Fully enjoyed this caring professor. He cares that you do well in the class. He makes himself available outside the class time. Plenty of real life example to understand the IT world.

If you wanted to do good in your grade take this professor he is the best and hard working and also give feedback how you can improve. Very respectful who understand student situation., If you are working student this professor understand you more than any one i have taken at NOVA. I am going to take another class with him and highly recommend .

This professor is amazing and he knows what he is speaking about the topics in the IT classes. He will hear and response to with great confidence and will and can sit with you if you do not understand the material, you just have to take the initiative to speak to him and make time to speak with professor Abid.

Love this guy. He literally asked "Are you happy?" everyday and I loved it. He (kind of) offers extra credit, but very rarely. He's very amazing and a nice man who cares about your grade as much as you do. I took ITE 115 and he was always asking how he could help and made the class a chill environment :)

Professor Mahmood is a good instructor, he gives his students plenty of time to turn in assignments and even some extra time at the end of class if a lecture were to end early to catch up on work. His style of lecture is more of letting students learn on their own, if they have questions, they can come to him, and he will provide you guidance.

I took Professor Mahmood for his ITE 152 course (not currently listed on RMP) Professor Mahmood uses an online textbook program where most of the work is done and most of the information can be studied from, the class teaches itself, but Professor Mahmood is always available for answering questions and teaching the material in an alternate way.

This class was so fun. Prof. has a way of making everyone engage with each other and it is a very chill environment. He is very understanding and trusting. If you bring up any stress with the assignments, he will help find a solution. Very hard to fail this class unless you don't show up. All around great Professor and course! Would 100% recommend.

Take Take Take Take Take Take, best ITN 100 teacher, I promise. I didn't know anything about LANs or WANs but he made it easy to understand. It was fun taking his class. I leaned and everything was easy. I took this class in person and sat in the front ( i never do that ) i was also scared but he was so chill.

If you have a chance to take his class, do it!! He is the best professor I have had so far. He is willing to help you and even gives you second chances to complete the missing assignments or even tests after the deadline. I took 2 classes and plan on taking 3rd one next semester.

He is a VERY laid-back teacher and really wants what's best for you... the student. You still have to put in the work because what you put in is what you get back. Aside from expected work, he rewards the class with a 5-star meal before the final.

I highly recommend this professor based on my personal experience with him. Throughout this course, I found the professor to be extremely understanding and reasonable. Furthermore, the professor's teaching style was very effective in engaging with students and promoting a positive learning environment for his student.

The Professor is really nice. He reminds people to get caught up with all the work. He helps with labs if u have trouble. No lockdowns. He is up to date with aws. Respectful of students, very easy grader, kind and flexible if you talk to him about issues affecting due dates. Not an IT "person" but wasn't an issue for this basic IT course. Also gives "surprise" extra credit if he sees you put effort in, which is appreciated. Would recommend for people who need the credit but aren't enthused about the subject

One of the BEST professors at NOVA, he makes the class very entertaining and is genuinely caring towards his students. Everything is done at home other than mid-term, a VERY fun group project, and the final. Easily recommend if you want to learn and also have a fun time with people in similar major as yours.

[AWS Cloud Computing Basics] Although a majority of the course is guided by pre-made labs and video lectures from Amazon, Professor Mahmood has done an excellent job at providing additional information, troubleshooting, and occasional jokes. He was kind enough to reach out and forgive plenty of my late work when I had an ongoing family emergency.

This professor does not use cengage - dead technology. He used current technologies that are for on demand jobs so you can be sure his lectures are not boring at all, if you want an IT job. I would take another class with him, attendance is mandatory cant get around it. DO all labs, and homework and participate in class. This professor really cares

Absolutely amazing professor! I loved this class and the material that was taught. 10/10 would recommend taking a class with this professor.

This professor is a very easy grader he can be tough sometimes if you don't get your work done on time, but other than that he takes it very easy as there is not final exam just a group presentation by the end of the class.

I extremely fortunate to be one of his students; I have never met someone as understanding and caring as Professor Abid, who treats me like family and whose teaching methods are so effective that every student fully understands all he teaches. I heartily advise new students to enroll in this course in order to improve their knowledge.

One of the best professors I've ever taken, he is an amazing teacher and very motivating!

Love him, hate the class, but it's not difficult and assignments are pretty self-explanatory. Some modules are "on your own" so make sure you pay attention to the due dates because it is easy to fall behind. I fell behind a little bit but he was very understanding and lenient! Utilize Cengage, it helps!!!

He's a really good teacher. This is last semester but if I had to take more courses I would take it with him. I loved how we got the chance to disassemble and assemble a computer, figure out what wrong with laptop and a printer. Over all it was a perfect class to end my journey with NOVA

Definitely the best professor I've had, made conversation with everyone in the class and mixed interesting stories in with his lectures. Not too much homework but enough. One of the most caring professors/teachers I've ever had.

I took this class with doubt in my mind; just after first attending, I was very pleased for the choice I did. The professor was nice, caring, respectful, and easy to talk to. For better flexibility, he didn't timed the assignments, which made it very easy to get them done. I love the class and am inspired to take more classes with this professor.

Don't take him for granted, he is understanding and you can learn so much from him. The assignments itself were good and explained well, if he needs to explain to you again he would. I have generally positive things to say about Professor Mahmood. He had very good lectures being able to simplify concepts, having a hands on activity for RAID. I must note one issue i had is that when we had the midterm which was open-book open-note I got feedback that I should've read the book more thoroughly

One of the best professors. He understands students. There are due dates whenever I submitted anything late he didn't take any points off. Very understanding. Very very very easy class you also understand what he teaches. Just have to participate and pay attention. Don't have to kill yourself or sacrifice life to pass this class. Easy going.

Alright to pass ITN 260 all you need to do is read the chapter. Take the quiz and the assignments with it. Every thing is very easy if you read. Exam is not easy or too hard. He gives practice exams and those are based on the real exam. The quiz doesn't help with the real exam unless he changes it in the future. Very caring, nice, understanding.

He worked with each student individually and gave extra time to complete assignments, even after the due date. He also scheduled meetings after class if you needed help. Excellent professor I really enjoyed his lectures

Take him if you have a chance. I had 1 midterm, 1 final exam, and a presentation project in his class. He would give lectures during class time. Weekly homework is finishing chapter quizzes and JBL labs, some modules also include with a case study which is really easy. For midterm and final exam, the questions are from the module quizzes

He is an excellent professor who truly pushes you to do your best. The labs are manageable and straightforward, and both the midterm and final were not too difficult. If you pay attention and participate, you'll do just fine. He is very kind and genuine, almost like a great mentor. I really enjoyed this class.

he's a good professor imo, he's very understanding and helpful. also taking his ITN 106 as well and I feel between both classes it's kind of a lot of work, about 4 assignments every week. imo his lecturing is okay, he just reads like half the slides and then explains through pictures that arent included in the slides but easy to understand

absolutely fantastic teacher from start to finish always cracking jokes during class and its hard to make computers and networks sound interesting and he does that very well but overall absolutely amazing teacher.

I don't usually write reviews, but Professor Mahmood is genuinely the best professor I've had at NOVA. He's kind, understanding, and truly wants students to succeed and do better than him. His explanations are easy to understand, his grading is lenient, and he accepts late work. There's a group presentation, but it's not bad. Highly recommend.

Professor Mahmood was an absolute joy to have as a professor. His lectures were not only helpful but he opened the floor for questions regardless of what they were about. When people say there are no stupid questions, Professor Mahmood ACTUALLY embodies that as an educator. Be respectful, do your assignments ON TIME, and you are sure to get an A.

He is one of the best professors I have had this semester. I took ITN 106 with him and also ITN 100 in the summer. His course is well organized, and his teaching style is clear and easy to follow. He understands students and makes learning enjoyable. His class is worth taking, and I am taking two more classes with him next semester.

He's really nice understanding and it's really chill he does give out a lot of work, which could get overwhelming at times, but as long as you do it, you'll pass and you also have unlimited try so you should be able to pass

I don't normally write reviews about professors, but Professor Mahmood is an absolute GEM of a professor. You will NEVER find another professor like him who genuinely cares about his students the way he does. I had several classes with him this semester and signed up for more next semester. Take him you wont regret it!!!
