Every class is a new speaker - We don't really don't talk much about what's in the book but the speakers are focused on the subjects in the chapters. He gives you study sheets with the exact questions that are on the test. Chapter tests due every period. Pretty easy if you read the chapters line by

This is one of the BEST classes that I've ever taken in my life. Professor Tawil is an excellent Professor. The guest speakers he invites to the class are awesome. Overall, you will learn what Management in its entirety is all about.

The last class touched me. He gave us a gold coin to call him up whenever we needed n e thing. He is Fabulous, Fun, and layed back. He is everything u need. Test are 30, 30, 30, participation is 10. Straight out of the book, no tricks or surprises. I recommend in a heart beat. Look for him in Biology in the Fall 06. He is beyond a prof. :)~

Most amazing professor let alone the most amazing and accomplished man i have ever met, i want him to be my life guie/mentor! His test was open book and straight out of it, i got 100. Class is so interesting that you actualyl feel BAD if you cannot attend.. Simply AMAZING!

I agree with the comment below! It's 3 exam (70 MC, 60 minutes) even though it's open book, the questions are really confusing.. Also his grading policy is quite harsh. he drops 1 letter grade every 2 points in a scale of 140.

I loved Prof Tawil! He is the epitome of what a professor should be like. The purpose of the class was to learn from people who are already well accomplished. The tests werent easy but they werent too bad either. The only thing I disliked was that nothing we did in class was on the test, therefore,you have to study it on your own! Take prof Tawil!!

Most inspirational teacher i have ever had! I actaully shed a few tears during the final closing speech. The classis not taught out of the book, he brings in guest speakers who actually work in the field. His tests are fair 70 multiple choice, open book. AMAZING professor.. want him to be my life guru!

Professor Tawil is one of the most amazing people you will ever encounter! His class will inspire you to take risks and go for your dreams. The speakers share their learning experiences and personal philosopies(great networking opportunites. I wish I could take this class every semester!

3 exams 70 questions each in 60 minutes. you have to learn all the information on your own, he does not teach at all. he has speakers come in and its good because these speakers know what they are talking about. buy the text book and read, because he does not teach as a normal professor. one of the best, even tho all the exams was hard.

OK. Let me put this into perspective for all the actual intellectuals out there. The guy comes in the first day and offers a job to anyone that needs one, and actually follows through. Then he spends his time to bring in pro speakers to teach the subjects so youre not bored by the avg textbook material. The tests are open book so you need halfbrain

Great experience! Would like to take anymore classes he teaches. 3 open book exams, straight from the book but you have to read b/f hand to know where to find answers, time is of the essence. Enjoyed the speakers, college should be about learning from life. I think it will prepare you better for the business world then just memorizing definitions.

Prof. Tawil is the greatest professor I ever met in Baruch as a junior. The exams are open book, 70 MCQs,3 exams. The professor invited Professional speaker in every class. He also post the job/internship for you guys. You can even ask him recommend you some jobs. He is a pretty understanding professor. Take him b4 he will retire again.

Dr. Tawil is the kindness, smartest, and intelligent human being you will ever meet. He is not only devoted to teaching, but makes the experience a wonderful ride! Despite the fact that he doesn't go over the material in the book and you have to read everything by yourself, he brings in great speakers. Prof. Tawil install in you powerful messages and thoughts that will reasonate in your mind for many yrs to come! One of the best Professors I have met! have to read the book for his exams but they're not difficult. he's a great person who cares about his students and genuinely wants us to learn more than just what is in the book. most of the speakers were excellent. i highly recommend him.

Tawil would NEVER tell you to drop! It's true, he is a good person to know in your network but I wouldn't say he is a bad professor. His ideas are ALL right because they relate to current events; relating management to the digital age. I would recommend him, never a dull moment with him. Take him and you wouldn't regret. Usage of book is HIGH.

I think he's one of the best professor's in Baruch. Yes he brings in a lot of guest speakers but his classes are conductive to real life. Also his test are not hard he gave us 90% of the questions on the exam one or two weeks in advance all you have to do is take the time to look up the answers. This class is an easy A in my opinion.

Wonderful professor. Whoever writes a bad comment obviously did not but sleep the whole semester. You do have to find speakers and conduct a radio interview with your speakers. It is a really enriching experience. Quizzes are done online. Professor Tawil brings a boring textbook to life!!!!!

It is going to be most memorable class throughout my years at Baruch. He invited amazing guest speakers. Where else you will get an opportunity to have an informal conversation with the top managers of the big companies. Every class was a lesson how to succeed in your life and career. Great inspiration! Don't buy the book, just get the access code for the class because you won't ever have to use it because all the tests are on Wiley, the project is more time consuming than anything else. It's an easy class if you just do the practice quizzes on Wiley then take the actual test.

Professor Tawil is amazing. He lets you handle the learning experience at your own pace and does not boggle you with tedious assignments. He prepares you for the real world but in a positive and easy way (you get 4 panelists in your group to speak in your class and take 12 super easy quizzes online(2 are dropped). Highly Recommended! Best teacher in baruch by far! The most influential class i have ever taken. He is more concerened about what we become in the real world then how we do in Baruch. Truly a pleasure to see a teacher dedicated to improving a student's abilities in reality. Easy A as long as you do what he says definitely take him will not regret

Best professors ever, not only does he JUST bring in guestspeakers, the whole of the exercise is to take advantage of all the guest speakers, get their contact information. You might get lucky and get an internship through them. Everything worth so little point, but every little point counts. For him so don't plan on slacking off in this class.

Amazing professor and person. This class really makes you reevaluate your life goals and values. Not your conventional class and requires lots of work and effort, but it makes it all worthwhile in the end. I agree that you have to expect for the unexpected. He leaves you wanting more, and wanting to do more with your life.

Such an eye-opening semester with this guy. The course-work seems like a lot but very fair and manageable. I looked back to what I learned from each lecture quite often than I would have ever imagined compared to any other class. Next semester is his last semester at Baruch before he retires so take him and you won't regret it.

Professor Tawil doesn't expect you to take his course if you aren't willing to work. He challenges you from the beginning with weekly quizzes and saturates you with information.
