I can say that Aderson is the best professor in Centennial in terms of engaging with his students and staying very close to them. He explains with enthusiasm. He uses many ways to keep the class interactive. All his classes are recorded which is beneficial with such a heavy course. If not with Aderson, I don't think I would have succeeded.

Before posting, I decided to read the previous comments, and, seriously, these creatures (I'm not even calling them "students") who want to blame the professor for their poor performance make me laugh (I'm just trying to be kind; actually, they make me feel other things)! One of them just cannot be talking about the same person! Just ignore them.

Aderson is not only one of the best professors I ever had (and this is my 4th degree, meaning I had a lot), but also one of the best human beings I ever met which is something truly rare to find! It's even hard to talk about his qualifications. Read all the serious reviews, and still it won't be enough to give you a glimpse of how amazing he is!

Aderson is a great guy and a good instructor. Grading isn't easy, but it's 100% fair so do your due diligence and ask for help if you need it. As long as you go to class, do the practice, and learn from your assignments then tests will go fine and you'll do great. Also we had access to bonus marks which is cool!

He was an incredible professor, all time trying to make the class easy he gave a lo material to follow and exercises to do before the assignment to understand how to do it, his class was incredible amazing with all the necessary information and quality. Aderson is a cool dude, he gives you lots of examples. If you do the examples, you will do well in his class. Plus he also gives bonuses. So it's almost impossible to fail his class.

People found the midterm hard (I sort of did too, I got an A- I think). IMO, this is a good thing because coding won't always be easy and it really challenges you to perform under time constraints. Lectures are relevant to the tests, easy bonus marks every week by listening to bonus marks. Just be careful to choose good group members for projects.

He's caring a lot. He uploads on youtube so we could watch it again (it was before COVID and on campus). If you have enthusiasm for SW development and take his course, you must pass this course with a high grade; A or A+. Very organized course and everything is provided. he cares students a lot even when after the end of his course.

Extremely helpful in and out of class. Funny and charismatic. I enjoyed all the lectures taken. It had quite a bit of content, but I was able to blast through it with ease because of the clear explanations from the prof! He also had clear grading criteria and explained everything throughout.

Overall a great teacher. He has a Spanish accent, but he does not speak fast so it shouldn't effect your learning. He provides examples during class that reflect the assignments you'll be receiving. He's also really helpful during office hours where you can connect 1-on-1 via Microsoft Teams.

Makes sure you understand concept by continually repeating them and explaining them every time they come up through the semester, does a lot of in class demonstrations to help with up coming homework assignments, always takes up the homework in the next class to ensure everyone understands everything. If you miss anything in his lectures, and let any details slip, they will come back to bite. But besides that, he tells you everything you need to know, and beyond that too. Recordings make it easy to look back on all lectures!

His initial presentation was not particularly friendly, and made me concerned that this would be a difficult course. He did however warm up and become vastly more helpful than anticipated. He is also quite knowledgeable in his field and could typically explain the solution to problems fairly well.

Professor Aderson is awesome, 10/10 would take again. Very tech savy, has a youtube channel. He is clearly passionate about teaching and it shows. He explains complicated topics very clearly and gives students tons of opportunities to practice the material and ask questions. The course itself is also structured really well.

He explained things in a linear manner & taught at a rate perfect for beginners. He handled questions from students really well -- if the answer was only to the one student's benefit, he deferred the student to the end of class and didn't waste everyone's time on it. His assignments were challenging enough to be fun. Loved this class!
