Easy & Fun. Don't take me wrong; he is really a good teacher and imparts lot more knowledge than other 'Hard' teachers. Always caring for the students without compromising the quality.

Wow! For the first time I learned something in a lab was from him; others are just time passers. very facetious & easy going (& sexy, too; but, doesn't F u citing some law that doesn't allow teachers to F students).

he taught us in spring'03. we found him very caring sensitive to students needs. he does his best to help you without compromising the quality. helds extra help sessions. makes sure you are well-prepared before the exam.

I am an exchange student and am impressed by all the teachers and TAs here. Esp. Ahmad is good in making difficult concepts understand using simple analogies --- BUT, he is not sexy as someone has wrote here (may be :(

I was in MOT@Distance from 2000-2003. I recall his comments, reinforcements, and critiques on our Human-Computer Interaction work back in Spring'2000. He has got a fabulous imagination and very creative mind.

I can testify that he is very very caring about students. I am a severe case of ADHD and he recognized it. He convinced me to consult Dr. Syed. Now, I get much needed extra time for finishing my exams. he has done many similar personal favours to others.

we miss him since he conducted the last tutorial class (others are just ok and we are told that we won't see him again in this term). he uses very simple examples to elaborate complex concepts. good use of humour in class. very prompt in giving detailed replies to e-mail queries

We miss him after his first lecture delivered to us. Other tutors are not as good. Enthusiastically roams around in the class while teaching, making anyone sleeping to wake up automatically :)

Best among half-dozen TA in this course. Tries to make sure you know what you are doing in the lab. Facetious personality makes us feel comfortable communicating with him. If you want to get best out of him then keep telling him your concerns.

He taught us how to connect theory to practice. Earlier, lectures were just for numerical problem solving and labs were implementing the CCT diagram given to us without knowing why various components are included in the CCT

Takes interest in his teaching and in his students. Puts real efforts in making course interesting to students. But, a history major student like me cannot be motivated much about operations and strategic management. Went extra mile to help my friend when myfriend faced a persoanl trauma.

I am taking his MIS course in Laurier. He taught me Engineering Economics in UW a couple of yrs ago. He is still the same enthusiastic guy who can make boring stuff look very interesting and lively. I wish he stayed in UW.

He is our dept's alumnus but so much involved in mentoring us that many of us nominated him for the Alumnus of the Year Award. We hope he will be formally recognized for his self-less efforts towards raising the profileof his alta mater

I joined the University of Waterloo in 2008 and Dr. Ahmad is supervising my PhD research. So far, I have found him very approachable and helpful person. He encourages me to think independently of him and come up with creative solutions. Very patient with my lakc of knowledge in the area.

I really like this professor. Even though she has an accent, you can still see the passion in how she teaches. If i could take her for every Criminal Justice course i would. One of the best teachers at CSUB !!!!!

I had a love-hate relationship with this prof for most of the semester. Still, it ended up on a positive note. He is inspirational but also demanding. Come prepared for the "flipped classroom" (readings at home and project/assignments in the classroom). Very knowledgeable and highly creative.

In every class, he used some recent high-profile event as an example to explain the course concepts. I am really amazed by the fact that the example almost always comes in response to someone's question. Which means he basically came up with that connection / example with then and there. How come?

Very easy going and entertaining style of teaching in a course that, I thought, would have been a boring CompSc type course. He spends the very last lecture to inculcate in our minds the limitations of all fantastic things we learned for 13 weeks and the value of our intuition and judgement in effectively using all concepts in real problems.
