The professor is a real good teacher even though she is new to the teaching field. There isn't really class work that we have to do but we are recommended to participate. The class isn't that bad although she kind of is a little tough on grading it will all go good if you put effort into it.

Also we get journal assignments every week but they are very easy. The tests are open note. TAKE HER CLASS SHE'S THE BEST.

I took Professor in fall 2016 she was amazing. Lectures they were straight from the book. If you read the chapters yu will do fine. There were no surprises. You always knew exactly what was taking place in her class. Offers extra credit and will work with you to help you succeed. One APA paper was due at the end of semester

The only homework you really had was journal assignments every week and they really were not hard at all and a quiz after every chapter. She works with you she does give you lots of chances for extra credit , if you don't understand the chapter she always went over it in class. I thought she was a great teacher. I took her hybrid class.

Professor Monteverde is the most unique professor I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. She makes her lesson plan fun and interactive by bring up personal experiences she's had that can relate to the topic at hand. She took a typically boring subject and made it actually enjoyable for students to learn about.

Professor Monteverde was by far one of my favorite college professors. Grading is made up of In class attendance, Participation, Examinations, a Research paper, and the online homework. Attendance isn't mandatory but it will reflect on your grade. She also gives PLENTY of extra credit opportunities.

The professor does an excellent job explaining the lessons. An online interactive textbook is required for all the homework and exams, however, the book is extremely interesting. I took General Psychology online. Professor Monteverde is an amazing professor that takes her time to grade and gives helpful feedback. Class was not hard nor easy. Reading is important for the weekly quizzes. Uploads powerpoints for each chapters. Work hard and you'll pass.

Stay on top of connect and don't be afraid to email of something does not look right. Journals were based on topics that we had not read yet , some weeks it was necessary to read ahead to finish the journals properly. prof. answers emails quickly. I do wish towards the beginning grades were given back earlier so adjustments could be made if needed.

This Professor was amazing. She is very caring and gives you chances to help your grade if needed. However the class is pretty easy that you really shouldn't need to. There are a few assignments due every week, journal and quiz. I prefer the journals over having to write papers all semester. even though its online reading counts and is shown.

We had both online quizzes and quizzes written by her, most of which were take-home. The quizzes are rather in depth, so it is necessary to read the textbook. Also, the final was open-book.

Professor M. is one of the better online professors I've had. She's responsive to issues our class had and a quick grader. She knew what our needs were and also gave us a clear cut schedule that was easy to follow the entire semester. I was able to incorporate all of the work into my schedule because it was consistent, but also extensive.

Professor Monteverde's online Lifespan Growth & Development class was a breeze. There is lots of homework but it is not difficult. It is very easy to get an A if you actually do your work and submit on time. I thoroughly enjoyed the assignments/projects given. Professor M sticks to the syllabus so be sure to review it & print it to reflect back on.

Professor Monteverde is probably one of the best professors I've had so far. I took her class for the Winter-Mini semester. This class is easy as long as you stay committed. She gave clear instructions and very good feedback. Even though it was an online course, I could see that she really cares about her students. I would take her again !

I took this class for the wintermester online and I must say it was jam packed with work. You have 3 APA style papers to write each being around 7 pages long. I personally would not take her again. My friend took this same class with a different at prof at Lonestar during the wintermester and did not remotely have the same amount of work as I did.

I recently just took this class during the winter mini break, there is a lot of work to be done but prof. M is very organized each chapter and category is due a certain time so make sure you are doing daily homework and quizzes. She grades very quickly and fairly, another important aspect of prof. M her communication is great!

She is so helpful, she reply's to emails less than 3 hour. grade very quick for you to see your grade. She is really a good professor you can trust. I will take this class again if I have to, because she has a kind heart. I am taking a mini semester that will end on the 1/7/18.

I would recommend this professor to who like to share their experience or discussion. Also, you'll learn various of topic related to psychology. She's a nice and kind professor to willing to work with you if you have any problems.

She has 3 exams and a final online with CONNECT, a journal due every week, and quizzes every friday. She is very nice and understanding. She is sort of lecture heavy, but personally it was fine.

Weekly journals in D2L and assignments to do on CONNECT. Although there are many assignments, they are very easy and take about 20 minutes to complete. Overall she is a great professor, very lenient and understanding if you're unable to attend/miss class. Always in a great mood and cracking a few jokes here and there, easy A!

She uses the textbook to lecture during class. She uses a lot of John Green videos. All homework and tests were done online through an online module. She's friendly and has a lot of fun stories to tell. She also uses case studies to help us understand the material. She splits us up into groups for discussion and requires class participation.

This was a Summer class. I was pretty much done with all of my work by the third week of class. I used the 14 free day trial for my Connect assignments and did all 17 chapters during the 14 days. She used the 5 quizzes from Connect as exam grades. This class is almost too easy!!!! Sometimes the class was not interesting but she is a nice lady.

Is a great professor, her instructions are clear and through. All though you have to keep on top of your work. You have to make sure not to slack, almost all the work is on connect, and the rest is on a paper.

I took Psyc 2301 and it was a positive experience. Mrs. Monteverde provides lots of opportunity to achieve the grade desired. She counts off, in participation, for skipping class and showing up late. Everything is pretty much online, class is just for participation and guidance for the large final paper due at the end of the year.

This professor really helped me learn more about psychology and human behavior. Her lectures are interesting, and she includes the whole class by asking them questions. She has a lot of experience with therapy and great insight on controversial topics. I always felt included in this class, and I loved the class discussions!

I did not have a huge interest in psychology before this class but I was slightly curious as to why people behave the way that they do or why they do things different than most. Professor Monteverde helped explain a lot of these things with in class discussions as well as providing her own examples (which were definitely informative)

The best teacher that I had all school year. She is very respectful and social with her students. Work is very doable which mean you can get an easy A if you show up to class and do your homework on connect and journal entries. She gives a lot of extra credit opportunities on the first day of class so there is much time to complete them all.

Overall, I did enjoy being part of this elective/course even though that I took it for credit and transfer. I do agree with the teacher that everyone thinks/believes/views things differently. That is for she persuades students to participate or even share thoughts and comments publicly in class. It's a matter of being attentive.

She gives lots of extra credit opportunities, and she does expect all her assignments to be completed on time. Stay on top of your work and DO NOT PROCRASTINATE ON PAPERS. The hard thing about this class would be her papers, but they're manageable.

Prof. M is very understanding but the information she gives out can be unclear at times. She changes the due dates often and sometimes the date that is assigned for an assignment will not correlate. Personally, this class is a pretty work-heavy based which seems unnecessary such as multiple essays, projects, and Connect assignments.

Professor Monteverde is a very good professor. A Mcgraw Hill code will be required for this class. All of our homework assignments are online. Be ready to interact with your peers. Weekly assignments are due every Sunday but she has all of the work for the rest of the semester on D2L, therefore feel free to get a head start on your assignments!

I took her online, but her d2l looks messy. The due dates were not consistent, and several times she made 2-3 connect chapters due in 1 week, and on top of that: discussion posts too! Yes there were no exams, but the projects (GROUP projects too) and connect hw are really tiring to do. BUT, she is understanding, kind, and not a tough grader.

I really loved taking her class, she was really nice and always open to help in case you have doubts about a project. Do your homework and be part of the classes activities and you will get you a good grade. Extra credit given as well through the semester.

There was only one group project, very easy grader, She knows that you may have other things going one so just talk to her and she'll work with you. You should read the material she gives on d2l. You should most definitely get a head start in her class.

The classwork is straightforward, if you don't understand the assignments she is always available to help. She also reminds you of upcoming due dates so its impossible to turn in an assignment late. It's also best to get a head start on Connect assignments as they take up the most time.

This course was an easy course, but you have to be willing to do the work. There are weekly discussion post. There are not test but you do have to work on several assignments instead of the test. Overall the class was not that bad.

I had it online because I am working full time and in my BSN program at the same. I did this class at Lonestar because it's cheaper. However, the work load is too much. 4 quiz per chapter with chapter quiz of 80 questions. Writes paper every month or less. I hope the work load can be reviewed. The professor nevertheless cares and gives feedbacks.
