The class is not difficult, but attendance is mandatory because you can only miss 2 classes which he states in the syllabus and beginning of course. Creating the website (final project) is not difficult to complete if you attend computer lab sessions. He is very helpful at office hours and in the lecture/computer lab sessions.
Great Professor. Same as IS101 but making a website more in depth. In class quizzes and exams. Also one lab
He is one of my favorite professors. Very helpful and is a great speaker. Class is very easy if you show up and listen to him. Follow the rubric for the class projects and you will get an easy A. Don't wait until last minute to work on projects because he offers great help during his office hours.
Great Professor, Class is mostly based around one big project, most of it you can get done in class but some things you have to figure out on your own. He's very helpful with the whole process though if you have any questions. Just don't wait until the last minute.
Attendance is mandatory for lectures. The power points he presents are quick and to the point. The quizzes are based off the lectures and easy if you look over the notes beforehand. Class project is to build a website, which is a lot of fun. Not too many assignments. Labs aren't mandatory. This is my second time taking this professor, he is great.
Lectures off of powerpoint slides that he posts online, so you can get the info whenever. Tests are based exactly off the slides so you don't have to use or buy the textbook. One semester long project that's easy if you keep up with the deadlines and quizzes for every chapter that you have to memorize the slides for. Reed is super cool tho!!
It is mandatory to attend lecture classes, Not for the days that are labs. However, it is best to attend them because he helps you with your class project and gets you on the right track. Very understanding, if you just tell him what is going on ahead of time, he will work with you. Fast lecturer, focus on main points. Lets you use notes on exams.
Professor Reed is by far the best teacher I have ever had, I took his IS 101 class and loved his teaching so well I took his IS 301 as well. As long as you work hard and do the things required of you, you will get a good grade in this class. 10/10 recommend this professor if you ever get the chance to take one of his classes.
Professor Reed is a great choice for any Information Systems class. He makes the material as relevant and interesting as possible (tough if you're not much of a tech person). No group project in this class, and the individual projects are all manageable. Highly recommend!
I took IS 101 with him in previous. Definitely recommended. Easy, Fun, Helpful!
Professor Reed was a great professor to have and made the class very easy to work with. He is a fair grader and lets you use a study sheet for tests.
One of the best IS professors at the UNR. As long as you come to the lectures and do everything on time, you should get an A. You will get a study sheet for each of your exams. Study all powerpoints for your quizzes and exams. Take this professor, he is amazing.
Straight-forward class; runs along with a class project that's due at the end. Meet all the deliverables and you'll be fine. Professor treats everyone fairly, delivers lectures clearly, and mention what he's looking for in the projects.
Professor Reed is awesome. This class is interesting and fairly easy. A lot of your grade is based on a semester project so don't procrastinate on that. Tests and quizzes are very fair. Overall, I would recommend taking professor Reed.
Class was easy. Tests had a cheat sheet. Class project was easy if you go to lab.
Professor Reed is super awesome and very understanding! The class project sucks just because he explains things very fast, but ask him for help if you need it. Pay attention and go to class. Attendance is mandatory. the class is easy if you stay caught up. His quizzes are closed notes but exams you get the front of an 8.5x11 sheet of notes
IS 301 is a fiarly easy class. Reed makes this class easy to get an A by using a full page of notes for the tests. Quizzes every two chapters were the only thing that negatively affected my grade. Big website project due at end of semester, but he walks you step by step and makes it very easy. Plenty of time to get done. Can only miss 2 lectures
Professor Reed really cares about his students success. Exams are straight forward and he allows a sheet of hand written notes. Quizzes are also straight forward if you prepare for them prior to class. Attend class, make sure to stay on top of your class project, and you will be fine.
Professor Reed is an excellent professor. IS 301 is great prepartion for for anyone looking to be successful in virtually any business workplace. Easy A as long as you go to class and do the work. Highly recomend this class.
Overall really good teacher. Class is not too difficult as long as you put some time into it. There are cheat sheets for exams and he posts the slides. I would recommend attending the labs even though they are not mandatory.
Awesome class would take him for any class he was teaching
Mr. Reed is a good guy who has a ton of knowledge but saying that I think he may be lacking the updated research on the highest quality of learning/distribution of knowledge. Its a good class but I think sometimes it becomes more about memorization and specific directions then it is about actually learning and understanding the material and relat
I had taken Professor Reed for IS 101, so I knew his style of teaching and in 301 I found him to be the exact same. Some of the classes we would cover content from the textbook, which you don't need. He also posts the slides online. The other classes we would be in the lab working on our website, which he goes through step by step to help you out.
Professor Reed is a great and easy going guy. If you show up to class and pay attention the class is easy to pass. Some of the test questions he gives are tricky but if you know the material the tests are fine. You can get a B in this class without putting much effort in.
Prof Reed is great! I had him for IS101 and now for IS301 and enjoyed both classes. There's no homework just occasional quizzes and the personal website project. Content is easy to follow and there are many lab days where he goes over exactly how to setup your website. He posts slides on canvas and you are allowed a page of notes on all exams too.
IS 301 is a boring class, but Professor Reed makes it bearable by mixing in labs, not always holding class the whole time, and providing unique commentary about his personal experiences working the field. The class overall is not difficult, but you will learn.
Not too hard of a class, just show up and do the work its not that hard. Prof. Reed is very knowledgeable about this field and you can tell he has a lot of experience in it. He also understands we are not going to bend over backwards for this class, just put in an honest effort and you will be fine.
Adam Reed is a great professor. He really cares that his students do well and he wants everyone to succeed. gracefully lenient with assignments if you explain reasoning to why they are late. lectures are a little dry but its just the material he has to teach for a class, makes his projects interesting. Show up to class and lab!
Professor Reed is a great instructor! His lectures are very clear and easy to follow. Attendance is mandatory but he makes class enjoyable. There is also a final project but he schedules lab time so most of the project gets done during class time. There isn't a lot of homework and he really makes sure his students are understanding the material.
Great professor! Makes a dull subject (at least to me) way more enthusiastic. Semester-long website project appears as if it may be challenging but if you go to all the labs you will never run into a problem.
Super straight forward. Not a ton of work, just do wait until last minute cause he doesn't accept late work.
Easily one of the best professors I have ever had. This class does have a project you work all semester on, but you knock out a lot of the requirements in the labs he has. He allows a full size note sheet for every test. Really cares for his students.
Adam Reed is a very straight forward professor. You go to class, you get the lecture, he provides the power point, and everything is well structured and organized. You never have to guess what's on the test and just about everything you will need to know for any assignment, he provides. Overall, recommended.
Prof. Reed is one of the best professors that I have had at UNR. While IS 301 is definitely harder than 101, he does a good job of walking you through it. The website project takes the entire semester and seems like a lot of work at first. But if you make sure to go to all the labs, it really helps it become manageable. Definitely take Prof. Reed!
Really enjoyed taking his class. He is a professor that truly know what he is talking about and it shows. He does not over complicate things and the tests are directly from the lectures. Very little homework besides the semester long project.
He was a great professor that respected us and graded fairly.
Though the material is dry, he tries his best to deliver it in a way that is easy to understand and relatable.
Professor Reed is a dedicated person. Attendance is important. He remembers every student's name and checks every class. Reread the chapter notes before the quiz, because the quizzes are specific. Reading the syllabus is very important.
Adam Reed is an exceptional professor to take for your IS courses. Lectures are direct and straight forward. All the work is laid out for the semester to do. Really helpful when it comes to questions. Good taste in music as well
Adam is my favorite professor for IS. I took him for both 101 and 301 for an enjoyable class experience. The only thing that changes between the two is 301 attendance is mandatory but in the end is just free points.
I've had Professor Reed for IS101 and IS301, and by far one of the best business professors I've had, considering I'm only a minor. His criteria is straightforward, his lectures are informational, and his lectures go even more in depth. I would take another class of his if I could.
Adam is a teacher that cares about his students quite a bit. His lectures will teach you stuff that you will need for the simulations and your projects. Show up and he will give you information that he doesn't post about.
Adam was a really great teacher who cares about the success of his students. You have some projects for this class but he makes them really enjoyable! Tests are easy and you get a page of notes
Dr. Reed is great, he really wants you to succeed and he gives you every possible chance to do so. He knows group projects are pointless as they normally result in one person does everything so he doesn't assign any, he gives multiple chances on homeworks and projects, and his exams are straightforward.
Explained all the material very well. Able to help with projects and made the requirements clear. Was not too difficult to understand either and great professor overall.
Great teacher. Simple class
He is very clear of what he expects and none of the assignments are very hard.
I took this class over the summer and really enjoyed it. He is really helpful if you need any assistance with the labs or website project and is really knowledgeable and passionate about the course material. Would definitely recommend.
This class was pretty easy and he was really helpful. He also keeps lectures interesting and relates the material to real life situations which is nice.
What a great professor, 100% would take again. I took his class in the summer for 5 weeks. There were quite a few things due but you have to work for the grade like every other class. He responds very quickly on emails, he tells you exactly what he expects and will help you get there. Lectures can get dry at times but is very informative.
Reed's a great professor. Took his IS101 First Session course and overall it was pretty easy. His lectures aren't too boring and he covers some interesting topics. I'd love for Reed to maybe survey his students at the beginning of class to avoid going over VERY basic Word and PowerPoint that can be easily skipped. Overall, great professor!
I thought he was awesome. You get out of class what you put into it. He is very upfront about grading and gives you every opportunity to succeed
Great guy, everyone should take this course! I am not a computer wiz, but now my fingers fly across the keyboard and I don't think twice. When my mom has any questions about technology, especially Excel, from inputing VLOOKUP to merging cell center, I can do it all in a blink of an eye. All in all, Professor Reed: you sure do rock.
The class ends up costing you some money. You have to host a webpage and he advises you use his domain so its easier to follow along. It costs $50 while others domain hosts are much cheaper. Lectures are dry Pretty easy
Taken during the summer so the content was condensed but assignments and exams are easy. Show up and pay attention and you should easily pass. He is very clear on what needs to be done and exams are straight forward.
Professor Reed gave great assistance throughout the whole course. Go to the labs and he will literally lay everything out for you. You get a full note sheet for every test. Just show up and dont be afraid to ask for help
I took Adam for both IS 101 and 301 and hes honestly the coolest teacher ever! He makes learning about technology and software so interesting. Plus, the classes itself are such valuable things to know as you go on in any career. Showing up to class is optional however, you literally do everything in class so you never have HW besides exams.
Took this class over summer so everything was condensed. We were allowed a single sheet of notes for the exams which was nice since the class was only 5 weeks long. Adam was very clear about his expectations and grading for the course. This class is no walk in the park but it's not difficult either.
The class was composed of three tests, a project in building a functional website, and three online assignments. All were clear in what was expected from these assignments. Plus he essentially walks through the project throughout the summer session Lectures were straight forward and he explained things in a way that was clear.
Adam Reed is by far my favorite professor at UNR. The material is a tad boring, but he does his best to make it interesting. He is caring and willing to work with you on any questions you have in mind. The exams are straight forward with no tricks, follow the PowerPoints. The website is a fun and challenging project. Take him!
I took this class over the summer. Lectures are dry, but that's because of the content not him. Attendance is "mandatory" but is only worth 5% of your grade. The actual assignments can be easy if you follow along in labs. The class project was my biggest struggle. He's very specific on what he expects and it is worth 27% of your grade.
Professor Reed is great. He's very straightforward with his expectations. Tests follow the power points and he walks you through how to do the homework assignments. One semester long project that takes some time to do, but as long as you stay on top of it and don't leave it for the last minute, it's simple.
Great teacher, very knowledgable in his subject. IF you have trouble he is very good at getting back to you.
Adam Reed is a great professor, the assignments are very clear but he is there to help, if needed. The labs are optional but go to all of them, it will make the main project much easier.
I really enjoyed taking Mr. Reed's summer IS301 class. The lectures are pretty boring, but he is really enthusiastic, so that helps. The only reason this class isn't an easy A is because the tests aren't just common sense. You need to study for his tests as you don't really do anything with the info he lectured about, it's just all in powerpoint.
I really enjoyed taking adam's class. Even though it is boring material, he made it easy to learn and fun to listen to. The tests are pretty average, you need to study to get a good grade on the test. Course work and projects are always fun and entertaining and teach you a lot about IS and web development.
Professor Reed is great, his has a lot knowledge about IS. If you need to take this class, i strongly recomand Professor Reed!
Just show up to class every day and youll get an A or B. He brings energy to lectures so hes not hard to listen to. He also walks you through everything so if you just show up you will do fine!
Reed is a very knowledgeable professor who knows what he's teaching although the lectures for IS 301 were pretty dry. Gives you all the resources available in order to pass the class with an A if you put in some effort.
He's one of the better professors at UNR and from all the classes I've taken with him he has not disappointed. His classes are pretty well rounded difficulty wise so I wouldn't hesitate to take him again for another class.
so easy
His lectures are so boring. The only times he goes over what to do for the website assignment which is worth a lot of your grade are on the two lab days. The class is pretty easy but he is monotone.
He has these lab sessions where he splits the class into four different sections or so and throughout the semester there were multiple times I didn't have to go to class for a whole week. It's a fairly easy class. He walks you through everything step by step and has his grad student assistant hold help sessions for the projects we have.
I Love prof Reed! I had him for IS 101 and he was great then as well. The class had 2 midterms, a final, and one big website project plus extra credit for not missing more than 2 classes. Real chill guy, very knowledgable and a good sense of humor. Lectures can get boring but you'll be fine on tests if you take notes, we were allowed notes 4 tests!
Great teacher and good grader. Not too hard on grading just don't mess up on submissions and go to labs and you'll get an A. I've never had another IS professor but I think hes really good.
Professor Reed is clear on what he expects in this class. The class project is 27% of the class grade, so put in the effort. He has labs almost every week to help students with the website project. Tests you get a full page of notes to use. Extra credit offered if you miss no more than two lectures. Overall good class and good professor.
Adam treats you like an adult, and with respect. This was refreshing and nice! The class is easy to pass, but takes work to get an A. Pick a topic you have a passion for and you will be fin on your projects!
Professor Reed is an amazing professor! I have taken him for two classes and I was never disappointed. He gives you every opportunity to be successful in his class. He is always willing to help if you go to his office hours or attend the labs. Definitely one of the best professors at UNR. Highly recommend if you need to take IS.
I had Adam Reed for IS 101. If you took that class with him, you can expect this class to be run the same way. He gives you many opportunities to ask him questions about your projects and will gladly help you. All work was very easily completed. Only thing that was kind of hard was the first test. Other than that great teacher overall!
Professor Reed is a very good and well respected professor. The class is broken up into labs and lectures and I think that it makes it a lot easier to handle because it is not a lecture every single day. The project that we do through the entire semester so it doesn't take too long to finish it up by the time it is due. Definitely take for 301.
Adam is great! Wants to see his students succeed. Good class, just dont procrastinate on the website project.
I simply loved Adam Reed's class. The main chunk of your grade is creating a website, but he takes you step by step on how to do it, it's an overall fun class, and I highly recommend taking him.
Adam Reed's grading criteria is extremely clear, and he makes the class as concise and to the point as possible (often getting out 15-30 min early). There is 3 exams which you get a full sheet of written notes for, 2 simple projects, and the major project class project worth a good chunk of your grade. Should be not an easy, but earned A.
Professor Reed is one of the coolest professors on campus. His class is clearly laid out and he sticks to it, so you always know what to expect. Attendance is mandatory on lecture days, not lab days, and there are only 4 assighments (one of which is a website) and 3 tests. All the tests are straight from the lecture slides and you get a cheat sheet
Professor Reed is a caring professor who is passionate about what he does. He is extremely knowledgeable about everything he teaches. The class consists of around 3 to 4 projects and 3 exams. He gives you weeks to work on the projects and the exams are based on his slides completely. Allowed one side of a piece of paper per for notes for the exam.
I had Professor Reed in both IS 101 and IS 301 and he actually inspired me to switch to IS as a major. He is a very good instructor and is clear about what is he looking for when he is grading. If there is a miscommunication in that, he is very understanding. Hope to have him in upper division courses!
Reed is a great professor. You get to use a note card on exams so make sure you do it. Without the note card the exams are pretty challenging but not bad. The website project is super fun. You make a website for a business idea you come up with. There's also an extra credit opportunity at the end of the semester if you don't miss too many classes.
Adam Reed's courses are fantastic. I took him for IS 101, and now for 301. For 301, there no actual homework except for two projects, which are very easy. The class project is the other big chunk of points for the class. Stay on top of it and complete the deliverables and you will be fine. He is very helpful with this project. 10/10
Hes a great professor definitely would recommend taking his class. For tests he allows one side of notes on printer paper. Make sure to go to class during lecture days since he offers extra credit at the end of the semester have to go to be eligible for it. Make sure to go to labs & stay on top of website project. Make sure to do the work on time
Professor Reed is a fantastic professor! He is always willing to answer questions that you have and is more than willing to give you advice if you ask for it. Make sure to attend class, as he provides extra credit opportunities at the end of the semester for anyone who has a high attendance rate.
Adam Reed is a great overall professor. He stays right on the syllabus all semester and does a great job of explaining things.
Adam Reed is a good professor, he is clear about the things he wants from the beginning. Not much homework, just 4 projects over the span of the semester. Aren't hard takes an hour or two to do, class project isn't bad if you do bits at a time. Open note test.
A cool, laid back but direct professor who definitely knows what he is doing and uses examples to help you understand. Hes known for being extremely tech savvy and playing awesome music at the start of every lecture. You know whats expected of you and hes always willing to help. Highly recommend!
highly recommended professor for IS 101 and IS 301! IS 301- 2 exams and a final, a few assignments, and a class project. easy to manage class. show up for lectures and attend labs (optional) to work on assignments and class project.
The course is easy, and highly recommend taking it with him. 2 tests and a final with handwritten notes on one side. There is a semester long class project and is easy if the mini-checkpoints are completed throughout the semester. The tests have 50 multiple choice questions. Attendance is not mandatory but if you want extra credit show up to class!
Clear guidelines and expectations. Fair grading standards. Extra Credit avaialble for attending class
If you pay attention in lecture and study the slides before a test youll do fine. You dont have to go to labs but I found them extremely helpful. Great professor and is super willing to help out.
Professor Reed is very observant of what his students needs and only offers a valuable experience. He does a great job communicating what he expects. The projects are fun and offer a lot of opportunity for learning. You get out what you put in.
Reed is an awesome professor, this is my second time taking him for IS. He gives a lot of projects, even though attendance isn't mandatory, I'd recommend going! The extra credit is worth it! He is great at reminding students when deadlines are coming up as well, and if you miss a lab he will not help or catch you up, so there's another reason to go
Professor Reed does a great job explaining the lectures and what will be on the exams. Only three projects and exams make up the grade so be sure to get them done in time! Professor Reed is easy meet with outside of class and goes out of his way to help.
Professor Reed is great! He really wants you to succeed in class. There are two smaller projects as well as a website project that you work on throughout the semester. He has very clear grading rubrics for all his projects. He lets you have a handwritten one-sided page of notes on exams. Offers extra credit if you don't miss more than two classes.
The class was great, just be conscious of deadlines. The tests were easy.
Professor Reed is an amazing teacher! He is lively and tells your exactly what you need for this class! He helps and is clear on what he wants and needs on the assignment. Great teacher and his class is one of my favorites!
Yall can get extra credit if you only miss 2 or less classes. So attendance is mandatory in that regard.
Super easy course if you go to class and do the projects on time. The exams are also easy since he allows a page of notes for each one. The semester long project seems daunting but theres check points to keep you on track. would definitely recommend taking him.
He's a good guy and he's very knowledgeable about IS. Every class is a lecture but because attendance is not mandatory you can usually figure out most of what he covered outside of class. There are only like 5 assignments the whole year.
Adam is AMAZING! His lectures are easy to understand, as well as his in-class application, he will guide you on certain IS concepts. Tests are not that bad, as long as you do and study the study guide he provides, you will be fine. Many fun and applicable simulations and projects, super useful even just for daily usage on Microsoft Office series.
I took it online, which wasn't the worst. You do have to stay up to date on your stuff. The midterm and final were tricky because a lot of what you actually do is necessarily correlated but you can pass it if you study, you just have to work for it more.
There are a few projects and labs that are due along with 2 tests. They are all fairly easy - so you should get an A. He is engaging and makes the lecture interesting. Attendance is not mandatory.
Professor Reed is extremely qualified to teach this class and is an expert in everything he teaches throughout this course. I would recommend taking his class.
He is a great professor. He knows what he is doing and will help you if you need it. Highly recommend taking him!
Personally I am not a fan of IS and IT and will always pay people to do it for me. BUT he made things clear, I also had him for IS101. He is to the point and thorough and if you pay attention and follow along you will pass the class and learn a lot along the way. You do have to purchase web domains, but he makes it cheaper for you as well.
Reed is a very good lecturer. He is energetic and you can tell he really cares about the subject and what you get out this class. IS is not an easy subject to teach but he manages to make the course interesting and engaging
Great professor. I am not the biggest fan of IS classes but he makes them fun and interesting. The exams are easy and you get a note sheet. The project is clearly outlined and he shows you how to do everything. The class is not difficult and as long as you do what is outlined you'll get an A.
Good teacher, lectures on what he wants you to know for the exams. Took this class over a 5 week summer semester, highly recommend it.
Super easy class, few projects and assignments. Tests are hard but you are allowed a cheat sheet.
If you do your work thoroughly, you'll do good in the class. Takes forever to grade things, so it makes it hard to know where you stand. Allows a single written page cheat sheet, I wrote down basically everything he said in his lecture videos and aced all 3 exams. Projects take a while but not necessarily hard. Doesn't deal with bs/late work.
One of the best professors I've had. Direct, clear lectures. Walks you through everything. Accommodating to personal circumstances. Organized, keeps everyone up to date so you don't fall behind. Tests are directly from powerpoints that he uploads. Allows us to actually learn the material and enjoy it rather than memorizing stuff. Note page allowed.
Took this class during Summer with COVID19 online instruction. He's super chill, caring, and professional towards IS. Took 101 with him too. Compare 101, 301 has deeper knowledge and consideration about IS, as well as more inspiration involved in this class. Adam will go over everything, follow his lecture & video, work hard and you'll be fine ^_^!
Literally one of the best teachers I've ever met in my entire undergrad experience. I've had him for IS 101 and now IS 301. He is clear with his expectations, organized with the course schedule, and clearly cares whether students pass his class. He is also one of the few teachers that I retained information from and learned with.
One of the best professors at UNR. He never wastes your time, and always provides you with valuable information. His expectations are very clear, and you will do well in his class if you follow them on homework and projects. Wish I could have him for every IS class.
Reed is the laziest teacher I have ever had. He doesn't teach his classes but instead posts lectures that he uses for IS201 and IS301. I have a problem with this due to the fact that he takes literal months to grade anything. What could you possibly be doing? Cause you're not teaching. You should have time. Doesn't deserve to be called a professor.
Most of your grade is determined by homework and projects all of which you have multiple attempts at. Also he always has an open lab where he will walk you through any questions you have on the projects. He has you make a website but if you follow the rubric he's a pretty easy grader. Overall solid choice.
Does not provide any feedback on assignments or reasoning for grades, very difficult to reach outside of classroom, and says he'll offer EC based on attendance but then does not offer any EC. Not a hard class. The 3 projects plus exams determine your grade, so don't wait around, he does not accept late work. Exams are mainly based off slides.
Hard to reach outside of class. Students constantly seemed confused and with questions and he was nowhere to be seen. Sure, the material wasn't that bad but it just felt like there was a lack of effort on his part. Oh, and you basically don't know your grade until the semester is over.
I did not like this teacher at all. He rushes through PowerPoints and is not willing to help outside the classroom. All he says is go back to the lecture videos. Very rude in emails. Would not take this professor if I were you.
This class had a handful of projects/simulations for Microsoft Word/Excel/Slides. They're super easy, you get multiple attempts, and the simulations tell you EXACTLY how to do it with no penalty to your grade. The projects tell you exactly what to do to fix your mistakes after you turn it in. Only 2 tests, the final was online for me. Good class.
Professor Reed makes this class much easier than many other professors. The website project isn't all that tough and the grading is super easy. Make sure to take at least one of the pop quizzes or he will deduct points.
Pretty easy class. If you need help you wont get any. Responds to emails late and takes forever to grade.
Great Professor. Make sure you do the homework and the project. DON'T wait until the last minute. Would 100% take again :)
This class was very easy if you followed instruction. class only meets once a week, attendance is making it to 1 out of 3 random pop quizzes.paper of notes for test, if you write everything from his slides on your paper you will get an A on Exams. Watch all the videos he sends out weekly for your website. And Don't email him he will never respond
Reed really knows his stuff. Class was super easy. Not mandatory to attend class. A few excel simulations and projects that were a breeze! The final project is creating your own website, but he walks you through it, so it's super simple. Exams are all multiple choice or true/false. Read through the PowerPoint slides and you'll be ok
I was nervous about this class but Reed actually made it fairly easy. Even the website project is very doable. The final was a little bit difficult but I think it was because I did not always pay close attention. He makes his expectations very clear which is nice
He was a helpful and kind professor and his coursework was not very challenging. I enjoyed the class and passed with a grade I was happy with, regarding the fact that I hardly ever studied, apart from the exams.
Literally one of the coolest professors I've ever had. Great guy, very understanding. If you put in the work his class is very manageable and fun. Would DEFINITELY recommend.
Pretty chill guy. As long as you complete the assignemnts you should be fine. The "pop quizzes" are just to mark attendence and are just extra credit points. He will give out 3 throughout the semester and they do not even affect your grade as long as you take just 1. Just do not wait till the last day to do assignments.
Great professor with clear and concise lectures.
Great professor! His class is project-heavy, but he has many resources available to ensure you succeed.
Easy A. Assignments are time consuming but not difficult. Learned fundamental excel, word, and PowerPoint skills. Attendance is not mandatory there is zoom and in person but he does pop quizzes that are easy extra credit and if you miss all of them you lose points.
Everything you need to know about the class are taught in the lectures. It can get boring but just pay attention and you should be good.
-He covers everything you need to know to pass the projects he assigns -Very clear instructions for the projects -Assigns a lot of extra credit opportunities
Attendance technically isn't required but he had three random pop quizzes for attendance and you had to be present for at least 1 or else you get points docked if you miss all 3. he gives a lot of extra credit and assignment has multiple tries so its easy to get an A. He is very helpful and class is entertaining.
A great professor. The only test I took wasnt to bad but it wasnt a breeze either. Building a website was actually really fun and the class is really useful.
Professor Reed is a very easy teacher and this course is easy to pass if you do your work on time. He provides 3 attempts for most assignments to get the grade you want.
Great Professor
Professor Reed is a very easy teacher, and this course is easy to pass if you do your homework on time since he allows three attempts. The "hardest" part of the class was making a website, and that's only because it was time-consuming, it's super easy and fun though, if you follow his instructions.
Records lectures everyday and has a zoom session if you cannot attend class in-person. W mans, would recommend.
This professor is very understanding when you don't understand a subject. He'll give ideas on how to use the programs that will be used. He also makes some lectures be help sessions for projects. Overall he is a helpful professor and makes his lectures be implemented into practice.
Three pop quizzes for extra credit. Make sure you attend class until you get at least one under your belt
Professor Reed is a great professor that is well-experienced in the field! His syllabus, expectations, and lecture content is very clear. He walks you through how to use Excel, Word, and Powerpoint by actively using the software program. Can be hard to reach via email but offers Zoom help sessions and sets aside time after lectures for questions.
Professor Reed was clearly very passionate about his job and it showed throughout his lectures! There are simulations and projects we had to complete throughout the semester, however they should be doable if you attend lecture. He is very helpful and provides you with extra credit opportunities.
Great professor. Plenty of time to do homework. Just make sure to read the syllabus.
Class isn't too difficult if you follow the syllabus and watch his videos. Canvas is a huge resource when taking this class and whatever question you have will be answered on it.
Adam Reed was a great professor who cares about his students and the lives they have outside of the class.
You can easily tell that Adam Reed is a very knowledgeable professor and excels in his field. However, if the course subject does not come naturally to you, lectures can be very draining. Professor Reed speaks with a lot of enthusiasm that easily drains your energy by the end of class.
Very good and explained all the assignments well
Professor Reed is one of the best lecturers at UNR. His experience really shows through in his teaching and he loves to give personal or real world examples for the topics you're learning. He lives and breathes business and information systems and you can really tell he is passionate about the courses he teaches. (Little to no homework)
Professor Reed is great is always there when you need help. He also make sure everyone is kept up to date so that you don't get surprised by sudden assignments. He also shares a lot of career options and provides us with zoon recordings and PowerPoints to review at any point.
There is nothing to worry about when taking this class.
Easier class, not too much homework, some projects but if needed help is always available. 2 online tests, not too hard. One website project that was time consuming but easy to complete.
I really liked Professor Reed. I thought that he was great teacher, everything is explained in class and he also posts videos that are extremely helpful for assignments He likes to have pop quizzes that are all extremely easy. If you have the chance to take him DO IT!
Mr. Reed is straightforward with his work and makes it very clear what needs to be done with the class. As long as you follow directions and pay attention to due dates you should be fine.
As long as you take the time in the lectures and understand his lessons you should find the class very helpful.
Professor Reed knows what he is doing and will always answer questions. While the class is graded on a few assignments, the format makes sense, especially for freshmen. The simulations are very frustrating and will take a while but honestly just power through. Put in your best effort and ask questions. You will get through the class pretty easily.
Challenging but helpful
Professor Reed is great!
Great teacher, very professional and highly educated in Information Systems. Teaches everything you need to know about Microsoft 365. Even with a large class, he is able to respond to those who reach out and is able to make connections inside the class. But overall Professor Reed is a great professor!
He knows what he is talking about and has a lot of projects that are not brutal. Cares about his students and you just have to stay active.
Professor Reed makes attendance optional but also has a lot of classes that are scheduled to be online. I found that this made it difficult to learn the material, but it's also a lot of pretty basic stuff that doesn't require a lot of explanation. He offers a lot of extra credit opportunities so there is no way to get a bad grade in this class.
Professor Reed gives you the materials to be successful however, he does not accept late work and had no exceptions. Fairly easy class but stay on top of your work as there are many large projects.
Start your projects that are given in advance so if you do have any questions you can go to him and ask.
Professor Reed is a great professor, and I would recommend him to anyone who needs to take this class! It is clear when the due dates are, so make sure you stay on top of your work and read the syllabus. The textbook and personal website are expensive but overall, this was a really good class.
Majority of the assignments were online but Professor Reed offers endless amounts of help & resources as well as office hours if you need extra help. He's very straightforward on what he expects from you as a student and works hard to teach in ways that every student can understand.
Professor Reed is a great instructor. He is very thorough in explaining the material and making sure you know how to use the software that is taught. He provides many opportunities to get help on assignments and projects.
Professor Reed really cares that his students understand the content of his classes an are able to use the skills they gain to be successful. As long as the student reads the syllabus thoroughly, the student has opportunities for extra credit or to bring up their grades. His class can be very impacting.
Professor Reed is a great professor! I recommend this class if you are willing to complete the assignments. The class does have 3 pop quizzes for attendance credit, and if you miss all 3 quizzes you will loose 50 points.
His class is pretty easy and can be done from zoom if you want. Professors classes are not the most engaging but the information given is thorough and useful.
He is a great guy. Attendance is not mandatory but there are 3 pop quizzes and you have to attend at least 1. The homework are useful and easy.
Professor Reed is influential in his teaching and makes you feel like you are actually learning the curriculum of the class in order to use it in your life
Reed is a great professor. Exams can be somewhat difficult but there is enough extra credit to get an A. Most of the assignments have walk through videos that are step by step, follow those for success.
Adam Reed clearly loves what he does. He knows every small detail of Information Systems and he was so clear and understandable. He gives out small projects for homework, but he gives you access to them very early and he also hosts zooms if you need to ask questions for help. One of the best professors I have had so far!
He was super great and his class was straight forward
Good teacher, dont always have to go, few tests, a couple projects
Few Tests, couple Projects, attendance not usually mandatory
I really enjoyed this course! Professor Reed teaches well and always makes sure to clarify when he might need to or explain certain things. Always made sure that we knew what we had to do which was nice. The course was easy and pretty fun with only really a few assignment and pretty simple projects that are easy to do.
Guys...if you show up to class (pop quizzes), and do the 5 or so assignments for the semester you should have no problem getting an A. The assignments give you multiple attempts to receive full credit, just make sure to do them. All courses at UNR should be run this way!!!!
Even if you have zero background in IS and Microsoft you can still succeed in this class because Professor Reed breaks it down for you to learn and understand and is always willing to help.
Professor Reed is an amazing person and the class was fairly easy, just go to class and do the assignment and you should be good.
Mr. Reed was a great professor. His class is well planned out and easy to follow. If you do all the work in the class you will end up with a good grade. He teaches us to make our Excel skills get better and they will if you pay attention.
great man, not that hard of class. You can find the simulations online.
Just a heads up when going into this course, it's fun and easy yeah, just make sure that you don't miss his random attendance quizzes throughout the year or you lose some points on your final grade and you also lose the opportunity for future extra credit.
Professor Reed is a great teacher for IS101. He is very experienced in the field. I had issues with the My Lab IT simulations which consumed a lot of time. The My Lab IT software that he uses is dated, and is difficult to navigate but you can google tutorials to get a good grade on those assignments. Overall I enjoyed his class.
Reed is a super chill professor. Attendance is not mandatory but he does do pop quizzes and if you miss all three you get deducted 30 points. He does offer a zoom option which is nice and offers zooms to help with any of the projects we work on. Get started on your website early and it won't be an issue later!
He was a great professor! Attendance wasn't mandatory except when he would give you a pop quiz. I would definitely take his class again. He had only one or two homework assignments a month. Overall, a great easy tecaher.
He clearly knows the topic thoroughly and seems passionate about the subject. He takes some time replying to messages, however his feedback tends to be clear-cut. If the time and attention is put into this class as a student, there will be no issues succeeding in the course.
Professor Reed was one of my favorite teachers I have ever had. He makes learning fun and is knowledgable and enthusiastic about the material. He is very kind and understanding and provides a lot of extra credit opportunities.
Throughly enjoyed this class. The lectures pair well with the assignments/homework and are able to be completed in a timely matter. Your efforts are awarded with extra credit by the professor.
Professor Reed really made learning about information systems fun and interesting. Everything is clearly outlined in the syllabus and if you show up to class and do the homework you should do well.
Gave clear instructions and taught at a reasonable pace .
He did a good job showing step by step on we use the several different topics and programs during the lectures.
Adam Reed really cares about his students. He has just about everything easily accessible online in case you cant make the lectures, and his lectures are quite fascinating and always interesting. He is one of the few professors that you can tell wants his students to succeed, but he makes them work for it.
Reed class is an easy if you pay attention and do the assignments. The assignment are somewhat long so it's something you can't wait to do last minute. He has pop quizzes for extra credit which is helpful. He has one exam plus the final. The class is fairly easy so recommend Reed for IS 101
Very easy if you go to class.
A great teacher. Allows your grade to be determined by your work ethic. Effort will get you a good grade.
The simulations are easy enough and the projects have yt videos for them
The homework assignments go well with the lectures. If you put in the effort you will receive a good grade.
Professor Reed has not only been my favorite college professor but my top 5 favorite teachers ever. He gives real and practical advice in and out of the classroom and truly has a passion for what he does. If you show up prepared and do exactly what he says, you will pass with flying colors.
Professor Reed is an amazing professor and cares a lot about his students. He explains things very well and makes sure we understand everything by doing step-by-step. His lectures are very helpful and offers a lot of extra credit. I found his course very awesome and I learned so much! I highly recommend taking this class.
Professor Reed was a great professor for Information Systems 101. No matter your prior knowledge with the content and subject material, you will be able to keep up if you do the work and projects as assigned. He will make little to no exceptions for late work either, even though there is plenty of time to complete all the projects and assignments.
Professor Reed was very personable and was very clear in his lectures and assignments. Everything has a clear rubric so you know exactly what to expect for all assignments. While there aren't too many assignments, everything he assigns is either a completion grade or allows you to redo up to three times (the two exams being the exceptions).
Overall this was a easy class. Beware of pop quizzes and large lectures so there's a lot going on. This class is also able to be taken on zoom when needed.
Professor Reed is a great instructor and I would definitely take one of his classes again.
Not a lot of assignments but they do take some time to do the projects.
Good homework setup and has optional zoom classes to attend for help regularly
Great teacher, pretty lenient with attendance, hard to fail class
Great professor, no complaints.
Its not hard just confusing if you know nothing about docs or excel but thats a personal problem lowkey. I would take him again he is very helpful and understanding and even held zoom meetings so you could ask as many questions as you wanted to!
The class content is pretty simple stuff and the work isn't difficult. The work can be a bit tedious and time consuming at times though. He has simulations you have to complete throughout class, two exams, and a final project where you build a website. Not difficult but definitely don't wait until last minute for the website.
Taught me everything I needed to know about excel
Great professor, easy to understand and makes it clear what we need to know to get a good grade in the class.
By far one of the easiest 300 level classes I have taken this year. He gives our clear instructions on what he wants on all of the assignments and even goes in to in depth detail what to do for each project/assignment. He also set up the class where you can pass the class even if you do bad on the exams which is amazing.
Very cool professor. Easy, fun assignments. Attendance was required but you could still pass with an A without showing up at all. Two exams, one project. Provides step by step instructions for project. Lectures are posted, you can attend via zoom as well. There were proctored exams and random attendance pop quizzes. I recommend taking this class.
There's only a few homeworks and they're all very easy. You just have to be in attendance for one of three random attendance checks. Tests are directly correlated with study guides. The main project, a website, is super easy but leave a few days available to do it.
Professor Reed is great, he cares about the success of his students and if you show up and take the class seriously, you'll get an A. Attendance isn't mandatory and his lectures are very chill, definitely get him as a professor, you won't regret it!
Laid-back professor/course. Makes grading super clear when giving work
This class is not very difficult. Very similar to his IS 101 class. The final project is to build another website. As long as you chip away at it through out the semester you will be fine.
Overall professor reed brings a strong energy to his class. The majority of the grade is a semester long website which is very easy if you actually watch his videos. Otherwise his tests are on the harder side but if you put more effort into studying than I did than you should have an easy A in the class. Everyone loves professor Adam Reed.
Professor Reed is brilliant when it comes to his knowledge on Information Systems. Class overall is pretty easy but make sure you study hard for the exams as they are a little tough.
IS301 with Prof. Reed is a great experience. At times some of the homework assignments feel like busy work, but ultimately they all help with the course material. This course is not too hard, but making a website can be a bit tedious at times.
Professor Reed is awesome. Everything Reed does is very clear-cut and black and white. He doesn't say anything confusing, he doesn't lag on emails, he is very reasonable, and he knows a lot about everything, so respect what he says and assume he's right. If you did poorly, its because you waited till the last minute, which he tells you not to.
Class is very laid back. Professor Reed gives students plenty of time to finish assignments and is very knowledgeable. Make sure to stay on top of the class project and not leave it to the last minute. Really enjoyed this class.
Reed is a great professor. He clearly outlines all of the assignments and they all build together for your final project. 301 is super interesting and taught me a lot of useful website knowledge.
Professor Reed is extremely knowledgeable in Information Systems. There are few assignments as the main project is worked through for the majority of the semester. The project videos are easy to access and follow. enjoyable class overall!
Reed is a great professor. He is very thorough with the information he provides and his instructions on assignments are always very clear. I had him for IS 101 and 301, and he's extremely educated about information systems and business.
Adam Reed is very knowledgeable in the subject he is teaching. His grading is very strict, but he sets guidelines for all of this assignments. There is no study guide for tests, they are all based on powerpoint he posts on canvas.
My guy is a great professor. If you are a CS major, this can be taken as a CPE elective. Take this class if you are a CS major!!!
This was my second year taking I.S with Reed and I would for sure again. There is typically class only once a week. There are only a few small assignments and the website, along with 2 exams and the final. Website takes up a lot but he gives very clear instructions on how to do the online labs for it.
This is my second time taking Professor Reed's class and I have to say he's an amazing teacher. He is extremely knowledgeable about the material and will answer questions to the best of his ability. The course is not difficult if you keep up with the work and exams are easy. I would highly recommend taking IS 301 with Professor Reed.
Main assignment was to build a website. Several deadlines throughout the semester, its not too bad. Handwritten notes are allowed on the exams, and there were a few extra credit opportunities. Lectures are mostly just powerpoint slides, and he didn't take attendance.
Great teacher and you should take him.
So this class, while having some lectures and material to learn, is heavily weighted on the semester long project of building a website for a startup business idea. Professor Reed is abundantly knowledgeable both in terms of what he lectures on, as well as all the ins and outs of website design, and is more than willing to assist when he can.
Great Professor, attend the lectures, do your projects, and you'll do fine in the class as well as the exams.
Professor Reed has streamlined this class to make it as easy as possible for people of all technological backgrounds. He tests based on his lecture slides and provides guided videos for the homework assignments. Overall he is a great choice for IS 301.
Great Professor! He gives very clear and detailed instructions on what he expects in the projects/ assignments. He holds class in person and opens a Zoom session at the same time to make his class more accessible.
Adam Reed is one of the most chill professors at UNR. He lists everything out as clear a possible for the whole year and gives informative lectures about his own lived experience in tech. As long as you do like 30 minutes of studying before the tests and complete all of the projects and website deliverables on time you should have no issues passing
Lots of the work can be done remotely, but attending the lectures was very helpful. Professor Reed was always willing to help his students and he was very informative.
Professor Reed is a very informative and knowledgeable professor. I have taken two of his classes now and have learned more about computers as well as different programs than I ever have before. All the things he lectures will be useful throughout your life. Would recommend taking his class any chance you do get.
stay ahead
There is a lot to learn in the class but as long as you pay attention and follow along it's easy. Tests are a little on the harder side but if you study you should be fine. Participation is not mandatory but definitely recommended to succeed. He will also offer extra credit on any given day for people who show up if there is low attendance.
Clear outlines for assignments and exams. Other than a few assignments, there is one major class project with deadlines throughout the semester, one midterm, and one final. Easy class if you complete the work assigned.
Clear outlines of what is expected in the homework and website. For exams be sure to pay attention to the slides he provides. This class was straight forward, I would recommend taking this clase if you get a chance.
He is an engaging lecturer. His assignment instructions are very clear as well. Overall, a straight forward class - just don't procrastinate.
Prepare for tests and stay on top of project and the class is extremely easy! Adam is solid
Best professor I have had at UNR, very understanding of life outside school and will help if needed but also making sure that you are actually trying.
Professor Reed is amazing and I would take him over and over again if I could! The class was structured to be done at your own pace and challenged many students time management skills. Most of the information is common knowledge at this point for anyone who has a computer or has been on the internet. Definitely don't wait until the last minute.
good professor
Great professor and is an expert in the field. There were only a few assignments and one final project for this class.
Professor Reed's class was very doable even for people who aren't super into business/IS. The tests are all multiple choice and based on info from his lecture slides, all of which he posts on Canvas. Attendance isn't mandatory and he puts Zoom recordings of his lectures on Canvas, but there are a few random, in-person extra credit opportunities.
Professor Reed's IS 301 class was pretty easy to take and the pacing of assignments and projects are really up to yourself to get things done on time. The content for studying is all available on the slides he posts, and the course structure is formatted clearly overall.
Objectives for assignments are very clear and easy to fulfill.
Awesome professor who has a lot of experience and stories about the course's topic. Very light workload throughout the class; so long as you put in an hour or two each week towards the major assignments, you'll be fine. Exams are straightforward and allow a page of notes.
Great professor who knows the material incredible well. The projects in the class are interesting and you actually learn a lot, at least I did. Only problem I had was his TA, who graded wrong and was not helpful at all.
I enjoyed taking Professor Reed's class this semester. He made the grading criteria very clear. There were no surprise assignments or tests, and he was willing to help if needed. The class project seemed like a lot, but was not difficult if you followed his instructions. I would recommend Professor Reed's class to anyone taking IS 301.
He is clear about his assignments. There is no surprises it is all straight forward
This is the second course I have taken with Prof Reed and I think he is a great professor. The class is straightforward and easy to follow as long as you don't procrastinate and stay on top of the due dates. He is a cool dude and I recommend taking his course!!
Great Professor! Very clear about the assignments and available for help outside of class. Highly recommend taking IS301 with Professor Reed.
Great class, just make sure to work on your projects ahead of time or else you will regret it!
Professor Reed is great. I have taken his class for IS 101 and 301, and both were really informative. Not super difficult material, just make sure to stay on top of the assignments and you will be fine.
Professor Reed isn't bad by any means, he's just really boring. The entire lecture he's just talking at you the whole time, but the assignments and exams are really really easy. If you want an easy A, definitely take his class, just be prepared to be bored out of your mind for an hour and 15. Also, skipping class will definitely make it difficult.
I loved him. You do simulations and projects online but have multiple attempts. You do a semester long website. He does not have class everyday. All his students love him and respect him.
Professor gives good instructions on big projects, and exams aren't too hard. Timed and proctored, but allows notes which helps. My biggest gripes are that he is really hard to reach via email, the TA is the one who grades everything, and the communication between them doesn't seem very good. Wouldn't take again, but could be worse.
You are graded on simulations, Microsoft projects, a website project and exams. The simulations and project are all pretty easy since it walks you through it. I definitely recommend showing up to class otherwise you will be confused. Other than that it is a really easy class.
This is one of THE easiest classes that you will take. Everything you need to get an A in this class is outlined from start to finish on day one. You can tell the professor love his job and does an excellent job at teaching and explaining all the information.
Reed is simply the goat of IS. He has a very well-structured course and is respected by everyone in business. The only issue with the class is that his exams are pretty comprehensive and quite a big jump from IS 101. Regardless he is the only professor you should take for this class. Do not start your website project late, it will haunt you.
Professor Reed is very knowledgeable about Information systems and a great professor. He's very understanding and will help you as long as you reach out. Not a lot of homework but a few big projects throughout the semester. Attendance not mandatory but definitely recommended because he directly goes over what will be on the tests.
This professor has a solid course structure and is respected by students. The exams are quite challenging, but staying on top of the assignments and projects is key to success. While communication with the TAs could be improved, the content is engaging and you'll walk away having learned a lot.
Reed is a well-structured, respected professor. Exams are comprehensive, but with practice and tools like ChatGPT, Quizard, and unstuckstudy ai, you can ace this class. Stay on top of assignments and you'll do great.
The web project is very important - go to the help times a few days before it's due to check for bugs in your site. Study for the 3 exams. They are very point dense because you aren't graded on many things. But he cares and is a good professor. Take him for 101 and 301!
Every class he is either directly saying or insinuating his heavily right views on students as he teaches. This is supposed to be a business technology class, not a business technology conspiracy theory class. I want my money back. Easiest 300 level class at Nevada.
Talks a lot. I was able to get away with only showing up for exams. He gives 3 trys on homework to get 100%. Take advantage of that and stay on top of the work. Not a lot of work anyways. Study for those exams because they are difficult if you are unprepared.
Posts clear guidelines for every single assignment and posts videos for all of the major projects that basically walk you through the entire thing. Very insightful, tells you what's going to be on the exams and explains things very well. I know absolutely nothing about excel but I know a lot more than when I first started.
Gives really long and useless work that doesn't help understand material whatsoever. Lots of busy work and did not learn much.
Really great class. Only needed two 100 dollar programs and my only issue was that the assignments were not put in as assignment in Canvas they were only put in as pages so they didn't show on the due soon page. And they were sometimes due on random days so that was my only issue but otherwise it was a really great class.
Only graded on 4 assignments, which makes for unnecessary pressure to do well on Exams. Nice guy, but he'll deflect everything to his Grad Assistants. Exams are graded quickly, everything else will take a couple weeks at least. Lectures are monotone, but slides are available on WebCampus if you miss class. Unclear expectations on website project.
Attendance isn't mandatory; he uploads every lecture online for review. Step-by-step tutorials are provided on how to do literally every assignment. The only reason you would not pass this course is by failing to study whatsoever for the exams or neglecting the assignments that you have a how-to guide for. Great professor, Easy A if you try at all.
I took 101 and 301 with Professor Reed and they were both equally great classes. His expectations on assignments/class projects are clear and he is approachable outside of class. His lectures are interesting and applies them to his experiences working in IT. As long as you do the work and follow his instructions you will get an A.
80% of the time, you only go to school once a week due to the online project lab. Clear instructions on the test, projects, etc. 3 exams, 1 page note, 1 side only, but kind of hard. Homework, projects, etc., are easy points. PPTs are the only study guides for the exams. Those will be provided in the student's file.
This is such a great class. There are only a few assignments you're graded on and then 3 exams. If you pay attention to the lecture material (you also get notes) the exams will be very easy. There is a big project, but you work on it all semester and it's actually fun! Professor Reed is great, I've had him before this class, and I'd take him again.
Probably the easiest class I've ever taken. There's videos for simulations and Microsoft projects to help if needed. Professor Reed is super helpful, just go to his office hours or talk to him after class. There are 2 midterms and a final that follow the study guide, no curve but some extra credit. Very little homework outside of class.
Instructor Reed is a very knowledgeable and know how to teach. There's a project that's about making a website, which is very fun and not difficult. As long as you study the lectures and the slides, the exams are not hard. Overall, I recommended Reed for the IS 301 instructor, take him if you have a chance.
Brother was locked in and knew exaclty how to teach a class. Graded super fairly and was just a great guy overall. 10/10
Super nice and engaging, I find the work to be difficult sometimes if you don't pay attention or just don't understand. Though that has nothing to do with this professor, in my experience. He allows you to watch the lectures via zoom which is nice if you're out of town, or sick. Not too much work, just larger projects, and tests aren't too hard.
Professor Reed is a great professor and the class was relatively easy. There were 6 assignments on My Lab and then a project due towards the end. Lectures are boring, and I didn't need to go to class every day. My only thing is that it is hard to get ahold of him or TA, he was late to office hours by quite a bit as well. Overall great professor.
I respect Professor Reed because he makes this class very easy to understand. We use a lot of excel in our learning and he makes it easy to understand with his videos that he uploads from the class. He records every lecture and also uploads videos to complete his one project. Such a great professor and he really knows what he's talking about.
Professor Reed is highly knowledgeable & a great lecturer. His course is a lot, but over the semester it's manageable. Gives lectures on slides & allows 1 page of notes for tests, but tests are harder than they seem. Tons of projects/assignments due throughout the course, but he makes them easy to follow. 1 group project at the end. Great professor
literally said “do not email me” on the first day of class, TA didn't respond to any emails over the year (from me at least), still hasn't personally graded anything from september by the end of semester, confusing tests, and was honestly pretty rude any time i tried to talk to him personally. also he's not rlly helpful
Don't need to attend lectures, not required, and a lot of the content is self-explanatory. Not much homework, but just use the study guides to study prior to exams. Attend the "labs" for the Excel projects to get 100%, he goes step by step.
Adam is a strict grader on projects, but provides great resources like step-by-step tutorials and office hours. Attendance is optional since lectures are live on Zoom and recorded on Canvas, but I recommend attending for the exam tips he shares. If you use his resources and put in the work, you will succeed!
Professor Reed is such a dude. The assignments are always understandable as long as you keep trying- and the attempts are pretty much unlimited. Just for his exam review sessions, and it's pretty easy. One big project, and as long as you follow the rubric, you're golden.
Outstanding experience, he is super organized and makes is very easy to complete all the assignments.
