hmm..very helpful and very nice. There is really no special way to study for this. The only method is to follow her study guide, read the topics on it, while take few notes in class, and you'll be all set. Good luck :)

i agree with everyone else that prof. delman is very very nice but her class isn't all that fun.. her lectures are clear and too the point but she doesn't make it interesting. she does throw in some jokes here and there but no one really laughs.

She is a little boring. Once she starts lecturing, she would go on and on and on. The tests are EZ, as long as you take notes, but it's hard to get an "A".

BORING. all of the other psych classes i've taken at PCC were a lot of fun. but this professor makes the subject incredibly uninteresting..

I love this chick! I got a D and a F on tow tests out of three and I got a C on the last one. But, i did the extra credit and the group project and i passed with a C. She even gives out a study guide and I was often absent. She's also enthusiastic when she teaches and gets you inot her teaching.

Her class is different than I'm used to: Study on your own, take an easy quiz, and THEN she teaches it, so you really have to study. A LOT of videos with a little bit of lecture from outside sources (newspapers and stuff) in between. The assignments were easy, but not worth a lot of points.

She's a good teacher, clear, who gives easy tests.

This class is very easy/interesting. Grades based on 3 tests (and she practically gives u the essay questions beforehand) and an extra credit project that is worth 8 points to ur TOTAL grade. Very interesting class. I'm surprised how people got D's and F's on the tests. Great class Great teacher!

if u have to take psych 1 or 24, this is the teacher to take. She only teaches the most imortant things u should know. If u do the work, you should have no problem getting an A or B in her class. She's also funny and entertaining.

This is actually a pretty fun class. You better like watching videos though, because there are a lot! The group project is worth a lot of points but pretty easy if you do the work. Quizes, midterm, and final were all straight-forward and easy if you study.

She is so enthusiastic about teaching. She gives you outlines for all lectures, makes the class interesting, I have had her for tow years she is my favorite teacher. psych 2 are ALL open book tests take her!!

If you have to take this class to transfer, take it with Abby Delman! Her style of teaching makes it easy to understand such a complex subject. Her tests are open note and even though that does not make it easier, if you use your book and notes, the A is yours! She is extremely helpful overall and goes above and beyond! Great teacher!

Professor Delman explains very well on the course material. She also offer up to 10 points extra credit for students. Exams are okay as long as you read the book and notes carefully. Overall this is really an interesting class!

Prof Delman is so AWESOME! She's the kind of teacher you'd want for a psych class. She's hilarious and throws in jokes or one liners and gets the class crackin' up. I had her 1x week at night, and you expect a night class to drag, but she makes it go by so fast b/c she lectures, then shows a video, makes you meet w/a group, then off you go.

Ms. Delman is so sweet. I loved every second of this class. She is so understanding, and very clear. Her homework and assignments are very reasonable. She's a good listner. Class is not very easy, but fairly easy if you pay close attention and participate. She's a good teacher to take. Just about everyone in my class loved her.

Abbey is a clear instuctor. She is really there to help you. She rarely gives homework.A problem I am having with her is WHAT items to study for her tests. She goes over the material but when the exam comes, she doesn't exactly tell you what to study. she says "Read your notes and use your book for backup" For some reason, it doesnt help me study..

She's awesome. She's very leniant or at least to the point where you can toss in a few words with friends and there is no homework. Her exams aren't the easiest but they're 20 questions and a short answer. She's very clear and you pretty much never have to read the book. Just make sure you take good notes and study and there's your A!

she is great! her tests are medium, you need to study, but her lectures are very good, she does overheads and also lectures on them, don't miss class or you miss a big chunk of material, but I highly reccomend her she is the reason why i chose to be a psych major. Very motivating and helpful.

Great teacher but tests are hard and she's somewhat unclear about what to know on the exam.. maybe she just wants you to read the whole book and memorize it and memorize her notes.. well if you do that, you'll get an A on her test, if not, you'll get an average grade in her test. VERY HELPFUL THOUGH

Her tests are extremely easy. I would give her a rating higher than 5 for easiness if I could. Just pay attention in class and review the notes. In addition, class goes by very quickly.

What can I say...I love Abby! She is so kind and very smart. She is really funny and down to earth. She is easy. All you have to do is memorize her notes and you will get an "A" for sure. If you don't pass, it is your own fault. I learned a lot from her. Take Abby!

Delman is probably the easiest and nicest professor anyone can have, doesn't matter what your major is. 80% of class was just watching videos and group work. She had a very positive presence about her, made you want to talk to her about all your problems, I mean she IS a psych prof. Kinda like the mom you've always wanted as a kid growing up.

I found that as long as I went to class and skimmed through the reading I got an A on the tests. She has 5 multiple choice questions (each has 1 short answer that she gives you ahead of time) and a project where you find newspaper articles (sumarize them and then say where the pysch book talks about them). I would highly recomend her.

Delman is very nice just make sure you study your notes and read the book!=] Her class was very interesting and shes very good at illustrating her lessons.

Abby is an effective teacher who shows interest in her students. She is fair-minded and practical in her approach to her subject matter. I learned a great deal in this class and would recommend her to any student.

really nice lady, always willing to help, test are multiple choice and 2 essays, the mutiple choice can be kind of hard so you'll have to study the vocab, also she gives hints what the 2 essays on the test are going to be about, she also gives extra credit that helps and does fun activities in class

The class is a little work. The tests are open book, but they are tricky so a little studying wouldn't hurt. DO NOT PLAGIARIZE, DO NOT BE LATE OR ABSENT... she's pretty strict on those. Other than that she is a nice teacher, and though the class is not a total easy A exactly, it's probably an easy B. MARK MY WORDS!!! :-)

I don't find her classes boring at all. The subject is actually very interesting. She's well prepared an willing to help and is not a hard grader. She's a very nice and pleasant person. I absolutely loved this class! Abby is great! Everything is hands-on and that makes it easier to learn. Although the textbook is very dry, it is open book, open notes for tests.

She's awesome, gave me a very well deserved A. She has weekly vocab quiz, but as long as you study it, you'll easily ace the class. Supplies timely study guides and goes over them. If you like writing, TAKE HER! Trust me, it'll be the easiest A since she has a huge semester long writing project that's worth almost your whole grade. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

She's amazing! Her tests are relatively easy but she works hard to make sure all the important points are covered. Yes, it's an easy A & you might get away with studying straight out of the book, but attending every class is worth it because you will definitely gain a deeper appreciation for Psychology & professors like Abby after taking this class

She was awesome for Psych 24. She doesn't ask for too much, and some of the work she gave was kinda fun to do. One group presentation and a lot of vocab, but a fun professor. Lectures are not boring.

Tests are quite simple. Grades are based on 5 tests, group project, newspaper reports, and even offers multiple extra credit. Very good teacher! Def Take her!

really nice & helpful. 3 exams (mult. choice and short answer), 1 APA research paper, 1 group research project + presentation (not to the entire class so dont worry), in-class points (so attendance is important!) the paper is broken down into 3 sections so you wont procrastinate and is based on the group research project. study, work, attend class.

She's a sweetheart. Gives 5 tests, many options of extra credit that adds up to 10 points, so you can do two 5 points or one 10 points, and may I add her extra credits are fun. Her notes are up on the overhead, but it's your responsibilty to study the terms because that's what is on the tests mostly. She hands out studyguides and is very funny.

Abby is a wonderful person, she is very clear on lectures but you really have to go to class and take notes and study for her tests. I remember trying really hard and although i deserved a B according to her grading system (I calculated) she gave me an A because she saw that I really put effort into the class.

Abby is a cool teacher. A little quirky at times, but it is because she gets into her lectures. The class is fairly easy. I did not study at all and pulled of an easy b. The write ups she has you do are impossible to get a perfect score on. I would def recomend her.

An absolute darling at PCC. Very understanding & nice professor. She will go out of her way to help all her students, as long as you ask for the help. Note-based course. Reading the textbook REALLY helps. Will take her AGAIN! She's a socialist and believes in helping everyone she possibly could. Sweet and wonderful professor. Very fair grader.

EASY EASY EASY !!!! 5 tests, 1 group presentation, 3 write-ups. Almost half the class got an A. I only studied for 2 of the tests cuz i changed to NC n was taking some other class, and not focusing on this class during summer. Pulled out a passing grade with very lil effort. If u study a lil bit, defnitely an A . If u dunt study , still a B !!

Professor Delman is a wonderful and helpful professor. She is alway willing to help her students out. Take her class if you are motivated to do well and get a good grade. The research project was the best!! Holler.

Professor is excellent at teaching. 3 assignments that leads to 1 group presentation. Up to 10 extra credit points. Five easy Tests straight from her power point lecture(multiple choice). You do need the text to do the assignment but thats about it. Took this as a GE and I got an A without stressing. Above all you will learn a lot from her class.

Professor Delman is one of the finest teacher's at PCC. The class is well structured and caters to the student's success. She's very kind and approachable. Her candid personality made all the lectures fun. She drops the lowest exam, and each exam has only 25 multiple choice questions. Show up, do the work, and you'll definitely pass this class.

Best teacher ever

That last student must have failed the course AND have their own mental illness issues. I question their rationality and ability to proceed in college. They should get a menial minimum wage job and leave college to the intelligent people. This professor is wonderful. She is a great lecturer, sweet, and easy to get along with. Great Professor!

Professor Abby is a great professor. Be prepared to study a lot; she gives out 7 exams with 25 questions on it. She does not give out study guides; your packets are your study guides. She's clear on what she wants. She's a tough professor but if you love psych and biology, this class should be no probs. She also has the slideshow up.

To study for the tests go over and over and over the slideshows. Make sure you understand the concept, and remember the slideshow word for word. Reading the book helps you understand the material more, few q's will be from the book. The majority of the test q's will be extracted from the slideshow. Study a hefty amount. Easy class w effort.

I'm not crazy about professors who use power points and just read them as they go. I like a professor who can lecture on the fly. She has a great attitude and is clear in what she expects. She wants you to do well, so follow directions, show up, read, study the lectures and you should get an A.

Overall good teacher. Teaches off powerpoints and asks that you read over and study at home the material to get a better understanding. You have to study a lot because her exams are mostly the biggest things you get graded on ( aside from the articles). Does offer extra credit opportunities, you can get an A but it will take plenty of effort.

I highly recommend Delman especially if you are a psych major. She is a total sweetheart and her tests are fairly simple if you study hard. She assigns one group project at the end of the semester.

Professor Delman is just as advertised an absolute sweetheart!! Very empathetic with students and gives really good feedback. She also really prepares you for her exams. I can totally see other teachers making this class really tough but Delman makes it as easy as possible. You definitely have to study for tests but she goes over exam material.

Six tests on mostly two chapters. Our packet is the study guides, so during lecture we are doing the study guides. If your aren't a psych major, honestly just memorize the ppts I did that for the last 3 tests and got 24, 24, 25 all out of 25. Drops lowest test score. Tests aren't cumulative. If its clear you're getting an A, you don't take 6th test

She is charismatic and funny. Passionate about the subject. Enjoyable class.

Her class is pretty easy. Vocabulary quiz every week study and you'll do great in the quizzes. Exams are based on vocabs and lecture. Attendance is mandatory. She gives 2 extra credit opportunities. Not a lot of homework. Don't have to buy the book its online for free.

What a great motivational teacher. She has a great personality and builds awesome friendships with her classmates, but she is a bit picky when it comes to grading. You need the textbook so that you memorize the "end of module quiz" of each chapter.

Her lectures are 99% powerpoint. Her definition of plagiarism is different than that of any professor I've known and your grade can suffer for it. She definitely knows her stuff but she is not one to fool around during class. Prof. Delman rarely does anything outside of lecture but nonetheless teaches what is necessary & what exactly is on the test

Professor Delman herself is a very nice, understanding, and funny professor! But the way she teaches the class for me, wasn't helpful. 100% of her lectures are powerpoint, and taking notes. She doesn't really know the answer to every question you ask, and class is not as engaging and interactive as you would think. Also one group presentation.

I thought Professor Delman was great. She's funny and structured. You know what she's going to cover and you know what is on the exams. I really liked the biopsychology in movie assignment, I thought it was unique and it got me thinking. I would take her again!

I took professor Delman's 6 week summer course at 7:30 in the morning. For this being a quick-paced and early morning class, she makes the class really easy to follow and makes the material enjoyable. We had a quiz every thursday and she dropped the lowest score,. No midterm or final and she posts all her slides online. Highly recommend her!

Because of her class, I decided to change my major to cognitive Science. Overall, the tests and readings were very straightforward; athough some of the questions can be tricky, reading the book AND slides will help you do well. Drops one lowest test, and 10 extra points are given. Make sure to attend her office hours if u struggle with the paper!

All homework is reviewed in class before it is turned in and she allows a "cheat sheet" for EVERY exam. She drops your lowest scores on quizzes and exams and gives extra credit. Go to class and take notes and it is a Very easy A. I loved her class!!!

Professor Delman is great and makes a tough subject (Biological Psych) accessible. She keeps me awake at 7am and gives points from lots of different areas (including a paper which is 1/4 of your grade).In my opinion the class would be boring and slow over a regular semester so take in Summer if you don't mind working hard! Quizzes every day.

Professor Delman is amazing! She really cares about her students and makes it so easy to pass, as long as you show up and do the work. There are vocabulary quizzes every week, but they come straight from the textbook. She gives optional assignments for extra credit. Delman's lectures are very thorough. Her tests are based off of the hw. Take her!

Prof Delman was awesome. Very easy class, you earn your grade. Vocal quizzes almost every class meet, but very simple. Lecture is based on powerpoint but I recommend paying attention more on what she says because it will be on the test. One major research paper, but you have almost all semester to complete it. She defiantly cares for her students.

She's a really caring and understanding professor. She drops the 4 lowest quiz grades and lowest test score. She gives you a clear syllabus of what you're doing each day and the whole point structure. She is a little boring, but will try to make it interesting so I appreciate that. There is a final paper.

Professor Delman has been one of my favorite professors at PCC. If you put in the work, attend class, and follow her syllabus YOU WILL PASS THIS CLASS. I guarantee the others that have posted on this thread with negative comments have put minimal effort into the class. She allows a cheat sheet on each exam, drops 1 exam grade & 4 quiz grades.

Professor Delman is truly one of the best professors at PCC. She has a lot of office hours, and is always happy to help. One biopsychology analysis paper, but if you follow the instructions and have her read it over you will do well. Do not skip class! If you have the chance to take this professor, go for it!

This professor is probably the best psychology teacher i have ever taken. She is very clear with the way she grades. Lots of quizzes but they are straightforward and easy. Test are extremely easy if you read the textbook. Great professor i would highly recommend her to anyone who is interested in psychology!

Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. Very knowledgeable, organized, and patient. She makes sure you get the information and doesn't mind when you have question. I would absolutely take her again if I could. One of my favorite classes last semester. Always keeps the class engaged.

Professor Delman really knows her stuff. If you don't do well on tests, make sure to do well on Vocab quizzes and it will save your grade. it's a simple 10 question fill in word to definition vocab quiz.

Delman is amazing. She cares a lot for her students, and really aims for them to pass. She's known for coddling them step by step, but really, it's for better, and you do learn a lot from her. One thing though, is that you need to study the textbook chapters on your own for the test, profusely. They can be tricky. Lets you have exam note sheets :)

Shes honestly an easy A. Dont take her if you want to learn. Homework is gone over before turning it in. 10 vocabulary quizzes where you easily match answers: study guide is word for word with the quiz. The tests are based off the powerpoint and you get a cheatsheet. You don't even need the book. Some people dont even show up to class and get As

Professor Abby is extremely nice and kindhearted. She cares a lot for her students and tries and is always accessible on her "student hours." There are about 13 quizzes (very easy if you study, takes the highest 10 quizzes, and are matching vocab) 5 exams ( moderate), research essay (she is very strict on it) & extra credit. Easy class with effort

One of the most caring professors hands down. She'll work with and around your schedule if needed. Annoying little vocal quizzes almost every session but are easy to pass. Exams come with one page of typed notes so it's hard to fail really. Easy extra credit opportunity. Really great person.

Abby was probably one of the best psych professors I've ever had. She is super funny and really encourages you to learn. The tests are open notes. The movie analysis is probably the most difficult part of the class, but she has office hours where you can ask her questions. She always has snacks and gives them out during heavy lecture days

Professor Delman is amazing. PSYCH 1 was understandable, fun, interesting. Easy A. Plenty of extra-credit opportunities. If you do the homework, study for exams even though cheat sheets can be used but N/A for quizzes, show up to class, and take notes, you will pass. Notes are posted so easy accessibility. Overall, a great person. Take her class!

Delman hands-down has to be one of my favorite professors. She is the sweetest and made PSYCH 02 easy! Study for vocab and use cheat sheets for her test and you will be fine.

She is the most sweetest teacher ever, the only reason why I failed was because i never showed up in the beginning , I wouldn't study for the quizzes and exam but she is very caring of her students, she's funny and very understanding, if you speak to her she will allow late work, over just a sweet heart!

She is one of the best Psychology professor I've ever taken. She is so sweet and caring. Cheat sheet is allowed for tests and exams. Quizzes help your grade a lot so be sure to study for quizzes!

Prof. Delman doesn't have a single mean bone in her body. She's the most compassionate and empathetic professor I've ever met, and she truly cares about her students. She has office hours 4x a week so she is very accessible and is always willing to look over your work before you turn it in so you get the highest possible score. I love her so much!

I only had Abby for a few weeks before PCC shut down. But she is one of the kindest professors! Her class is mostly lectures but they are really interesting and she makes it fun. I definitely wish I could've continued taking her class. You will need to buy the textbook, but you can get it online or an earlier edition. Easy A as long as you try.

Professor Delman really cares about her students and is passionate about her job. She has a great attitude and is always positive in class. She really encouraged me to learn and participate in class. Too bad the school had to shut down, but she is still very quick to answer any emails.

Took her for Spring when we switched to remote/online. She was very nice with grading. You have second chances to submit work for more credit. In-person we had vocab quizzes and chapter divided tests. Responds to emails and is very clear with grading structure. She posts EVERYTHING on Canvas. I recommend taking her if you need the class!
