It was average i didnt know anything about algebra and i got a c after getting d,f's on the tests i got a b on the final so if you atleast try a little bit
she has a heavy accent. she's a decent teacher compared to her lousy huband who can't teach for ****. don't get mixed up between the two.
she starts off at a good pace and then goes really fast, plus all the homework she piles on top, you can't keep up. Not a good teacher for someone who is not great in math.
Let me start with the good news first: Easy to understand....BAD NEWS: She has a bit of an attitude
She is a good teacher, and she explains concepts well. Beware though she makes you memorize a lot of formulas that are needed to pass the tests. If you stink at memorizing things, DON'T take her class.
cant understand this lady.....too much hw
she is very nice.
She is very willing to help, very nice, sweet. 5 tests and a final. gives partial credit for showing work on tests even if you get the wrong answer.great teacher.
She is very good with explaining. Keeping up with her homework is the only thing that gets a bit hard, you can't miss a single class b/c you'll fall behind!
SHE'S GREAT-- SHE'S VERY NICE AND WANTS TO HELP YOU UNDERSTAND. SHE'S VERY PATIENT AND SHE'S GOOD AT HER JOB. SHE DOESN' MAKE YOU FEEL STUPID, SHE ENCOURAGES YOU TO DO YOUR BEST. I LEARNED ALOT FROM HER- JUST KEEP UP WITH HW AND MEMORIZE THE FORMULAS
Accent hard to hear, attitude hard to deal with. Don't take her during the summer, but I don't know if she gets any better during the other semester. She seemed more interested in failing everyone than helping them.

She explains things very well; I don't like math at all but she helped me understand it. I got an A in the class because of her clarity and because I did the homework. She will replace your lowest test grade and is really clear about what she expects. Highly recommended.
She's ok but she is really strict on attendence, and a little bit hard to understand (accent). But overall she is a good teacher.
Hard to understand. Has a strong Indian accent when she speaks. Wears lipsticks to make her look stylish. AVOID!
Accent takes getting used to, but she tells you exactly what needs to be done to pass the class. Summer is tough - attendance is important. A lot of homework.
A lot of homework, and a bad accent
She is one of the best math teachers i've ever had. She gives detailed notes that help you. She will answer every "?" you have about the work.
explains clearly!
She is a pretty good math teacher, at first (I had her for math 70 also) I thought she was ****y and I did not understand her cuz she had an accent, but she turned out to be very nice, and I got used to her accent. She is just strict on attendance and hom
A must take! :)
She explains a lot, most of the day is spent on answering questions from the previous hw assignment. She gives you hints on what to do to prepare for the tests. A word to the wise, LISTEN TO THESE HINTS!! Oh, and don't forget to do the review sheet two days b4 the test so u can ask her about it b4 the test. She's really sweet, just like my aunties.
heavy accent, tend to tune her out automatically because of that. she puts things on the test that isnt covered in the lesson and expects you to know it because its covered in the book's lesson and homework. she also assigns a lot of homework. it was hard for me to find time to do it all because of my job. dont take if you arent naturally good at i
Easily one of the best teachers I've ever had. VERY VERY VERY VERY THICK RUSSIAN ACCENT. But you'll get use to it. Always wears short pants, and wears garden gloves when she writes on the board (dont know why though). Other than She's amazing. Got an 'A' without even trying.
She is really nice. EVERY students question was answered at the begining of class about homework!!
She is an awsome teacher and was able to help us whenever we needed it. She was a lot of fun, but has a bit of ancent, but is not bad at all. I definately recommend her!
A very nice teacher!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don't take this class unless you are well versed in prealgebra. She goes very quickly and it's easy to get lost. She does give good hints about her tests though. Way too much homework and 5 tests with a Final killed me. Ended up dropping
Hard to understand, 55 homework assignsments total (10-12 per 1-2 week period), not helpful on certani things. To large a class for her to handle. Very strict on attendance. (3 days and you get marked lower)
Great teacher who is willing to spend extra time to help students and explains things simply and clearly (with a little accent). Math takes practice, so expect homework, but all math classes do that. Knows how to explain things and she's very nice too!
you can't understand what she is saying and she is very strict on attendence. she wouldnt let anyone in our class go to the bathroom.
she is a great teacher who explains the math problem very clearly. she goes step by step on problems. she has an accent, but you will get used to it. take her for math 70 and you will learn a lot that you didn't learn from pass school years.
Even though her class isn't easy, she helps you out a lot. She gives you extra notes and helps a lot during office hours. I would definetly recommend her.
She's Caring, Always Answers Questions and Tells You EXACTLY What'll be on the Exam; Also Allows Calculators and Cheat Sheet for Test.
A VERY nice lady. Yes, she has a thick Persian accent, but you'll get used to it. She always asks if anyone has questions and makes sure to answer every one. Make sure to take her notes- you'll need them for the homework! It might seem like a lot of work, but if you use your class time wisely it's not. Take her-- she's very helpful.
she tries but she is very unfair!!!
good instructor
great teacher ~ step by step instructions
Great teacher. She goes step by step in every example to make sure everyone gets the problem.
definently recommended, if you want to learn something, take her class. she is very willing to help students after class or before class.
She's a nice lady. Not too hard, but not that easy either. Good homework policy though.
Very nice lady, and she is very clear even with her accent. She will make sure you understand before moving on.
She is the best of the best. Very caring and helpful, if you make efforts. Math 70 is a hard class make sure you do your homework, read the textbook and the handouts that she gives you.
One of the best math teachers i've ever had. She is extremely helpful. Go to class and do your homework. She gives lots of handouts and really breaks down how to do each problem. Even uses different colors of chalk for each step during lecture
She's the best teacher I've had at El Camino College. The lectures are useful and easy to understand. Just do the homework and you're set with a good grade. Professor Seyedin is always willing to help, and that's what we need more of at El Camino. I took her during summer and passed with no problem.
This teacher is actually pretty good. I took the summer course, so it was faster and we covered the whole book in 8 weeks. Overall, she is a very good teacher. She teaches easier ways to foil and factor. She is always willing to help. Ask questions!
Man this teacher is rude and also doesnt teaches clearly.
Math 191 is no easy subject, but Prof. Seyedin tries her best to help out the students. If you persist and do the homework, review sheets, and show that you're working hard, she will take notice.
She can teach!! Always trys to help students. I had 3 other math teachers for other classes, but she is the BEST.
Best math professor ever.
This teaches is very nice!! The class is very intense, lots of homework, but she is always ready to help. Its an easy A if you do all your homework. I do recommend her class.
she is a great teacher.
She does not teach, she lectures. Maybe 5 times this whole semester has she actually gotten the class involved. I picked her because of the rating she has, but when I took the class I regretted it so much. I have never fallen asleep in any of my classes except hers. I strongly recommend math with a different teacher.
She is the best teacher ever. Math 70 is very intense, lots of homework, but she teaches very clear and follow many steps to make you understand. If you came to class and do your homework, its an easy A. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER CLASS :)
She is a good professor. Her class is easy. She gives good examples and study guides for the tests. She goes over the study guides and makes sure that she answers all of your questions. If you know how to do everything on the study guide, then you will do well on the tests. Make sure to do the homework too, its worth a lot! I recommend her.
Hmm. Seyedin is a pretty good teacher, but she does repeat a lot of what she says in the lecture(annoying). She is pretty helpful if you ask her for help and as far as the class go, for the most part it was boring. That's about the only thing I hate about her class. I fell asleep most of the time but ended up getting an A, but I guess it's just me.
A must Take... do the Hw and you will pass...and she replaces your lowest test with the final!!! and the final is multiple choice!
Ms. seyedin is very helpful she fives a total of seven tests including the final. the homework is worth alot very clear and she goes at a good pace i highly recommend her
There was about 6 or 7 tests and final, but she replaces your lowest score with the final. If you miss more than 5 days, she'll drop you and hw is mandatory since it is a math class. Take notes on everything she writes and study a lot and you'll get an A. Textbook is pretty expensive though.
She is my second Math professor in El Camino. She is very helpful at any times. Her class is easy A if you finish your homework with understanding. Nonetheless, if you are looking for explanation of concepts, choose another professor. Sometimes, when I ask her to explain the meaning of condition, she gets sucked.
She is an amazing teacher! Question? No problem! She wants all of her students to succeed! Do the homework because it helps and is worth points. She also hands out handwritten review sheets and special notes for the tests. She also has an awesome sense of style ;)
Easy A as long as you do the homework. IF you come across a problem on the homework just ASK her and she'll help you out!! IF you want to UNDERSTAND the concept of the class take the class with her!!!
Her lecture is very clear but sometimes boring. She often repeat a concept twice so we can understand better. Tests are very easy. An easy A
Just take her note and understand it, and receive an A in exam. Not getting A is simply lazy. Very helpful. I always go to her office hour and she teaches me more. She corrects exams very quickly. You can receive them on next day. Some say her final exams are traps, but they are my first time to get a perfect. Work hard and do good.
East test and homework. we have to do all the homework and you probablt get easy A. mandatory is not required.
Her lessons are made easy for students to follow and learn from. She's a proficient problem solver; only made one mistake in class throughout entire fall semester. Her tests are a bit challenging but she gives you a test review sheet that has similar problems on the test. Very kind and laid back professor.
This class was fairly easy. I missed a lot of days and still passed the class with a B. She is a great teacher and knows how to teach well. She is very helpful. 6 test, 2 finals, 6 homework assignments. She replace the lowest test score with final score. Gives you study guides and reviews. Best math class i've been in. No way you can fail, musttry
shes a great professor and a lovely person to learn from.
great professor. a little hard to understand her with her accent but she teaches very clear. tests are very straight forward straight from the Hw and review sheet she gives you.i only went to class to take tests but i had a good grade in her class so she didnt drop me.if you do your hw (due on test days) and study the night b4 test you will get a A
She is a mathematician like no other. Good teacher but she tends to go a bit fast. Make sure you are there everyday because if you are not you will fall behind.
Great teacher. I took her in summer and missed quite a few days but still got a "b" in the class. She explains everything and gives you a handout explaining what's going to be in the chapter. Math is hard for me but she made it really easy to understand, i didn't struggle at all. Take her if u can.
Not a bad professor, but definitely not one of the best. The course is pretty much a combo of past math courses with slight variations. However, she neglects to give the fine details of math problems, which in my opinion, are important in obtaining the correct answer. If you're looking for a hard way to go, she's the professor to take...
A professor who is honestly for the students. She speaks with a middle eastern accent, English is definitely not her first language. As an english speaking american, it wasn't a problem following along. She is definitely helpful during office hours. She takes class notes on paper that's projected onto a screen, you're free to take pictures.
Professor Seyedin is one of the most helpful teachers I have ever had. She genuinely cares about her students and wants you to succeed. The tests arent super easy, but YOU WILL LEARN from this teacher. Highly recommend, especially for engineering students (or any other student that needs good math skills down the road).
Her lessons are very clear. Do all the HW and test reviews and you are very likely to get an A in the class.
skip it and choose another teacher
We began with 41 students and ended up with only 6 students in the class most of the class sleep while she is explaining and the average grade for her tests was D If I solved the question correctly with another way she made it wrong as it should be solved like that in math 190 not in 180 as I graduated from British school that refers to Cambridge
Great professor, nothing to be worried about. I can assure you that if you pay attention, you will at least pass! Do not skip class though, it becomes a bit more challenging at the end of the course.
Class is hard she storms through lectures like if she is trying to fight a fire. She does not curve at all, Hw is worth almost little to no points compared to test almost 5% all points come from test and final is split into too worth 200 points yeahh.
Skip the class this teacher just read from the book with her accent she will make u fall asleep. She doesn't explain anything and the tests are not related to anything I dropped the class me and 85% of the class if u took with her you will hear a lot "this class is not good I give the other 180 class and they are way better most of them are A" skip
Professor Seyedin does everything step by step and answers any questions you have until you understand the concept. I took Math 80 with her and the subject matter wasn't too hard, but it did require a lot of work. She assigns homework, though this is mostly for your benefit. If you pay attention and keep up with the work and you'll get an A.
She's a very clear professor. She gives clear examples, answers your questions, VERY VERY NICE, and will help you if you ask for her help!! Cracks a few jokes. She will give you her notes if you ask for them first. MAKE SURE TO PAY ATTENTION AND STUDY. MAKE SURE YOU ARE UNDERSTANDING. Great class overall!
You must go to class everyday, take notes, do all homework and review packets to learn the material and do well on tests. She has a bit of an accent but is easy to understand. Her lectures are very helpful and it may seem like she asks for a lot but if you use proper time management to do all homework and study the class will be easy.
If you are ready to work this is the class to take. If you have to take more math classes after this, this is the class to take. If this is your last math class skip her and find a different math teacher. The reason is she teaches more material than required to prepare her students for further advanced courses. Lots of hw and tough test grader.
If you are ready to learn something and be prepared for transferring to any UC/Cal state, this is the class to take. The professor gives ample study materials, covers all the sections thoroughly. Exams are similar to the hw problems so if you do your hw, you'll be fine. Anyone who says otherwise is simply lazy & doesn't want to put in the work
I attended every class and did every homework assignment for this class. I have a high A and recommend her. The only negative thing about the class is she does have a tough accent that can sometimes be hard to understand . But beyond that she is dedicated to her job and a good Professor
Homework isn't hard, but it is a lot. However, her teaching strategies are not the best. The way she explains things can be somewhat hard to understand because of her heavy accent but also because she simply isn't good at helping you understand the concept. She is nice and she does drop your lowest score to help you. Also don't miss class or drop.
I don't know what the student below me is talking about.. I had this professor last semester for the same course and she was thorough, providing us with extra handouts and notes to prepare for our exams.. Also- she does not drop your lowest score, she replaces the lowest with the grade of your final (if its better) and adds 10% to it on top..
Thick accent & boring. I'm on my 5th semester at El Co & so far this is the only class i've dropped. I did all the homework but i didn't understand it so i did poor on tests and was forced to drop. I took Cohen the next semester and got a B! He helps you understand the concepts and his tests make sense. Don't take her unless math comes easy to you.
