I learned alot in her class, even though her views were a bit exaggerated

Most fantastic professor I've ever had.

So brilliant and inspiring. I was on the edge of my seat during all of her vivacious lectures. She's insightful, intuitive and I always look forward to her interesting assignments.(Not to mention her dark and sexy allure provokes the dirtiest fantasies).

This professor inspired me in so many ways. She is a wonderful caring person who devotes her time to keeping up to date with her students in a fun and motivating way. Anyone who isn't afraid to pick up a pen now and than will surely benefit.

Highly quirky. Her poetry is a mess, and she expects yours to be similarly wrought with unease and incoherence. Moderately candid when it comes to reviewing your poetry. Her poetry/creative writing classes are a good time. Normal classes... I don't know.

she is a little challenging but i learned how to write A+ papers with her. taking her class is definetly worth the challenge

took her twice...both times were great. great teacher and i spent the entire semesters picturing her in a schoolgirl uniform. HOTTTT.

Definately not an easy professor because she is a poet and novelist herself so she expects great work. Grades harshly. seems cool but she's actually pretty wierd. visit her website; you'll know what i mean. lots of essays and presentations, interesting topics. if you write really well, take her.

She looks good! class cancled OFTEN! If you write well expect a good grade(from what i have seen people at st johns can't write or hold an intelectual conversation)class discusion is interesting, if you don't participate she will dislike you. Just participate! Paper topics are interesting and the longest paper you have 5 pages. NO RESEARCH!

dont listen to any of these other comments, she is AWESOME... there are 3 papers, like 4 pages each, and NO FINAL and NO HW... she is really nice and she will do SO MUCH for you to help you out in the end... just do the work take it seriously, listen to instructions and have everything on time you you will get an A... TAKE HER!!!!!!

She's a serious nutcase! If you need some spice in your life, take her. Her assignments are cool and she's an interesting person. She also cancels class a lot and the day that a paper is due, all you have to do is hand it in and go on about your business!

Interesting, fun, energetic,...no HW, No Final, 1 Midterm (an essay)...4 papers tops...just pay attention, do the work and you'll be fine and better at English by the end of it!

She is the best english teacher i have ever taken. She is always looking for ways to help and make sure that you understand. I am very bad in english and she really gave me many chances to improve my grade with out dealing with anything to english. Def TAKE HER SHES THE BEST AND HOT!!!!!

There was never a dull moment in this class. Her enthusiasm for the subject matter really helped everybody become interested, and the essay topics are interesting as well. Kind of a tough grader, but hey, it's college.

It's true that her classes are interesting. However, the assignments are not. The papers are one after another until the end of the course. I personally thought she is a hard grader. If the does not like your writing style, you will not get a decent grade. Unless you are superb at writing, do not take this class.

great teacher, nice, very enthusiastic, basically requires one essay every ten days or so which is based on readings on topics relevant to society and a lot of stuff pertaining to college students as well, it was a good class, no tests at all

Very hard class but you learn from it at least. She has a good personality but expects a lot from your assignments so it's hard to get a good grade.

Hard grader, got C+ cause I was lazy doing things at last minute. No tests, only papers. You do learn a lot and class is fun. If you need help just ask her or go to writing center. She is a bit snobby probably cause she got a PHD but still I think she is pretty nice. I Wouldnt mind taking her again, I just gotta stop being lazy hehe.

She is the greatest! I've never had a better teacher. She totally helped me and taught me a bunch of new things. She is a very fair grader and doesn't pick favorites(I know, I've tried). I loved her!

She has an endless amount of personality that just makes the class enjoyable. Most of the assignments are essays which are not bad as she offers a few choices. However if you are not a strong writer then I would not take her as she is somewhat tough. If you have confidence in your writing skills and like to participate then it is an engaging class.

professor Karasick is pretty nice overall. I did well on all of the papers and did not read the books entirely. However she did make us watch Clockwork Orange after reading the book. I personally felt the movie was inappropriate and completely vulgar. But overall she is a pretty decent professor, explains material well and cancels class alot! :)

She is actually a very different teacher than others. I barley read any of the books and did pretty well on all my essays and we watch alot of movies which is cool and I got a A.

Cancels class a lot, shows a few movies, always lets the class out early - I loved this class. Only assigned a few papers, and was a very easy grader. Plus she is a really nice lady with a great personality. I would recommend her.

She is Awesome! Love her! She is so funny and weird. She makes class interesting. The books we read were really good and interesting too. She makes you buy her book of poetry but that's alright because her poems are really cool. Amazing professor. I definitely recommend!!

Prof Karasick was brilliant! She was really clear, and her pop culture knowledge and references made the class a ton of fun.

If you enjoy listening to a poetry junkie use an exotic array of voices, and read articles off of Wikipedia for "class", you found the right professor. I highly recommend switching if you are uncomfortable with public speaking. Homework usually includes analyzing a given piece to talk about next class.

She is a famous poet. She assigned three essays, one regular essay, one the midterm, and the last the final. Does not give any exams only papers. Papers are normally 3-5 pages. She could be more clear when it comes to explaining essay prompts. Homework is usually just a reading assigned for the next class. I recommend her completely! No textbook!
