She also teaches other math glasses. Great teacher
she actually teaches and if you do not understand she will stop and make sure and if you still do not understand you can stop by her office. she also teaches other math classes but like every class you should do home work.
I failed this class out of my own laziness and neglect, but for people who wanna pass, it's not that hard, hse's VERY helpful, and cares about her students. She shows you the easiest methods of algebra. Very sweet woman, her classes fill up fast, hurry!

Forget mac 2233 at FIU or other teachers at MDC, take it with Quesada! She doesn't rush through the whole book. Slows down more later in the semester so you can do good. Optional final. Her class was 90% full within 48 hours.

Professor Quesada is an excellent professor. She explains things step by step, and is also willing to help if you don't understand. Just the thought of business calculus feaked me out but taking it with her, has made it all better for me. I highly recommend!!!

Best math teacher ever. I loved her class. She makes her class very understandable and is always willing to help her students. You will learn a lot in her class but she teaches in a way that you will understand very easily. She also has the best personality a teacher could have. I would love to take her again in the future. She is one of the best math professors I've ever had. She should write her own book. I took her for Business Cal and learned so much. She teaches you exactly what you need to know and nothing else. She keeps it simple and clear. If you fail her class, than you have a problem because I'm terrible at Math and got an A in her class.
you do 4 exam , each with a maximun of 100 points . if got one question you will miss most of the point for that qustion , dont worry about partial credit , she only gives you 2 points for a question even if you only have the last steo wrong

Awesome! Don't expect an easy grade but she explains VERY CLEARLY and welcomes questions. This is my second class with her and I have learned a lot (I hated math before) Take her, you wont regret it!
This professor goes off the deep end. She is very unorganized and teaches Calculus and then reverts back to tell you you really don't need to know the information. She gives you background on everything and she spends lots of time talking about her family. It is easy to get lost in this class.

All I can tell about didi she is one of the best teacher I have ever had. She is very helpful and explain very good. I admit that I lost focus in the class and I got a c grade. But it was my fault not this beautiful teacher. If someday I need to take any math class, I will look for her because she is one of the very few good teachers of MDC.

She a good professor. she tries to help you as much as possible. she won't give the test to the class until everyone is ready. some people may think she's disorganized b/c nothing is planned. but if everything is planned then people feel pressure to memorize ALL the information when they aren't ready. I might take her again for Pre-Calculus.

This Lady is not good at all at teaching. I was so upset in my 1105 class. I could not get anything from her. Her explanations were so confusing and out of context. She does not anything at Math.

This class was super easy. She gives 3 test, which the week before she gives a review sheet with the exact same test questions. And she goes over the review sheet in class before the test. She explains a question a student has until they get it. YOu never use the textbook, she recommends it at the beggining but u never use it at all. great teacher.

Not impressed...Maybe she is good for MAC 1105, but as for 2233 take someone else. I am an A student, not someone who slacks down. She explains very little in class and gives a lot of online homework on Eduspace, a really horrible website full of technical problems.The only decent thing about her is that the tests are very similar to the reviews.
Calculus: This teacher is soooooo amazing. She makes things so they are as simple as possible, she goes over it step by step, and she will answer any questions you want to ask. WORD OF ADVICE: DO NOT FALL BEHIND ON THE HOMEWORK. To be good at math you have to practice alot. Her reviews are almost identical to her tests except w/ diff. numbers.
I took the online class and I must say that I was very impressed. It gave step-by-step problem solving techniques. This class was different but I got an "A". If the professor was available when needed, I wouldn't know becuase the online system did everything. Also, the professor provided the book online. Highly recommed
If I had to take another math class, I would definitely take it with this professor. You can work at your own pace and you have the entire month to complete assignments.The practice tests are open a week before tests and it is almost exactly the same as the proctored exams.Take this professor. It is only hard if you don't study the practice exams.

Took her MAT0002 online class. Did not need the book you only have to buy the online passcode thru mathzone. Everything was very well explained and very easy to understand. I deffinately recommend her.

This is a very easy class and the review is exactly the test except for different numbers. I recommend her if you are not a good math person. You do have to do the homework though.

Its been awhile since I took MAT1033. I was a lil scared about taking MAC1105, especially online. But Prof made it easy. You don't need to buy the book unless you want to. Homework is graded. She gives you pract tests (not mandatory ) to prepare you for the tests (2 proctored, 2 unproctored). If you have any quest, she answers them. I recomend her.

I have never been a bad student in Math and usually finish with a high B or an A. To my surprise, i did terrible in this class. She does not explain the lessons thoroughly and she responded to my emails late. The homework is much more elaborate then her "teachings", so overall, i would either take this class on campus, or with a different teacher.

I seriously love this teacher. I've always hated math until I came across her. She knows how to explain material, gives amazing shortcuts and examples. She gives you a review that is exactly like the test just different numbers. If you're mad at math, don't even worry about it she will make you good. She responds emails quickly when you meed help.
Not helpful, quiz's were not up when supposed to, 5%, was based on essay type questions, really dumb, somebody should tell her its a MATH class! Do not take this online !
All Math classes are hard, but MAC1147 is an advance class so it's even harder! Also, the quizzes are every two weeks instead of every four weeks. But that is MAC1147 and not the Professor's fault. Practice tests are very similar to the real tests (but you must know how to work them with diff numbers). She is very nice and will help you if you ask.
All of the reviews are very similar to the actual tests, some exactly the same but you others you need to know how to solve them with diff numbers. There is a lot of hw u f you take it online, I spent 90 hours on all of the homework. I found this class very time consuming. You also need to study twice as hard as in a class on campus.
She is an amazing person I must admit that. Although the course was 100% online and only went to class to do work online, it was nice. Class is based on midterm and final. It's PASS OR FAIL. The class uses a program called ALEKS which is amazing and helps A LOT. If you need a remedial math or any teacher for math, I'd definitely choose her!
Love her! Very helpful and wants all her students to pass the class. If you don't understand something she is willing to explain it again till you understand. The class was on Alex but she still helps if you don't understand something. Access code for Aleks is mandatory!
Everything done in class was online on ALEKS, which was very helpful and in my opinion way better than ConnectMath. Is either you pass or you fail. The math code is mandatory.
AMAZING PROFESSOR! I am horrible in math and passed with an A. Her exams are exactly what she teaches. She is extremely caring and helpful. Take her if you know math isnt your strongest topic. Her homework is online on connect math. 5 exams about 20 questions in person.

This is the ABSOLUTE WORSE professor you could ever take. You can do great the whole class on all your assignments but heaven forbid you fail her midterm you might as well withdraw. If you fail that you fail the whole class she does NOT give you a chance to do good on your final and possibly pass, she counts it as 60% of your grade.
Do not take this class! Got all A's on my homework and did well on my tests, but when it came to the Midterm if you did not pass, you will not pass the class AT ALL!! She does not give you a chance to pass the Final and will advise you to withdraw from the class. Mid Term and Final is 60% of your grade. Her grading scale is just unreasonable.

She is a wonderful teacher, very caring and always available in helping her students. Super easy to contact and very fast responding. I loved the class and would be willing to take her class again. Sadly there are those who did not take her seriously all in all she knows what she is teaching.
Quesada is an excellent teacher: very clear and easy to understand. I took the class hybrid and didn't get an "A" because I slacked way too much, but it's very possible to receive one in this math class. She cares about your grade a lot. Her course includes MyMathLab (annoying btw) homework, weekly quizzes, four tests, and an optional final.
I took this class online and it is HORRIBLE! The professor is so slow to respond with emails! On top of that all we are forced to do is ALEKS. I thought she would at least have meetings to explain the material but she didnt. I have been studying for hours and hours but ALEKS is not good at explaining at all. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS ONLINE!
I took Professor Quesada in Spring 2020 for 0057 and 1103. She was kind and patient and due to her help I not only passed but got an A as well. My first A in math EVER! I'm currently taking her class for MAC1105 and am so grateful for her help. Trust me, she is amazing!!! Ask the questions and BE PROACTIVE. You won't regret choosing her.
Your grade is mostly how you do on midterm and final. There is hardly aancoursework so if you don't do exceptional on the midterm and final it's impossible to raise your grade. For that reason, I regret this class. First C of my life. The class is easy as long as you plan to score a 90% or upon both midterm and final. If not, take another course.

This professor is really good. There is only online code needed for homework. I finished it all in 2 weeks. Only 5 test. NOTHING PROCTORED! Easy A! Professor is caring, helpful and goes out her way to make sure everything works for students. 10/10! Just fantastic!
Please save yourself some time and don't ever take this professor. Don't be fooled by the "good" reviews. The proctored midterm and final exam is worth 60% of your total grade while everything else is worth only 20%. The homework is difficult too. There are 6 homeworks plus the quizzes and all have about 30-50 questions each one.
The Professor was very nice and explains great, she only grades the hw and quizzes. Not any second chances. If you pay attention and do the hw and quizzes on time you will pass the class with an A. Do not procrastinate.
She was the most organized teacher I've had in an online class, her live lectures were a breeze and she has a gift in the way she makes complicated concepts of Business Calculus so easy. From my experience, any other negative reviews you see here I'd assume come from lazy, students who procrastinate. 5 quizzes 75% & Homework 25% of your grade.
One of the easiest courses I've ever taken. How anyone has ever gotten below a B is beyond me. Took a 6-week online course in Summer 2022. There were 28 assignments, 5 (optional) test reviews, and 5 tests. All assignments were available from day 1 & weren't due until the end of the course. Attendance wasn't mandatory but lectures were great.
I definitely recommend she. I did my class online and attendance was not mandatory. She recorded the classes and post them on blackboard. The exams were exactly the same as we had seen in class. if you watch the classes and do the homework it's an easy A
Very nice professor. Her attendance was not mandatory because she uploaded her videos for us to watch. Assignments all due at the end of the semester and very simple 10-15 questions each. If you schedule yourself you can get it done. Test are not proctored she trusts us to know our material. 10/10
Be ready to do all on your own , millions of exercises through the AKERS just 20% of grade, Midterm and Final Proctored 60% . Math is not a class where you can just drop homework or exercises and let the students be alone. Research a better professor for your mental health.
If you work or have another class it will be nearly impossible to complete it. Roughly about 40 assignments with 25 questions each and most questions have part 1 through 5. Only 4 tests. She does not put any grade in until the last day of class. Horrible to see multiple comments saying the same thing and she continues to try and "teach" this way.
Quesada is an amazing math professor (she's funny too). You can really tell she knows her curriculum, and teaches it in a way where you would understand it. I have never been that good at math, but whenever she lectures it just makes sense. The homework assignments are due at the end of the semester, and the there are 6 tests that are simple.
She was probably the funniest and nicest teacher of my semester. She was very knowledgeable of her subject and taught it very thoroughly. She was honestly a sweetheart always willing to crack a joke and answer any questions we had. We finished our semester early thanks to her lectures. We had all semester to do the homework and the tests are cake.
RMP does not provide enough space for all the fantastic things I have to say about Professor Quesada. She explains in detail and will answer any question you have. If you email her a question, she responds immediately with a complete explanation. She not only knows how to do the problems she knows how to explain them so you can understand them.

This is my second time taking this course and it was night and day. You have to try really hard to fail this class. She's that good. Homework is a fair amount and is worth 25%. There are 5 quizzes worth 75% and the final is optional. Do NOT procrastinate and DO the quiz reviews. They really help. I'm so glad I chose her because she actually cares.

Took online, not live. You have to teach yourself everything. Hw is 20%, tests 20%, midterm and final (proctored) are worth 60% combined. Be prepared for a ton of hw, manage your time well. It's all due at the end of semester but you won't want to leave it for last minute. I wouldn't recommend this class unless you do better teaching yourself.
4 Tests for majority of the grade with online homework but she teaches well, gives Friday classes off and answers all questions. No mid term, no final. Tests are not proctured. If you want a class where attendance is not mandatory and a teacher that responds to all questions take her.

I had Professor Quesada for all 3 of my online Math courses, I would definitely recommend. She's understanding, responsive, and easy to work with. Work loads are VERY reasonable and she gives you ample time to complete your assignments. She's very easy-going.

This Professor is extremely pleasant and the course itself is quite straightforward. She is always willing to assist students in comprehending the subject matter. Pearson is user-friendly. The professor may struggle with the technology during the Live portion, but she still makes an effort.

Professor Quesada is an amazing math teacher! Everything is on ALEKS, and she was fantastic with grading. It's refreshing to have a professor who remembers what it's like being a student, and willing to empathize with her class. Her lectures are very informative, and she's readily available out of class. Professor Quesada is pretty good overall. The workload is heavy, but she's understanding and responsive. Unstuck AI was a lifesaver for prepping. Just stay on top of the assignments and you'll be fine.
She never responds to messages/emails, she says that if you don't pass the midterm exam that you better drop the class because you're not going to pass it, leaves a lot of homework, and the test are heavy, be on top of your grade in the tests because if not you don't pass the class

This professor was the worst I ever took in my entire academic career. She was no help at all when I had an issue with my class being dropped due to a mistake on MDC's part. She has no idea what she is doing and can barely do her job. If you care about your mental health, don't ever take her!

Math is difficult, but she makes it easier by giving us practice exams. Practice exams are almost identical to the real exams but with the numbers changed. She also uses Aleks, a platform where you can do the assignments with good feedback. She also gives a lot of time to complete assignments.
She was an amazing professor, would definitely take her again! Only reason why you'd fail this class is if you weren't paying attention or not making an effort. Her class was so easy all exams were open as was the homework. Final was optional, she didn't make a midterm. Super easy class!
Professor Quesada has got to be one of my favorite professors! I had her for Business Calc and people always say watch out for that class, but Prof Q makes it so understandable! It's an 8-week course and attendance is not mandatory (it's a zoom class) and the HW is a bit much but I emailed her and she was very understanding and got rid of questions
This professor was not that bad. This class is test heavy with 4 quizzes being 70% of your grade and the final is optional. Attendance was not mandatory because the lectures were recorded. The only thing is, she used an Excel sheet to calculate our grades which was confusing. Besides everything, I think the negative comments are dramatic.

Took this class online, but apparently needed telepathic proof you were doing math “correctly.” you'd get flagged for finishing too fast, not using paper, or existing too quietly. Grading felt like a game of roulette. Save yourself the headache, honestly.
If you care about passing this class, I suggest you take this class with a different professor. She suddenly failed more than half the class for having "too good of scores" and it took getting the dean involved to get any grades changed. She never apologized to the students she wrongly affected, and refuses to communicate when challenged. Avoid!!!!
Took me really 2 days to do all the assignments for the class so I could get it out of the way so thats a pro considering it was a 8 week class, there is a midterm and final. really liked how easy it was too get all the work done but you do have too wait for her to unlock 4 test every 2 weeks or so. But thats not a big deal anyway

The platform ALEKS awful. Too much homework with long exercises. The exercises were very repetitive too. I would have apreciate less homework exercises and a bank of exercises to practice (non gradeable), since the homework counts only a 20% of the final grade. The practice tests very helpful.
The Professor fail almost the all class, with false accusations, this is a remote class requiring 60% pass for proctored exams, and a lot of homework, and the requirements for the tests are not crazy, you have to show the face, and the papers, calculator, hands, I cant set up the laptop as she wished, and fail almost the all class with a zero.

Do not take her, she changed the grades at the end of the semester without notice, if you want to fail take the class with her, but if you want to pass this class without affecting your GPA, my advice is look for another MAC Professor, read the professor reviews first.

This is a supper easy course. All the zooms are saved so you can look back at them. The homework is very easy and it's exactly like the tests. She's a good teacher and makes sure you understand the work
