Professor Aqeel is such a great professor. I took his Micro class and I learned a lot from him. If you're really into Micro, then this is the class for you. He goes into easy-to-understand details. He's hilarious and made the class interesting, but a tough grader. Just come to class, take notes, and you'll do just fine.

He's a great professor! He's extremely helpful and will do just about anything to make sure you succeed. If you are worried about taking microbiology for any reason then TAKE hem. You will do great!

Dr. Aqeel is an awesome teacher. His classes are hard, but if you follow his advise on studying you'll do fine. You must spend A LOT of time out of class preparing for his exams, but you'll leave knowing you've actually learned something.

This professor is the one of the most chill professor you will ever come across. His class will not(nor should it be) be easy. It will need you to read the book daily and your attendance. I am in nursing program now and am still using the book for my class. Definitely recommend him.

Dr. Aqueel is a great professor! The level of work is reasonable: He gives 6 quizzes, drop the lowest grade; 4 exams, drop the lowest grades. Fun lab every week. He's great at answering questions in class and via email. Grades are posted quickly so you always know where you stand in the class. I loved the subject and found the textbook interesting/

Easy class, no homework!

The syllabus is straight forward and really well organized. If you don't have a problem reading you should enjoy the them. Give him a chance, he's good.

There is a fair amount of reading, but the lab can be interesting. You will be asked to submit presentation assignment. It's not hard if you stay on top of it.

I really enjoyed the course this semester, it really give notice to critical thinking at the end of each chapter/test, don't worry they are extra credits. I would love to take a similar course with him.

It is somewhat hard, at least for me it was. Despite what I got in the class, it's my fault, not the professors. He taught everything properly, cared for his students and explained everything thoroughly. Put in work!

Lectures are three hours long but I was engaged the whole time. He really helped and took his time explaining each detail. Labs were always interesting and I enjoyed them.

I took his class last Fall. The lab was on campus. The lab was interesting and I learn a lot about viruses. He explains COVID in an easy way to understand.

The class seems to be a lot of busywork. There is an unknown project at the end of the Lab. Other than that, study the study guide and you will pass.

Gives hundreds on all Lab work as long as you hand it in including the 10 page one which combines to be a free 20 %. Plus he didnt take any points off from the presentations. Just study the study guide for tests and you will do great!

He is one of the most respected professors in the biology department. To get an A in this class, better study hard. Labs are amazing, you'll learn a lot of things, choose lab partners wisely because every procedure relies on teamwork. Exams are 100 multiple question format(few open-ended). A week before exam he gives the questions and answers.

Amazing labs. He knows his stuff and tries his best to have his students learn. He helped us in labs, very easy to reach out to when you need help with your lab activity. I definitely recommend him. Very considerate in the final presentation

He comes off as strict on the first day, but he warms up as the semester goes on. Long lectures, corny jokes, but he means well. Can pass with a B and higher easily. Gives extensions and has clear grading rules. Expect to get out of lab an hour early. His accent is very understandable. Def would take him again. Gives a study guide for each test

Professor Aqeel brings an engaging approach to BIO104. Labs are fun, and he's generous with extra credit. Staying on top of the material and using Unstuck ai for test prep made this class manageable.

I took Dr. Aqeel at MSU as my Lab instructor for Bio230. Lets just say he had an exceptional way of breaking down complex topics & connecting them to real-world applications, making the content easier to grasp &incredibly meaningful. He is tough but wants you to learn-hard to find professors like him. If you want to learn to understand, take him!

Great lab and great lecture

All the chapter exams and quizzes are online. I enjoy the lectures, while I could have done better, I'm happy with my grade.

The one time he was able to bring up SpongeBob in lecture lives rent free in my mind. He goes through the lecture fast but he's high energy. Very clear grading criteria and gives study guide for exams. Lab was fun and he can also has links to connect you with other academic opportunities which is invaluable at a CC.
