AWESOME! Rubin rocks. he went to Bryant and has had 10 years real world experience. likes to joke around and have fun during class. sometimes he does voice impressions which may seem weird, but it makes the class more bearable.

adam soooo sexy!!!!
very easy..., great person with teachings from the real world, tests are very easy, just read the terms in the book!!too easy, can't get lower than a B
Adam is the MAN. I look forward to that class every MWF. Memorize the vocab and BS the papers and actually work on and DO your Business Plan. You'll get an A. Isnt easier than it sounds.
Adam is the man! I love him so much, he's so hot and so funny. I loved going to his class, and he made it so much fun. He has had real word experience and often talks about it, which makes class really interesting. If u have the chance, get him!
SOOOO funny. Keeps you interested w/ voice impressions and always makes refernces to beer, weed or sex. Good guy, not too hard. Just know the terms you'll be fine.
Great guy, very cool, very funny, reminds you of Johnny Carson. Class is good, you get out of it what you put into it.
Rubin understands what students need to pay attention and learn. has great personality, scores low on BS meeter.
His class is very fun, I actually look forward to going to it every day, but he is a real dick when it comes to greading. Impossible to get an A in the class (said it himself). Doesnt realy teach the subject and looks for little things to lower papers.
First off, despite what other reviews said, he is not hot/sexy (my roommate says he looks like a bird) but he is a cool teacher. Always entertaining. Hardass about grading and attendance. Group TCPs are pointless. Tests are not too difficult.

this guy may have been good in the past, but he has changed now. he is mean and hard, grades are unfair, tests are not funny. take someone else
Apparently he was easy last semester. Anything but the case this semester- he is a VERY hard grader. Nice guy, but incredibly difficult to please in terms of grades.
Really funny, great teacher. I had a lot of fun in that class, but you still learn. Not the easiest grader ever, but still take him. And he does NOT look like a bird
GREAT guy. hilairious, wicked nice and very knowledgable in terms of experience. it's obvious that he really cares about his students. definitely take his class b/c you'll always leave in a good mood, i promise.
Quizes can be hard, there is a lot of reading!
Is this what taking a prof has come down to...how hot he/she is. Well then, you will love Adam. He's funny and he's also the yoga teacher. Flexibility, nice!
He keeps the class interesting and his class is a lot of fun because of his crazy antics.
assignments are rare and easy, quizzes are easy, wicked cool guy, shoots the**** with ya in classtake him for an easy grade
Rubin is my fav. teacher here. He keeps it interesting, you learn alot, and he is just a really great guy. There is some reading but its not hard if you put some time to it. I love this guy.
Rubin is probably my least favorite teacher. He swears way too much, thinks he is cool, and likes to be really stupid about details. One of the worst things is that he doesn't teach. You have to read the book, take a quiz, and do random stuff in class. Rubin also tries to do too much stuff.
Rubin is very cool, yeah he's kinda hard with the grading, but it is college. He swears and tells stupid jokes, but he knows his stuff and he actually cares about the students, it's unlike any of my other classes. I never thought I'd say this, but I look forward HIS class.
This guy rocks. I've learned more about real world business here than in any other class. He keeps it real.
He brings a different twist to the class and by making the class interesting we learn much more. Things which interest you, you will be much more likely to work harder on. Great teacher!
RUBIN ROCKS! Just because you don't read the book don't hate on him. The Man is funny! SHORT but funny, Don't just read, try to understand the information.
benwa!!! tests are kind of hard and he's not nice grading papers but you still manage to get a good grade no matter what those grades are- just participate
hes fun and makes the class worth going to....
Rubes is the man...thats all i can say...let me put it this way, i failed the course with a different professor my first semester, then went on to get an A- in his class...he keeps u interested because he's insane, and he's been in the real world of business so he knows his stuff. BENWA!!!
Some1 once said he looked like a bird...I just dont get it. He is an awesome professor and keeps ya interested in the material. As long as u try, ull do great. He cares about his students and is a really nice guy. He's funny and shares real life business stories with ya. Take his class. Hes the best
Ruben is the man. class isnt bad as long as you do the work. hard not to get a decent grade in the class. i highly recommend taking his class
Exciting class, he's crazy but its an easy way to learn. Quiz's are relatively easy if you read the chapter, but then u take the quiz again with ur group and average it out so u end up doing really well. Good class over all, I recommended him to everyone for next semester! I have an A easily
best BUS101 teacher eva! classes r a blast and all u have to do to make him laught is say "benwa" than just look at his face
Rubin is the man..best business teacher because he makes class fun. Quizzes can be challenging but usually not bad at all.
Halarious classes. Every day is a stand up routine that he perfects throughout the day. Makes you wanna learn even though the course isn't great because of a curriculum "transition". Lots of work, sometimes hard, but it can be fun.
Best teacher ever!! Dont miss out on this class.. its like free entertainment but you learn so much out of it. I learned more from him in his class than from all of my other classes combined. Business plan sucks to write but you get through it if you have a decent team. Take Rubin if you can!
He is clear, funny, and has a good grasp on what he is talking about. Some of the assignments are graded harshly, but the easy quizzes provide a balance.
Great guy, easy class. Is very clear and tells you exactly what he wants. Quizzes are relatively straightforward (almost strictly vocab words) and you get to take them in a group. Business plan is very involved but is doable. Just keep up with the biz plan and read a little, you'll get at least a B+
not as good as u all say he is. tries to make up for being a loser in high school by being "cool" in front of us. sometimes tries to be funny by making a fool out of someone in class. and no it wasnt even me it was someone else...didnt really look forward to his class
honestly this guy sucks. his class is a waste of time and his quizes are not easy. the are unclear and i swear he just makes up questions to put on them. they have nothing to do with the chapter. hes not funny just annoying. i took him bc every1 said on here he was good but i hated this class.
He was the best professor I ever had at Bryant. As long as you do the work you'll do well. Everyone who didn't like his class probably didn't go or didn't do the work.
OK, I don't get you people. Yeah he's weird, but that's why he so good. He keeps it real in the class. Saying he sucks and that he was a looser in highschool, that's some harsh words about a man who actually cares about his students. He's not perfect, but he's way better than most.
The guy's a clown. If I wanted to be entertained, I would watch Seinfeld. Does not respond to emails and is more interested in stories. I was disappointed. Yoga in biz???
He's a crack up, but isn't helpful with questions and does not respond to emails. More substance and less fluff.
If I wanted yoga I would have signed up. Seems to have issues with females in class. Waz' up, Adam!?
The course was less than I expected. He's very funny, but poor prep. and test review. The BizPlan seemed more like busy work with no real feedback. While our group did well I think alot of us just wanted to be entertained than learn.
Rubin was an OK professor. I learned a lot without actually feeling like I crammed everything in.When it comes to the actual business plan and assignments, he was very vague and unclear. Although I did well in class, I got more feedback from the students on assignments than the professor.Definately an easy class to sit through, very entertaining.
This guy is THE man! He is always available for extra help, and he makes class FUN. No one seems to miss his class on purpose because he is so entertaining. There is a lot of group work (outside class), but it's a great way to get close to some new kids and have a fun time in the process. TAKE RUBIN. A+++

I think he has ADD because he is off the walls, which is cool because i dont fall asleep

rubin's very nice and class is funny as hell. quizzes are taken before he goes over the material, which is kind of annoying, and the business plan is basically just busy work even though it's made out to be this major project. in general not a bad class though.
Rubin is the man plain and simply. He gets the work across successfully without boring the snot out of anyone. Good jokes man, keep it up.
This guy is wild, does not give alot of work, teaches the subject, absoloutly hilarious, and i dont even know what else to put other then im havin a helluva time in his class. If you get the chance, definatly take this guy, he will definatly be a class to look forward to.
fun guy
Rubin is hilarious and probably the best professor I've had so far. Do the reading he assigns, and the MC quizzes are easy. Make sure that you notice the stats/percentages when you read, because he likes to quiz you on them. Overall, you will learn a lot and look forward to going to his class.
Rubin is probably the best teacher i've ever had. He actually got me interested in business, something i never thought would happen, and he's absolutely hilarious. He actually knows exactly what he's talking about, and he knows how to relay it to the students in a simple and fun way. DEFINITELY take him if you can.
Good Guy, good class, take him if you can
Rubin is a good guy. He's funny and his class is a very relaxed atmosphere. Sometimes I feel like he spends too much time joking around, but overall he's good. Be prepared to work your ass off on the business plan, that sucked
clown likes himself did not care for the guy
Be careful,... seems really cool the first few weeks,... then gradually becomes a dick. If your business plan is not the best in the class, you are pretty much looking at a B best. Explodes over nothings RANDOMLY, and as class goes on, you really are afraid to laugh cause you don't know if he's serious with his "outbursts" WOULDN'T RECOMMEND
hes a jerk, quizzes pretty easy, but a lot of work in the class, and not a alot of help on business plans, just a lot of ripping your business plan ideas apart so you always think hes gonna fail you
He's a really funny guy. He's willing to help whoever needs it and makes the class fun. Definatly wild and crazy but also cares that you do well. Just respect him and he'll respect you. I would take him over and over again.
rubin is the mann.. his class is rediculous.. hes so funny.. deff makes it worth getting out of bed at 8am. he knows what hes talking about and makes learning fun
Rubin is the****. If you have to take any class at 8 am hes the one to take. He jokes but knows his stuff. makes the class extremely interesting. quizes and tests are not easy but very manageable
awesome guy and genuinly cares about his students hes so funny and you can joke around with him too. i loved him
This class is not a give away but it is worth the hard work you inevitably put in. Rubin tells you like it is, no sugar coating, and thats what makes him one of the most honest and straightforward teachers I have ever met. If you get the chance take Rubin while he's still here. You wont regret it.
best prof @ bryant university....take him while you still can
hard class but rubin is funny
the business plan makes up pretty much the whole class. final sucked. but rubin is the man, really honest and funny teacher.. it's a shame he's leaving because he made business fun for me even though it could have been really boring.
he's a great guy that knows his stuff. This class is tough, but if you give it your all you'll do fine.
The textbook sucks; doing the business plan sucks; but Rubin is awesome. He is absolutely hysterical. Once in while the class would just break down for 5 minutes laughing. For his quizzes and the final, basically know your vocab. Absolutely great!
Pretty tough class, but worth the time and effort. Rubin knows his **** & will make you work for your grade. My suggestion: Be a team leader, the project is worth more than a third your final class grade, but more importantly if you show him that you worked hard as a leader, he will help your final grade, I should know. Also really ****in funny.
Awesome teacher, but demands a lot. Fairly easy and as long as you do the work and keep up you should breeze through the class.
Rubin is probably the best BUS 101 teacher here. The class itself is based on reading the chapters and the big project, so there is a lot of out of class time needed for this class. In class, he keeps you entertained and has good presentations and random business stories he covers that are cool. Would definitely take him again.
He is the man. He teaches you real life applications, instead of textbook definitions. You will learn so much in his class. take him for any business class if you can.
GREATTTTTTTT teacher. hes extremely entertaining and i would take him again in a heartbeat...awesome class.
One of the greatest teachers i have ever had. His humor helps you pay attention, and he teaches you what you need to know. I wish i could have him again. He wore a hot dog hat one day to class.
I'm so glad that I was able to have Rubin as a teacher. He's a great guy, and everyone who doesn't have him is missing out. He gets extremely excited when he talks about marketing; if he taught marketing I'd switch minors.
good test!
I had Rubes for honors intro to business and he was the best. Not only is he hilarious, but he teaches you things you actually need to know about business. You must take him before you graduate.
He is one of the best professors at Bryant. he's a really funny guy and always makes class really engaging. He's the type of professor that really relates to students so we really learn. You'll have to work for your grade, but he's very fair and gives extra credit if you try really hard
Rubin is amazing. His personality makes you want to go to class. His methods of teaching are engaging and you learn without realizing it. 20 minutes of the first class was pretty much a standup routine..guy is hilarious..you need to take him before you graduate..Having Rubin is a must!!!!!!
This man is by far my favorite professor... ever. If you have a good business team, the sky is the limit and Rubin will help you get there. I aced the class and Rubin gave out information that I can take with me when I go on into the business world. His class is entertaining, he's clear, and his quizzes are fairly easy. Take him! He's awesome!
I pretty much hate business, but Rubin made that class interesting. He's the best professor I've had so far. He uses a lot of humor in his teaching. I absolutely love him! Definitely take!!
Rubes is my home boy. I was CEO for my business team but was left by all the other members half way through the semester when they decided they didn't like my idea. Rubin really supported me and helped me successfully ace my plan single handedly. He is absolutely hilarious and worth every bit of the struggle that his class presents.
Class is interesting and i enjoyed it. Rubin is a very funny teacher and I feel I learned a lot from him, more than just about business. Although he isn't one of the easiest teachers, and he does take his job seriously, he does want his students to do well. His class is a lot of work but i would highly recommend him to anyone wanting to learn.
Amazing professor and one of the nicest human beings I have ever met. Unlike many other professors out there Rubin is incredibly helpful and greatly cares for all of his students. Hilarious to boot. Take him.
Rubin's the man. Makes class enjoyable and fun to learn. Gladly take again.
Took him for honors BUS101. He's hilarious, cares about his students, and makes sure you get the grade you deserve. Just put in the effort, and you'll love his class.
This guy is the best professor I've had. If you're taking BUS101 you have to take Rubin, he's the man.
oookay, the last two comments are somewhat true. I mean hes not God, but he thinks hes just God's gift...please professor remeber ur not that at all. Overall, not a bad teacher , but one class was enough for me. Ruben does hate athletes, dont take him if you play sports,he'll hate you.
The one amazing thing about Rubin is that he knows college students like to party and accepts it. His class is do-able very hung over..you will still laugh..but make sur eyou dont puke..
Great comedian, less of a teacher. If you want to have fun in class take him. He does quizzes once in a while, that can be tricky but the rest is easy.
Loved this class! A lot of work and expects the best but it was well worth it. Really the only class I WANTED to go to freshman year! He makes it interesting but DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS IF YOU ARE SENSITIVE! He likes to joke and can be crude. For those people who can appreciate his sense of humor, you will be laughing all class.Cares about students.
Amazing, funny guy. He can be a bit of an ass at times, but he is always humorous about it. He is passionate about what he does and sincerely wants his students to succeed. I always looked forward to going to his class because he always made everyone laugh.
I realllly hated his class, but it was more because of the way the class was designed and the work we had to do. He's a really great person who truly loves what he does. You have to have a good sense of humor to make it through some of his raunchier lectures, but otherwise he is a great guy.
Best professor at Bryant.
A great teacher! His classes are 50 minnutes of stand up focused on business, I really enjoy his class. His jokes are really funny, especially if you like Monty p/ family guy. He's a great teacher and he's really upfront about what he expects. One of the best teachers I've ever had. But he needs more lemon pledge.
Rubin is the best professor at Bryant. Disregard the comment that says he doesn't like athletes because I am and he doesn't hold anything against me. Take Rubin if he comes back next semester! He is a great guy and really makes class interesting with his jokes even though they can be dirty.
Legit best teacher I have had in a while, clear lectures, fun atmosphere, just a great class. Business project is hard but really interesting. Helped me learn a lot about business i didn't know before. He loves teaching and loves his students. Take him. You wont regret it.
Rubin had to be the BEST professor that I had freshman year. He is very funny, he knows the material very well and he can relate very well to his students. The class has work to it but if you take Rubin he will help you alone the way.
One of the best introductory, business course teachers i have ever taken. His approach is very practical as he always links concepts to the real world. However, he cannot be taken for a ride and requires that you complete your work. work level isn't much. But reading is required prior to classes. he even helps you in quizzes and exams!
Extremely funny lecturer. Don't take him if you are easily offended because he likes to joke a lot. At the same time he does teach a lot of useful information. The business 101 project is a ton of work, but unavoidable no matter who you take. It is more work to take Rubin because the standards are higher, but most of the students care more.
Every student at Bryant needs to take BUS 101. Rubin is the best BUS 101 teacher on campus. However, that's because he is funny and a decent person, not because he is a fabulous teacher. Rubin enjoys making jokes and treats class as more performance than lecture. This can be good except you pay more attention to his funny faces not the material.
Good teacher, but kind of a huge jerk. He plays favorites, so make sure he likes your team. If he doesn't, he'll pick on you constantly and make it really difficult for you to get a good grade. You need to read and pay attention in class to do well on the quizzes and exams. If you do, you should be fine.
Professor Rubin is the best professor i've ever had. he is amazingly funny and teaches the material in an effective way, making sure students really understand it. the quizzes can be hard at times so you have to make sure you actually read the chapter beforehand. i really recommend taking him you will learn a lot and laugh will doing so
One of the best professors at Bryant. He is a great guy who really cares about his students. He makes class enjoyable with funny jokes and stories. Sometimes his jokes can seem harsh but he means well, so don't take anything personally. Read the textbook and manage your time and you'll do well. Absolutely take him.
Class is really easy and he is a great teacher. Super nice guy and he really loves teaching. He wants to help his students as much as he can. As long as you read the book and pay attention in class you will do fine. Business plan is tough, but very rewarding. I highly recommend taking either Rubin or Greenan for this class
I had to work to pass. Bus plan took a lot of time too. I learned alot and didn't want to miss any classes because of the way Rubin teaches.
LOVE RUBIN! The Business Plan and the other presentations are challenging, but he is totally worth it. Quizzes/Exams are all online, they aren't that hard as long as you've read the chapter. He is so funny and down to earth. He makes class interesting and fun. Take him, you won't regret it.
Rubin is a great guy. His tests are easy despite his projects being a lot of work. You must read your textbook if you want to do well though. I highly recommend his class.
Rubin is a great guy. I would recommend taking him if you have the choice. This particular course requires a lot of work, so definitely don't fall behind. His quizzes are easy, and his lectures are interactive and interesting. If you have questions about assignments, please ask them. He is well-known for being unclear about assignments and duedates
Rubin is hit or miss. Some people love him and some hate him. Personally, I thought he was a good professor. Lots of work so don't put off the business plan..you WILL regret it. He's a funny guy and I would recommend him
Professor Rubin will be one of the most inspiring and interesting teachers that you will have. He is funny and well educated on the information. The workload is heavy, but that is the same throughout all freshman GFOB classes. He wants to see his students exceed and do well in the real work. He is definitely worth taking!
hilarious guy! kind of a tough grader but the class is great! flies by because he is so interesting! do not get behind on work because you will regret
Such a funny guy. Very nice and down to earth. Make sure you follow the directions on all of the projects. The business plan is a lot of work and he knows it and grades accordingly. The only bad thing I'd say is that sometimes he takes a while to grade stuff. I wish i could take him again.
He is helpful and wants his students to do well! Funny and nice guy, truly knows the information and is passionate about teaching
When I hear the word disrespect, Rubin comes to mind. I have never despised an instructor so much in my life. He will lie to you and deceit you
Rubin is a great professor. The relationship you will have with him is professional but you feel like he is really on your side. I like to think he is like a superhero in a purple leotard
Awesome teacher and even better person. I sat in the back corner and laughed the whole semester but still learned a lot and feel more inspired after having him as my professor. I am honored to be able to say he was my teacher. Purple leotards and super powers move more hearts than one can imagine.
Rubin comes off as a easy, laid back teacher but when it comes to grading the major assignments of the class, he is tough. He expects a lot out of his students and can sometimes be tough- especially with anything involving the business plan. He is known to tea you apart during class presentations however, great teacher and a great guy.
Professor Rubin is a great guy. He may come off as a dbag but once you get to know him he is an awesome, helpful, and enthusiastic teacher. You will never be bored in his class as makes jokes constantly. The class is very busy work orientated, so be prepared... overall great teacher.
Hysterically inappropriate jokes. He is engaging and makes class productive. Class time always goes by quickly. That being said, you will work more than you have ever worked in your life. He wrote the GFOB syllabus for the department. The other professors don't follow it because it's an unrealistic work load. Prepare to drown in work.
Really awesome professor. Good jokes and keeps the lectures interesting and engaging. Make sure to read the Chapters he assigns and keep up with the assignments on the syllabus. Not too bad of a workload if you don't wait until the last minute for everything. Extremely helpful if you go see him during office hours and is just an overall nice guy.
It's all group work except for his 10 quizzes and you need to study for them. The quizzes are NOT just vocab, he wants you to actually learn and understand the material. He grades really tough. Almost impossible to get an A unless your a SUPER SUPER try hard. He's the hardest GFOB teacher because he basically created the course. Don't slack off!
Attendance is optional but make sure to go. You learn a lot during his lectures and he will help you out a lot with your business plan if you visit him during office hours. A really funny and nice guy.
Rubin is a great man and an even better professor! GFOB is required and he is fully aware, but he makes the classes fun, mainly through humor. He knows his stuff and genuinely cares about his students. He is happy to help anyone that comes to see him. All in all, take him because you will have fun and you will also learn about business.
I love Rubin. You don't need to show up to class all the time just read the book and you will know what is happening. He is always there if you need help and gives honest feedback. Two tests a year, super simple. He encouraged me to follow my dream rather than do what makes money.
Rubin makes this class enjoyable, however there is a lot of work. He's really friendly and loves to crack jokes. Really knows what he is taking about and brings great real world examples. Definitely the one to take for GFOB.
Makes his class like an hour long stand-up routine, actually treats you like a college student and says whatever he wants to. Super knowledgeable on so many topics and i wish he taught more classes because I would love to have him again. If you dont take Rubin youre screwing up.
Adam is hard, but classes are fun. Has a lot
Overall a good professor. His syllabus was off so he was never clear on what was due. He's a good guy, but not a very good teacher. Don't be afraid to ask questions, he will always give a clear answer.
Rubin is the man. the course is a lot of group work and he makes you work for your grade but the work is nothing too crazy. Totally would take him again.
Rubin is the absolute man. He makes going to class fun and practically gives you the quiz questions before with Wiley Plus. The only part of the class that is somewhat challenging is the business plan. As long as the numbers add up and it looks like you put in some effort, your grade should be at minimum in the B+ range.
Funny but super serious are random times
Professor Rubin makes an hour and fifteen minutes of non-interesting course work fly by. He keeps the entire class entertained during lectures. He also truly cares about your grade, and gives plenty of slack and assistance where it is due. He is my favorite professor that I have had in college, and you will leave his class educated and entertained.
Adam Rubin is by far one of the best professors at Bryant. He is funny, inspirational, and really cares about your grade. Class is never boring so you actually look forward to showing up. He isn't difficult but isn't too easy either. He is the best GFOB professor, no debate. The class itself isn't hard but requires quite a bit of work.
Rubin is an great teacher and in class discussions are very interesting. He is great at conveying information to students so they understand. His syllabus is out of order so you sometimes get confused on what is due, and the work load is very excessive. You will have to work for it, but he cares about you and will give help. Best teacher I took
Rubin is the man. His lectures are often times hilarious while remaining very informative. He manages to pack a lot of content into an hour and fifteen minutes. The class, in general, requires an incredible amount of work, so be prepared for that and choose your group wisely.
Professor Rubin truly is a great man. He is very helpful throughout the transition to college and really wants to see his students thrive. The business plan project is a lot of work, but he grades it largely based on how hard you worked. He has a great sense of humor and loves to crack jokes during class. GFOB is required, so might as well enjoy it
Overall, Rubin is a great professor but the course itself is a lot of work. He is very critical when presentations aren't done the way he wants it. Most important thing in this class, pick a good group because your grade depends on it. Lots of pop quizzes and tons of grades that are put in (out of 1000 points).
Rubin is the absolute best. Cares about everyone and wants to see you do well. The man practically lives for the business plan and holds you accountable for everything. Tells the funniest stories and always ties them into class lectures.
Mr. Adam Rubin is one of the greatest men alive. He is absolutely hilarious and there isn't a second when his classes get boring as he's always intent on cracking the whole class up, usually with his self-depreciating jokes. Apart from the humor, he is immensely knowledgeable about the subject and teaches in a very effective way to ensure success.
He makes the class very interesting and a very fun environment, he care about his students very much. he is also a genius.
Beware of pop quizzes. Assigns readings after every class and to make sure you read there's always a possibility of a pop quiz. Pick group effectively at the beginning of the semester as you're stuck with them for the rest of the semester.
He's a very funny guy and really knows what he's talking about. You will have to do a 100 page business plan but he helps out a lot, its in a group, and it isn't too bad The only thing I didn't like about this class was when we were choosing groups and had to say our strengths and weaknesses for strangers so they would choose us.
Super funny and makes the class blow by fast while actually teaching you a lot. Course is a lot of work but he'll always help you when you ask, whether its on the business plan or the exams. One of my favorite professors by far.
Hilarious guy. Made class fun & interesting & I still learned so much. He makes you work hard & push yourself but in a good way because class is so fun so he has to make sure everyone is learning too. Start your business plan early so you don't get stuck doing everything last minute which is nearly impossible. A lot of textbook reading. 2 tests.
I everyone loves Rubin because he's funny. I think his jokes are sad and nobody wants to listen to his divorce story he tells every semester. He puts everything in the syllabus for you to find and if you have a question about it he either won't reply to your email or will just say 'look at syllabus." Enjoys to see students fail. I despise this man.
One of the most inspirational and best professors. He wants people to do well. Just follow the syllabus to the letter, listen to his instructions, and you'll pass. He'll share some personal stories, one of which can be a tearjerker. Realest professor at Bryant.
Everyone has to take GFOB and the business plan will make you work, but Rubin was an amazing professor. Get a good group and don't wait until last minute and the work load won't be terrible. 2 Exams worth 15% each, business plan is 25%, rest is peer evals, case study, and small things. May seem tough at times, but worth any time slot to have Rubin.
This is the best professor in the Bryant University GFOB program. Period. He has it all. From funny comments, to inspirational stories, Rubin embodies all that Bryant University has to offer for the freshman class. Highly recommend this guy. He is strict and expects the class to be promptual and in shape, while maintaining a casual atmosphere.
the BEST GFOB professor easily. Very funny guy, classes are fun to be in, he keeps things light. obviously there is the whole business plan but every class does this. he wants his students to do well and will help out people who are having a tough time. very approachable and a genuinely nice guy. my favorite professor at Bryant. take him
Professor Rubin is the most entertaining and down to earth teacher I have ever had. He is well versed on the subject and makes going to class worth your time. Lots of group work outside of the classroom and lots of presentations. Only two tests in the whole course and one business plan. I HIGHLY recommend Rubin and would definitely take him again.
One of the best professors I have ever had in my life. Funny, makes the class interesting, he really cares about his students and wants them to do well. What otherwise would've been a very boring class without Rubin, he made it my favorite class. Take any of his classes if you have the chance.
Professor Rubin was my most difficult professor and toughest grader. He makes it clear you have to work very hard to get a good grade and he sometimes scared me. It gave me anxiety going to his class but I liked working in my group all semester for the project. Professor Rubin is caring one-on-one and wants to see you succeed overall.
Very funny dude, my only problem is that he kind of just puts stuff in the slyibus and doesn't mention it when the due date is coming up.
Professor Rubin is an awesome guy. Lectures are extremely engaging and funny. He assigns a lot of reading and a lot of projects. I wouldnt have a problem with it, but Im only taking GFOB because I have to. None of this stuff is related to my major at all, and so its hard to prioritize this class; which makes the amount of homework unbearable.
Really funny and cool guy, however, he's one of those professors that have a syllabus with all assignments and expects everyone to remember when everything is due and gives no reminders, so I would advise getting a planner or using the laptops calendar... other than that he's a great guy and I would like to have him as a professor again.
Rubin is a great professor and a great guy. His class is pretty tough, but I learned more in his class than I was expecting to. It's a lot of work, but if you do the work the right way, you can get a solid grade. Participation is graded, so make sure you show up to class every day and do the readings before class. He does throw in some pop quizzes.
A TON of work but not necessarily that difficult. A lot of group projects and presentations. Very extensive syllabus that you're expected to know everything on and won't give reminders for due dates. Didn't agree with some of the grading criteria but it's whatever. A genuinely nice guy who knows his stuff. Not my favorite class but not my least fav
You need to put a lot of work into this course to succeed. The business project is due at the end of the semester but work on it early on because it is very stressful to do at the last minute. A lot of homework assignments and expected to know everything on the syllabus. Great guy and I learned so much, not an easy A but is rewarding.
Professor Rubin is one of the most highly-acclaimed professors at Bryant for a reason. He is absolutely hilarious, and makes lectures interactive and enjoyable. He is strict and punctual, but the life lessons he provides are very helpful. The Business Plan Project is demanding, but he is very fair and will offer guidance. I highly recommend him!
Rubin is a great person, but everything is on the syllabus which is a complete mess. Barely anything is on canvas and if you ask him about it, he will tell you it's on the syllabus, but the syllabus is so confusing. He also will not remind you of assignment and if it's not turned in on time and done exactly how he wants he will not accept it.
I have never been more conflicted about a teacher before. In person, Rubin is hilarious, fun to listen to, and easy-going. I love his lectures and he makes class so much fun. However, his business plan is an insane amount of work that makes the class not worth it. I would not take him again simply because of how much work his class is.
Professor Rubin was a G. You may hear he sucks and gives to much work but that is because the people saying that are plain lazy. the business plan project is a lot of work compared to other teachers, but it teaches you what goes into creating a real business. Take him if you want to be challenged, take someone else if you are lazy
Adam Rubin is a fantastic professor. He makes his lectures understandable and keeps all of the students engaged with his fun personality. However, this class is not for everyone. This course is designed to challenge students to actually get something out of the class. Ask questions and complete the business plan throughout the semester.
Pros - Funny/Excellent Lectures (not boring) - Interactive (engaging) Cons - Syllabus is disorganized; important to know due dates - Guidelines/Details of some of the assignments are unclear - Heavy on group work - Strict on following directions for the assignment; if not done correctly, will not take it Overall: challenging course, but rewarding
Professor Rubin teaches like he's on crack - but in a good way
Such an amazing and inspiring professor. If you aren't willing to put the work in, I wouldn't recommend him. Teaches you so much about business that you can actually apply in other classes, goes above and beyond to make his lectures enjoyable, and very caring/willing to work with you at the end of the day. Also- said he'd fix the syllabus!!
Very energetic and made class something I genuinely enjoyed and looked forward to. His final project was A LOT OF WORK but the finished product was amazing and he understands how much work that project is. His lectures helped exams and quizzes.
absolute legend take his class whenever you can
Not surprised fair reviews from myself and fellow peers are being deleted. Lackluster lectures, self pitty, and students walking away with no value. I am a student who PAID for this class. This is my view.
Rubin is great! At first he is intimidating but he wants you to succeed. He assigns a group BUS100 project at the beginning of the semester, so make sure you pick a good group. He has two exams, pop quiz here and there, a presentation case study, and a few other homeworks here and there. His lectures are great and engaging.
Business project was SO much work. He is a great guy who makes class really entertaining but is not the easiest person to approach. Make sure you start your business project ASAP.
Professor Rubin is a really great guy and easy to talk to. However, his syllabus is incredibly unorganized, you pretty much have to teach yourself the material, and he does not give clear instructions. Do not take his class if you are looking for an easy A, be prepared to write an 100 page business plan.
Professor Rubin is engaging, but the course is no easy feat. Heavy on group work and strict on details. However, it's rewarding if you put in the effort - Unstuck ai and the textbook can be helpful study tools.
Adam Rubin is a great professor! Just be prepared to work and it is an extremely hard semester long project with over a 100 page business plan but he gives you clear criteria and it is possible to get an A if you put in the effort!
Not a good professor and does not care if you do well. He says how he gets paid no matter what our grades are in the class showing he does not care what we get out of it. I could've learned more from a youtube video than in his class.
took this class for BUS100G and if I could go back and do it again I would have dropped him. His regular BUS100 class is treated like an honors class and his honors class is treated like an AP class. If you want to work extremely hard, do more work than any other business teacher at Bryant, this class is for you! flat out do not take this teacher.
Funny guy, good at teaching the content, but for the major projects he kind of just leaves you to figure it out on your own. Also, if you have a bad group you're not going to have a fun time. Overall, I learned a lot but the stress of the two major projects is a lot. Pick a different professor if possible, however he isn't the worst.
Rubin is a great professor. He really cares about his students. He may be hard at times, but if you do the work the class is a breeze. I would definitely take him again.
Professor Rubin was an outstanding Professor. Those who leave bad reviews must not like a challenge. He cares greatly about his students and is always there to help them. He is one of the funniest people I have ever been surrounded by. I am glad that he challenged myself so early in my college career, so Im prepared for the road ahead.
Professor Rubin is such a character! He is the funniest professor I have ever had. You can expect a quiz here and there in this class, but mostly his AMAZING lectures. He genuinely cares about his students and their grades and knows what he is talking about. The business plan is not hard; it is just hard work, but its fine if you stay on track.
Rubins bus100 class is a class that I would recommend to anyone. He will make you work and study hard but you will learn more in his class than any other bus100 class by a mile. He seems a little scary at first but he has great humor and cares about you as a student. Heis always there to help you succeed but you need to put in the work yourself.
Rubin's Bus100 class was a class that I would recommend to anyone. It will be a bit more work than the other Bus100 classes but you will learn significantly more of the material. He seems intimidating at first but he has a great since of humor and cares about you. He is there to help you succeed but you will need to put in the work aswell.
Rubin was an AMAZING professor. Such a character and is hilarious. He made the 8 am class much more entertaining and fun to be in. Material isn't too bad but there is a little more work than other Business 100 classes, but you truly learn a lot. He really cares for his students and will help you as much as he can if you put in the work. Recommend!
Such an amazing human being a professor so kind and honestly my favorite professor actually teachers life lessons and doesn't waste ur time
Professor Rubin is one of the most caring, knowledgeable, and awesome Professors or teachers i've had in my life. Made every class and lecture engaging. Unlike other courses, you actually learn from it. If anyone hates on this, you honestly don't deserve to be in his class. Literally helped changed what I want to major in and push for my dreams.
professor rubin was a great introduction to college. He gave everything to you straight up no bs. Gave me a taste what college was going to be like in my first semester freshman year and it was a good wake up call and set me straight for the next years. his work was a lot but its college, you came here to work so get used to it.
If you put in work in this class, you will get an A. He rounds very generously according to how much work you did throughout the semester so don't worry too much about your grade. The nicest and funniest guy teaching at Bryant. A true inspiration! Take his class! You'll learn so much!
Professor Rubin should be avoided. His class had a crazy amount of work, he was very rude to students, frequently cursing them out and belittling people for asking normal questions. A ridiculous amount of group project work. During class he would use scare tactics and embarrasses students into doing their work. Quite unnecessary! Take anyone else.
Rubin is a great guy and professor. He teaches the hardest section of intro to business so it's not going to be an easy A, but you will learn a lot from his class. He does a great job making class engaging and making his lectures interesting.
Professor Rubin is an amazing professor, he is very hilarious and an overall fun person. He finds a way to always make the lectures seem fun and has the class' attention at all times. He is a great guy who geniunly cares for his student's success, but the course structre and grading is horrible along with group work making it a challenging class.
Do the work and make an effort for him to know who you are. He is always there to help you with anything as long as you ask for it. He wants you to put yourself first, so just be transparent with him if you are sick and need to miss class. Would definitely recommend.
I absolutely loved Rubin! He was my favorite professor last semester, and was a great mentor to me. He pushed us as a class and set a high standard for us to excel, but was very supportive along the way throughout the semester. I really enjoyed his class- he made it fun and entertaining and I genuinely enjoyed going every time. Would recommend!
Rubin is an excellent guy and an excellent teacher, so much so that I chose him to be my faculty advisor for my summer internship. He clearly wants to have everyone succeed in his classes, so as long as you put in effort and participate during the class discussions, you will excel. Super funny dude and very knowledgeble.
I am a science major and have zero interest in business, but Professor Rubin has made this class so entertaining for me. He is so funny, connects his lectures to relevant topics, and is right to the point with you. This class is difficult, but it is definitely worth your money. I am definite he is one of the best professors I will have at Bryant.
Adam Rubin is the BEST professor. He is so much more than just a teacher, he is a role model. He will make sure you succeed, but you need to put in the work. You will not be bored in his lectures and you will leave the classroom with new information every day.
Very entertaining and funny. Always has great stories!

Kind of a weird dude but he's the man. Take him.
Professor Rubin is an amazing professor. He truly cares for his students and will always make time if you ever need it. I truly think he is one of the only professors that truly care about their students and profession.
he's a good guy and he's funny, but he leaves no feedback, doesn't give direction on what to study for tests, no study guide, takes points off assignments for no absolute reason, he doesn't tell you that you have an assignment due because he posts all of them in the beginning of the semester and doesn't care. class average on our final was a 61%.
