I think prof. Ladha is a great person -- he seems considerate, nice during social hours, and overall a cool dude. Unfortunately while Ladha is a great person, he is a terrible teacher. I try my best to follow along with lectures, but Ladha jumps all over the place and doesn't explain what he's doing. The exams/homeworks have been tough but fair.

This class is very difficult. The professor almost recites the textbook in class, so if you don't understand it in class, that means you don't understand the textbook. There are no additional resources because the algorithms are taught in a specific manner with certain constraints such that outside examples have differences. Just horrible.

I am taking CS 3510 with Abrahim Ladha, and I think he's a great lecturer. He gives clear proofs and examples of the algorithms we go over in class. Abrahim is also very accessible after classes and is able to provide counterexamples and thought-provoking ideas on the fly.

Ladha is fine. Not great, but not the worst either. He's impossible to follow in lecture so you'll learn pretty much 95% of the content on your own. Homeworks are really tough but they prepare you very well for the exams (plus there's generous extra credit). While he isn't the best teacher, he is very in touch with students and a chill guy.

The prof is great overall. He makes a lot of mistakes in the lectures, but a ton of resources are provided for us to learn from. The people who hated the prof either never wanted to learn something themselves apart from the lectures or they wanted free grades. The TA team is pretty solid as well and does all they can do to support the students.

In industry, there is no autograder or project that you can flounder on for days on end until you get it right. There is time pressure, and if you aren't precise under pressure, you are axed. Having a majority of your grade come from test is totally reasonable, get used to it here before it's too late.

Horrendously terrible. He clearly writes his own RMP ratings (or has someone else write them for him - check the two from 12/2/2025). Terrible lecturer, lectures way too fast, writes awful exams that don't test content well. The homework is near impossible and should not constitute adequate assessment for an introductory class. TAs are evil. Avoid.

This class actively regressed my knowledge of discrete mathematics and math as a whole. If God wished to give his strongest warriors a challenge, he would send students to CS2050 Office Hours to face the awful TAs for this class. Such students would emerge Navy SEALs. Ladha is a terrible lecturer and teaches content that cater to few. Do not take.

Incredible lecturer and understands the course material extremely well. Posts all his lectures online and homeworks are pretty reasonable. Very exam heavy with 4 midterms and a final that replaces a midterm (if needed). Exams are difficult (basically 4-5 leetcode questions) but graded relatively leniantly.

Take if you are 100% sure that you will attend all lectures + solve all homework + all practice problems + spend a lot of time trying to combine your knowledge from the lectures with the extremely difficult practice problems, and expect even more "creative", harder questions to appear on your exam. You need to practice as if this is your only class

I think Ladha is a chill guy. However, it's pretty clear that the expectations of the course don't really align with the reality. I don't think the exams are fairly written and there should be, at the very least, an exam drop for this class (like other CS2050). The TAs need less power though; they practically run the course and not in a good way.

Tests are completely unrelated to homework, test review, and lectures and are worth 84% of your grade. Homework takes multiple hours and is extremely difficult. TA's are largely useless. It's sad since Ladha is a nice guy and a good lecturer.

Ladha himself is a good lecturer and a good person. It's his TA's that make the class a nightmare. Just because they went through hell in their semester they think it's their turn to give us hell back. HW's took 6+ hrs per week and exams had singular questions worth 5+% of your COURSE GRADE. Absolutely do not take this class under any circumstances

super passionate lecturer, great if you are genuinely curious about the class. not too hard either, if you go to lecture and actively participate. his textbook and lecture videos make it easy to make up class if you fall behind as well. overall very nice and understanding professor.

His lectures are actually somewhat interesting. But other than that this class stinks. The homework assignments would take me and my friends several hours each week, and are most of the time just overkill and don't prepare you for the test at all. The stuff he gives you to study for the exams are just stupidly hard compared to the exam.

If there was not a grade associated with this class, it would without a doubt be my favorite class I've ever taken. Ladha is a great lecturer, and the subject matter is extremely fascinating. The tests are just so. Damn. Hard. And difficult to prepare for. Sometimes studying can feel futile and impossible, but it's fun at the same time. Duality.

You can definitely learn a lot from Ladha's class. It's true that people can get lost in the lectures without prior knowledge of the content. He is highly accessible. The course is test-heavy, you'll find some exam questions very similar to practice exams or homework, while the rest are of medium difficulty problems in Leetcode.

This is a decently difficult class. He is decent at lecturing, although he moves EXTREMELY quick. Tests are extremely difficult and often nothing like the practice tests, and he tries to fear monger by saying that if you use AI for help, you're cooked - which I don't believe is true. I and anyone probably could have got an A if I tried hard enough.

worst class ever. don't even consider just take someone else. he clearly cannot take criticism either. either he or his tas write their own positive reviews and get negative ones taken down. you can tell the positive reviews are super short and lack nuance, unlike the negative reviews. i don't know how he still has a job at gt. avoid.

Tests are hard and the partial credit is unforgiving. Lectures are alright. If you're prepared to spend 6+ hours per week on the weekly homework, quiz, and staying locked, you can get a B or above. Just be prepared for a terrible time with TA's, the professor, and in general. Ladha should absolutely be your last choice.

ladha is a terrible teacher. his intelligence and mastery of discrete is heavily undercut by his arrogance. his grading is arbitrary at best. his exams are extremely long and difficult, with about ~85% of the class still writing when time called on every exam. homework takes more than 8 hours a week and doesn't prepare you for the exam at all.

Ladha was appointed by Allah (Subhanahu wa ta'ala) to serve and spread light unto the students of Georgia Tech. During every lecture, you will certainly feel a divine presence. O' Allah, lead the disbelievers to the truth and they will accept Ladha (PBUH) as their prophet.
