I learned more in this class than I ever have in any english class in my life. She teaches everything so clear, but makes the whole class fun. It is some work, but there is NO BUSY WORK. Grades are fair, if you go to class and do your paper you will do well in the class. End of story. You will never forget this class. I recommend to anybody!!!

Very funny and down to earth. She is one of the realest professors I have had. She is extremely clear of what she expects and does a good job at explaining directions for assignments. I took her for comp I and we had to write quite a bit of essays (more than my comp II class) but it deff. makes you a better writer. Ultimately a fun/laid back class.

As my first year at UCF I couldn't ask for a better professor than Richardson. Her class is fun and always made me want to go, I never missed a day because there was always something new to learn. Adele is the English teacher every responsible, humor-loving UCF student should take! I say responsible because you have to do your work to do well, but there will be oodles of fun along the journey. I'm definitely taking her again for 1102...she's the****!

Simply put: If you DON'T sign up for Mrs. Richardson's class, you should kick yourself in the face every day that semester. She's super chill and funny, everyone enjoyed her class; but at the same time she works really hard to bring her freshman up to where they need to be to survive college level composition. Her class was perfect, she's AWESOME.

Simply put, if you manage to squeeze into one of the seats in her class, hang on to it for dear life! Professor Richarson is BY FAR my favorite professor I have ever had. She is hilarious, but also teaches amazingly. I learned a ton from her class and wish I could get her for 1102!

She is by far one of my favorite teachers ever. She is extremely engaging, funny and intelligent. I absolutely loved her class, but that's not to say that class wasn't a challenge. She sets high levels of expectation but gives you the means to achieve them. None of the homework is busy work; all of it builds on each other.

Took for her enc 1101 and 1102. not only hilarious but really knows what she's talking about. you do a bit more work than the other english classes- but trust me it's worth it. she's always willing to help if you need it- make sure you do all the reading responses- they look like they suck but she just grades that you attempted them.

I absolutely loved this professors! She is the best teacher I have had so far at UCF. Her class is not easy but not impossible. You shouold do good on all of the papers if you visit her office hours and actually prove to her that you care. She is hilarious!!! and always interesting! If you take her, you will not regret it. Overall she was a good professor. I loved hearing her stories and listening to her random things. She lets her students pick what they do for the final exam and her class was somewhat tough but recommend her highly.

She is a great professor and very down to earth.Im a horrible writer and ended up with an A in the class. She is a fair grader and easy overall prof. but you have to work hard. This class is very easy as long as you follow her instructions. YOU WILL HAVE A GREAT TIME IN HER CLASS!

Professor Richardson is my favorite professor! She is so funny and she cares about her students succeeding. Participation is part of the grade, so show up to class. She assigns a lot of papers, but they're easy. If you put the work in, you'll get an A. She swears by her office hours, and is always willing to help when you need it!

She's truly an amazing teacher. I was somewhat skeptical at first but she has an awesome sense of humor and really knows how to teach to the point of understanding. Really prepares you for the future/classes. Tons of writing assignments, but if you just stick with it you're bound to succeed.

Richardson was amazing. I spent days trying to switch classes in another term just so that I could have her again. Her sense of humor makes every class fun, and she is very down to earth. She will help you personally if you ever need it at any time. If the class does not understand an assignment, she will move due dates so she can explain it again.

You will never get another professor as funny and as friendly as this one. There will be a lot of writing, but she will go out of her way to make sure all students do well. I will take her again for ENC1102. If anyone asks who to take for english, this is the professor!

Ms.Richardson is by far, the best Professor I have met at UCF... she is so funny and down to earth! I strongly recommend you take her! You'll be lucky if you can get a seat!

THE BEST TEACHER I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. I took her for 1101 also, and I'm trying to convince her to teach other classes than just 1101 and 1102. I would take her every semester if I could. If you keep up the work you should have no problem. If she sees you putting in the effort, she'll make sure you do fine! :)

Professor Richardson is awesome! I had her over the summer and she is just too funny. She likes for her students to learn and does not want her students to look bored. She goes out of her way to help. There's a lot of work but you'll definitely learn alot in class as well as enjoy it. Book was definitely used all the time.

Professor Richardson was literally one of the best English teachers I have ever had. I was never a good writer but literally I walked into her class scared and am walking out confident. She really breaks things down for you and makes the class relaxing and enjoyable!Her classes fill up really quick though so take her when you see her open!!

Professor Richardson, a great English professor who is willing to help each student improve their writing skills. Attendance is required and papers are not easy. In order to get a high B or low A, u must overachieve from the beginning of the semester to the end. She is not an easy-grader, but you will learn to write better in all you do.

I loved her so much i took her for enc1102 also. She does give weekly assignments but each has a significant point for the final assignment. She keeps class interesting and makes everyone laugh. She is always helpful after class and at office hours. Go to class, follow guidlines and "dazzle" her and you will get an A.

My absolute favorite teacher ever! Professor Richardson wants every single one of her students to get an A and does everything she can to set you up to succeed. She doesn't require buying a textbook, only printing out a few readings. You have to go to class (you're allowed two absences) but she is hilarious and entertaining, so you won't mind!

This professor made class enjoyable in a subject I had rarely liked before. It is a composition class so prepare to write, however you aren't just thrown into a 12 page paper. It is a front weighted class. The professor knows it is a required class but I never once felt like I had to be there. It was enjoyable and truly improved my writing.

Professor Richardson is such a nice lady, she is very helpful and her door is always open. Any questions I may have had she answered right away and made sure I understood. The only problem I had was her major papers, they were very complex and somewhat hard to understand her expectations. Overall great lady she's funny, cracks dirty jokes.

Attendance isn't mandatory, but it makes a lot of sense to go to class because the material requires your interactive attention. She gives great feedback, has a raunchy sense of humor, and will make you laugh without a doubt. I looked forward to this class. Some projects weren't fun (due to crap teamwork) but the experience was worth it!

I took her mixed mode class, so we only met once a week, but that was all that you really needed. Everything is submitted online, but keep track of it, it can build up. Just put in the time, and you'll pass.

I wish Professor Richardson taught every class I need to graduate! I learned a lot in her Professional Editing course. She is hilarious and keeps each lecture interesting and open to discussion. adele was great! we had three major papers, and they all worked together to help write the huge final paper at the end. she is so helpful and will answer any questions you have. the paper is 9-12 pages, but if you pick a topic you like it's a lot easier than you think. she's super sarcastic, so if you can't take a joke don't take this class.

She grades on the A- scale so you need like a 94 for an A. For a class that people take just cause its required she grades harsh, she looks to take away points more than to give you. The little things will get points taken off. Good isn't good enough for her, there's no such thing as perfection in her eyes. Her feedback is good though. Not a easy A

Amazing class, very well organized, three major papers then a final exam. Professor is extremely caring and will acknowledge your efforts. . She gives back great feedback for you to improve which I found to be extremely helpful. The class itself is very organized and easy. If you do everything that is required, easy A! :)

The professor is always available--she answers email quickly. There was a lot of homework and we used the books every week. I learned a lot tho. Just do the work and youll get a decent grade.

Professor Richardson taught me a lot. You can tell she cares about the subject and that she wants you to learn and succeed. There is reading involved and homework. She gives you one chance to do-over any assignment (except for the mid-term, quizzes, and final of course) you feel you can do better on. Her feedback is helpful too.

I learned A LOT in this course and did all the work that was assigned however I still barely passed. Richardson gives A LOT of group projects and if your project partners mess up their work, it reflects on your grade. Since it's an online course during a pandemic and nobody was taking it seriously, my work suffered A LOT.

Apropos for corporate careers. 3 very complex assignments using Track Changes, APA style. Team up with classmates who influence your grade. Reading intensive - 3 textbooks. No credit for late work.

Best English Professor I've ever had and made me actually enjoy writing for once. She gives back great feedback and doesn't grade too hard. There were 9 discussion post, 3 essays, and a couple other writing assignments. The final essay was quite doable, especially with the work from other classes. I do suggest to buy the writer text book.

Solid choice! She gives work that requires a bit of thinking, but it leads up to each major paper. Dosent require you to use writing lab, but its a useful tool. I took this course completely online, hence why attendance was not mandatory. Professor Richardson is a very empathetic human and genuinely cares about her students. She gives detailed rubrics that clearly lay out what is needed for each assignment. There's 2 major papers and the final exam is a self-designed website covering what you've learned.

I felt interested in what I was learning and gained so much practical experience. VERY fair grader with clear rubrics and some extra credit. Light work load, mainly discussion posts and a few editing assignments that are not difficult and easy to understand. 2 required textbooks, the Saller one is so useful and a nice read. Easy course lovely prof.

Even though the class was online, she did an amazing job in including assignments that enhanced our reading & writing abilities and that connected us to our classmates! She made many reminders and provided great feedback. I was a little confused about the final project's setup, but she was there to answer my questions. :D
