this teacher is so hot its not even funny. other than that shes good. im still taking her class at the moment, and she hasn't returned a thing that i have turned in. she makes you write about a paper a week, and you are required to read once a week also. she is a good teacher though.

She was a great teacher. She was very helpful with my writing. I did have to get tutoring from her to fully understand what she was looking for. I took her the first semester she taught at HCC. I learned a lot and her teaching standards helped my writing skills. She taught at college level. I enjoyed her class. I recommend her.

I loved her class. You do have to write a whole bunch of papers but they are only 2 pgs long. She does take a long time to grade them but she's very fair. I'ts an easy A!

This is a very laid back class. There is not much work, just a few papers due and most likely a final paper/presentation. Most of the writing is reflective/analysis work. Professor Tsai is very sweet and funny and she takes the formality of writing and turns it fun! If you are looking for a low stress experience, take her classes!

Professor Tsai only gave us ballet oriented assignments. During the whole spring of 2013, that's all we did. Not saying I hated it. Well, did at first but it soon grew on me. She's really helpful. Her work is actually fun to do. Beware of group work and possible chance of having to dance and be dressed up as a donut fairy.

She is really a helpful professor. She knows how to make the class become more interesting. Just need to write reflective or narrative essays. Her course will be more perfect if she gives feedbacks on the essays.

Prof. T is almost the best, im in her class now, all we do is dance, nobody really likes dances in front of people, but its an easy A, she should give us feedback on our essays but she is not as bad as people are making her seem. we write an essay every week though. if you want to read books, write, and learn, dont take this class, Best Prof. ever

Great Teacher, She has a passion for dance, and uses that avenue to help her students explore a whole new thought process that forces you to write about new things in new ways. Although she still grades you on grammar and what not, she more-so gives you a grade on WHAT you write vs. HOW you write. Super helpful and sweet as pie! TAKE HER!!

She is the best professor I have had at HCC. Looks at writing through the context of dance, very creative and thought provoking. Some people don't like to dance, so what. Professor Tsai gets the best out of everyone and I will recommend her to anyone!

She teaches English through dance, more like expressive writing and letting you freely run your thoughts on paper. Grades you on grammar, but still an easy A(late papers are accepted). Most people I know in my class received a B. Be ready to do a couple dance presentations in class. Take this for a different vibe of English class.

I really enjoy Ms. Tsai's ENGL1302. She is a nice teacher and replied my email quickly . If you have any concern about her assignment (Fashion ), just email to her. She is very thoughtful. There are some assignments with extra credit. we have 8 assignments (including mid-term and final ) in this 12weeks semester and you should keep a journal.

Took her class for summer 2. Only 4 essays including the final. 2 essays including the final must be a minimum of 5 pages. Her assignments were very organized. But keep in mind if you want to learn don't take her because there was no teaching involved, no essay feedback. I sent all my essays to hccs ask online for review before i submitted them.

I enjoyed this online course. I love how she uses technology and gives great feedback to the students. Would take another class by her.

Aside Tsai is an incredible professor. If you get the chance, take her! She selects fun, engaging material that entertains as much as it challenges. She communicates with students clearly and is excellent about guiding discussion. Her grading feels fair, but she's not a pushover or automatic A. Easily the most enjoyable professor I've had at HCC.

I honestly have never met a better professor. I did second start, this teacher is AMAZING. We had about 6/7 papers due (I know it sounds like a lot) but I PROMJSE it's not. She ALWAYS gave enough time to complete it. As long as you do your work, you WILL pass. She makes sure you have a full understanding. She emails back the same day. Easy A.

Awesome professor! There are no exams - just novel readings and papers. I could usually type the paper up the night before and get an A. Even with some late assignments, she didn't take off many late points. I had a paper that was about a week late and still received a high B. Not difficult to pass if you're a college-level writer. Highly recommend

This class was an easy A! We had few assignments but they were fun and engaging. It's an open class, it's very easy to talk among another.

This online dance class at TWU is very interesting and in depth so be ready to work. Professor Tsai is incredibly knowledgeable and extremely helpful on all things so no worries on miscommunication issues. Great class!

This was by far my favorite class of the semester. It was my last semester at HCC, and as a writer/English major I enjoed it very much. There is a lot of reading and papers. But she is very understanding and laid back. If your having trouble with writing or at a stand still with it, take this class. She revives the will to write again.

Very cool professor. There will be a lot of writing assignments but you can literally write about whatever you want for majority of the assignments. Don't procrastinate because it's assignment after assignment after assignment. Any questions or critiques you want, she'll definitely help.

I was skeptical about taking this class because I can't dance but Addie Tsai removed all fear. Her class allowed us to have fun and laugh at ourselves despite our dance abilities. I recommend taking her class.

She is willing to extend due dates if you email her and let her know what you are going through. Yes you have to read basically the entire book, but you've got to keep in mind its a literature class. She was very willing to work with us if we were unable to get our projects in on time, you just have to communicate with her. Be prepared for video assignments that are recordings of you dancing. Also there were several writing assignments, the longest was 5 to 7 pages.

I took Professor Tsai's online literature class and really enjoyed it. She teaches in a unique way through films, which kept me interested. You do have to read the whole book, but it was an easy read. No finals or tests, just papers. She's great at getting back to you with question, and willing to work with you if you email her. Great teacher!

Easy A if you do all of your reading and write a response each week. There are a lot of films assigned to watch so it can be a bit tough to fit into your schedule. Also she grades rather slowly so you could be waiting at least a month before knowing what you made on a paper. She usually doesn't give much feedback on those unless requested maybe.

Professor Tsai, responds quickly to any questions, her online course is to the T, no confusion. U will have to dance in her course but that is not a problem even for the non dancers. u will have to read for her class and the assignments are from the reading. Class was great and would recommend to anyone.

This is by far the best instructor I've ever had. She is nice, funny, and a great instructor. In my experience I have never known an instructor who actually interacts with her class the way she did. I made really good friends in her class, thanks to the open discussions we had.

I really enjoyed this class and learned about dance

I took her English 1301, 5 week, online class this summer. It was awesome! We were required to read one book, it was 250 pages, watch 3 movies, and had a total of 4 assignments. Each assignment was due one week after it was assigned. I learned a lot and it was enjoyable and super convenient being online. Final was online too, it was a final paper.

Took prof. T during the 5 wk summer online class and loved it! Every Monday all you have to do is log in and see what the assignment is for the WEEK. It is just 3 of Chaplin's films, 3 papers, and a book (which I didn't have a chance to read but still got an A on the paper). The only down side was that there was no feedback. Will def. take again!

One of the best professors at HCC. Definitely the best English professor I've had! She is funny, caring, knowledgeable and understanding; if you have any problems you can let her know and she'll definitely help you out. If you need any English credits you have to take her. The discussions were the best part! She is very interactive with the class.

I took professor Addie online and so far I have an A. you will do one 5 page diagnostic essay,one reading the response, two movie response that you need to watch movies and one movie/reading response and the final essay which is a 5-page essay.

I really enjoyed the class, and actually I am sad that it is ending. I am on the surface an introvert, this class made me look within myself. Professor Tsai is one of the best English instructor that I came across. Two 5-7 pages essay throughout the whole semester and a group Final project. She's a professor that understands college student struggles and is willing to work with you as long as you let her know. She's the Best.

I absolutely loved taking her class! She is so pretty and sweet! The class is an amazing opportunity to express your creativity and figure out which writing styles you enjoy! 10/10 would recommend.

Her lectures are fantastic, the book you will read will be mostly what the class is about. She is available anytime thru facebook and will respond as soon as possible if you need anything. It is the first time I did not mind going to an English class. If you require an English credit, you must take her and trust me you will not regret it.

She is a very gracious, understanding, and intriguing teacher. We had books and graphic novels to read. The writing assignments would then correspond to those readings. There is not much feedback on your writings. It felt more like a literature class. However, her class assignments were very intriguing. It pushes your creativity.

5 week summer online class, prof was really nice & easy going. She provides reading material for you to write essays on, there were 2 assignments, a 2 page essay & a 5 page essay. The final was a 3 page essay. Accepted late assignment & grades generously.

The professor is very clear on her assignments and is always there when you have any questions she answers right away. We did have to write many essays . Also makes you work in groups as projects.

The class I took was based on the Black Lives Matter movement. I thoroughly enjoyed reading all the books that were assigned. The issue is very important in in our society right now. I learned more about the issue that I knew when the class started. The essay we had to write allowed us to express our opinions on the issues. I would take it again.

Our class was affected by Hurricane Harvey and with the delays of school, Professor Tsai improvised by mapping out the semester in which we would not have to cram but still get most if not all of the information we needed. The class was fun and informative with an emphasis on creativity as well as open discussions. I would definitely recommend!

She is genuine. I took her class immediately after the Harvey hurricane incident and she was willing to reschedule the class activities to make it more convenient for us. Inspirational

This woman is absolutely amazing! Shes extremely inciteful, thoughtful (especially after Harvey) and though she had group work and projects (barf) she made everything fun and interesting. Really looking forward to taking her lit classes again. Also, super snazzy dresser.

She is very sweet and cares about her students, if you can't make it to class on time or need to leave she's very understanding, the class is easy if you show up and do the work. We do presents our writing to the class, but she makes you feel comfortable when you're on the spot, would definitely take her again.

Professor Tsai is the most understanding and caring teacher. She really cares about your ideas and what you take from the reading assignments . We only read one book and it was only $20. Each assignment is different and creative. She's lenient on late work. No tests, or pop quizzes, 2 group projects, 4 papers, we watch movies and have discussions.

Professor Tsai is great professor because she actually cares about each individual student. She gives assignments that are actually relevant to you & they are very easy. The only book we had to read was "The Moth" which is a bunch of real-life short stories so it wasn't difficult at all. She makes it easy to pass and i would for sure take her again

Professor Addie Tsais class has easily been one of my favorites. From day one she emphasized her desire for this course to enrich us in some way, regardless of what our paths lead to in the long run. ENGL 2307, Creative Writing. Wonderful class The "textbooks" are novels that can be found very cheap. Professor is very caring, communicative, and gives you a lot of chances to make up. Only thing I didn't like was using Facebook groups for assignments, workshops were lacking but only because of classmates

I'm here to update you all! Although grades were never posted throughout the semester I ended up receiving an A. I would suggest taking this class. Easy and straight to the point. Just do the assignments and you will be perfectly fine. 2nd Start for HUMA 1301.

This professor is awesome, fun and good at what she does. she made the class so fun like no other literature teacher. All the reads she picked for the class were awesome and very educative and meaningful. I HIGHLY recommend this teacher.

Pro Tasi is amazing. With all of her assignments she gives a good grace period after the due date to turn in late. She is very understanding, I was originally was going to walk away with a "C." However, I reached out to her about extra credit, and she provided the missing assignmets and advised I could turn them in. She cares about her students.

My first semester in Honors college and thank god I got her. She is one of those teachers who really want you to take interest in what you're doing. We touched topics from our daily lives like racism, sexism. We also made movies, wrote scripts. She is the coolest!! I can write an whole essay about how amazing she is. My best class.

I took Professor Tsai for creative writing, she was by far my most interesting professor I've had. She had us use Facebook rather than canvas which I thought was different. She was very clear on the books we would be reading and any writing assignments that we had. She made me feel very comfortable with sharing my essays. Take her shes great!

Challenges you to be creative and think outside the box

She is the most AWESOME professor I had this semester, I enjoyed coming to her class since she teaches her subject in a different way. She is not the type of professor to hand you a packet of a boring text. I honestly truly enjoyed learning about the social issues that are happening right now rather know what happened in the 18 century.

A lot of books to read, but they are all i retesting & the assignments for them are not too hard. Super understanding with late work as long as you communicate, gives plenty of chances for extra credit, too. Wonderful professor thats clearly passionate about what they teach. Just show up and do your best!

You will probably never meet a more nicer professor then Dr. Tsai. This professor actually gives us fun assignment to write about. If you have issues with writing or have extenuating circumstances, she more then accommodating with extensions. She is a very open and easy person to get in contact with, and generally cares for her students.

Dr. A is a great teacher. I've been taking ENGL2343 with her easy going as far as you doing your homework. There is 7 papers and two of them 5 pages long others just 2 pages feedback on book. You have to prepare to read a lot sometimes to finish a book within a week however, if you missed your deadline and didn't upload work you can do it later on.

She is an amazing professor. She is very understanding, and cares for students A lot! I would take her again and again.

She was amazing. Not difficult at all, class mostly consists of discussing current events/news or discussing assigned article. Would recommend to everyone. Take her! Also attendance doesn't really matter. We never had any tests, minimum length on essays can sometimes be a bit long (final was 15 pages all together) but it's an English class sooo ��

yes theres a lot to read throughout but most of the material is very interesting. If you wanna perfect your writing skills, take this class.

In my whole college career shes hands down one of my favorite teachers! Its creative writing class so obviously you have papers but theres a lot freedom with it. Introduced to a lot of great pieces of writing and truly inspirational for making me write again. I would re take her any day!

Although I didn't work hard enough in her class she is one of the best teachers I have had and one of the best class experiences. Very much a community and open feeling. It was about a paper every two weeks and some readings to help with those papers. I would gladly take her class again.

All the way, it was one of the best classes ive taken. Assignments and papers are pretty straightforward. Class discussions were all very fun. Def. would take the class again.

I really enjoyed being in her class a lot and got to learn more than I anticipated. Shes very understanding and as long as you participate, it shouldnt be hard to pass her class at all.

This course was litty, the professor was great and the class was very open and understanding. There's always something to discuss whether it's about your writing or other matters. It's a super chill, fun class as is the professor. Would definitely take again. Actually, I might for Creative Writing 2.

Class discussions were always fun and interesting and the workshops were a positive experience. If you are a student with a disability, she is very understanding and willing to work with you!

She cares about the student and our grade. The class environment is very friendly. but participation matter most. You need to get ready for the group project and writing on book analysis. She gives extra credit too. She is easy going. Even if you be late for class she will give an excuse. You will enjoy her class and I mean that.

Dr. Tsai gives a look into creative writing that most professors would never give you. She gives you the tools and freedom to write whatever you can imagine, and leads workshop discussions to highlight your work and make you a better writer.

She was truly AMAZING. Yes a lot of writing is involved, BUT nothing boring happens in this class. This class is really a chance to help you open up your mind and Dr. A really helps.

She gave out easy work but behind that work there was a lot of thought process. We had to connect our work with real life situations and I really enjoyed doing that :)

You basically write a paper every week on a different topic. The topics are on interesting things though - If you write the papers and you don't half a** them, you will be fine. Only negative is she doesn't grade the papers right away so half the semester you don't really know your grade. Not much feed back on papers. She does accept late papers.

Dr.T will tech you in ways that are very awesome and interesting. You have not taken an English class like this one.

I took Dr. A for a summer class and when I say it's literally the best literature class I have ever taken she is great and the books we had to read were all interesting!! Best professor ever. I would definitely take her again!

She is 10/10! Super nice and approachable, not to mention, she assigned a very interesting book for us to read!

I will say that she most cool professor I had .yeah she does a lot work like others professor does .But the things I like her classes she give you more time on you assignment and she explained to very clear something you didnt understand.

This class is for people who like to be very creative. You don't get a lot of assignments, but the assignments require you to write a lot of pages. If you don't like writing then this class is not for you. However, this professor is really nice she is really helpful with explaining assignments. Most of her assignments are about current events.

Professor Addie Tsai is an awesome lecturer in class and top notch in friendly communication inorder to transfer her academic knowledge to her students . She loves hands on deck - thereby allowing her students to participate individually in a good platform of the class work which brings diligence, confidence and best results in them.

Professor Tsai is excellent, and she teaches in a very creative way. She is very organized and clear about the assignments. Youll learn a lot in her class . Take her !

If you want to take a class where you yourself and you can express your ideas, take it! Shes a really good professor and encourage you to explore new creative worlds inside of you!

Professor Tsai is one of the best professors I have ever had the privilege to be taught by. She is so helpful during class and outside. She understands how English could become overwhelmin for some students but she makes the class fun. I took during summer 5 weeks and we had 2 out of class assignments and 1 in class presentations.

I took Professor Tsai for a short summer class and I wish it was longer! This is not your typical boring English class. The topics are very relatable and interesting. She is always available to answer any questions. I would highly recommend her class! The book she assigned was also a book I enjoyed reading.

This is not your typical read and write class. You get to discuss & write about the issues that we face today. Professor's assignments include writing your own opinions and stories, discussing them, and also hearing stories that are relatable. Professor is kind and helps you break out of your comfort zone.

She is so sweet, caring, understanding, and well respected. I took her during the summer course. We did 3 essays. They were so creative, so it opens up your mind. No quizzes or tests. She uses Facebook to share articles, and we discuss them as part of our participation in class. Take her, and you will not regret it.

She is an awesome professor! I took her summer class, and she did a great job in making the course very doable. She is very understanding, and will help students get a good grade in her class. Definitely recommend her.

When I took 1301 it was quite difficult for me, so when I walked in Professor Tsai class I just immediately knew it would be a great 5 weeks.. I would recommend everyone to take her and I can guarantee you wount regret it. I learned quite a few things and fell in love with book that she chose for us to read and no it wasnt a bad book..

This was an easy class! We never had any assignments or tests. She assigned us to read 4 books & write reviews about them. For the final we had to do a project which was fun to do! The only thing I had an issue with was that my assignments weren't graded as fast as I wish they could be. I never got anything below an 80. TAKE HER!

I'm glad I had this professor for HUMA1301. Very simple instructions on essay assignments. She gives you 2-3 weeks just to write a 5 page essay. Also generous if you need help or extra time to finish. She provides you research videos or articles to read and write about.

If I could give you one piece of advice for her class its to communicate. Communicate when something is hard, or you dont have enough time, or if you have any other concerns. She will most likely be understanding. Also be prepared to write papers. Luckily the topics are unique and personalized. I had fun thinking outside the box for this class.

She's an amazing teacher, she was always very patient with us. also, a very good dancer lol. She took the time to help us with our MLA formatting. Overall, she's amazing, not hard to grade but when she does she always gave good feedback so we can know our mistakes.

Professor Tsai has to be the most understanding professor at HCC. If you are unclear about the instructions she will go out of her way to post extra information on it. If you get anything but an A in her class you either did not communicate whatsoever or youre lazy. Shes not going to spoon feed you your grade, just try your best and do your part.

Only read two books the entire semester, but we watched many films and documentaries. There are multiple 5 page essays and mandatory class discussions, this is what you will be graded on. Overall I enjoyed this class, the material we discussed was interesting and relevant today.

Professor Tsai is very understanding and will do all possible to explain if any assignments are unclear. As long as you communicate any issues she will will work around them to help you get a good grade. If you are someone who wants feedback on assignments LET HER KNOW and she will do it.

Dr. Addie Tsai is one of the best English Teachers Ive had throughout college so far. She is an amazing listener and always gives good feedback. Her lectures are amazing and she always teaches something new and interesting. I recommend to everyone coming into college!

Dr. Tsai is a great professor. I took ENGL 1301 for the 2021 spring semester (online on a schedule), but it was second start. She cares about her students and offered assistance to those who needed it. We used class time to work on assignments. She gave us about two weeks to complete essays. We used peer review a few times, which was very helpful.
