Professor Castaneda was one of the greatest instructors I've ever had. His lesson was largely made up of short readings followed by a discussion. We did a few tests based on the readings, but that was all. You'll be OK if you complete all of his homework and receive an A. If I could, I would absolutely take Castaneda again!

My class was online so we had lots of readings and papers to do but as long as you take the time to do the readings and complete the papers you should be good. His feedback was great. However, he takes a few days to reply emails.

If you need this subject GET THIS CLASS!!!! Adam is awesome. He gives you time to actually finish assignments. He cares about his students.

This was my favorite class this semester and this was in part thanks to the coursework and Professor Castaneda. The reading we did for this class was interesting and that made completing assignments so much easier. Professor Castaneda was an excellent teacher, his online course was very straightforward and easy to understand. To get a good grade make sure you check the weekly discussions and stay on top of the due dates. His assignments are basically just 3 exams, a lot of discussions that aren't that hard, just time-consuming, and some essays.

I took an anytime online class with Professor Castaneda. The modules itself were a bit disorganized, there was a lot of modules from the previous semester w/ the previous semester dates that made navigating a bit confusing. Other than that, it was a good class and I would recommend it.

This was my first in person class and the teacher is really understanding. I really liked his way of teaching and he made class interesting. I would definitely take his class again.

I enjoyed this class because there were great discussions and the work was very entertaining. I loved the stories and writing about them. He also had moments were he related to us and made is feel comfortable in his class. It was a great experience.

There were 12 or so assignments that were required, no textbook. He provides all the readings, which I preferred. If you miss the early assignments it can really impact your grade, but they're easy, just turn them on time. Have extra credit and would take him again.

His class is easy. All you have to do is to keep up with the discussions since they are 45% of your grade! , they aren't hard at all , so make sure to complete them.

As long as you turn everything in your good. Does not accept late work unless you tell him days in advance. Gave some extra credit. At least one Assignment every week.

Gives you an extension but will not accept late work so it's best to let him know beforehand. The work is not difficult and he gives sufficient time to do the work.

Get very prepaired to read. Every week there will be at least 2 stories each continging about 15-20 pages then there is a discussion due on friday of said week. 3 final exams two based on the readin and the final based on an essay describing one of the readings. Overall a good teacher chill and explains everything weekly on announcements.

He seemed very understanding and was open to discuss how to improve your grades when performance was low.

This is the best proffesor I had it for English 1302 because I missed some of my first few class due to an accident and proffesor did understand that and also he gave me the support . If you are going to take this class you have to spend more time to reading all reading assignments are easy to understand. Every week u have discussions to finish .

I would recommend for students to take his class. He is a chill professor and understands the students. He provides us with a reading at least once or twice a week. The unit test and post-discussions are based on the readings he gives us.

I really enjoyed Professor Castaneda's class. I highly recommend for a first time college student. Overall very easy class, you just have to put in effort. We only took 3 tests (very easy he let us create the questions) and 3 major essays. He does require heavy reading but they aren't boring, so it wasn't bad. We also did graded discussions.

I have only known professor Castaneda for 2 months and Can say he is a great professor. Not only does he teach the subject with great heart and passion he makes it interactive and very understandable. In the short period of time I had this professor I can say he is very understanding. The readings he gave were not as difficult and we had discussions over them. He is big on us sharing out our opinions over matters and pieces of literature. Also, he is very social and has no problem discussing his personal life.

Most of our assignments were discussions with an exam and essay every unit. The only reason i didn't rate my professor a 5 is because on all the exams there were questions from stories we did not read, however bonus point were added. Overall a fun and easy class that is passable if you do your work and follow the rubric

Professor Cataneda is a great teacher. His assignments are mostly based on discussion boards and participating in discussions during class, the readings that he assigns are interesting topics. He is calm and understanding when you miss an assignment. Definitely recommend taking his class.

I would personally say that Mr. Castaneda's class is an enjoyable course. He makes the readings more appealing by personally selecting these articles himself. His deadlines are reasonable along with his structures and I like how he personally involves himself to understand us and provide good communication with us.

He is a good teacher, he uses the method of reading in your own time and coming the next day in class having semi deep conversations. doesn't really like to leave any one out and does an amazing job at keeping the attitude up in class.

I did take this class online yet it wasn't difficult. There are graded discussions but it's easy to participate in and the stories were easy to understand yet if you don't, before the discussion starts we talk about the story a little which helps. Over all I enjoyed this class and definitely will take it again!

After taking Mr. Castanedas class my best advice is to just read what he assigns. You will have to write about what you read and discuss what you have read in class for a grade. Professor Casntaneda was a really great teacher! He makes sure to check in on all of his students all of the time to make sure everyone is doing okay. He also provides amazing equal opportunity every student in his class. He would never push someone out of their comfort zone but his discussions made me want to push myself out of mine and join.

I had no issues with Professor Castaneda. As long as you follow the instructions and turn in assignments on time, you are passing with an A! If not, some extra credit work was provided like writing an essay for a writing competition but don't rely heavily on these opportunities. One thing that stood out to me from him is that he would do checkups.

Mr. Adams is a great teacher, he supports and help his students any way he can , to see you pass the class and other classes related to it, or that need his class to go forward with the next classes. I honestly saw all his reviews and took a chance, but he's a pretty laid back teacher. All we pretty much did was discussion boards the first half of the semester and then focused on reading a book the second half. If your looking for a class that wont stress you out, this would be the right one for you.

Mr. Castaneda is an awesome instructor. He gives articles to read and that is where the exams come from. If you do your work and turn in on time, you will pass this course. I've missed a few assignments, but he is linean that at the end of the semester he lets you turn in late work. If I would have a do over, I would choose this instructor again.

I took him for my engl 1301 as an online class. His class was very organized and helped students if they needed to turn in an assignment late. Professor Castenada has been a kind and simple professor. Most of the assignments are discussions with three short essays and two exams. He does allow extra credit opportunities along with late submission for a penalty.

I took ENGL 1302 as a summer mini for 5 weeks and the professor is great! There were three major essays, 6 discussion boards and two reading exams that are multiple-choice and easy. I would definitely recommend taking his class. No final!

I would take this professor over any other for this class. He has engaging lectures and goes into detail about what he is looking for in every assignment. It was overall a oretty good course. For the semester I choae (Summer 2023) we had to write 2 essays, and do discussions about short stories. It was quite easy. However, if you're taking online on a schedule and aren't that comfortable with public speaking, be ready because there were a few times where we had to answer questions aloud for a grade.

This professor gives good feedback on your discussions and homework and explains the work in class. There is a lot of reading assignment in the class, but they aren't hard or overwhelming if completed on time and they are discussed in class sometimes. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this professor. He is super nice and learns everyone's names very fast, although we read a LOT, it really helped us in the long run. His class is super easy all you have to do is do the assignments on time and you should be good.

His class was very easy to me and the assignments were easy to understand. Most of the work was discussed in class which helped, and he gives a lot of opportunities for extra credit. His vibe was welcoming, and the class was very talkative and comfortable.

The professor is honestly so nice and professional there will be a lot of reading and group assignments, gives good feedback and you will feel so welcome in his classes.

He is layed back, however, there is alot of reading that needs to be done. You have to be tech savvy to succeed in his class.

Im glad i chose this class because he is a very caring and an amazing professor. He is also an easy grader and i think most of my class received a B or above for this class.

This class was a fun experience, he is super chill and nice person. There will be a couple stories but some of them are entertaining.

this class is very laid back and calming and had a lot of reading based assignments and he gives you time to do it yourself. there are group work assignments about every other week and he informs you when he's not going to make it.

I would want students to know that he is very leaning, but he will ask for certain things.

I liked his way of teaching. He was not too lenient but was clear on the rubric/criteria. He was also there if we needed help, even if we felt like it was a stupid question.

Professor Castaneda is maybe the most chill professor I have had at HCC. I have never once seen him raise his voice or become agitated. He always has an answer to every question I ask him; and answers with a smile on his face. He has a clear passion for reading, and that makes the class better; it makes you passionate about reading as well.

Professor Castaneda is not a difficult grader and his class is easy. He cares about you passing the class and he makes sure that by doing extra credit assignments, your grade goes up. Also he's not stingy about you turning in things late.

He's an understanding person and he is very clear when he talks. The assignments were pretty simple but a lot of writing. Always make sure to turn in the assignments because they do pile up quickly if you don't submit them. Overall, fun class and I enjoyed the discussions we would do because the way he asked questions opened up my third eye.

Mr. Adam is really great professor who can understand his students. And also the way he teaches is concise and comprehensive. But he responses the students' mail after 2 or 3 days sometimes more than that time ), That is why be patient when you want to join his class.

In my opinion, his class was fairly easy because he makes us do reading discussions and so far, he has only made us do two essays. I think if I had to take this course again, I would take his class because it was easy and I didn't struggle with keeping up my grade.

I do recommend taking this course with this professor because his class is not difficult. His assignments are very easy to complete and allow you to earn an A in his class. Some class discussions and group assignments are included, but are simple and easy to understand. Over all his class is not difficult at all and fun.

I would definitely take Mr. Castaneda's again because he is clear and supportive. He explains things well, has great class discussions, and gives helpful feedback on assignments. His class is easy to pass and he creates this learning environment where students feel comfortable sharing ideas.

Professor Castaneda was an amazing professor. His workload was average, with about 1-2 weekly assignments and assigned readings. Be prepared to participate in classroom discussions. For credit, you must speak twice to add to the conversation. There were rarely any tests during my time in Professor Castaneda's classroom. Overall, great professor.

Professor Castaneda is very adamant when it comes to inclusion of different voices, particularly regarding sexuality, race, and gender. While he doesn't make you read long text, he does make you read quite a bit of short text. He is overall respectful of students'views and perspectives and tries to engage with them as best he can.

Overall, Mr.Castaneda was a very good teacher, his class consisted of discussion boards and 2 major essays which isn't hard to do. He was very lenient and understanding. He would even give extra credit assignments to help those who may be falling behind.

This professor has a very calm learning style. He starts off his classes with a lecture which well explains the subject we would get into. He then goes over our assignment and gives us plenty of time to finish it.

Professor Castaneda is a fantastic choice if you like to work at your own pace. He explains the assignment thoroughly, lets you know what you need to do, and gives a reasonable amount of time to complete them. He's willing to work one-on-one with students and allows make-up work if you miss an assignment or aren't available for a class one day.

He is really respectful with his students, he has an example for each assignment that make everything more easy, also the way that he explain is really understandable.

Solid professor, you would have to apply yourself in order to stay in touch; If thats not an issue the class is a breeze. If you're reserved/introverted this will challenge you socially with the in class group assignments. Overall its an easygoing class with him at the helm.

This class course was smooth. Yes, there is some reading to do but they are short and when writing your thoughts for any reading you do, it was mostly about how you felt. The professor also gives extra credit, which is not mandatory. Overall, the professor engaged with the students and there is more opportunities for you to pass his class. :)

I 100% recommend this professor. The professor has class discussions that are extremely refreshing and he really prioritizes group work & he doesn't just throw you off the deep end. I loved him! He's very clear with what he wants and is very understanding. Only 5000 words total for the semester and that's including discussion posts and essays! Gives extra credit too. He's not a hard grader just do your work and you will get an A.

I took ENGL 2333 World Literature II, online anytime, over the summer, and it was so chill. It was literally just discussions over the readings and an essay at the end. Take as an easy English credit. He is also a nice person who is very interested in this subject.

This is the best professor that I've had so far! I loved his class it's pretty simple as long as you do your assignments. Good communication and always willing to help in anything that you have questions about. His class discussions are so interesting, and he grades you for participating on them.

This course has honestly been one of the easiest and most enjoyable I've taken at college so far. I felt confident enough to ask the professor and express my ideas in writing. The word count, which was the most important thing, was always in order.

This professor made ENGL 1301 a very easy class, he gave extra credit and gave multiple chances to submit late work. He is very responsive and attentive to any questions you might have, you could tell he cares about your grade. Very glad I took this class as it was easy to keep up with!
