He's an amazing professor, always ready and patient to explain in specific everything you ask for. He's very passionate.

Actually the best prof I took last semester. Very accommodating, and he explains things very well. There are a lot of assignments and they are tough though, and that's my only complain.

Personally, Im not very good at economics but Aaron is a very helpful and kind professor. Even online he tries to get his class to engage in the lectures and he always tries to help. I wouldnt take this class again, only because I dont like econ, but hes great!

Known for difficult tests, highly respected and an amazing lecturer. I appreciated that in the lectures he encouraged students to make objections to the theory and explained why some models are useful (although not always true 100%). Made economics very interesting.

I think Weisbrod is a great professor. He can be engaging, funny, and add a lot of interest to the course (even if you are taking it as an elective. A huge issue though was that he split the midterm both into two 30 min parts. This was so frustrating as that is nowhere near enough time to write everything down. Great Prof, horrible test allocator.

UTM really hit the nail in hiring him for ECO101. The course content itself is quite difficult and the tests can be challenging but he really makes it enjoyable and does try his best to make the course accessible to all students. He holds tons of office hours so make sure to use them if you're stuck on something.

Great Prof who gives lots of good examples during classes, lectures are a little boring but he makes it up. I think the best criticism I can give is that his hand writing is terrible, so pay close attention. The class overall is quite difficult especially if you haven't done economics in highschool.

Professor Aaron is a very nice person. His tests are REALLY fair. What you should look out for in his lectures are things that arent in the textbooks, because they will be in the tests. Oh and if you dont pay attention for a few seconds on his lecture, I guarantee that you will not be able to read his slides :D because of Aarons Magic

Amazing professor that do things fairly

Amazing prof overall. Occasionally got lost in his handwriting :) Tests are quite easy overall, but definitely time-constrained, so u need to understand the concepts inside out. And u'll need to keep tabs to all the deadlines for this course, especially quizzes, cause they only have a 5-hour window to work on.

He is one of the most amazing professors at UTM. During his lectures he explains every concept very patiently and his office hours are beneficial.

Very good lecturer and tutorial materials to help students understand the concept and calculations. Tests are fair and very doable if you listen to lectures and do practice exercises.

One of the best eco professors at UTM! There are a lot of assignments but they are really great practice for the midterm and exams. The tests are fair, MC can be a bit of a pain. If you need to take eco101/102 make sure you take it with Aaron, with a little bit of practice you'll have no issue passing the course

My favorite economics professor - very happy I will get him again in 2nd year. Any economics prof is good so don't worry (exceot Bailey, don't deal with Bailey anything but him), but Weisbrod is the best.

Aaron is hands down my favorite professor. He explains super straightforwardly and asks engaging questions during lectures. Once a week, he assigned podcasts to listen to and then comment on - which I liked a lot. Highly recommend attending lectures and taking DETAILED notes because he will ask for those details in exams.

He is the sole reason I am going to be taking Economics Major. He is the best prof in Economics and in UTM on the whole that I have had. If you don't take a class with him, your missing out.

Prof aaron is an execellent lecturer and gives great examples. His tests are fair as long as you attend tutorials! He truly is the best economics professor that makes eco very fun and enjoyable! I highlt recommend taking eco101/102 with him even if youre not an eco major! He even releases final exam marks

A very engaging professor. There is a lot of homework to keep track of so make sure you have a weekly schedule made to figure out when you want to get them done because they may pile on if not but they are fairly easy. His tests are extremely easy if you genuinely take the time to understand the material.

Professor Weisbrod is a very good prof who gives lots of examples and teaches you well without confusing you. He is one of the best profs that I've had for economics.

Professor Weisbrod is honestly a great professor, but you need to stay very focused during the lectures, as he moves very quickly. Tutorials are SO important, be sure to attend each one. His tests are fair. Workload is HEAVY, so be prepared to put in the effort. All in all, good prof. He does give lots of assingments, but it helps improve ur grade.

Problem sets are harder than the tutorials, go to office hours to clarify the questions. You can ask him to explain a concept he explained in class if you want. Also, just a heads-up, he gave everyone who missed the second midterm a zero because he suspected most of them weren't really 'sick'.

Aaron gives a lot of work to do. You must attend lectures, read the textbook, and attend tutorials to grasp all the content. Problem sets are very difficult so I suggest gathering a small group of friends to do them with. Aaron is a nice person and he's always happy to help in office hours.

ECO101 is a bit intense given that it's an intro course, but Prof. Weisbrod is, in my opinion, one of the best professors to get you used to what's expected in university. Despite the difficulty, an A is achievable given the right amount of effort since most of the grade comes from tests. Great prof who makes the concepts clear and understandable.

This course is definitely challenging. The workload is kinda heavy, so be prepared to put a lot of work into it. Tbh, I consider it more of a math-based course, so if you wanna ace it, be sure to practice a loooooot.

There was a lot of homework in the course, but it's very beneficial for studying. If you manage your time wisely, it is very doable. When exams come along, you would've already done constant practice beforehand with assignments. It may be annoying at first, but it's worth it. Aaron is very accessible outside of lectures (office hours are great).

Exams are pretty straightforward, not necessarily easy, there are few to none curveballs or surprises. Great professor

I took professor Aaron for both ECO101 and ECO102. It was a really enriching experience. The professor is very friendly and takes a broad of range of examples with some jokes sprinkled here and there to explain difficult concepts. I highly recommend him for these courses.

Best professor I've had at UTM, explains things clearly and well in class and unlike with some profs his tests and exam are a perfect reflection of what is taught. Make sure to attend class as it is imperative you copy down all graphs he draws. Don't bother reading the textbook, everything you need to know is in lecture and tutorial. Nice guy too.

Great Prof! Tests based on lectures. PRACTICE is key! Lecture examples, attend all tutorials, practice the problem sets. I was more excited to learn more econ because of him.

Love this guy. Had him in ECO101. ECO102, and ECO200. Explains everything very clearly, and you can tell that he likes what he teaches. Very open to questions. All the work he gives to do is useful when studying for exams. Very clear syllabus and content.

Aaron's lectures were genuinely interesting I never fell asleep even though the lectures were 2 hrs long. There are a lot of homework but I think that made me study more instead of cramming and there were more way to give yourself little grade boosts. tuts were helpful even if I didnt understand cuz I could look back on the notes while studying.

Good lecs, have to pay $110 for mylab, doesnt teach everything in lec so be sure to attend tuts. hws are not free, try your best for them

Wonderful lecturer, his ECO101 course gave a really good overview to the subject, he explained everything clearly although sometimes a little too fast. Brings an electric energy to his lectures and good humor, sometimes used personal anecdotes, loved this course

Very enthusiastic lecturer and quite friendly out of class as well. Lectures are fast and dense but manageable. Quite a bit of weekly homework but its very manageable (and very useful for understanding). Nothing unexpected for an intro to econ class.

He explains the concepts in a way that you can understand based on real-life situations. If you keep attending lectures and tutorials, you don't have to worry about spending too much time studying for midterms. Great prof, doesn't waste any time in lectures, and doesn't read off of lecture slides. Works efficiently in office hours.

Took 101 & 102 in summer. Summer courses tend to be fast-paced, so we had midterms in the morning and continued with lectures the same day. Midterms are the same material you worked on during tutorials & problem sets. He always offers extra office hours (more than any of my other courses) leading to tests. Very approachable.

Aaron is the best prof I have had during all of Uni so far. If you go to lectures, pay attention, go to tutorials, psets are easy. Midterms only cover 4 lectures each and are marked generously. Exam was fair. If you ever don't understand a concept, utilize office hours or email a TA. textbook not really used but available.

Professor Aaron is an outstanding instructor. He is very caring and has an engaging and effective teaching style. He explains concepts clearly, and I highly recommend attending his lectures and office hours.

You are chilling as long as you attending the lectures and tutorials, solving problem sets can be time consuming but rest mid terms and exams are pretty fair , and are directly from the tutorials snd problem sets .

I really liked how he added lots of additional office hours test weeks and exam season, he's a really nice guy and while there is a lot of homework, all of it was beneficial.

Be sure to attend lectures and tutorials!! Tutorials help with problem sets and midterms, and the things he talks about during lectures usually come up on the midterm as well so use those skeletal notes! I took eco101 in the summer and it did not feel fast paced at all.

Not sure why this great professor is getting bad reviews, but he's clear, concise, provides SKELETAL NOTES (how can you not get everything you need from lecture if he provides SKELETAL NOTES, this guy is awesome) answers questions well, and the tests are fair. Just focus on the problem sets - if you can do the problem sets, you can do the exams.

Lectures are engaging, they don't feel tedious, he's funny and explains things in an easy to understand manner. He also provides digital and printed copies of notes for us to fill in during lecture and have a good overview of what we talk about. Exams are fair and there's lots of material to practice with.

Awesome prof and person. Always looking out for students, providing extra office hours during exam season, going over exercises one by one and ensuring you understand. His exams are reasonable as long as you know what you are doing, you should ace them! The TAs he hires are 10/10 as well, which shows how his positivity radiates into students.

For somebody who's taking this as an elective, Aaron is a solid professor. His lectures are really good but can miss a few details, definitely can't get 4.0 by ONLY doing lectures.

the class averages were surprisingly low by far the nicest and most engaging prof at UTM midterms and exams weren't that hard used many examples in class the course material was explained very well by him go to tutorials or have someone send notes and take time to do them many office hours don't hesitate to go

PLEASE take this man over bailey at all costs, he does this crazy thing of explaining stuff, its WILD. he boils the class to easy to understand parts and the tests are very fair, the HW can be annoying but its not that hard, he explains stuff if you need extra help and doesn't make you feel like dumb for asking stuff. my first only and last 4.0

Prof Aaron does a very good job at going over all the material in a way that helps you understand. The tutorials and problem sets are the most important resources to succeed on your midterms and final exam. The prof is very encouraging and an overall nice guy. If you have the chance, take prof Aaron over prof Bailey 100% of the time.

Amazing prof, gives great lectures, do the mylabs and attend the tutorials! Had a lot of fun in this class (content was interesting).

Good lecturer, skeletal notes are really helpful. Problem sets are fun (especially in groups, love that we have that option). MyLabs are challenging but helpful. Tests should've been harder, but somehow the average was low. Prof's always looking out for us. You can tell he wanted us to do better.
