He's new at Valley this semester and I got stuck with him. However, I'm pleased to report that he is an excellent teacher. He's entertaining and eccenteric but can control his classroom. Knows his stuff and makes it accessible, very clear in expectations and presentation of subject matter. Highly recommend but keep in mind that Geometry is hard!
His tests are nothing like the homework, statistics is hard. He explains well, is very nice, and homework is not bad. But his tests are so hard...most people fail because you can't figure out what the heck is going on, you feel like the tests are from another class, no idea!!! Not recommended. Sorry Littig, change the tests and you will be liked!
Prof Littig explains things very clearly. The tests are based on the homework. You cannot walk out of a lecture without having gained some knowledge as he gives daily quizes, that he will help you with. Too bad he isn't teaching math 112 for the winter. Just follow his advise "study math 1 per day every day" and you will get an A.
Classes aren't boring however he moves quick. HW is optional but group HW of 4-5 problems is due every week, along with a quiz every week. Quiz's are really important and for his midterm he let us bring one sheet of paper(one sided)of anything we needed. I did good on the midterm but after I was lost,so I dropped. Math isn't my thing but I tried.
There's two types of HWs: Individual & Group. Individual is optional as you are doing it for your own enrichment. Each Group HW is worth 10 points and you may choose to work with a group or by yourself. 10 Quizzes, 3 Midterms (Ch. 1-3, 4-6, & 7-9) and a Cumulative Final (Ch. 1-11). I got an A, but I had to work a lot for the Cumulative Final.
Professor Adam Littig is a great guy. He wants his students to succeed, but he also want you to want yourself to succeed. Although he doesn't take attendence, you must go to every class because something new is taught every class meet. Notes are vital. Any question is answered and there's a quiz once a week. Quiz= prep for midterm. Tough, STUDY
Professor Littig is a nice guy but his class is really hard the test are based on a curve there is a quiz every tuesday test are not what you study from the book or quiz dont bother taking his class he you want to pass with C or higher and actually learn and not fail take this class with someone else. Stats is a hard class !!!
Professor Littig is new at Valley but I'm glad I got placed in his class. He is an excellent teacher and his weekly quizzes are vital when it comes to the tests. He is really helpful and also funny. You can fail all your tests but if you complete the final and show that you know the material, you have a shot at getting a good grade. Love him!!!
Prof Littig is new at Valley. I am so glad I gave him a shot, he is extremely helpful and funny. His weekly quizzes are vital when it comes to tests therefore you must go to class and do the homework. You can be failing all your tests but if you do good on the final, you have a good shot at a good grade. I loved him, he makes you love math!
Professor Littig is extremely helpful. I see him working with students after class all the time. When one person does not understand something he goes over things until the person is comfortable with the subject. Tests are hard but if you are following along with the class and doing the TON of homework he assigns you'l do well.
Professor Littig is absolutely the best math teacher you could hope to have. His style is very warm and encouraging, while at the same time methodical and practical. He knows how to talk to students and get them to love math (or at least feel comfortable with it, if it's not your best subject). I wish I had him for all my math classes.
Highly recommended. I took his Math 105 and skipped Math 112, because was taught by him...I took Math 115 in Spring'11 and got an "A". Do your HW, and you'll be fine !!! A.Littig has an amazing sense of humor, which makes his class informal.
Best Professor Math 115 :) 5 stars for him
He doesn't just teach you how to do procedures; he explains why they're done. He's very laid-back, but is fairly serious and "by the book." There's plenty of homework, but he didn't expect you to do all of it. Tests were 20 questions each. If our grade prior to the final was a B (for example) but you got an A on the final, he'd give you an A.
Professor Littig is an awesome instructor. I got a C in his class because I was not able to focus on the math as much as I should have. He stayed with students after class to explain things over again. He respects everyone. There are no dumb questions in his class. I highly recommend him to everyone.
Mr Littig is one of the most respectful and helpful teachers I have ever had. I am an art major and don't need math except to transfer to a UC and he made it so easy for me to understand. If you don't understand something he makes sure you do! There are many opportunities to better your grade as well.
Great professor!
His great Math teacher and helpful :) I took Math 115 last summer and will take Math 125 in the spring 2012
Great teacher! Was very fair in his grading and will help you out if you don't understand. I wish he could be my math teacher for all my math classes.
Took this class for Winter and it was very challenging because of the fast pace of the session but he was very helpful. Even took the extra time to help students out with additional help during and outside of class. I highly recommend to take him, very good vibe in the class as well.
Took Littig last semester for 115 and am now in 125. Best math teacher I've ever had. Super helpful, funny, clear. He is truly a great teacher
I read all the good reviews, and I thought he was going to be good, but he is not. His tests are hard, and his teaching methods complicate everythin. He makes you feel dumb if do not understand!
He makes everything more complicated!
He makes math more complicated than it already is. I'm still thinking whether I should drop or not. I read the good reviews thinking that he was going to be good. Every class meeting he comes in by asking "Any questions?". He doesn't teach so try your best to stay away
Proffesor Littig is a very good teacher. He shows the deep knowledge of the subject and explains it to make sure the students understand the core of the subject. Yes his tests are hard. He wants you to think and make correct decisions. It seems frustrating at the start but in the long run you develop critical thinking and your knowledge is deeper.
Stay away from this class! its really difficult. He gives a quiz every week and it is out of 10 points . curves most of the test, and you are able to use 1 cheat sheet for all thee midterms and final. there is only online homework. i dreaded coming to class.
it was very difficult teacher!!
If you want to understand stats and willing to put in the time doing the hw, reading the book , attending lectures and participating in the online discussions you will pass and fully understand statistics. If you are a procrastinator and "do the minimum" lazy type of person you will fail this class and probably in the real world. Generous grading.
This guy cracked me up the entire semester. My recommendation is show up, do what he says, and get a decent grade. If you cut corners, then you cut your grade. The class a little challenging, and the class is time consuming (but not overwhelming). Easy comes with practice.
Funny and knows how to teach. He checks week's homework the day of the day of the chapter test. He drops lowest test grade. Final review was very helpful. As long as you keep up with the homeworks, you should be fine.
stick with the plan, follow instructions, do your homework and you will get a good grade.
Winter Session math 125. 3 chapters per week. Quiz on tuesdays along with the 3 chapter homework packet. Quizzes are not like the homework. He doesn't care if you do all the problems. They're odd and answers are in the back, but he does want you to touch on every section. READ THE CHAPTERS. do the HW. get as many points as possible.
I'm not a math person to begin with but I really enjoyed this class. I had him for winter and it was very challenging because of the fast pace. Other than that he was very fair, he always tried to help students, he was extremely patient and very humorous. If you try hard and study for quizzes you'll pass the class :)
Prof. Littig is really concerned with making sure everyone understands the material and ends up with a good grade in the class. He's extremely helpful and will literally answer any question as many times as you need. He has a great sense of humor.I took him over winter. Test every tues.along with hw packet. Grade is highly contingent upon the final
He is a very very great instructor. Students have to do a lot of homework to succeed in his class. Take him! Do not afraid!! 100% sure.
Super recommend him for any math level. I also planning to take Stat 227 with him. However, I wish he teach geometry, and calculus too.
Amazing math teacher. Be prepared to laugh cause he's funny, which is great because it keeps your attention! Like any class, don't expect it to be easy. Put in the time and effort for the grade & if you do, you'll ace this course. Read book + study + HW practice problems = WIN.
Really good
Pretty good teacher overall. He assigns A LOT of homework and his lectures go by really fast. Do all the homework ON SCHEDULE, read the book, and come back with all the questions you need and you should do fine.
I think he is writing the good reviews. He does not really teach. In order to get a passing grade you need to learn from the book. He goes over the homework for most of the class and builds on top of the problems for the new lessons. He does not have patient with students. I am usually an A student but he would confuse me rather than help me.
He is not a good teach for stats. He goes over the Homework for most of the class time. He builds on the hwk problems for the new lessons. Must attend his class or else he drops you. His test are worded different form the hwk or practice problems. He does not really like to answer questions. You need to learn from the book to pass his class.
Littig is a great proffesor. There is so much work but you have to work your butt off. There is homework and quizzes and test are hard but really do your work.
I took him for Stats (math 227). This class is lots of work and very time consuming. He assigns homework plus a lot of online work on etudes. All the work it to help you understand the material. The tests are difficult but he allows cheat sheets and he grades on a curve, which helps a lot. He helps a lot when you visit his office hours.
This class is really hard for people who have a hard time with math.
He's a really good professor just the amount of work is absolutely crazy. It's time consuming and trust me "an hour a day everyday" is all bs you will have to spend at least 2 to 3 hours a day. But on the bright side he's there to help you if you go to his office hours.
Really cool teacher. He's really funny if you get his jokes. He says an hour a day everyday, and if you do it the class it's super easy. A lot of people say it's a hard class, but it's really not. Go to office hours if your not so good with the subject, and just do what he says. A lot of people who showed up late and unprepared, so they did bad.
He is great but his test are hard. He is a know it all. I had him before but this class is hard. Only if you are a math mayor!!!!
he is not the grandest teacher that you wish for. He is pretty hard, gives a lots and lots of homework. If you are not the math loving person it's really hard.He things that you should know everything.P.S. don't take the class for summer or winter.
I took this class for winter, and I regret that. The teacher is not easy, you got to work hard. I got a B, because I did not see anything but Math book and online homework for 5 weeks. So if your life is to easy and boring take him, and hill make sure to make your life miserable.
He is a really nice guy and if you are willing to put the work in, you will learn. I took it in winter session and regret it, because he does give tons of hw. overall though he is clear and knows what he's teaching. you just gotta work
Teacher is funny, has good attitude, loves math and clarifies it and teaches it so you get it easily. ALOT OF HOMEWORK, like 70 problems per section. class is hard but you'll do fine as long as you do the homework and extra credit and do good on final :) good luck
Prof. Littig is a nice man, not a great prof. His lectures are confusing, he goes really fast. Your grade is a mystery until the end. His favorite thing to say is "Don't worry, you'll be fine". His class was filled w student's who had to repeat it. A passing grade is really a fail, but he curves a lot. He doesn't give enough time to finish exams.
If you're not a math person do not take his class. Or if you have a job I wouldn't recommend this class as well. He expects you to do a couple hours of homework everyday. I hated this class, worst math I've ever taken.
Professor Littig was great. The students that are saying he is terrible either have a tough time with math and should get outside help (I.e. THE TUDORING CENTER!!!) or they are stupid and lazy. Math is a tough subject and I was lucky to have a professor such as Littig. He goes the extra mile if you are willing to run it.
Class: Online Hw & Quiz ( on Mastering Pearson), Etude assignment; discussion, extra credit and Statdisk assignment. Group project will assign (easy one!) Grade: If you fail every exams, and get an A on a final, that A, will be your over all grade! Need: Calculator, TI94 will be awesome! and Study everyday! Chp 4,5,6,7 are difficult so study!
Assignments: Hw & Quiz on mastering pearson, Etude: discussions, extra credits, and Statdisk assignments. Statistic is difficult and His exams was difficult! I did homework online and do all homework all chapter on textbook too. Grade: Curve and he take the best grade on your final exam Study these chp 4,5,6,7! need calculator, TI94 is heaven!
He's nice. Lectures are clear. The problem is he assigns too much homework. Etudes discussions 30min ea 3 per week, reading 1 ch. per week is 4-5hrs. hw is 4hrs. weekly quiz 1hr. + class 15hrs. per week. + Study time for tests, infinity. He doesn't prep you for the test. Tests r 20 questions, that take 5-10min. per to answer, not enough time!!!!!!!
This class would not have been so bad if the work wasn't so time consuming and difficult. Not only must you complete the standard online homework and quizzes but you must also do weekly online labs and discussions, as well as one group project. I honestly would not recommend this professor to anyone who has not taken a statistics class before.
You get cheat sheets increasing how many per test. Has a folder with his slides that you buy wit the textbook, very helpful. A lot of outside stuff on etudes; discussions, assignments on stat disk and quiz online. Everything is kind of spaced out. I would kind of recommend. If you do better in your final than over all grade then thats ur grade
Hard class but there is extra credit.
Proffessor Littigs stats class is HARD. He is a tough grader on tests. There is online hw everyday, quizzes on the websites, discussions, tests which are not your ordinary tests, and a book is mandatory. His body language makes students feel like they wanna go home. He just staggers ALL of class & talks. Just an overall hard class. Not recccmd.
A lot of HW, but it helps with understanding the material. Do extra credit. Highly recommend getting a graphing calculator- it will help big time! Ask him questions if you don't undesrtand something, he will always answer (he just may seem as unapproachable). Study hard and you'll pass the class. Group project wasnt as hard as I thought it'd be.
Way to much homework if you are taking more than 12 units. Attendance is very important. His lectures are very boring and will sometimes lead to conversations that are extremely off topic. When not during lecture, he is often on his phone, and when approached for a question kind of just waives you off.
He gives you every chance to not only pass, but actually do well. He has weekly Extra Credit, and he has a super-generous curve on exams (especially on the final). You could literally show up for 2 days (the first and the last) and leave with an A if you do that well on the final.
If you have a life outside class, then this is not your class!!! There is on quiz due Friday, homework due Sunday, test due Sunday by midnight. And at minimum 3 entries to his topic. One entries is due Monday, by 6pm even if you are off from school. The class is worth 1000 points. Extra credit is for the chapter before, so always have to be ahead.
I took Professor Littig for Math 227 - Fall of 2016 and I have no regrets. If you speak, write, serious about your education, and understand English perfectly, there should be no reason not to get an A+ in his class. Yes, there's homework and reading every day but this will give you practice and understanding. Challenge yourself, you can do it!
Prepare for a class were you have to essentially teach yourself! His tests have nothing to do with the expensive book that he makes you buy because he is too lazy to write examples. He only gives a couple of examples & homework is based on the book, which he never ever follows.
This professor doesn't know how to teach so the students can understand. He makes you to buy the expensive book but he doesn't teach anything from the book. There is a lot of online homework, quizzes etc. And the worst thing is that half of the lecture he talks about politics.
He is not a good professor, his lectures are most of the time unclear, and he expects that you teach yourself everything. He usually gives one example per topic in the class and he doesn't explain them. I don't recommend this professor. He is a tough grader, and he is not good at teaching.
All the HW and quizzes are online, due weekly. He makes you buy the book because it comes with his lectures. He honestly doesn't care if you pass. You must study. I personally didn't like him, I had to teach myself to learn. The group project wasn't specific. By the way, he doesn't curve your grade, I was a point away from a B.
Littig is a smart aleck whenever a student has a question during class. When I went to see him during his office hours, he told me to read the textbook, & sent me off. He has 3 midterms, he will return the midterms but without providing the correct answers. No study review or test review. Not helpful and extremely lazy instructor. Avoid at all cost
Because of this professor's harsh grading, no study review for any of the midterms or exams. I failed this class despite studying really hard and teaching myself! Avoid him.
This class had honestly been one of the hardest classes I've ever taken. You need to be able to attend every single class and be able to self-teach yourself, or you will fall behind. All homework and quizzes were assigned through mystatlab and canvas. Lots of extra credit was available on canvas as well. I got a 79.9% and he curved it to a B.
Very hard teacher. I worked very hard and put many hours to teaching myself to get the A in the class. As mentioned, all of the work is on Statlab and Canvas. It's very time consuming. The 3 exams are worth a lot. I studied 3-4 hours for them. Do well on the final and if you score better than your grade, that will be your new grade.
Toughest class ever! He's rude, very horrible at explaining, he expects us to read prior and gets mad when we don't. He makes us do new things first, and then learn how to solve it after we failed since we were suppose to have read. A lot of homework and online assignments. Only good thing is grade on Final can be our grade in the class.
if I can give his -5 I will he doesn't know how to teach he only read from the power point slides, doesn't really explain anything. his tests from another planet not the book
Not an impossible class, but not the most enjoyable. He makes a lot of comments that are sarcastic- sometimes in a good way but a lot of times in ways that make you feel belittled. Doesn't teach that much, just reads the power point and leaves you to try out the problem for 5 or so minutes before putting up the answers. Least favorite class so far.
I had to take him for MATH227 at Los Angeles Valley College. He does not review material before exams. Makes student's questions seem useless. You have to work hard and dedicate a lot of time in this class in order to pass. Pay attention to the due dates on the syllabus and canvas. He knows his stuff and is helpful during tutoring hours.
HORRIBLE. He doesn't even teach. Just reads off the powerpoint and expects you to absorb the material easily.
I love math but this class was so difficult. the professor didn't help. all he did was read off the PowerPoint. in class we would get off topic and he'd get mad at us for not doing the classwork and having a class discussion at the same time.
Professor Littig is by no means a bad professor, but this class material was VERY hard to understand. His teaching style is to read off slides, and allocate time for students to do work. If you understand the coursework, then I would recommend. But if you are a student looking to take a Stats class for a requirement, stay away from this class.
I thought he is a bad communicator when it comes to asking questions especially when initially getting into the class. I struggled the first couple of weeks to catch up because there is homework assigned everyday when you are still trying to get the books. He takes a while to respond on email. I would avoid this teacher as he does not TEACH... lazy
Run... Do not take this Professor! You will spend hours, upon hours on Homework! It is hard to communicate with this professor, he does not respond to emails or will take 4-5 days later to reply. The structure of the homework, workbook, quizzes makes zero since. I wish I listened to the previous ratings. I truly regret taking this Professor!
Wow. I don't even know where to begin. If you choose this class you will not have a life (that is if you want to do well). There is work every day with twenty questions each. He is not good at explaining anything. Also, you have three midterms, a final paper, and final exam (accumulative). Very difficult class. I do not recommend for anyone.
If you find a math class where you don't need to put in your own work, please let me know! Mr. Littig has thorough knowledge of the subject, explains it well, doesn't accidentally on purpose forget to answer hard questions, responds to emails, genuinely cares for his students learning and well-being. Yes, he was hard but I'd take him anytime.
Although Professor Littig is a stingy grader, he truly cares about his students and the subject. If you show him maximum effort, he will help you pass the class. Don't just do the HW. Use the HW as a study guide for the exams.
By far the hardest class I have taken at Valley College, and I've attended this school for 2 years and about to graduate, that being said this professor is the type of person who will outline the class for you perfectly and is a prepared professor. You definitely need to focus on his class more than any other. Finished with a W had to take it again
Horrible, horrible professor dont know where to start... slams students with all online work and his notes/lectures have nothing to do with the exams.
I genuinely enjoy going to his class you will learn a lot of useful things and as a super shy person I look forward to his feedback that clarifies everything instantly. Lots of work needless to stay for a STATS class. Super knowledgable guy, genuinely cares.
Im taking this fool right now and let me tell you this man is the worst, I wish I couldve got another stats teacher. Everything is online and makes 0 sense, the lectures in class make sense and seem easy if you listen which gives you confidence but then you go on canvas and the hw there is completely different from the lecture in class. The worst
every single thing (homework, extra credit, quizzes) was from class. Each class was a different section & the homework from that whole section was spread across the span of one week. If you dont understand chapter 1 or 2, this class is just going to get harder over time!!
Littig is a great professor not going to lie; the only issue is assigns SO MUCH ONLINE HOMEWORK. All of the assignments are posted before semester starts, so there is no reminder to do assignments. He also uses statdisk which is so difficult to use. I took his Monday night, once a week, class and I really do not recommend.
One of the best teachers I've ever had! Math is by far the hardest concept for me, but he made the class a lot easier. He's great at explaining the material, always open to talk at office hours, and extremely knowledgeable about the subject. Don't listen to the other ratings if you're hardworking and want the A, your work will pay off.
Just don't take this class periodt
Professor Littig isn't the best professor, but isn't the worst. He knows his stuff and if you put the work in you will pass. There are easier professors who teach you just how to input everything on the calc, be teaches it the long way. He assigns homework 6 days a week. He let's you attend any of his class times that day which is convenient.
Prof. was mediocre. First off his lectures were too slow in the beginning of the semester then very fast towards the end. He teaches in a monotone voice and lectures can become very heavy. The exams are similar to lectures and homework BUT, sometimes totally unrelated to the lecture. He uses the nightmare known as statdisk. Avoid...!
I don't understand the negative comments for the intro Stats class. I had taken Stats before and didn't get it, but now I do. The lectures are heavy, but I thought he was patient and clear in his explanations. You have to work for your grade though and be alert in class , otherwise, good luck. Don't be lazy. Ask questions if you're having trouble.
Prof. Littig is an SPECTACULAR educator. He worked w/ me weekly via canvas mssg b/c of my learning disability. These neg reviews are from lazy students. He is super caring, you just have to put in the work & ask questions. He is funny in class, & if you put in the work you will get an A. He is passionate about teaching, thank you Professor :) <3
Best stats professor at Valley. At first I did not like that he used StatDisk, but once I figured out he lets you use it on tests I began to take it seriously. It was like a 3 hour final but I finished in about 45 minutes because I used StatDisk. It is basically a statistics calculator, it does everything. Trust me, take him and learn Statdisk.
Professor Littig is very knowledgeable. He works with you and wants you to pass. His book is very affordable. You can write in the answers and is very helpful when it comes to exam time.
He sucks. The textbook he has you get is just a glorified slideshow that you have to complete yourself. Homework is a nightmare to deal with. I dont care if there is a lot of homework but when there is little to nothing to assist you, one might get a tad bit frustrated. Hate him His class I literally got my own textbook to tech myself the matterial
why why why did I take this class! I was told to take this class but you don't even need it. I worked my a** off and failed and they didn't let me take it again and then I took statistics with Mossman and Peter and she was amazing. Take statistics instead of math. You won't regret my advice.
If you ask a question he will go in-depth and make sure you really understand the material. Really cares about his students.
Professor Littig is an amazing professor. Really cares about his students and takes the time to answer every question and makes sure you understand it. Always very responsive. Not a very easy class but if you study you will get an A. Definitely recommend him.
Textbook required is a workbook he wrote. Comes in handy for studying. Final exam is a HUGE part of your grade. Teaches fast but is open for questions so ask otherwise you'll get lost in the sauce. HW is due at the end of the semester. Don't recommend leaving it all to the last minute. Difficult material but not impossible to pass. Great professor
His lectures are always super easy to follow wether it's in class or through the videos. Accepts late work for full credit and is very understanding and concise. You do not always need to be there and participate, but if you do it's really cool and gain insight into the subject, I am sure it is because of his experience.
Professor Littig comes across as easy going, lenient and. I was 1week into the class when I noticed alot of our assignments werent covered in the "book" (collection of slides based on his lecture) I asked him about it and I was told that I can "google" whatever isnt in the textbook. If you have trouble with math, this teacher is not for you.
Honest to all that is good, he doesn't exactly care about his students mental health. If you want someone who is understanding about the way you learn, and your mental health this is not the professor to take, because he'll brush it off like it's nothing.
zoom attendance is not mandatory, as long as you do your work. he gives a ton of homework, but gives 7 attempts each. midterms are timed but NOT proctored.
This class is not for laidback students. Most definitely need to keep up with the homework. He is completely honest and will make the work worth it towards the end of the semester. There is little margin for error on his grading, but he does make it fair.
This professor charges $50 for the textbook and assigns tons of homework that do not make sense. Would not recommend as first option for online stats class.
He is really nice and understanding but honestly it's just a really hard course. You HAVE to buy the textbook. Any where from 3-6 assignments due per class so about 6-12 due per week, and some of the assignments are 30-50 questions and only worth three points so it feels like a waste of time.
Professor Littig was great! while class topics might be hard to understand being math after all, professor Littig makes the material easy to understand with his guides. Very forgiving on grades and will let you work on your own pace but you should still keep up as the work can very easily add up.
Take this class if you need to pass a math class in order to transfer, you will definitely pass with him even if you are horrible at math and are scared to take it like I was. Trust me you want to take him online. Attendance is not mandatory. Just do it.
Professor Littig, syllabus and course expectations is straight to the point. I enjoyed being able to attend his three different class times, if you couldn't make it to the afternoon one. He gives a lot of weekly homework; you must stay on top of it, or you can get behind. His math book is really helpful. Do the work and you will pass.
I was really scared to take statistics, but I'm so happy I took this class with Professor Littig. I was prepared to get a C in this class because Math has always been my weak point, but as long as you keep up with his homework, you're good. Some assignments are long, but they are basically you learning the steps to the problems.
You will fail.
You can't read his handwriting. It's like a 5th-graders writing. Explains problems but then has to get corrected by students on what he got wrong.
If you take it online, be prepared to learn and teach yourself, not with him. Unreadable writing and constantly makes calculation errors that you or other students will notice and immediately call him out on it. You can tell he has poor experience teaching online Zoom or in calculus based courses as he is centered on statistics. Nice guy, though.
Adam seems like a nice enough guy who wants his students to succeed, but honestly, the amount of homework you will end up doing is absurd. If you take his classes, be prepared to spend several nights doing hours of homework. I would not recommend his class to anyone desiring a work/life balance, especially not to students that work.
He is by far the worst professor I have ever had. He is so terrible at explaining things and has the handwriting of a 5-year-old. When asked to explain something, he'll either give a complicated and convoluted explanation or tell you to wait until it makes sense. He makes more mistakes than any math teacher I've ever had.
Prof. Littig, though warned as a sub for Math 260 by original professor, is dedicated. Despite it not being his primary field he is very knowledgeable when it comes to math since this is his profession, he ensures students grasp concepts, offering support through office hours. Math isn't universally easy, but his commitment aids student success.
Do not miss a Zoom meeting otherwise, you will fall behind. The way he explains the material can feel drawn out and difficult. There are questions that he did not explain thoroughly so be aware and study from different materials. I ended up being fine but if you cannot sit at a table and re-do the questions multiple times do not take the class.
He is selling his own books to us
Exams are disproportionately weighted (80% of the grade) and are poorly structured, with inconsistent requirements for rounding answers. featuring unclear instructions and discrepancies in grading expectations. his lack of clarity and inconsistent grading make the course difficult. I recommend the college review his teaching practices.
Do not get intimidated by the work!! just ask questions he is more than happy to help! I pulled through the end of the semester and got a B!! just do your work and you will be fine! He is an awesome profesor!!
Professor Littig cares deeply about student success, but the workload can be brutal. Use Unstuck ai, the textbook, and attend office hours to stay on top of the material. It's a challenging class, but doable with dedication.
Terrible experience with professor his exams are very difficult and he does not explain properly. Felt rushed all throughout semester.
Terrinle experience. This teacher is doing everything wrong. Needs to provide tools to assist students like me that struggle with the whole Statistics logic this class was just a nightmare for me.
