He is an alright teacher. He doesn't lecture well though and he messes up a lot.
He really loves history and gives a great lecture. He will keep your attention. Make sure you take notes. One research paper. He is very helpful and will help you with paper. I stayed after class several times. Got an A on paper as well as class grade. If he sees you are showing interest and putting in effort, you will pass. Need to study for tests
BEST history teacher ever.Does great lectures, is straight forward on how to do well. Class is very easy if you try. AWESOME teacher and person.
He doesn't know his material very well and even presents misinformation in his lectures.Take lots of notes and elaborate on them yourself because he will test you on "reading between the lines" info which makes it hard to know what he really expects you to know for the test.Curses in his class and criticizes historical people, places and events.
If history isn't your thing, do NOT take him. He expects you to already know the history and feels his job is to teach you how to analyze it and compare it to today... would have been great class if he wasn't a jerk and i had memorized everything that's happened to our world...
He is a VERY hard teacher. I had to study for days for just one test. I would recommend to not sit in the back and to keep eye contact with him or else he will call on you for EVERYTHING. He's a jerk sometimes but just study hard and participate during class and you'll pass.
Morgan is wonderful. He does require you to actually LEARN something though. If that's not something you're capable of don't waste your time or that of those who are actually capable of intelligent thought. He's not that difficult, just come to class and write a decent paper at the end and you'll be fine. If you're struggling, he'll deff help you.
Aaron is an awesome teacher. If you're looking for an easy A.. or even an easy C, do not take him. He is not a teacher that will let you slack or lack interest in the class. Participation is key. If you're a shy person, you better leave that at the door. Tests are NEVER multiple choice and require you to know literally everything. Great prof.
GREAT PROFESSOR!!! BUT NOT EASY CLASS. This professor will make you work for your A. But is very energetic and fun, so it makes the lesson more interesting.
I found him energetic and passionate about his subject and enjoyed his lectures. You have to work for your A. Participation is the key to making an A. Not just once a class either but several times throughout the class. Quizzes are based on the book and tests are based on his lectures. Take a lot of notes when he lectures.
GREAT professor! Makes you earn your A and keeps history interesting. This is my second time taking a class with him. His presentation style makes the material easily understood and excitng.
Outstanding professor! Easily understood and although you must earn your grade, you will enjoy the class.
If you are a shy person don?t take his class. He likes to pick on people who he thinks are not paying attention, I had all A's on my quizzes but since I didn?t do much participation I didn?t get the grade I wanted in his class. Every test is a more like writing papers not MULITYPLE CHOICE. A waste of time! At times he can be very rude, I?m taking A
Amazing professor! You have to work in his class but what he asks you to do isn't hard. Easy to understand and keeps history interesting!
I have taken him for all the history classes I can except the one honors class I took. He is awesome. I have read some complaints but they all sound like the whimpish people I had to put up with while in his class. Great professor. Just take notes and enjoy his lectures they are relative and great!
Great professor, you can tell he is passionate about his subject. Also he is very good at getting you to think outside of the box.
He was rude, treated us like kids, but greated us like adults. I did not learn much from his class, you will learn more when he makes you do ID's. Also, he loves given study guide a day before the test. -Lame!! He does not give credit 4 being honest. He made us raised our hands to say something, and if we said something w/o raising our hands, he pr
Mediocre professor. He spent most of his time trying to impress the teenage girls in the back two rows. As others have noted, he is a little misinformed on some topics, and teaches academically questionable popular historical theories as if they are factual, and with an assertiveness that makes people who don't know any different believe him.
It is a VERY challenging class, but he makes you proud of your work. He really makes you think anilitically. He is very smart & knows what he is talking about. However it seemed that his whole course was slamming our founding fathers and what we have learned. His repeated use of vulgarities actually becomes distracting and downright gross.
Hard class. But he's a professor who really loves his job. His teaching style forces you to learn. And he encourages class participation. Not an easy grade. But a great instructor!
Mr.Morgan is one of the biggest jerks you will ever come across. He thinks he is some big shot professor who can talk down on you like your a kid. Do not take his class if you want to be treated like the college student you are. He shows no respect to the student, and will make you feel stupid if you dont know an answer to something he hasnt taught
do not take him!!! He is the worst teacher you can get. a jerk!!
Completly different teaching style, once you understand what he is trying to do it will be a lot eaiser. Get the ID's down and you'll pass the class.
I will be truthful...I've noticed girls under age of 21 have a keen interest in this prof....but have seen ZERO IMPROPER behavior from his camp.!!!!
I enjoyed his class! He made it very interesting and made me want to come back to class. The only thing that I didn't like was participation because that is a really big part of your grade and I din't participate as much as I should have. In the end that affected my grade. Also a tip: Read the book for the book quizzes. :)
Awesome Professor! Makes you think outside the box. Not a class that you take for an easy A but if you are in it to learn, he's the guy.
Great Teacher, you have to EARN your grade nothing is easy but nothing is over the top. All you have to do is participate and learn ID's and you will be fine.
AWESOME Professor. Highly recommend him. He is very informative and encourages class participation, debates and discussions. Really learned a lot by taking this class.
I've taken 3 different classes with him and he is not easy! This isn't a "filler" class. To balance that out, he knows his subject, loves teaching and puts students first, every time. He'll work with you to help you earn an A but you will have to earn it. Best prof. on campus!
Very good professor! His class is relatively difficult, but I learned a lot from this class. His class and tests are not just about facts, but they require much critical and analytical thinking. He prepares you for the real world by requiring team-work and presenting skills. You'll benefit A LOT from this class. I highly recommend taking his class!
This professor can be difficult but as long as you do the extra credit and PARTICIPATE, you will do great! All I can say is that the extra credit and participation helped me out a lot! It practically brought be up two letter grades! But overall, he is a really fun professor and I enjoyed his class!
Good quality teacher and person, who makes you think analytically about the course material.
He makes it EXTREMELY clear what he expects out of you. If you do the bare minimum you'll easily pass with a C. If you take part in discussions and add some effort you will pass with an A. Also, take ANY chance you get for extra credit because it kept me at an A with mediocre test score.
Think:TQ!!
It's a critical thinking/ analyzing type of class. Not super easy but not super hard. You do have to keep up in his class but he's easy to listen to. (Easy on the eyes too) ;) PARTICIPATION IS A MUST! Ask questions, he's happy to help. =)
I could not pay attention to what he was saying. It was like he would put a power point up and want you to know all of the information after he left it up for a second. He just has a weird way of teaching "terrible question" that I just didn't like.
This guy really knows his stuff. From the Egyptians to the Greeks, hes got it covered. The class is moderate and the notes are heavy. You MUST participate, if you don't he'll assume your the antisocial type who needs more participating. So do it once or twice and be done with it.
I don't wanna bash Morgan, but this class was a constant headache! If you take this class, you will be in his office asking for help everyday along with 20 other students doing the same. He's very "off the wall" & unorganized. Humanities should be fun to learn. He makes it so much harder than it has to be. I advise anyone NOT to take this class
He is a great professor but his class is not just a blow off class. Make sure you attend all classes, participate in class and start your final project really soon. He is very helpful if you ask for it but he won't give you the answer. All he really wants is to see you improve in his class. Defiantly one of the best classes that I have ever taken.
majority of the time he made the subject that presented interesting an tried to get everyone to participate but plain an simple he makes everything hard and doesn't give no slack and you will fail if you don't stay in his office asking questions right along with 20 other students.Overall a GREAT person ''outside''the classroom bt a headache inside
His class was hard, but I learned a lot, not only about humanities but public speaking, writing, how to study, and life. I really loved his class and would take another course with him any day. I recommend you take a class with Morgan, but be prepared to work your butt off.
A superb professor with a energetic burst of interest in his work. Yes, the student must earn their grade, but isn't that the point?Regardless of one's interest in the subject, with a little bit of hard work and an adult attitude, this class is worth every second. For those who complain about his "rudeness", remember, disrespect is a two way street.
The professor is unorganized. He skips around his power point and next class asks where he left off. I do not recommend taking him. He is very knowledgeable about history, but not about teaching. He also talks about stresses critical thinking, but requires you to think exactly like he does to pass.
I hated this professor when I first started this class. Morgan if you are reading this I can defend it with a thesis. :) One day I read an assignment wrong and stayed after to discuss it with him. We discussed my grade and he gave me an extra credit assignment. I went from disliking to highly recommending him.
Morgan is not easy. But he is clear about what he expects and he will not remind you a second time about assignments coming up. Read the instructions and take responsibility and you'll do fine!
He's tough but he'll tell you what he expects. He's particular in what he's looking for but if you can follow that then you should be okay. It's a lot of information to process but I think that's because I took this class in the summer. He's willing to work with you if you go to him for help. Work your butt off and study. Nice guy.
He over analyzes EVERYTHING! He's all about Critical Thinking!
Morgan is all about Critical thinking and over-analyzing everything. He tends to be one of those "read in between the lines" kind of guys and you have to sometimes really pay attention in order to understand his lectures, however, he knows how to make the class fun, and have everyone involved in some way, shape, or form. Not your average professor.
Awesome teacher. Makes everything into some kind of competition. PARTICIPATION and NOTES are the way to pass his class. Remember; Who, what, when, where, why, how, and historical significance. Those will save you on all tests..and location location location. If you attend participate, and pay attention you will love his class!
I hated this class-while I took him. After his class, however, I realized I'd learned far more than nearly any other class I'd taken. He is extremely unique and insightful. He presents a tough image, but is understanding so long as you TRY. Participate, and do assignments thoroughly. Extra credit and participation ARE important. GREAT PROFESSOR!
Morgan is terrible. He's a cool guy but he makes his class extremely hard. He gives trick questions on all of his test/quizzes. He also gives you no hints at all as to what will be on his tests. If you are looking for an easy - A humanities class DO NOT TAKE THIS ONE.
He is an awful professor. He is not clear with his directions. Very unorganized.
Best professor at PSC. He is verry hard--don't underestimate him. You have to study study study, take notes in class, make more notes at home, and study more. Also, almost every assignment is a group assignment and sometimes you'll be stuck with awful people. He's all about Critical thinking--he helps you learn things for YOURSELF.
This teacher definitely knows his stuff! However, he requires you to think outside the box and he talks in riddles expecting you to understand. There were a lot of group assign. which is hard when everyone works and has a life outside of school too. Tests are hard. NO STUDY GUIDES.I failed and took DEREK MENCHAN. He is wayyy better! (and funnier)
This "professor" has the least organized class I have ever seen no syllabus, notes for exams with poorly worded questions he writes himself and no real final and loads of groupwork that is way too unorganized and useless considering we take notes for a final we never even took. He decided to pile on 2 presentations per 8 groups in a month.
Show up, take notes, PARTICIPATE, ask a lot of questions. Read the syllabus from front to back. If you are looking for an "EASY A" this is not the class for you. Tests are long and difficult. Critical thinking is a must. Know how to write a thesis statement. He says a due date for an assignment, the next time you hear about it will be the due date.
Awesome teacher! Do the work and your grade will show. LOTS of notes! Follow instructions!
Morgan is a tough professor, I will say that right up front. Don't expect an easy A. Show up to class participate, just say something from last class or ask "why" in the middle of the lecture. (Participation is worth 500 points). Most people say they hate the class, but I really enjoyed it, Morgan makes to fun/funny to think, just don't over do it.
Horrible professor expects you to speak and think like him. He's full of himself and basically treats you as if you are beneath him and he is pure awesomeness. very hard to get a decent grade in his class, his grading is impossible. Would not recommend taking this professor ever!
Prof Morgan is the worst professor ever! This was my second attempt taking this class in hopes of getting something higher than a D. He makes you ask for participation points and if you didnt ask enough questions he gives you a 0. HORRIBLE! I will never take him again. He's cocky, rude and expects you to think exactly like him and learn at fast.
worst professor. don't take his class you will regret it. wastes time, notes are crap. breathe stinks. sweats a lot.
Great professor! It takes a lot of work and dedication, but it's an incredible payoff. It's a very difficult class and you really have to work to get the grade. But, it's the class you'll really get the most out of during your time at the school.
I took Morgan for HUM 2020 and 2250. His class wasn't easy; however, all you need to do is ask for help and he'll gladly give it to you. His class forces you to think critically because he knows that this will better prepare you for the future. I would recommend his class to anyone who's wiling to put in effort and desires to grow as a person.
I have always been a 4.0 student throughout high school and the first two years of college. Then Prof Morgan. This was the hardest I EVER worked for a B+. Great person but horrible grading scale....I would've had a 96 for the course, but I was penalized for group projects where the other members didn't know the material when presenting.
DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS! He expects everyone to read between the lines to get your notes. He believes GPA is not important. He is very unprofessional and curses alot. He is hard to understand. It seems he is above everyone. WORST PROFESSOR EVER
he makes everything seem harder then what it really is! He belittle his students and curses at anyone who he feels intimidated by! BEST advice is stay far away from him unless you want to work EXTRA hard for probably a B because he rarely gives A's! Take prof. Menchan instead, He is GREAT! easy A!
Morgan is great guy and will make you laugh but his grading is very unlike any other professor I''ve had. It''s hard to earn an A even a B but it''s interesting. The terrible questions and who what when where questions are difficult and he expects you to know these for the exams. The project we did was fun but you have to put in the effort.
One of the hardest classes I've ever taken but professor Morgan knows what he's talking about and will make you understand it all. He loves group projects so find a good group of hard workers. He can have a bit of a colorful vocabulary but I've never had a teacher care about his students like he does.
His lectures are thought evoking and enticing but his methods leave much to be desired. His assignments are less that clear. The tests are not always on material that was covered and the online component is obnoxious.
First Off I would like to say that as a person professor Morgan is a great person and has a lot of knowledge and know's what he is talking about. The way he teaches is even unique, he uses a socratic method of teaching. Basically he will never give you the answer he will always make you work for it. He is a tough grader, and be prepared to read!
Professor Morgan is a very tough teacher when it comes to the work, but his lectures are completely in depth & he puts the powerpoints up online so you could follow along if needed. I recommend if you do have the class, stick with it. I have never been more interested & i have never learned more in my life. Hes a cool dude & hes hilarious. Recomend
He has a great teaching technique. He will make you dig for the answers. You better love group projects!! His final is a group project. I learned more in his class than I have in years.
Seemed like a cool guy in a way that we would probably chill outside of class, but I made A's in all my other classes, his, a D. Tests were SO hard & he never told us what we should study to prepare for the test. He claimed his way of teaching wasn't just getting us to regurgitate information, it totally was, just a different kind.
Professor Morgan is seriously one of the worst professors I have had!! Please don't take him! I have all A's and have never failed a class, but I failed his class.
I have a 4.3 GPA in the International Baccalaureate program, and Morgan graded my final group project as a C, which pulled my A to a B
He was so hung up on his particular brand of teaching (which in his opinion is superior to the standard. He'll tell you), that his class was more about TRYING to trip you up & trick you on the test. He claims, to "not just have us regurgitate info". Well, I wasn't planning on being a Humanities major. I just wanted to pass.
Horrible Professor!! DO NOT TAKE! As a first time college student, this was the most difficult class! He is obsessed with being right! He makes a big deal about everything! Says he gave clear instructions about group project but didn't and threatens to give zeros for everyone.
Class teaches real world skills. Better prepares lower level students for the rest of college. Take advantage of extra credit and OFFICE HOURS. The instructions are simple, but if you try to interpret them the way you want, you will suffer. Pick group partners wisely and approach projects like a business which can mean hard decisions.
Well, if you have any questions, he is more than willing to answer them without any begging on your part, but be careful when doing homework. He checks your answers and marks your paper if even one part of it is wrong. Show up to his class or risk losing information that could mean failing or passing his class.
I didn't like him at first, but overall a great teacher. He makes you think about the topic and will make you explain how you got the answer. Participation matters a lot in his class. If you don't get something he will explain until you do. If you do the IDs you will pass the test and you only get the information if you go to class. DON'T SKIP!
He doesn't extend any work for no reason, because he has to teach us a lesson in life. I didn't find him to be helpful when I asked question.
Professor Morgan has a "new way of teaching" as he calls it. He is from up north and thinks that he is above everyone because of how low Florida is ranked in education. His test are insanely difficult. Make sure you know the who, what, when, where, why, how, and historical significance of every subject he teaches or you will not pass. DO NOT TAKE!!
He does a lot of group based assignments , so don't take his class if you don't want to depend on everyone else in your group to carry their weight ... And it's college so the majority of the students won't ..
I took this class expecting it to be an easy A, however I was very wrong. This class really makes you work. He wants you to have a deep analysis of the artwork given. Not the hardest class, but not the easiest. You just have to work for it and ask for help. He isn't very good with online communication, but if you stop by his office he will help
Pain in the butt as professor but a great guy. You have to be an adult in his class. Don't expect him to GIVE you a good grade, you have to earn it!
Professor Morgan is hands down one of the BEST professors I have ever taken. I have seen students SWEAT in the tlcc and library complaining about this professors assignments&teaching style, but his methods actually help you learn the material, you just have to put in the time to truly study and LEARN
Took this class years ago. 1st day of class the professor told us the difficulty of his class, berated collegiate high school students &said the few in it should withdraw since we wouldn't be able to handle it. I quietly accepted the challenge. Not only was his class interesting, but enjoyable. The last day he shook my hand&commended me on my A+.
I learned alot from this class but Morgan isn't your typical teacher. He is very strict about critical thinking and you have to pay very close attention during class or you will be lost. Also you have to take the time to study outside of the class.
Professor Morgan has by-far been my favorite professor that I've had. He will not hand out an A without you putting in the effort. If you ask questions, you are more likely to succeed and he has no problem answering them. I highly recommend taking his class if you are looking for a deeper insight within the course. Loved his class!!
Good guy. Learn the formula. Know the ID information. Don't be lazy. You'll be fine.
He is okay I just hate the test packets and all the group projects that we have to do, but I would not recommend his class if you don't like spending long hours doing work for one class and working in groups with other people who can bring your grade down.
If you miss a class you probably will not do well, but he makes going to class worth it. He gives a lot of extra credit as well as a lot of group projects. He dresses very much like a dad. Overall I would recommend taking his class, he seemed to really care about each individual student.
Very rude and can be very intense during lectures. Puts students on the spot a lot. Participation is #1 in this class, you HAVE to speak up or you will fail. VERY tough grader when it comes to presentations, its all about professionalism. Wouldn't recommended this class to anyone.
This professor likes to curse a lot during his lectures. He gives back structural criticism for your projects.
his class was pointless and he makes no sense have of the time when you are taking his test. which you can find most of this on quizlet.
Came into this class thinking it would be an easy A. Not easy at all. Makes the class way more intense than it needs to be for a HUM2020 class. Very strict on grading. If you don't do everything specifically the way he wants it, then you only get partial credit. Get ready to work HOURS on group assignments. There's 3 or 4 of them.
Please for the love of everything, DONT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. I'm trying to spare you the hours you will spend on group projects and homework. His main focus is trying to get students to think critically and his course is based around it. Tries to change the way we've been taught our whole life and he wants our life to be focused around HIS class
Mr. Morgan is passionate about his lectures, once yelled at a student for getting up during one of them. Would not recommend.
First thing: this class is NOT and easy A. If you want an easy class go somewhere else. Professor Morgan has a personality that seems a bit harsh at first, but when you talk to him hes actually incredibly kind and wants you to succeed. Your grade is made up of group projects, participation, and exams, so be sure to do your work and youll be fine.
SOO many group projects and be ready to present! Very specific in his grading
Humanities should be easy, but if you want an easy A take a different professor. He gives an insane amount of quizzes and group projects, and the presentations are extremely specific. Most of the class did not know what they were doing. Very harsh grader and doesn't accept work if it's not done in his way. He expects you to read his mind
Online class had 0 lectures. Gives you 3 chapters to read and expects you to perform like a show pony without knowing what he wants. He is super excited about giving you a picture of "art", one being a screenshot of "Breaking Bad", and asking us to explain the Apollonian features. Grades strictly off emotion, AND WRITES IN ALL CAPS IN ALL COMM.
Very tough grader. Loves what he teaches, but expects you to see and understand how he does. Homework is easy once you get his system down, but expects you to automatically get it. I got all As in my other classes but no matter how hard I tried and studied still failed and prioritized his class the most. Looking for an easy A DO NOT take this one.
Professor Morgan is a great guy but hes a very tough professor. If you dont participate in class then youre probably going to fail. Also there is a lot of quizzes and sometimes its on stuff he hasnt even taught yet. Three or four group projects and four exams. Its a lot for a basic humanities class, if youre looking for an easy A dont take.
I took Morgan online and I struggled with his class so much. He is very unclear as to what you need to improve on. Does not give you a lot of feedback. Be ready to read a ton. Suuuuuper tough grader too. Good luck if you take his class, but take heed.
Prof. Morgan seems like a good guy, but not a good professor. He doesn't teach in a way for others to understand and will treat you like you're stupid if you ask a question for clarification. Overall, not a good experience.
Theres a lotta things you oughta know about Morgan that no one will tell you. His students prove the point he tries to make every year, which is 1)Dont bs anything 2)Show up for class, or youll miss a LOT 3)If you actually try, youll do fine 4)DONT. PROCRASTINATE. 5)Learn how to work with others 6)He ACTUALLY is trying to help you. Believe me.
Does not give clear information on assignments. Would not take this class if you expect easy.
Honestly, there's too much wrong with the class to fit in 350 characters. To start off with, he does not proofread half of his quizzes, so they end up riddled with spelling errors, grammatical errors, and can be hard to understand. He also contradicts information on quizzes and what he says in class. Feels like the class was setup in a single night
Hes one of the worst professors. DO NOT TAKE this class if you dont want loads of homework and you have a busy schedule. He has a lot of online errors for quizzes and tests and he contradicts information in class. He is not straightforward and I would never take this class again.
I enjoyed taking Morgan's class. He is not just an easy class but he worked with me when I had to miss. He tells you how to succeed in his class and if you listen and do all your work, it isn't that bad. I actually am surprised to see so many negative comments about him because he was pretty cool to me.
There are various group projects that he will require you to complete. His class can be overwhelming but I learned so much from taking him. I only recommend if you are willing to learn. He is not an easy A.
Moragan is one of those professors that you hear about in high school. A professor that is going to make you study hard and make you work for a C at best. Morgan is one of them, the IDS (Something that takes a month to learn) is useless. And his tests are so confusing to differentiate answers . Overall the quizzes and tests were puzzles to solve.
Bit of a jerk. Definitely wouldnt take this class again.
A good teacher but you need to get ready to do projects.
So I just completed my 16 week course with Morgan, and for the first time ever being in school, I can honestly say I was sad, I did not want this course to end. He truly made class so fun and interesting with his amazing charisma that draws you in. His confidence is contagious and he keeps the class totally engaged to what he is teaching.
I won't take this class again. He makes it so hard to understand and also makes you get confused. I wouldn't recommend this class to anyone
Enjoyed Morgans class. Participation is a must. Don't miss class. He is VERY clear on his expectations and will remind you as often as needed. He cares about students and subject and wants all student succeed. He is available for questions and guidance both in and out of class, take advantage. You get out what you put in.
He responds quickly and gives outlines for everything.
modules weren't organized. be ready to read, make a 3 paragraph discussion post, a few quizzes, and one big exam. this was a 10 week course. for the review he has a trivia with only 2 attempts and you must score higher than 70% to see the review but when you get the answers wrong its the pg # and its lock on the day he chose.
Discussion posts are 3 paragraph requirements and must contain "who, what, when, where, why, how, historical significance, and a thesis statement", and then respond to two people with minimum of a paragraph. Lot's of assignments and quizzes. Practice exams give you the exam answers (this was nice). Exams use honorlock.
The practice midterm and final are the same as the final and midterm. Discussion posts are essential, harsh grader. His teaching on this course isn't the best and isn't worth the easiness of the midterm and final. There are better professors that teach AMH1020. He isn't one of them.
Aaron is very critical when grading and nitpicks the most ridiculous things and takes large amounts of points off for them. He talks about having respect constantly but I don't think he really has any for his students.
At first i did bad on assignments he gave.learned how he likes them done, now I get near perfect scores on writing. The quizzes are timed and based on textbook and each chapter is 50-70 pages online. Lot of extracredit Midterm and final are the same questions as practice exams that he opens few days before the exams are due. 4 long discussion+essay
Says you do good on your work, but that it can improve then gives you a D.
