When I began, I was constantly feeling nervous because of the fact that I'd have to conduct and present speeches. That feeling swiftly vanished after a couple of weeks. Nice, fair professor with very clear grading guidelines and feedback.

Professor Rothkopf is a really nice, excellent and great teacher. He gives very good feedback on what to do better in your speeches for next time. He is a well respected professor and gives really good lectures. He gives you chances to do homework if you do not have time to do it. So i would recommend him!!!!!!

Professor Aaron Rothkopf is easily the best teacher I have had at BC and even at Cal State. I would love to take other courses by him. If I could have him teach all of my courses here till I graduate that would be amazing. Rothkopf is very helpful with all your speeches and willing to work with you if you need critique or virtually anything else.

After taking his class I feel a lot more comfortable speaking to an audience! Gives great advise to better your speech deliveries.

Glad I took Comm B1 with Professor Aaron Rothkpf. I hate speaking in public, however professor Rothkpf made this class fun and made it clear that we classmates were only to encourage eachother, because the only one giving negative feedback would be him. i would take this professor again without hesitation. I dread public speaking. I left this class till almost the end because of it. I don't think I could have done it with any other teacher. He works very hard with everyone who wants to pass to get them over their fears and get them through it. Do your workbook, come to class and give your speeches and you will be fine.

Professor Rothkopf is the best teacher I've had so far! He make this class very comfortable to give speeches in front of your fellow classmates. He gives great tips and feedback on your speeches. I liked the speech categories he chose for our class. By the end of the semester, the class felt like family. I highly recommend him for this class :)

Professor Rothkopf is a great Professor, he makes it easy to work your way up to get confidence to present your speech. I would take this class all over again! He's caring and gives good feedback on how to improve on presenting a speech.

Anyone who has issues with public speaking needs to make sure you take Aaron. He works very hard to help you feel comfortable. He works with you individually if you have fears and anxieties. Professor Rothkoph was my very first college professor and I couldnt have asked for anything better! He was so caring and willing to help every student out in anyway possible. Professor Rothkopf is a great professor. Public speaking can be difficult at times, but he created a very warm environment that made it easy to get through the PSA(public speaking anxiety) . I would recommend him to all of my friends/family. I dreaded taking this class, however it turned out to be very enjoyable in the end.

As the class progresses, it will become less intimidating. The professor will help ease your speaking anxiety, and will help you become more comfortable giving the assigned speeches.

I would recommend this professor to anyone interested in taking a speech class, he is hilarious and makes you feel very comfortable in class specially taking communication class, you don't feel pressure and is he makes a fun class.

Definitely recommend this professor for public speaking! Always gave feedback and really helps you become better at public speaking. We started with intro speeches and went on to more detailed speeches like cultural and persuasive. He is really well organized and clear with his expectations. You won't regret taking public speaking with him!

I personally am TERRIFIED!! of public speaking. I put this class off for 3 years for that reason. Professor Rothkopf made my experience super easy. His strategies on dealing with PSA really helped. I absolutely recommend him. I took his class during summer so there was a lot of workbook hw but very easy.

Professor Rothkopf is great professor! I was so afraid of this class and as soon as I walked into the class I knew it was going to be ok. He made the class fun and he gives you feeling ack after each presentation! Public speeching is very nerve racking but Rothkopf makes this class so fun. He make his students feel so comfortable in his class, which is so important. He gives you a lot of helpful tips, as well as all of the material you need to do great! I have improved so much with presenting in front of a large group of people and I have him to thank!!!

The anxiety of public speaking can be overwhelming for some, and I found myself to be one of those. Fortunately, Professor Rothkopf made this entire class/semester a GREAT and memorable experience. During this past fall 2018 semester I walked into this class not truly knowing what to expect. Quickly thereafter I was pleasantly surprised to see just how straight forward things were going to be. Most notably was the level Prof. Rothkopf's sense of insight, humor, and charisma. Highly recommend this course!

AMAZING!!!! I was afraid to speak in front of the class but after almost finishing this semester I can say taking this class with Prof. Rothkopf has improved myself in speaking in front of a big crowd. He gives great feedback, I highly recommend him!!! Wish he would teach other Comms classes.

This professor does a good job at giving you a chance to grow throughout the semester with you speeches. I think he understands well that this is the first time a lot of us are speaking in front of a group of people and he accommodates for that by grading pretty leniently as long as you are hitting most of the points he requires out of a speech.

He really cares about his students success! He is always there to help and makes the class enjoyable and fun. Professor Rothkopf is also very understanding of students who might be a little afraid to speak in front of others and he gives great advice and tips to help along the way. As long as you come to class and DO THE SPEECHES you will pass.

First of all, Ive never done a review on anything. But this professor is so good I had to. I used to hate speaking in public. I wouldnt even ask an employee at a store for help to find anything. With Professor Rothkopfs exercises, sense of humor, and advice he helped me get through my fear. I now find it easy.

I really like this professor! My son and I took this class together (my son is disabled) Mr. R made sure he accommodated for his needs and I really appreciated that. Aaron is great with the students and tries to make everyone feel at ease with public speaking. I would recommend this professor. :-)

Professor Rothkopf was amazing and too easy for communications B1! When I first walked into the room, of course I was anxious because of public speaking. We did a few speech exercises with our peers to help us overcome our fear of speaking in a room full of strangers. If you have to take communications take him! Speeches are easy as they can be! :)

Great professor and his story is really cool. Class was fun and we had great discussions. He gives great feedback. I took him during the summer and wasn't too hard. Just make sure you buy the book new because you need the workbook. The workload is decent. Just make sure you do your speeches and powerpoints along with the workbook and you're set.

There is no reason why you shouldn't get an A for COMM B8 if you're taking it with Professor Rothkoup. Participation is key. I did 2 group projects and 3 powerpoints (1 powerpoint was as a group and the other 2 were solo due to COVID-19). Assignments are super easy. I can't imagine students getting anything other than an A. Never used the book.

100% recommend him! If you have the chance take professor Rothkopf take him! You wont regret it! Dont bother taking anyone else! Hes an easy grader. Just do what he asks like reaching the time he asks for on the speeches and you get an A. I took him online for the summer on zoom and it was a chill class. Only 4 easy speeches. 10/10

bro take this class he is the easiest professor ever!! you just need to stand up there and talk for how many minutes is required and you get an A for that speech. even if you suck trust me lol. not a tough grader, i did buy the book but didnt need it, but i think it was the whole covid thing. he didnt collect the workbooks

Took this class over summer . Very flexible professor! I was really nervous to take this class but he made it so easy . Such a breeze and this is coming from someone who is normally very shy. He makes you feel comfortable and gives great feed back.

Show up and do your speeches, and you won't fail. A lot of students had trouble getting the textbook, so he didn't use it. He would tell us the topic for our speech and as long as you hit the time requirement, you get an A.

Truly enjoyed his class ! Today was the last day for spring semester and I can say I feel more confident in speaking. Class consisted of very easy speeches and workbook. Professor Rothkopf really is awesome! I was nervous for this class but he made it comfortable and fun. Took the online zoom 8 week class 2 days a week. We usually stayed on for less than a hour. You have to do 1 speech a week it was fun and EASY. If you don't make sure you email him before class starts and will let you make it up. take him!!!!

He has been by far the most laid back professor I have taken and gives you full credit if you just hit your time. Very easy and fun class, nervous at first but professor makes everyone feel comfortable and relaxed because he puts a very nice vibe for the whole class. Very much recommend.

I took this class this summer (2021) and I loved it! I was super nervous of course because it was a public speaking class, but he made the entire class feel comfortable. He managed to put us all at ease and we all did pretty great. I would definitely recommend him for sure!

Professor Rothkopf is a man is well versed in his field. He is both understanding and caring about his students. Very easy class if you are able to put in effort. He is not strict with the grading. He is very responsive with emails. He is also a very approachable professor if you need assistantance. Amazing Professor overall.

Okay, listen at the beginning of this course I was a very shy public speaker, but after talking this course with Professor Rothkopf I am no longer afraid to speak in front of crowds.
