needs to learn how to write a test, worst prof ever.

She told me once that women were smarter than men, and I had to accept it. She cited studies with IQ tests, which are notoriously unreliable. She was ridiculously boring, unknowledgeable, but an easy class. Condecsending, as well.

If you have read the other reviews they have pretty much hot it on the head. Easy A, boring classes, focuses on her hobby topics and picks faviorites from the ethnic people in the class. Not good at all if you actually want to take sociology for a magor/minor

I don't understand what she teaches us. The lectures are all over the place and the exams have nothing that she has talked about in class.

She belittles students in class, has no manners when it comes to addressing students!

got her as a replacement, what a terrible prof. Her tests are full of mistakes and her lectures leave a lot to be desired. She seems constantly confused, only talks about her opinion and then tests arbitrarily out of the text, she doesn't respond to student concerns. No control in the classroom. Very disappointed.

I got A's in all of my other class and did very poorly in her class. Got her as a replacement because our other prof. became ill. What a drag she is a horrible prof. I would not recommend her to anyone. If you get her as a prof. RUN and RUN fast. She treats the students like they are stupid and doesn't lecture on anything that will be on the exam!

worst prof. ive ever had. she gives assignments a few days before a final. shes stupid all around. she is uncapable of helping other and never e-mails back. she has the morst tests in the world they have nothing to do with her lectures!! if you get her pick up your**** and run for your life!!!

She treats you like you are an idiot. When you ask a question she will zone out then answer no, or she will stare at you incredulously and ask if you were paying attention at all. If you want to know about the term paper or the exams her only answer is to check the syllabus, which contains no pertinent info. She always arrives late, up to 30 mins

If you are interested in this course then you might survive it with her. She's border line stupid and arrives for class 20 - 30 minutes late, and doesn't care about her students, Would not recommend her at all..

Mutters under her breath and thinks I am stupid. Followed me around campus whistling the beetles, very strange.

I honestly have nothing good to say about this prof. Her "essay" assignments carefully itemize your paragraphs in point form (HELL if you're a free thinker) and her heavily-multiple choice exams are 80% commonsense, 10% class material and 10% cryptic or ambiguous questions. And sadly, everything else people are saying about her is true. AVOID HER.

worst prof ever.. always take the perspective of racism or feminism on everything or expect a low grade.. dont go to class because she is always late(usauly for 30 - 45 mins)and actualy has no idea what she is talking about..any questions will be answered by caling you an idiot and telling you to read your book.. if you get this prof drop the class

Terrible prof. Very often late, doesn't really know whats going on, and issues terrible tests that are all multiple choice with little to do with discussions in class. Just read the text. She makes you feel you have the IQ of a napkin if you ask a question, and doesn't answer anyways. Worst "lectures"(if thats what you'd call them) ever.

This class is awful, she talks and talks each class - nothing of it ends up on the exam. So after doing horribly the first midterm after studying her notes, i studied the textbook for the next midterm and did even worse. She is not conclusive to a good mark at all.

Don't bother attending class. The exams are 100% from the textbook, so your time would be better spent reading the text and making your own notes. I attended two classes before resigning myself to the fact that she is a useless prof. She doesn't understand Canadian accents, and so will completely misinterpret and/or ignore any questions asked. RUDE

I get more frusterated every time I attend this class. It is useless. She teaches from a powerpoint that is straight from the textbook (it even references the pg. #s). But she gets so off topic you have no idea what is happening. She blabs and blabs for 1.5 hrs. Anyone could teach her course, as long as they can work a powerpoint and read.

RUN She is the rudest teacher I have ever had i will refuse to take another class with her If you have a choice run if you pick her be prepared to be offened. Started with 60 and had about ten were showing by the end of oct if u have to take it i would say dont go easy to read it on ur own all the ?s are out of her notes she gives u at the start

Absolutely the worst prof i have had ever.! She talks down to you and makes you feel absolutely retarded. If anyone has a chance to get out of her class DOO IT.! She is absolutely useless and even if you go talk to her one on one she belittles you. RUN

This teacher is absolutely horrible. She is very rude to her students. The day we got our midterms back she called out the first and last name AND THEN THE MARK!!! About half way through people were saying "can you please stop reading the marks?" and "why are you reading the marks out loud?" She continued to read out all the marks anyways. ILLEGAL

THIS TEACHER IS EXTREMELY RUDE TO HER STUDENTS, READS MIDTERM MARKS OUT LOUD W/ STUDENT NAMES, IS LATE FOR CLASS OFTEN, AND JUST IS ALL AROUND A HORRIBLE TEACHER. RUN IF YOU GET HER, DROP THE CLASS!!

I have never encountered a professor that was more rude or less helpful. I doubt you read these Dr. Yesefu, but If all of your students are finding something unclear, it would be a good idea to answer their questions in class to to clarify your unclear instructions. The problem is not them it's you!

Very simple assessment of this "professor:" she is a f#%$ing joke. Would probably be easy to get a good mark in this class, but she makes you hate the class so much that it is quite frustrating. This is by far my easiest class, but my worst mark... She more qualified to be a janitor.

This instructor is nearly impossible to understand, and she hammers on a simplistic point for hours - literally. Yes, I know what the word means. Despite being late, she insists upon giving marks for attendance. Unless you want to bang your head off a desk every class, avoid this instructor.

Very rude to students and calls them stupid if you have to ask a question, makes you feel unintelligent and stupid. Incredible hard to understand when she's talking. Posts notes on Blackboard before classes and does not take attendance so if you can teach yourself at home, do it. Avoid this class at all costs.

She's a terrible teacher. She is extremely rude to students and thinks she is a Sociology God. If you ask questions, she will get mad & go off on a tangent about how dumb you are. The class consisted of a 8-pg research paper that was basically just completion marks, 2 midterms and a non-cumulative final. Just read the textbook and you'll pass

She is an awful and very rude professor. The slides she reads off of are word for word from the textbook. If you read the textbook instead, you will pass with flying colours; that's what I did. She has test questions on examples FROM THE TEXTBOOK that are not covered in class, so read the tb and you'll be fine. EASY gpa booster for sure.

Had her for soc 100 and was a brutal class, half of our students would leave before the end of class. Super boring and her exams were based off of common sense.

Midterm questions based on in class discussions. Basically just read the book. Didn't have a friendly demeanor and calls you out if you aren't paying attention. Has lots of funny stories to tell though

She showed up late to class at least once a week. Rude to people when they ask questions. A lot of midterm questions taken directly from the textbook and not discussed in class. She marks crazy easy for the research essay though, it's basically a completion mark.

Worst professor at MacEwan ever. Rude to students, and she either doesn't show up half the time for class or office hours or strolls in 10 minutes late and rushes through 16 slides in 20 minutes. Not really sure how or why she's still a professor...

This is worst prof I have ever encountered. She was late to nearly every class, does not use blackboard at all. Her slides are exactly what the text book says. Her lectures are very bias in favour of her Christian and Traditional beliefs. She no-showed my final and the term paper was a joke because everyone got 100-110%. Shes peaked.

The class consisted of 2 midterms (mc and small essay), a paper, and a final. She marks super easy on the essays and most of the multiple choice is directly from the textbook.

Absolute worst prof I have ever had. Does not care about you as a student, she never cares to help. She replies to emails- but not with answers. Every time I'd email her a question, she would tell me there's enough information said about this. Try to avoid her if you care about your mark and your well-being honestly. Stubborn and hard to deal with.

Absolutely awful. Taken as a condensed summer class as a fourth year. asynchronous. Conflicting grading criteria, the expectation is to read the entire textbook as well as take quizzes on one specific day with zero flexibility. comprehensive final with a nonexistent study guide or midterm to go off of. course content disappears after due date.

I found her "teaching" abysmal. It was very clear that she wasn't wanting to be teaching a summer class and lacked motivation. Her feedback was minimal and non-helpful. She appears only to use other professors' material, none of her own. Not enough room to fully describe her ineptness. She didn't even fill out her introduction.

In emails she incorrectly spells your name when replying, not understanding at all and did not engage once with her students this whole term.

I'm currently taking it asynchronous, and it is so much work. This class should be easy, but she makes the workload very heavy. The modules she puts up online are useless since all the quizzes are solely from the textbook. There is no use to read through the modules if it doesn't even help prepare for the quizzes. Just read the whole textbook.

the professor demonstrated rude demeanour in emails, upon bringing up class material issues I was met with extreme passive aggressive and snarky comments. They expected a particular standard of respectfullness but it was not reciprocated. Only address emails as DR not (Hi, hello, to whom it concerns,) or get your head cut off.

was quite rude when answering emails. her final had some outrageous questions to answer. would not take this prof again as my GPA suffered due to the fact she refused to give me the extra marks for the work I did on an assignment that said was for extra marks in the syllabus

TERRIBLE PROFF AGRESSIVE doesn't teach. final was a joke, tested on useless parts of textbook you would think to skip over. given short amount of time to write, too many questions. 1 quiz stated for you to read the Tb, notes etc b4 asking questions

Worst professor I have ever taken. Does not consider ensuring the course grading requirements are concise, which caused alot of confusion when responding to the discussion. She is not formal in her own writing, and it seems like she doesn't even care about helping her students. Avoid at all costs or prepare to be upset!!!!!

Awful instructor. Conflicting information between online and course outline. Rude and abrasive when asked for clarification. Writing is terrible, poor spelling and incomprehendable for university level. Copy and pastes the course outline in response to questions instead of replying. Disgusted that this instructor is allowed to continue teaching!

She is extremely rude. Questions are not answered when emailed and she insults you if you don't understand. Terrible grammar, which makes the quizzes hard to understand. Copied and pasted information from the textbook and does not explain how assignments are supposed to be done, yet she will get mad at you if you don't do it the way she wants.

I would honestly avoid this prof at all costs. Prof gave horrendous feedback on discussion posts; the rubric/criteria for said posts are poorly explained and contradict what is being asked. Fair amount of reading since she does not provide any useful information or it is literally copied and pasted right from the textbook (not useful for any quiz)

I believe you get out of a class what you put into it, however, that is not the case here. Avoid this professor at all costs. Teaching in non existent, the syllabus and course has conflicting information, quizzes are poorly worded and the feedback on discussion posts is poorly written (shouty caps, poor sentence structure). DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS.

HORRIBLE. She responds to emails in the rudest way. She grades the discussion unbelievably tough. Quizez and finals are from the textbook, but I always ran out of time and was never allowed to view the quizzes. I didn't learn anything, there were no lectures and no help at all. The only thing nice about the class is that it's open book and online.

I'm not sure how she's still able to work at MacEwan, given the horrid reviews. Her feedback on discussion posts was extremely rude.She gave me an 8/10 and said I didn't talk about the topic when I did. I dislike her attitude. The modules are messy. Just memorize the textbook because she doesn't teach anything. Thankfully, this course was online.

Rude. Feedback on discussions was borderline mean. She trashed my use of paragraphs while simultaneously making about ten thousand grammatical mistakes.
