Adam is a fantastic professor. He always takes the time to explain things clearly, and really has an interest in making his students understand, if not enjoy, math. 10/10, would take again.
Adam is an excellent professor. Straight to the point and will never give unnecessary work. Unlike most teachers who will torture you with extremely redundant work, once the point has been made, he'll move on. Sarcastic but humorous personality, very approachable. His classes are limited in number and space so enroll ASAP. Definitely recommended.
Adam is a helpful professor. I studied with math in high school, but he took the time to help make it easy for me and to ultimately pass his course with an A. Most classes only last 45 minutes (tops), but he teaches you everything you need to know and never surprises you on tests. Quick quiz once a week and 4 tests per semester. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
He's really great for Management Pre-Calculus. If you want to learn, he will teach you. If you have questions ASK HIM! He is very helpful so just talk to him if you're feeling stuck. He's very knowledgable and enthusiastic so it makes it fun to learn. He knows what's up!
Excellent teacher. Very enthusiastic. Wants everyone to succeed and if you ask, he'll help. I have always been terrible at math all through high school and withdrew from this class twice before with different profs. I not only did well in Adam's class, it became my favorite. He's a former business student as well, so understands what we need.
An exceptional professor. Cares about his students, tests and quizzes were easy, very laid back professor. Has an awesome personality. Would recommend to anyone.
Adam was an awesome professor! Made something like calculus very easy to understand. Don't buy the textbook, you will NEVER use it. Highly recommend!
Probably the best mathematics professor at UML.
Boudreau is such a good professor who genuinely cares. He gave me really good advice and his class was a breeze, and I'm not even good at math. He is very kind and awesome. He cares and is super helpful, always lets you out super early and tests are same as homework but with different numbers.
Adam is a great professor, cool, helpful and cares a lot for his students. He wants you to pass his class but at the same time doesn't really care if you show up on time or miss a few classes. The true definition of a cool professor.
Adam was an amazing math teacher! I really hate math and have to usually really work to understand math. Adam made learning calculus really easy the way he went about teaching it. This was the first time in many years that I didn't dread walking into a math class. He ends his classes early usually by 12 hour so if you need help you can stay after.
One of the best teachers at UML. Everything is clear, he shows genuine concern for your education. Classes were short and those who need extra help can stay after. I wish I could take him a third time.
His Mang. classes fill up within 2 mins of opening. NO JOKE! Ppl REALLY like him. He'll go over the weird wording used for the final exam. No book, classes are 15 mins short (extra help), gives great feedback. Funny, engaging, clear, caring The best professor I've had at UML Would definitely take his class again. Sad I cant
Like everyone else who posted a review, math was never my strong suit. I put forth effort though and did well. This class could easily be miserable with another professor. His lectures are clear and concise. He doesn't overload you with a ton of concepts in one sitting. Yet by the end of the semester, you still learn all that you need to know.
Really good teacher. Explains the material very well. Doesn't use MyMathLab, just gives you minimal homework. No textbook. If you do the homework and show up to class it is an easy A. Passionate about math and is a very fair grader. Recommended!!
I was terrified of taking this class, I had dropped Calc three times before I actually took it with Adam. BEST MATH PROF YOU'LL EVER HAVE. No book, self-explanatory tests, he even sends out his notes for the class's lecture. VERY helpful, VERY insightful. Be sure you wake up early to sign up his class though, fills up wicked fast.
BEST PROF EVER! He doesn't care which class you actually show up for if its convenient for you. If your homework is late he doesn't mark it down. gives exam study guides which are exact same questions just different numbers. Like other people said his class fills FAST! Wish I could take him again!
If it weren't for Adam, I would still believe I am terrible at math. Having him 2 semesters was the best luck I could have had. He is an amazing teacher and person. He truly wants you to learn and is very enthusiastic. His personality is hilariously sarcastic. Don't be the you know what that takes advantage of him. He is the best UML has to offer.
Had Adam for both Management Precalc and Management Calculus. Best teacher I have ever had at any level, hands down. Really smart guy with a huge interest in seeing his students succeed, and was able to truly get us to understand the material. I wish I could take his class again.
Take his class. He is the best math teacher ever.
Professor Boudreau is the best math instructor I ever had. He makes math fun and actually understandable. If I had a chance I would take him again so I highly recommend taking him.
One of the best professors hands down. Very easy to talk to. He teaches and talks like a college student. He's like the student class president that knows everyone's name but he really cares about his students. I wish I could take him again.
Pretty good Professor, likes to take things slow. He is very approachable and understanding, you can ask him any question about the Math and is willing to help. He always wants you to succeed, would recommend him.
Need a calculus professor? Take Adam, he's a great guy who cares about his students and is very funny.
A real gem at UML. Gives amazing explanations of the material, if you take notes of what he puts on the board you will be able to study from them very effectively. Gives a weekly written homework, usually just 2 problems to solve. A very interesting guy, he is in a band and tells stories sometimes. Very down to earth.
He is an amazing professor who actually cares about you and your grades. As long as you actually try to understand the material, he will always help you. He is very nice and easy to have a conversation with. I recommend him 100% and would take his class again.
Great guy. Made this subject extremely easy to learn. I felt prepared for the exams and quizzes and there was minimal HW except for the MML, but he did not care too much about them, just do what you can on them. Easy to find after class to get extra help. Made cheat sheets for the exams for us to use. Emailed us lecture notes after each lecture
Awesome professor. Explains everything in simple terms so that it is easy to understand. He gives us harder questions to practice on so that the exams are a breeze. He gives 2 weekly homeworks that are pretty straightforward.
Absolutely hands down a great teacher. He is in a band and if you stay after class and talk to him he'll talk about anything with you. Just the best conversationalist and an even better teacher. If you hate or love math, TAKE HIM.
took calc 1a with him, its lectures, mymathlab, and a weekly 2 problem written hw. he is really laid back and explains concepts in very simple terms. hes not strict at all, as long as you dont disrupt the class he doesnt care what you do, but if you pay attention and ask questions, he will really help you succeed. best math teacher ive ever had.
Such a great guy. Took him for Management Calculus, and he made a confusing subject make so much sense. He is very good at dumbing calc down in a way that will make it more understandable. Written hw and MML due once a week, 2 exams and a final, few to no quizzes. Would recommend, especially if math is not your strong suit.
Professor Boudreau is awesome! I took his Management Pre-Calculus class and I also took his Management Calculus. He a good amount of My Math Lab homework but he is willing to extend due dates! He is super chill and he usually goes by Adam! He is always available for extra help and he explains things extremely well. Participation is key though!
Awesome Guy. Wants you to succeed and is willing to help. Does a good job at explaining things in simple terms. Weekly quizzes and HW, but pretty straightforward.
I usually hate math but this was my favorite math class ever. There are quizzes once a week but if you pay attention it's an easy A. He is very helpful in class and will answer any question and he explains everything so that it is easy for everyone to understand. I can tell he really wants the students to succeed and overall very down-to-earth guy.
He is Is realy good. Maths for me depends on who is teaching it, he makes it interesting. Quizzes are easy, just based on what he tells ya.. He is honest, and he tells you just the reality of things. He really cares about his students; overall academically, not just in his class! I argued with the department for him teach 1B but they wont.
He's an amazing professor with a great personality! I took him for Calc 1A, which consisted of 2 exams and a final, and a quiz every week or so. I'm generally bad when it comes to math but his method of teaching was very helpful. If you got a question during lecture, he'll be more than happy to clarify. Very enthusiastic, and wants you to pass.
He's a really cool teacher, awesome on everything, just only take 2 exam and 1 final, quiz sometimes but very easy. Doing homework is a need and its easy. Everyone who do weak on math will pass his class.
Adam is amazing. If you are going to take calculus, I strongly recommend you to take him. He gives amazing lectures, he makes them interesting and he engages with his students a lot. His classes are not hard. He made me enjoyed calculus a lot. 100% recommended.
Great professor must have for Calc 1A. Definitely would take again.
Adam Boudreau was amazing. Not only did he start off with a motivating speech for the semester, but throughout the class he explained everything well, was never boring in his lectures, and is a very friendly person. He is also an easy grader too and I'm sad that he only teaches Management Calculus and Calculus IA.
One of the only professors/teachers Ive ever felt truly cared about my development. Patient with his students and will help you for as long as you want/need.
Very nice professor and definitely one of the best calc ones. I recommend his class as long as you pay attention and do the homework it will be an easy A.
Professor Boudreau is a great professor. I only had him for one semester (2020 Fall semester, so it was online). While he does have some minor issues (as all professors do) such as the fact that each exam is worth 25% of your grade (3 exams), so failing one tanks your grade, he is still very chill and is always open to answer any question you ask.
He's awesome, I had him online and even then he was easy to understand. Very nice guy enjoyed his class.
he is an amazing teacher and I would take his class again
Goated professor!!!! really wants you to pass, would totally recommend for anyone wanting a good calc 1a professor
Great Professor and guy! Had him for Covid Classes, so not the typical course future students will have, but I'll say what I can. He explained each new concept very clearly, and is open to and great at answering questions. If you attend the lectures, and do the homework (without cheating) you will be prepared for the exams.
this is not the class to that you can easily scrape by in! if u want to pass u need to be willing to pay attention which is hard to do considering Boudreau doesn't do anything to make it interesting. he will not offer u extra credit or test corrections and ur whole grade is pretty much based on 3 exams. if u suck at tests good luck
Adam is a class act. He is probably my favorite teacher I have ever had in schooling. He is very down to earth and understanding. He is funny and smart and somehow makes calculus very enjoyable. I do not know what is more impressive, his knowledge of math or black metal. If he is an option for any class available TAKE HIM!
I was extremely intimidated going into Calculus having never taken it before. Adam teaches the material in the simplest way possible. A lot of homework on MyMathLab, but as long as you attend class and copy down what he does it really helps with learning the material. Very nice/caring professor, I highly recommend.
Prof. Boudreau is very nice and laid back. He will give lectures during his recitation periods based upon the weekly Pearson MyMathLab homework. He is very flexible with homework deadlines and will extend them if asked. Before each exam, he will host a review session and answer any questions you have. Highly recommended!
He is a great teacher that goes in depth with the material, and makes sure to simplify it.
Adam is simply the best. He is a tough grader but teaches incredibly well and really knows his stuff. He is very nice and always makes the class laugh.
Adam is the BEST. He takes his time to give you rules and definitions, which are so much easier to understand coming from him. He walks you through everything and tries to teach in a way that appeals to the entire class. I fell in love with math again because of his class and he helped me believe in myself. Truly a fantastic professor.
Different from your average math prof, but in a very good way. He takes time to help explain topics and if you want more you can go to the lecture notes.
Best Math Prof. Doesnt just tell you how to do a problem but shows you why you do it a certain way and the reason behind the math which makes it much easier to understand. Lecture notes that he has are extremely comprehensive and explains the content very well. Quizzes are short and simple if you pay attention. Classes usually end 30 minutes early
Professor Boudreau is the best! He explains all material clearly & everything that is expected of you. The only people who didn't do well in this class are the ones who didn't put the effort in to do well. I have never had a professor more accommodating and willing to go the extra mile for his students to succeed.
Haven't had many math professors yet, but I'm already 100% certain he's the best one here. Great teacher, explains things well, I got an easy A even without paying much attention in class. He has a discord server, and I can still ask him questions even though I'm not in his class anymore.
Took pre-calc back in the fall and Adam was a really good professor in my opinion. My math capabilities capped around pre-calc due to COVID and classes going online but Adam retaught many of the calc basics and now I feel like I have a very solid calc base going into Calc 1 and Calc 2. Highly recommend.
One of the best math professors I have ever had. Mr. Boudreau is an expert at explaining not only how to go about doing calculus but also why we are doing that particular scope of math. 10/10 would recommend.
Adam is a great professor. He is very practical in his lectures. he doesn't only lecture you but also draws attention to the real-world concepts. He is a harsh grader but only because he wants you to really understand the concept. Take his class if you are really willing to learn the subject. 100% recommended.
In one six-week course, he made me understand every pre-calc concept I could never wrap my head around in high school. Quite engaging lectures. Very concise and easy to contact for anything outside of the classroom.
it was heaven sent. if someone asked me if i could choose one professor to save me from a zombie apocalypse. it would be professor boudreau. he is a brilliant professor that truly cares about his students. his lecture are so well put together, its like wowzers. he is very passionate about his field and chill too.
Explains content in his classes very well, and sets you up for success in future math classes.
He's overall a great professor, he has amazing feedback on homework which is basically what you use to study for exams, he takes his time and starts from the beginning in everything.
Hands down the best professor ive ever had throughout my education, he's constantly available for help he posts his lectures for everyone, he's super nice, and if you're willing to put in the work he'll help you so much so you're as good at math as he is.
Precalc 2. Love this guy. If you can skip any class daily, DO NOT SKIP HIS, amazing lectures but doesn't record classes. He uses mostly discord for questions and there are weekly quizzes with a max of 3 questions, simple ones too.
I had Adam Boudreau for precalc 1 last semester and he was really great at explaining each concept that is covered in the course. There were three tests throughout the class including the final and homework due on ALEKS each week. If you have the chance to take Adam's precalc 1 class I would 100% say do it.
Adam has pretty enjoyable lectures, and he posts them online too. He goes over all the basics of calculus and does things in a weird order, but other than that he explains things quite well. Attendance is not mandatory but definitely recommend not skipping. Homework and quiz pretty much every week too.
I've always struggled with math but this professor made it extremely easy to understand. He clearly knows the material and knows how to teach. Can actually pay attention in class because it isn't so boring. One of the best professors I've had.
Over all amazing
Fight for you life to have Adam Boudreau as your calculus Professor, especially if math isn't your strong suit. I failed pre-calc twice and failed managerial calculus twice so this was my third try and I went from getting zero's on all my quizzes to 100's. You will pass his class if you put in the work and show up to every lecture!
Take Prof Boudreau if you get the chance. He was always willing to answer questions and gave hints about upcoming quizzes and exams. If you do the MLMs and show up for the quizzes and lectures you'll learn the material well. Was also available during math tutoring and answered emails quickly.
The best math teacher
Hes not old like most professors so he understands students and knows the best way to teach. One homework assignment a week and one quiz every/ other week.
He is so amazing! He has nothing but sympathy for his students. If you don't understand Math well I would try your ultimate best to get into his classes. I have never had as good as grades in math related classes than with this teacher.
really great professor, lectures are great, helps you understand the concept better. fun class
I enjoyed Adams class and don't know if I would have had the same success in a different math class, I would strongly recommend this professor.
Good professor, very chill dude
A good teacher does take a lot of points off on the little things. Quizzes are hard to study for but are worth very little.
My goat fr
He is such a cool guy. Makes the concepts in math that I found hard before easy to understand. Also he is very funny in class.
Best math professor I've had at UML. He makes difficult and sometimes boring topics interesting, and made me change my view on math for the better. I highly recommend taking him.
Amazing professor. The precalc curriculum is sloppy and a mess at UML. An absolute waste of time but you must pass it to take calculus. Adam is the best math professor in the whole school. Take him if given the chance. He is very lenient on quizzes. A little more strict on exams but it isn't really his fault since he doesn't make the exams. 10/10
I love him, he made math my favorite subject for a semester I love this guy
Cares about the subject and students
If you're reading this, then the other reviews are accurate. Personally, I had trouble keeping up in class since he didn't do practice problems in class. Also, I lost a few points on exams for not having proper math notation, which is fine apart from the fact he never went over it in class. Good guy though.
Adam is just a chill guy. He shows up a little late to the lecture, probably gives a quiz to make sure you are awake, teaches his ass off, and helps you if you don't get it. A lot of teachers will just show the topic and do some practice problems, which is how I learn best but that doesn't matter, but Adam makes it a point to explain every part.
I will never forget this professor my whole life, I remember how scared i was from taking this class. I'm a terrible math person I literally haven't taken a math class over 4 years. He made it so easy i never thought I would actually make it through this class. Don't hesitate to take him he really does care about his students. I think i'll get a B+
I used to come here to read all his ratings because of how scared I was of Calculus, after taking him he made me love calculus and i think i'll end up with a B+! if you're bad at math TAKE him. He is a great human he really cares about his students and wants them to succeed. he's my forever fav prof I wish all professors were like him.
The absolute best math professor. Took these class several attempts and he was the only professor in the department who was about to explain the material in a simple ways for those who aren't “math people”. Very considerate and understanding to his students. No bs and very honest and chill teacher. Others should take notes on his teaching style
This teacher is great if you're looking towards calculus and other math based classes as he provides a lot of insight into what you will be learning then. Despite this, his lectures are quite boring. He has a passion for what he teaches but its not very stimulating as he can spend up to 30 minutes on one or two easy practice problems.
Adam is the GOAT. He explains material clearly and genuinely cares that you understand it. He points out common mistakes from past students and gives useful tangents on concepts you'll see later in your major. Engaging, supportive, and highly recommended.
Yes he's pretty chill but the passive aggressiveness is low key insane, he doesn't really care. Over complicates simple problems, super chill guy but not my cup of tea or coffee or any liquid.
Chill guy, teaches the concepts very well.
