WOW, Professor Vintu is a phenomenal instructor. Test are multiple choice, but impossible to guess. All calculators are allowed. For TI-89 students who know the calculator. Guaranteed B. Very helpful, plus explains calculus in a way one can understand, instead of memorizing formulas. Anyways, as a teacher myself, I would recommend this Professor.

Earned an A in Cal I and B in Cal II. It benefits the student to know Trig and be familiar with analytical geometry for success.

I JUST GOT OUT OF MAT 1033 WITH MS.VINTU AND I MUST SAY SHE IS A WONDERFUL MATH TEACHER AND THE ONLY WAY SOMEONE COULD NOT DO WELL IN HER CLASS IS IF THEY DON'T PAY ATTENTION WHEN SHE IS TEACHING BECAUSE SHE LIKES TO SHOW INFORMATION STEP BY STEP AND GO OVER THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER TO ENSURE THAT EVERYONE IN THE CLASS UNDERSTANDS.

This teacher is awesome. She goes at a pretty steady pace and she's extremely helpful when you don't understand. The workload can be a bit heavy if -you- let it build up on you, but homework is due on test days. Tests seem a bit harder than homework problems, but they reflect what she teaches on the board. Very good class.

Easy class if you attend, take notes, and do homework. She is willing to help if you ask. She provides practice tests on Blackboard. She taught until the last minute of class so don't expect to get out early. Overall easy class and nice teacher.

Because of Professor Vintu I actually like mathematics to the extent of doing really akward equations. SHe was very helpful. Yeah you should take her.

As far as math teahers go shes as good as it's gonna get! Doesn't really grade homework just gives you credit for trying. Test are mult. choice. I'm taking her again for Statistics!

This professor is excellent. She teaches from the book, but shows you her own way of solving problems that are not in the book. They are much easier her way!! I went in knowing nothing and came out with an A+. She not only taught me math, but made me enjoy doing it.

Ok here's the deal. Pros: very nice, willing to stay after to answer questions, encourages u 2 ask questions during class, will take time 2 make sure u understand before she moves on, hw boosts ur grade, tests r multiple choice. Cons: has a VERY HEAVY Romanian accent, when showing problem steps she sometimes speeds up to a very fast pace.

Ms. Vintu is a great professor! I took her MAT0024 class first and am currently taking MAT1033 with her. Explains everything thouroughly. Homework is just checked to see if done, not if the answers are right. Lowest test grade can be redone and then lowest grade dropped after that. Nothing unexpected. Would highly recommend

I took Ms. Vintu for MAT0024, MAT1033 & MAC1105! She is AWESOME! You will have 5 tests. She drops the lowest test grade. She will explain the steps to do each problem and you WILL understand! If not, she will help you anytime! You will also get points for doing your homework and coming to class. You won't regret taking any of her classes!

She's a nice teacher with alot of patience.This class is taken on computers so yu can do your assiqnments home but quizzes&tests are to be taken in class.Even thouqh you can work on your pace,its mandatory you stay on task because the deadline will sneak up on you.

Professor Vintu is awsome, if you take very, very good notes. Make sure you ask real questions and you will be in great shape. Of course study and do all assisgned homework problems. Oh yaeh come to class because that helps your grade, especially if you pay attention in class. It's a done deal an A for you!!!!!!

Professor Vintu is a good professor for those who understand/enjoy math.She would teach us one way and the computer another which made the work difficult to understand. She did not drop any test grades and did not go over the last section in the book but still riequired us to do the homework/test/quiz/final with these problems.

Professor Vintu is a very patient instructor to the point to her student take advantage of her kindness. Test are through MathLab, but she is willing to come to class early to help, get tutors...she will go out her way to help the student succeed, there is no reason for anyone to fail unless they are not trying. I highly recommend Professor Vintu.

Professor Vintu is an AWESOME professor. You will take a lot of notes from the board, but she will stop and answer any questions. She has a STRONG desire for students to succeed. Must take class! Professor Vintu gives easy tests, homework is checked for completion and attendance is for a grade. You must put a little effort on your behalf to understand the material, you may feel somewhat lost at times but she makes up for it on the tests. She is a very good looking lady and a fun class to take!

She is on my top 5! She is a great proffesor, and the way she teaches is awesome! She helps you a lot. Just do your homework, even if you failed a few problems, she will put a check mark. She dropped the worst grade of the tests. Test every other week, but she explains until you get it. The class can get a little boring, but I do recommend her.

I LOVEDDDD HER! She was so helpful and never gave up on me. i rarely went to her class and slacked off on the work at first she suggested i dropped the class but i told her i can do it. She stayed on me about finishing the class and i ended up with a B! she even let me take my final the day after i was supposed to take it!

Very good professor. Will take the time you help you understand. Has a very simple teaching method. But I don't think her English comprehension is top notch, you have to explain a lot of stuff.

If you take this class 2 days a week it will one computer day and one lecture day. Lecture day is very boring. she rambles on and on never really gets to the point. takes for ever. But is very helpful and understanding. I basically taught myself because it took forever to get thru the lessons. Make sure you don't procrastinate.

Whenever i take a math class her name is the first i search! i'm awful at math but i passed her classes twice she gives a lot of notes which are really helpful not many quizzes tests are easy if you studied, not so bad if you did not. did not stress attendance but she does follow school policy her accent is strong but understandable

This class is very easy. I took Ms. Vintu for intermediate algebra and once I seen that shes also teaching College Algebra I made sure I took her again. We had 5 test and whenever we took a test homework was due, the test were 25 questions each. Class is very boring and she made sure she took advantage of EVERY minute but it wasn't hard at all.

Professor Vintu is one of the best math teachers I have ever had. I took her for Calculus I and wish that I could have taken her for higher level maths. She is helpful and kind. Participate in class, do your homework, and study for the tests.

I enjoyed having Ms. Vintu as a teacher. First, after she puts down her belongings, she begins her daily lecture. If you are confused, she tries to help clarify. She also let us know that we could come to her for help during posted hours. This meant a lot because other professors tell you to go to a tutor. It shows she cares about your grade.

She has a bit of an accent so if you can't respect that, don't take her. She is genuinely the sweetest person, as long as you show her you're engaged, she will always help and be supportive of you as her student. The class is an "easy A" if you do All the work. Also she can make any difficult subject sound simple without being condescending

Professor Vintu gives you a workable hw load, compared to my previous Pre-Cal class. She workouts out the problems from the textbook in class. If you have any questions regarding the homework she will work them out. You turn your homework in when you take the test, which to me allows me to review my homework. I would take her again.

She is very engaging with the curriculum in her lectures, most of them are online, however, she still does her best to help her students. The tests can be hard if there is no way to get to the modules that she provides but the powerpoints do also help with the homework even though the powerpoints don't cover most of the problems it still does help.

I had the pleasure of having Professor Vintu as my Elementary Algebra professor. She was concise, clear, in-depth as well as constantly reaching out to touch base if I ever needed assistance. She also provided the option to work on past modules to improve my grade so that I would be satisfied with the score I earned.

This class moved from the classroom to online due to Covid 19 but she was virtual live for each class, so you were able to see her work out problems and answer questions directly. You must participate in this class. Mathlab was a requirement for this class, no book

Professor Vintu is amazing! In this pandemic she has been extremely caring and understanding of everyones life. Her lectures were long, but really informative and she answered questions as best as she could. She even offered to email you with more information after her online lectures to make sure you got it. I wish I had her for every math class!

Ms. Vintu is very nice. Used MyMathLab w/ no Canvas. What I didn't like was the mid-term/final was over half the entire grade. This means if you want to get an A you can't play around and you got to come in and put in the work. Study yourself and use outside resources. This was not an easy A but I'm happy because I actually learned something.

Highly recommend! Her lectures were easy to understand. Homework wise, you use myMathLab: you have at least three homework and one quiz a week. BUT they are unlimited in tries, and she'll take the highest score. For midterm/final, she unlocked everything to help us get to the highest grade we can. Great teacher!

Not that bad of an online teacher. She's very nice but the only thing that's bad is that the camera quality is hard to see. A good thing is that she lets you do homework and quizzes multiple times, however, you must study for the mid and final exam because you only have two tries. I say take her if you need an A or B if you need to pass math.

I think she was a very good professor and at first I was worried about how she explained the lessons, but in the end I did think she was helpful. She is pretty caring as far as I could tell, which can sometimes be hard to find in college. I would take her class again!

Overall Ms.vintu had a very easy class that was all completed through Pearson. there was a lot of homework but it was all easy and can be done if you manage your time correctly. The online portion isn't mandatory so you are able to work at your own pace per week. But if you need constant communication, consider a different professor. 9/10 overall!

To clarify, I took MAT0022, but that wasn't listed as an option. Monica is a fantastic lecturer and provides examples for every learning type. Because her lectures are so detailed there was no reason to go through the multimedia lectures in MyMathLab. Homework is heavy, but necessary. I would 100% take another class with this professor.

She made math feel approachable as an adult returning to school. A very kind lady who was happy to help answer any questions, she explained things very thoroughly and would offer different approaches if the first was unclear. I want her as a math professor again SO bad.

Prof. Vintu's class was manageable with good time management. The online format allows flexibility, but midterm and final exams require solid preparation. unstuckstudy and other resources were helpful for study prep.
