He know about a computer problems and seem like he willing to help all student that have a questions even the class is huge (900 students). He got a bit of accents but his slow talk and extensive explanation make it understandable.
He is nice and helpful instructor.
The class content look pretty easy at first but turn out to be not. CS113X have a lots of assignment so you need to prepare and you will be fine. This professor give you something that useful beyond whats in book.
This class start off very easy on few first week but turn to be quite hard. Content is useful anyway.
this class is good and I learnd a lot of useful techneqe from this class. If you attend lecture section then it will save a lot of time on prepare for the exam.
This look like an easy class but trust me it is not. Just go to class and listen to this professor will save you days reading books for exam.
He is very helpful, you can just go to see him even a small probelm
I took his course as a pre-business student. He is extremely nice, will go over and above to help you and knows when the class struggles with topics. He wants people to participate in class but the subject matter is tough to get enthusiastic about. Got a 4 for clarity because he is soft spoken and can be difficult to understand on occasion.
You can tell he's a nice guy but all the learning is done out of class because his accent is so strong. I went into his office hours a few times and he is awkward and barely speaks English. He deducts points for every minuscule mistake and you will never know why because his comments are written so poorly.
Great guy, good teaching
This course is so easy. Three assignments per week: super easy hw, one in lab exercise and one capstone project. Just go to lecture for clicker points (10% of grade), I preferred to teach myself from the book. You get to have a front/back 8.5x11 sheet of paper with notes for the test: just put definitions/equation examples on it and you'll get an A
COM S 113 you have 2 lectures with him and one lab with TAs. He takes attendance by clicker/questions and gives points. You can not understand him no matter how close you sit. Nice guy and will try to help but you must reach for it. Recommend getting Access and Excel books. Homework every week - 1 Hw, 2 "Labs" BUT you can do them all in LAB.
One of the best professors that I have had. Teaches the materials, very helpful, and great guy all around. Tests aren't too hard, just come prepared with everything that he puts in his slides. His lectures are often hilarious and he is very passionate about teaching.
He's a really nice guy. He has a strong accent but he's great. It seems like he really likes to teach.
This guy is the best professor I ever had. Class content is easy for me since I already know most of it. Still having a good time in this class. Getting A from Com S 113 is easy, just keep turn in assignments on time. Adisak also making a solution on Facebook page for you to verify it.
GREAT professor. He's so nice and is pretty funny. Lectures are long and will take attendance points, but its an easy A class. Just do the homework and go to the labs. He also posts the pages of the textbook every week that correlates to the assignment, so technically you don't need to spend money on the textbook.
Amazing Professor and very easy class
This guy is savage. Very knowledgeable, quite hilarious, and likes to try new things in lecture. Not afraid to call students out that are trying to beat his clicker point system. If you have basic computer competency then you will get an A in his class with little effort, unless you don't do the clicker points that is. Hit or miss on using books.
If you can find any other professor do it. Language barrier is unbelievable and makes it almost impossible to focus in class. Lectures are mandatory because there are clicker points but they are only for attendance. Everything else is easy. I learn 0% of the course from him and 100% from my lab TA. Good luck
Adisak is the one prof who really cares about the students. if you have a question or are having trouble with the homework hes always there before/after lecture to help out and is always reachable by email. Really fun lecture too, there are clicker questions but he keeps the class up beat and hilarious.
It's a boring class, but Adisak makes it a lot more fun than it should be.
A favorite among many students. Lecture attendance is required, even though you learn very little from them. While he can be difficult to understand sometimes, his lectures are funny and relaxed. Most of the learning comes from lab projects.
Adisak is a beauty. No problems getting an A just do your homework and go to lab
Thanks for everything. You're amazing
This class is huge in Fall. Adisak always try to help you when ever the problem is. He is my favorite professor so far. I learn lots of new tricks from the class.
Best professor ever
Such a great professor. If you have a chance to take this class you should take it. It's not a bad class. Adisak is very helpful if you need help. Always enjoyed going to class and was always looking forward to see what funny thing he was going to say in class. Great just great.
Gives good explanations and makes class fun! Awesome professor!
Awesome professor! Easy class!
Such a great professor. If you have a chance to take this class you should take it. It's not a bad class. Adisak is very helpful if you need help. Always enjoyed going to class and was always looking forward to see what funny thing he was going to say in class. Great just great!
He makes himself readily available to students. If you go to lecture the assignments are easy. Definitely take his class!!
Very outstanding professor. In all honesty, he can be hard to understand at times, but makes up for it with the Facebook Page he created for the class. The lectures can be a bit boring, but it is important to go to them because lecture attendance is a decent chunk of your grade. Try HW assignments early in the week then talk to TA for extra help.
Great instructor, would recommend his class to anyone
Really great class. Adisak does a lot to help everyone out. There is a Facebook page to ask questions, you can use a cheat sheet on the tests, and he drops your lowest homework and lab score.
Adisak is a great professor and I would not take the course with anyone else.
He is amazing! Best professor or teacher I have ever had. Loved by all students:)
Really easy class. He's hard to understand sometimes, but his PowerPoints are there and he is willing to go the extra mile so you do understand. He has setup many helpful tools including the course FaceBook to help. Overall great professor.
Hard to understand. Go to labs and you'll pass the class easily. Exams are easy.
Adisak is a great guy, however I felt he was more interested in trying to befriend/be liked by his students, than actually making sure we grasped the concepts of what he was teaching. Going to lecture was nearly pointless due to the language barrier in a large auditorium, but the labs were VERY helpful.
Give this teacher a raise and his own meme
Adisak is a good guy. More interested in becoming your friend than teaching. Not very professional but a lot of students like that. You can't understand him very well but if you go to labs and somewhat pay attention your very likely to get a B or above.
Adisak is a great professor! Fun and entertaining class. Best experience on ISU so far.
Loved by students. He is willing to go the extra mile to make sure everyone understand. He has setup many helpful tools including the course FaceBook to help. Overall great professor.
This class is very easy. Clicker points are 10 percent of your grade but he gives you the answers. All of your home work is very straight forward and your other assignments are easily done in the lab. You get to make a full page front and back note sheet for all of the tests and there is one extra credit assignment at the end of the semester.
Content was very boring and almost no one shows up to the lectures despite the fact that attendance counts for part of your grade. He's really nice but it's hard to understand him through most of the lecture. Content of the class is pretty irrelevant but it's really easy in my opinion. If you put in the effort you'll get an A easily.
Adisak is hilarious!
He is the nicest professor I ever have.
hard to understand, unorganized, allows one day for tests (will be stuck in VERY long testing center lines), not a great professor
Adisak is hilarious but sometimes difficult to understand during lectures. The class itself is pretty easy in my opinion.
It's not that the class is necessarily hard, the hardest part is making yourself attend the lectures. He's funny and full of memes, but the lectures just drag on and attendance is kept by a semi-faulty app *TopHat* and while it is accessible from outside of the hall-questions are thrown in which only a physical attendee would know.
Adisak does what he can to help students, but his tests are difficult and there's too many assignments, lots of busy work. There's a strong language barrier, you don't learn anything in his lectures. I wouldn't take another class of his.
Adisak is very funny, students tend to love him as a person. But as a professor his class is a little much at times. Count on 3 Excel/Access assignments a week. He lets you use a cheat sheet on the exams, but no worries, you could write down everything from the lectures down on your cheat sheet, and the test will still be difficult.
Lectures normally don't make much sense you can't understand him very well, but go for the top hat points (if I even get points for that). 3 Homework assignments a week and lab required. Not an enjoyable class.
His lectures are boring but you get credit for attending (10% of your grade!). The course quality really depends on your TA. I had a great TA, so I enjoyed the course, some of my friends did not. Didn't even open the books because they posted the pictures of the assignments on the class FB page. Not a difficult class.
Great teacher and tries to make the subject fun. One of my favorite teachers. Lets you use a cheat sheet for exams and the homework isn't too difficult as long as you attend the lab.
Made lecture fun but had quite a bit of top hat so I would suggest going to get those points. The labs were fairly easy and homework was easy as well. Tests were somewhat tough but you had a note sheet for every test which was a major help and he offered like 4 extra credits which I would HIGHLY suggest doing. Overall fun professor.
Best professor I had. There is a lot of workload every week but he is very flexible with the submission dates. He interacted with the students through facebook and his explaining throughout the lectures are very clear.
Super easy class with a cool professor. He tended to ramble, and his accent would come in thick as he deviated from his original point, but otherwise was good. Tests were super easy. He interacted over facebook and was very easy to reach. Also gave us his personal cell number if needed.... All in all , good guy, but super boring(and easy) class.
Dr. Sukul is one of my favorite professors at ISU. He can be hard to understand at times but overall this is a fairly easy course. As long as you do the assignments you can get an A with no problem. Plus he lets you use a cheat sheet during the exams.
He's a nice & funny guy, but his lectures are confusing and boring. Attendance isn't really mandatory, but he uses TopHat almost everyday. He allows a cheat sheet on the exams, and he gives pretty big curves too. He makes a facebook group page and people always post the HW assignments on them, so you don't have to buy the book.
Adisak lectures 2x a week and a T.A. teaches lab once a week. Lectures weren't helpful for me, but had to go anyways for attendance points. Lab is where you learn step by step how to do that week's hw, much more useful to help pass the class. Overall, adisak is nice guy but spent too much time trying to be the 'cool teacher'. Lab attendanceEasy A
Adisak's accent was really hard for me to understand unless I paid extremely close attention, but since his lecture slides and notes were on Blackboard anyway, that didn't end up mattering. Adisak more than made up for that shortcoming with the amount of memes he would share in class, and his overall hilariousness, which made class entertaining.
Loved Adisak, or as my class joked with him, Daddisak. He has a great sense of humor. The class is simple, follow the directions word for word with the homework and you get 100%. He adds points to tests to bump up grades. Also puts an extension on nearly all assignments if asked. Awesome guy, would retake the class just for him as my professor
Adisak is a great professor with an awesome sense of humor. My class called him Daddisak. You definitely need the textbook but you can just share or borrow from someone if you have lab on different days. The lectures are boring and not helpful but definitely don't skip your labs. You can use a note sheet on the tests and he will curve them too.
Awesome sense of humor and prepares you well for tests. Gives lots of top hat points in lectures and lots of extra credit.
I'm so torn on how to review Adisak, so I'll rate him as a professor, and not the class. Honestly, lecture is pointless; you learn everything in labs. However, Adisak is very knowledgeable and from my understanding, wrote the book that you'll be using. He's also hilarious and gives tons of EC opportunities. Put forth some effort and you'll be fine.
Adisak is a hilarious professor. The lectures are pointless but labs are where you learn everything. Go to lab once a week and it is an easy A. He goes over everything on the test the lecture prior to the test and you get a cheat sheet, front and back. There is extra credits, definitely do them and he adds extra points to our test grades.
He is a cool guy, but his accent can be hard to understand. Make sure you always do your homework, and do it right because they take off points for little things. The tests are okay if you do your homework. Plus, you get a cheat sheet on all of the tests. He does TopHat questions in class and basically gives you the answer to most of them.
good job
Absolute beauty, he LOVES memes and is one of the most entertaining professors out there. The whole class calls him daddysack and he loves it.
Great person, very funny teacher. However, his accent is very hard to understand. If you do some of the extra credit theres no point in going to lectures for attendance points. Youll still end up with a man A or B. Top Hat is accessible from home during lectures. Lab is mandatory.
As long as you show up to the lab and follow the TA it is an easy A.
Possibly the best professor I've had in 4 semester of college. Adisak is hilarious, and the best part about his ComS113 class is it's a cakewalk. Plenty of extra credit opportunities in class to allow you to end with over 106%. Just do your homework and labs, and make sure to make note sheets. Yes he does have an accent, but it's easy to understand
Lectures arent 100% required, but he does top hat pretty much every single day, and he pretty much gives you the answers in class. Definitely attend your labs. You get a cheat sheet for exams which is really nice. 10/10 recommended Dadisak!!
Great class! You have 3 assignments due every week but the TAs are super helpful and its easy if you just dont procrastinate
He is a great professor who makes thi class fun. The lectures are a bit are to follow sometimes and a little rushed. Other than that, show up for class and get the homework in on time and you shouldn't have a hard time passing.
You will get an A if you do all your hw and make notes for exams
He is honestly one of the best professors I've had so far! Literally just go to class and the labs, do the assignments and study the night before for exams and you're golden! He's really funny and gives extensions if you ask in person! I loved it.
Big ol 10/10
Adisak is a great professor who cares about his students.
WE ALL LOVE DADDISAK.
Really great professor!
Big Adisak fan
Great professor who makes the class fun to go to!
Daddyask is the best professor at isu
Love the guy. The class is super easy. Just do the homework and you will pass, and remember to show up to the lab times. You can have a cheat sheet on every exam. Extra credit will help if you miss an assignment.
Good class better professor. Can tell he genuinely cares about his students, has a good sense of humor and sets you up as much as he can for you to get a good grade in the class.
Lectures are kind of a joke. I went to every one but I definitely didn't need to. He was kind of hard to understand during lectures but he still made the lectures interesting and he pretty much tells you the answers to the top hat questions. The class was so easy I passed with over 100%. Just go to your labs each week and you'll be fine
He is okay. His accent is a bit difficult to understand, and he goes through the lecture extremely fast. There are quite a few extra credit opportunities throughout the class. Do the homework and attend the labs, and you will pass.
Funniest professor I've ever had. Lectures aren't required but you'll want to go just because of how funny he is. Lots of homework projects but it's all step by step in the textbook. Exams are easy if you go to his review session in class. 10/10 would take again.
Took COMSCI with Daddisak and was really enjoyable, little hard to understand but addresses it and will clarify if you ask. Although lecture was boring, he was funny. Very accessible outside of class through a class Facebook page he makes to post memes and to answer questions.
The class is very well structured and the assignments aren't that bad. Adisak is a funny guy and I enjoyed lecture (although it was boring at times), but it's not necessary for passing class. He uses TopHat for attendance so most people just signed in online from home. He seems to know what he's doing and he genuinely wants you to do well.
Great professor! Easy class!
Great professor and class. The lectures didnt really teach me much but the professor always made it fun. As long as you do the homework and lab projects youll do fine. Everything is graded In a reasonable amount of time and the class is pretty easy if you try. The professor was great and he genuinely wanted all the students to do well.
My favorite professor so far. The lectures are entertaining and he likes memes.
Adisaks class is a lot of fun. He is a hilarious teacher, who essentially goes through memes half the time in class. If your looking for an easy A, take this class. However, if you actually want to learn something, I would suggest looking elsewhere. Adisak is a poor teacher and hard to understand at times. No one pays attention is lectures.
He is super funny. Labs are frustrating but it's not his fault. Maybe you and a friend can split the textbook cost.
Sukul is such a great guy. Very nice and funny!
You could just as easily not show up and learn from the modules online in the textbook. He's a great guy but his lectures are futile.
Meme God
Adisak, or Daddysak as he said we could also call him, is awesome, I had his class online, the course is pretty easy, you use MyITLab for the assignments, they're due every Monday at 6, tests are okay, the second test was a little difficult, but the final isn't cumulative which was nice. He also has great memes in lectures. You'll love him.
Really fun dude and all-around an easy class.
Adisak is a really great guy and very funny. His class can be challenging sometimes especially when you have lecture before you have taken notes for the chapter since he is always one week ahead. The TopHat questions he made us do during lecture were sometimes challenging but easy to get a good grade if you attend your lab.
Really funny, pretty easy class if you've done anything with excel before.
Definitely my favorite class at Isu, so fun and Adisak is a super nice person.
Easy class and very few requirements for work. However he puts very little work in his class materials, and would just throw articles and websites in expecting everybody to just read from the materials. The materials he pass on would not match the classs progress, the final projects requirements are completely out of nowhere.
This class is so easy if you have basic tech skills, but Adisak consistently misses the ball with teaching. He gets ahead of schedule, goes on long rants about things and doesnt even know the answer to some of his own questions. You can learn more from the videos within the homework than you can in class.
Adisak is a great man who is very understanding. He will give you the benefit of the doubt and I respect him a lot
The classwork itself is a grind but this professor definitely does his best to make sure everyone passes with optimal grades.
This class will use a decent amount of time, you spend about 45 min a week on the homework and then you have 2 100 point mini tests each week which is about 2 hours of your time. Do not go to class, but go to the attendance mandatory labs, that is where you learn the stuff for the weeks homework.
The assignments were incredibly easy if you can figure out how to finesse the MyLab system. Don't go to lectures as the assignments are just figuring out where specific buttons are located on Excel/Access. Go to the labs as they literally can do all of the homework for you. The course was 75% homework and 25% exams - get homework done & you'll pass
This course was easy, but I couldn't understand the professor (because of his accent), so attending class was a waste of time. The assignments are pretty straightforward. There is a book, but I never used it. Adisak does a good job of answering questions/giving good directions. I don't recommend a mac computer (makes course a bit more complicated).
Adisak is a pretty laid back dude. I only went to like three lectures at the beginning of the semester and still got an A for the semester. The TAs are generally really helpful with the MyLab stuff as well. Honestly if you sit down and spend an hour on this class a week, easy A.
Very little engagement between professor and student. Attended a few classes and then never went again. Still got an A because the TA's just gave you the answers for the labs and the homework was based off the lab. Could have been an arranged course with no lectures. Not a bad experience, but not a great one.
Com Sci 113 is a very easy class. Did not need to attend lectures during the week. Labs are required but the work is generally easy and the TAs walk you through it. Adisak is a very good professor and very funny as well.
Just finished my summer online semester with Sukul today. I pulled out an A. However, I do have a couple of serious problems with his system. Grades were messed up all the whole semester, and he doesn't respond in a timely manner (usually 2-3 days, after I send a follow up). Good, funny guy tho... my main beef is that he doesn't seem to care much.
Hands down the easiest to understand professor I've ever had! I love how clear and concise his lectures are!
The class is pretty easy if you keep up with assignments. I learned the majority of the information from the homework and didn't learn a lot in the lectures. Labs are optional if you finish the homework for the week.
Very easy class if you get the slides from the TAs, but they didn't advertise it. Lectures used tophat and were extremely annoying. You learn two chapters ahead the entire time, which is confusing and not at all useful. Only takes around 3-4 hours per week.
The class itself wasn't super difficult but the knowledge for the exams isn't very similar to what you do for homework. It takes a good 2-4 hours every week to complete the homework. This class also uses Top Hat for attendance which is kind of expensive. You are also constantly working ahead while trying to complete the previous week.
Pretty easy class. Lectures are kind of useless because you learn everything through the homework but the professor is a nice guy.
Adisak is a great teacher, he cares a lot, he is fun, funny, and engaging. On material both difficult and easy, he has a way of making it all seem like the easiest thing in the world.
All of the content is covered in lecture videos, so the in-person lectures are very sporadic and irrelevant. Going to labs is key to doing well in this class. Quizzes have multiple tests and are fairly easy, but the tests are on topics covered once (but they're online). Overall, this wasn't a hard class, but expect to be on your own for most of it.
Stupidly easy course. Noone showed up to lectures after the first week as this course can be done all virtually. Grading is often unclear and TAs have wildly different criteria. There is a focus on visualization using software which is nice. Not sure I got much out of this course, but it made this semester easier. 1-2 hour time commitment weekly
Mr. Adisak has been a great professor during my freshmen year. One of the most important qualities for a professor is understanding the student body. He extends deadlines when he sees students struggle with a certain topic or module and genuinely wants students to understand the topic.
By far the strangest and funniest class I have taken. Attendance isn't mandatory, but the tophats do contribute to your grade. Doing the lab work ahead of time would allow you to not go to lab.
He is very good at answering questions if you have any. An extremely approachable professor. Online work is heavy via Pearson. Would recommend getting them done in advance before the lecture and lab. Lectures have Tophat questions and there are quite a few, so if you usually skip, your score might be affected.
I am only a month into the semester, and I can already tell that this is going to be my easiest class. Professor Adisak is very kind, and willing to make any accommodations. Attendance is not mandatory, however, I recommend going because he practically gives you the answers to all the homework and quizzes every time. Very minimal work and very easy
I found this professor hard to engage with. I'm sure he knew the content well, but I don't think it always came through in his teaching. Often found myself having to teach the material to myself outside of class even though I went to all the lectures.
this class is not as difficult as some people make it seem. attendance is required for labs, but the labs are only there to help, so GO TO THEM! If you do all your homework and get good scores on the end-of-week assignments, you'll get at least a B pretty easily. with some extra effort, an A is not difficult to achieve. He also added a small curve.
Adisak is a helpful professor and a decent lecturer. Com S 113 is an easy course so long as you stay on top of labs and homework. Lectures are pretty boring but if you pay attention you will learn.
Overall if you attend class and lab you will be completely fine. He is a little bit hard to understand at times but overall not bad.
Adisak is a decent professor for this easy course. Lectures can be dull, but staying on top of labs and homework makes it manageable. unstuck AI was a helpful study tool alongside the free textbook.
Adisak was a great professor. Though the class was boring he often made lectures fun. He was very kind and gracious when it came to answering any questions I had about the class or homework. Attendance isn't mandatory but in-class participation through Top Hat plays a big role in your final grade.
The class isn't very demanding, and the professor is nice. However, having this as an in-person class feels pointless since most of the work is self-explanatory and can be done from your dorm. I didn't gain much from attending, though the online assignments, while sometimes frustrating, weren't too bad overall.
The overall class is light. Adisak is a great guy, but the lectures are boring. If you do all the work on MyLabIT, you'll get an A. His TopHats are worth credit but very easy questions.
Overall wasn't too difficult of a class and Adisak was ok at explaining material. His lectures weren't too beneficial to the weekly assignments and you'll find yourself doing everything on your own. I would recommend taking this class online if you get the opportunity.
The lectures were unhelpful and didn't provide the necessary information. Most learning had to be done independently, making Zybooks assignments difficult due to little guidance. Labs felt like just following the TA rather than applying concepts. The course lacked clear instruction and integration, making it ineffective. You will learn nothing.
This class is easy if you use AI or copy from what the TA shows. Will you learn something valuable from the lectures? No.
His lectures are him rambling and not actually teaching until the final 5 minutes and then go over the class period time. You will have to learn everything by yourself through Zybooks in super long assignment because he will probably not teach you much. I would say take the class with another professor but he is the only one.
His lectures were so boring, which I feel bad for saying, because he genuinely wants to help you if you show interest in Data Science. However, most of his lectures consisted of him just rambling about vaguely related topics until much later, when at some point he actually talks about the subject matter. Honestly, this is just a ChatGPT class.
This was the Intro to AI Class but I couldn't find it on the list. As long as you tried and submitted mostly clompleted work, you are good to pass. He's very passionate about this stuff but sometimes can be confusing.
Funniest guy ever.
The online class format is very difficult to follow. For a class with no coding prerequisites, the pace goes extremely fast. I would have liked to see more in-depth lectures, rather than covering topics quickly.
Dont take online- makes easy class way harder. The Canvas page is poorly set up and info is inconsistent. Doesn't respond quickly to email, and grades are entered rarely - it's a fight to get what you need. There's 3 recorded lectures per module, and they are incredibly redundant. Also requires online group project. Helpful in person at least.
Adisak is a really nice guy, but his lectures were not helpful. This course has a substantial amount of homework, and the only way to truly learn it is by attending the labs. The homework was very frustrating and was just busy work. If you can take this class online, I would recommend it. It was overall easy, just the workload was annoying.
THIS IS A FAKE ONLINE CLASS. This class was advertised as fully online, meaning it would include online exams. This was also on the syllabus, but then, during the semester, the professor administered both midterm exams in person through the testing center. Do not take this online, if anything you might learn more in person.
Useless and boring lectures, but the class content is easy.
Mostly easy, with lots of YouTube videos covering the mid-level and cumulative assignments. You don't really have to attend class. Easy class overall, he even opened assignments up for us to redo over thanksgiving break.
Adisak is very kind and cares about his students; he will likely grant any extension. The class is an easy A, but it is taught very poorly. You'll learn very little from the lectures; the labs are only partially relevant. Class was consistently behind schedule because of how often he goes off task, talking about something unrelated.
Class is an easy A, most content can be completed without reading or watching videos. Adisak seems nice, but good luck getting a hold of him. I sent him 10 emails over the semester and received 0 replies. I honestly have no idea what his role is in this course, since the voice in the lecture videos is not his.
Probably the easiest class I've taken, the exams are pretty specific and very vocab/memorization based and at the Testing Center. Up to 10% extra credit if you do DataCamp Exercises. The exams aren't worth much, you can fail both of them and still get an A in the class. Labs are the most important, weekly.
