Professor Ali is a pedagogue deeply concerned with his students' knowledge of the material. My single biggest suggestion to Professor Ali in regards to this course would be to have the labs due before tests. I think this will greatly benefit students' comprehension of the material, as well as test performance. Fair grader as long as you work.

GREAT GUY!! Ali is an awesome teacher and goes over every bit of material. Labs take a lot of time to do, but gives you them weeks in advance. Tests are easy if you understand and do the labs yourself. Very helpful out of class, will answer questions and teach it different ways if asked. Best class ive taken at UTEP

Taking 3 classes with Dr. Ali and he is a very good professor. I took all his classes in Summer 2016 and as long as you do the discussions each week you'll be fine. His exams are online and aren't timed which you have plenty of time to come back to each question. You don't really need the book since you can look up the material online.

Ali is a new professor at UTEP. Ali gives extra credit assignments weekly. 20 points each assignment. Ali doesn't want students to get a B in his class. Ali wants all of his students to get A's. I got 100 on first two exams so far. Easiest professor overall.

If you take Fluid Mechanics, you will receive a lot of EC. I had 12 points added to my exams (which worthed 60% of your grade). His lectures were excellent in clarity and ask questions if you are confused. Class average is from 94-98%

If you take Engineering Analysis 1 with Abul, you will receive a lot of Extra Credits. His lectures were excellent in clarity and ask questions if you are confused. Class average is also around 93-96%

Dynamics is a tough course. However, Abul made it very easy. He give extra credit assignments so they're optional. Take Abul Ali for easy A. It's really hard to fail his class

Engineering Analysis 1 is the easiest class in all classes I took. Abul just did his job by teaching everything but his class was easy because Engineering Analysis 1 was easy. I dropped Vinod Kumar Engineering Analysis 1 class to take this Summer course with other professor. Abul gives everyone 20 points extra credits on every exam and quiz.

Amazing professor, makes you think. He does joke around with students a bit, but their is no malice behind it. Tests are all typed and he expects you to be detailed about your answers. Attendance IS MANDATORY! was late to class and he went over a lot. If you like power points this class IS for you, there are a lot. You need help? TALK to HIM!

Very good professor. Shafi gives at least 10 points extra credits on every exam for both Thermodynamics and Heat Transfer exams. Abul Ali is a real gem. I took him all 3 classes in the Summer Engineering Analysis 1, Dynamics and Fluid Mechanics. He gives 3 midterm exams and one final. He drops one of the lowest exam grade for all 3 classes. He offers 20 point extra credit for attending class. Easiest A class ever.

Passing Abul's class with an A is easy, failing or to get a B is almost impossible. Just pay attention come to class and do the extra credit assignments

His class is a guaranteed A class. I didn't even show up a single day and still got 100 on every exam. Take him. He always said attendance was mandatory but it actually isn't. Would definitely take him again for easiest A class and for extra credit assignment
