Prof. H is very helpful, but extremely tough. In 132, we had to do some pretty difficult writing; he helped us all along the way. He speaks to you like you are a person, not just a studnet. I would highly recommend him to students who want to do their WORK!!!

This is the best English class I have ever taken, EVER. He really teaches critical and analytical thinking skills and MLA citation and format all while you are reading extremely interesting books. He also gives you a chance to revise papers to up your grade, he is really flexible and understanding...Take him, you won't regret it.

Excellent teacher. I would take anything he's instructing. Uses up-to-date examples and pop culture references to make examples meaningful. Grades tough but fair. I don't think anyone that attended my class is going to fail the class, at all.

He was an amazing teacher. He walks through each novel he chooses for you right along with you, which is why attendance is important. He is young, so he understands you not wanting to be there. Very nice teacher! I took his class online and he was very prompt when answering my e-mails and very helpful when answering my questions. If I didn't understand something, then he would explain it in a way that I could understand. We spoke through e-mail all the time and he was very polite and kind when we spoke. He is great!

Two in class essays (One of them we actually got to take home). 2 Annotated bibliographies, two other writing assignments, and a final paper 5-8 pages. He's a cool guy. Very nice, very chill. I took this class online and it was so easy and straight forward. IT was one 5 question quiz a week & a test every month & a half or so. Then one writing assignment at the end. I got an A but the average for the class was like a D. I really have no idea how a lot of people failed. It was so easy and straight forward! Def take him!

Took this class online. Every week you have a 5 question quiz due. Every three chapters or so there is an exam. The exam contains 30 m/c questions and majority of them are the same questions from the weekly quizzes, the rest you can find online or in the book. Class was easy but since it is an online class you have to remind yourself to do the work

Took this professor online... and a word of advice DO NOT rush through his class. He actually wants you to understand the material and be specific on his essays. I have a good background about religion and I thought this class would be a piece of cakes. It's actually challenging. He's a great guy though and he answers his emails right away.

World religions is a very interesting class, you are taking quiz every week for a chapter of the book, the quiz is five questions if you just read the chapter you can get a full mark, the unit exam have repetitive questions from the weekly ones. Respectful teacher, recommended.

I'm taking WR 131 online over the Spring semester. This professor is extremely straight forward with what is expected. There are no assignments, only a few quizzes and three exams with three timed essays. There is not final project or big final exam for this particular semester. Extra credit is available, though I'm not sure what it might be.

Professor Hazlett is pretty clear about what is expected from you. In this semester, there was no projects. Only quizzes and the 3 unit exams!

BEST ENGLISH TEACHER! This man is hilarious and makes the lecture interesting. Easy class if you do the work. Read the pages he tells you and share to class discussions. Don't be shy, it's your grade. Like the avg Eng class you'll have a couple essays. One pop quiz at the beginning of rule of the bone. 5pg essay at the end but don't sweat it.

Great class, if you don't mind papers. It's online so clearly papers are expected so if you are good at essays, take this class. Dr. Hazlett is good at getting back to you via email if you have questions. Easy elective to take, didn't grade to hard on the papers which was good. Bottom line, take if you like papers.

Online world religion class gives you an overview of the major religions and even has you "create" a religion at the end of the class.

He is probably the best teacher I have taken at hfcc, he's very clear about grading and helps with assignments as much as he can for you to completely understand what is required.

Enjoyable and easy class. Took for HUM 101 which isn't real difficult to begin with IMO. Hazlett is a wise and open-minded guy which is ideal for this type of subject. Funny too. We had zoom meetings and I turned my camera on voluntarily. You know that's respect. Definitely recommend. Just participate a little and read some sources.

He made the class easy, and was sensitive to our discomforts. Nice guy, likes to joke with the class, 4 assignments only 2 were big. Not a harsh grader. Don't be afraid of this guy ruining your gpa, take him. He's kind of liberal, but he just casually shares his opinions he doesn't force anything on us. He respects that half the class is Muslim.

He was a great professor honestly I hope to have him again he was so funny and cool I would advise you take his class, I had him for HUM101.

First semester in the honors program taking these classes and I had the opportunity to take this class with him. The books were very interesting and the class discussions were very fun and engaging. We had to do journals about these books which wasn't a problem. It's literally impossible to dislike him or his class. I would love to have him again.

Professor Hazlett is the best teacher I had at HFCC. I had him for an online humanities course, your grade is based on participation. All you have to do is make videos and participate in his weekly Youtube live lecture. Super easy and he is super entertaining!

Great teacher makes class really enjoyable and fun. Doesn't assign work but one midterm, final, and participation points which you could get by interacting with his YouTube videos. He also lets you turn in assignments lates and is really understanding. I honestly didn't stress about this class not one bit through out the seamster. TAKE HIM!!!

great professor, only 2 assignments to do, first is a midterm and the last is the final. you do have to create videos explaining your topics but its extremely easy. Only he sees the video so its not bad especially since we only have two assignments for the whole semester. He posts live streams answering our questions. hes great.

Easiest online class ever! 2 video assignments, mid-term and final. Live-streamed lectures on YT which made it easy to ask questions and go back & watch if you missed. I emailed him a reminder once and did not receive a response which upset me but I'll let it slide. I love that he brought attention to neurodivergence as apart of his class theme!

Hazlett was the best professor I've had! He gives 2 assignments (a midterm and final) throughout the whole semester and gave a lot of leeway how you chose to do the project. He gave info through live streams and as long as you comment, he will give you a good grade on participation. Overall, he's just a nice, down to Earth guy. I highly recommend!

Doc was an amazing professor. He wants you to learn at your own pace and in your own way. You get to choose what assignments to do. Two very simple mandatory ones, and two fun Menu Projects. You work at your own pace and it is a fun class. Lots of extra credit opportunities. He is funny too.

It's IMPOSSIBLE to fail this class. It's easier than Highschool multimedia. Professor Hazlett is also very optimistic and caring. He has his own website which might be confusing at first but it's easy. I would 1000% take him again.

AMAZING CLASS. All you had to do was 1 assignment where you had to introduce yourself, 1 mid-semester assessment where you had to answer questions about one of his videos, and 2 projects due at the end of the semester. This is easily the most light-work class I've ever taken. 100% would recommend.

This was a very easy class. There were only three projects, and I found them all simple to complete. He also offers an extra credit assignment if you really need it. Every week, he posts YouTube videos that you have to comment on for a grade.

Try to take online because in person is literally pointless. did no in class work whatsoever he barely took attendance so it was not mandatory or graded. there were only 3 assignments throughout the whole semester that were so easy and all online including the final. All in all he's very kind I just wish he made it clear attendance wasn't mandatory

The best professor you'll get. He does not assign work, all you do is subscribe to his youtube channel where he posts 40 min videos every week, and you should make a comment for participation. Although there's 2 midterm exams on Google classroom, but their super easy and you should receive an A. Hes a super sweet professor who cares for everyone.
