find out that your essay is terrible just because Professor Mobley says so. Hes also really mean to his students during class and uses a lot of profanity.
Professor Mobley is undoubtedly a great person, funny and knowledgeable. However, his lectures are horrible and boring. He grades your papers unfairly. He can give you whatever he wants no matter how good or bad your essay is. Even if you have one mistake he will give you zero for the entire question. Overall I think he is a terrible professor.
Professor Mobley is not a hard teacher, he's just no nonsense. Taking his class caused me to pursue a bachelor's degree in philosophy and now I am currently in grad school. I hope to teach philosophy on a collegiate level. If you desire a future in law, philosophy, teaching, or human resources this class is for you.
I loved this class very much, and it inspired me to become a professor. This class has helped me become more of a critical thinker, and I never wanted to miss a class due to how interesting his lectures are. He is a tough grader, but if you have an issue with writing your arguments, he will help you! Thank you Professor Mobley.
Okay he is for sure a good professor and 100% knowledgeable, however has a hard attitude and had a complicated lecture to understand, has hw and test questions really really challenging!! He knows what he does but his class is just hard and consuming. Will have to retake this class which it delays my life a lot.
Professor Mobley has been one of my hardest professor so far. He is not an easy person. He lets you try multiple times, his grading system is really convenience (BUT YOU STILL HAVE TO STUDY HARD!). I will definitely not take him again, just because my major has nothing to do with ethics. Hard class, a lot of writing.
I took this class over the summer and it was bittersweet. The chances he gives us to fix our work is the best part of this class, but his attitude is what got to me. The midterm and final aren't proctored.
This class is actually easy. Other classes have complicated components and large assignments but this class does not have. The exams and not-time-limited quizzes are easy. Also, this class is of very good quality. The class is very interesting and the professor is very professional. He explains things clearly and is easy to understand.
This class is somewhat easy. There is a lot of material to cover, but the class is very organized & he knows what he is teaching about. I learned a lot & he was always engaging with the class & asking questions. Assignments were a little hard as they were critical thinking, which means you need to understand the topic. He is always willing to help!
Good professor. Pay attention, take notes, and participate in class. Think logically, not with your feelings. He is forgiving with grading, but it's still a difficult class. Be ready for essays. If you read the book, study, AND pay attention, you will be OK!
prof mobley isnt bad. he talks a lot, make sure you take ur notes and pay attention. there are quizzes, a midterm, and a final. you can use ur book or notes for quizzes only. mobley can be funny, and can cuss a ton. although he is very educated and interesting. if i could i would take him again.
I really like this professor. He was pretty nice and really funny and I liked him a lot. Although, the course itself was just not it for me and the professor is a tough grader so it's not easy to pass. I just ended up dropping out because I wasnt getting a good grade and it wasnt it for me. But if you're into this subject, then i suggest this prof!
Very difficult class be ready especially essays
Be wary of this man, I had to drop him because he intentionally graded my essays badly because I had a different opinion than he did. Mind you, this is after the papers were looked at by tutors and the writing team. Horrid.
In class he is a good teacher and knows what he is talking about. The problem is his grading. Never got a grade higher than a D on an essay even when I had it reviewed by tutors AND another philosophy teacher. Never gave feedback and if he did it wasn't helpful. In my other classes I would get A's on the essays so he was the problem not my work.
THE MOST AMAZING professor I have ever had! Awesome super informative lectures. Must pay attention and take good notes to pass. Do not take this class if you are expecting an easy one but take it because you are sincerely interested in government or just being overloaded on very interesting information. His being handsome is just a plus.
MDC has very good professors, Mobley is in that list and has zero chance of falling out of it. Knowledge: 100/10. Lectures 100/10. This guy is funny and makes the class GOOD. You have every single tool available to get an A. You can lay back and get an easy B. If you get anything under a C blame yourself. Take it in a heartbeat!!
The only good thing about Mobley was his grading. Even if you got a 50 it's still a C, that being said, he is a tough grader and most of the topics are hard to understand. His lecture style is more of a conversation versus teaching. If philosophy is already a tough subject, this class is not for you, it's more of a review than a teaching.
Professor Mobley was an amazing professor. His lectures where very informative and I actually learned that Iam a social dualist. The class was hard, but he was there when I needed his help if I didn't understand.
Class is not a walk in the park so make sure you take notes as it will be very useful later on. He allows you to use your notes on quizzes and the final exam. Great professor overall, he is very knowledgeable about the subject and I learned a lot of interesting things during lectures that I did not know of before.
Professor Mobley is more than fair with grading: a 50 is a C, drops lowest grade, allows handwritten notes on test, grades assignments early allowing resubmissions till due date, clear on what needs to be known for the test. I would 100% take this class again. You will not pass this class if you don't attend, his lectures are the key. TAKE NOTES!
Some low rated reviews that you read about this professor are mostly due to their lack of trying within in the class. I had this professor for both PHI 2604 and POS 2041 , both are challenging. However, if you attend every class and take notes, it quite literally impossible to get anything lower than a C.
I learned a lot in his class and he talked about other unrelated things that were interesting to know. He knows the subject very well, however, I don't recommend taking his class if you're looking for an easy A. His lectures are heavy in material, so be sure to take notes every class because you can use them on exams.
he's ok, just a lot of talking.
I think he was okay at best. Very lecture heavy, but we can easily access his PowerPoint lectures through Canvas. He also swears a lot, so if you get bothered by that easily, avoid taking his professor lol. Quizzes every other week, but it's not hard. Also pretty knowledgeable about Government, seems like he can talk about it all day.
Genuinely hilarious professor! Lectures are fast paced, but he will slow down to your level. Very passionate while teaching, so if you're a type to get startled easy brace yourself for him to get deep into a lecture.
He is very passionate about teaching which comes off as agressive, he swears alot but he makes lectures rlly entertaining and you will learn alot more than phil. He is a fair but tough grader and makes it easy to pass, but hard to get an A. If you fail this class its cus u wanted to. Do not miss lectures, All exams are open written notes.
Professor Mobley's class is engaging but challenging. Take meticulous notes and use resources like the free textbook and unstuckstudy to excel. Exams require deep understanding, but the professor is helpful if you put in the effort.
I ain't even know how I passed tbh. This man super funny and swears a lot idc. Barely passed but hey, good class overall
He is an alright professor with the intention of helping you pass. He is lenient with grading and certain assignments. He does have a very loud voice and he does go off topic with lectures sometimes. I said attendance was mandatory because it would help you understand the criteria more but its not ABSOLUTELY mandatory, except exams.
Hard to pass with an A, however, even harder to fail his class. Professor Mobley is definitely the smartest professor I've had and he's very into his lectures. I love the way he teaches, but he himself even admits he doesn't like building relationships with students. Overall, great professor, but tough work.
Prof. Mobley is a funny guy who genuinely cares and is passionate about his subject. He tends to go on rambles often and "inside voice" does NOT apply to him. I got a headache from how loudly he spoke at times. His grading scale is lenient. Attendance isn't MANDATORY but if you want to learn, I would suggest going. An alright professor IMO.
He is loud most of the time but it didn't bother me at all. He is funny and tends to go off subject but also gives good advice. There were about 3 exams and 3 essays. Attendence is not mandatory. Honestly did not do good in the exams and essays but still managed to pass the class. His grading scale is different than other professors, you'll be fine.
Professor Mobley just doesn't work when it comes to teaching a course; Very often , his way of teaching combats those of a regular classroom, for example, he'll curse while explaining very important subjects and he's very VERY loud almost to the point where you want to leave. His grading scale is alright but he's very VERY strict on grading
He is very lenient with grading, the course only has 3 essays and 3 tests and for two of those tests we had chances to get an extra 15% or 10% with some easy assignments we got beforehand. It's important to take notes because the test are open note if you pay attention you will do well on all your tests. He also gives chances to make essays better
Really good professor, his quizzes were simple. Open note so you just need to take notes, no more. His lectures are entertaining and funny. You could actually learn something in his class. His way of speaking is hilarious so take him, will make passing this class worth.
I unfortunately failed the class which was literally the easiest class I've had all semester... But he genuinely is a great professor who has a lot of knowledge about what he teaches! But anyway his work is super easy, we do have a final and midterm exams, some quizzes, I would def take his class again, no complaints.
He is definitely knowledgeable in his work and can answer just about any question you might have. He's very resourceful, clear about his grading, feedback, and even mentions his office hours to students so they don't forget. Definitely tough exam grader, but he allows you to resubmit essay assignments as much as possible with clear feedback.
Great professor and amazing lectures! I was unsure about the material at first, but as the course progressed, I felt more confident. Gives good feedback and is easily accessible for questions or concerns. Missed a few classes, but everything he covered is within the textbook, so no way to fall behind. Put in effort, and it's an enjoyable class.
