Very knowledgable and enthusiastic!!!!!
knew his stuff, but was slightly difficult and really nasty if you ever yawned
No Comments
He's cool. Doesn't mind if u turn stuff in late and never takes points off. He is very nice and is always willing to help u.
Nice, but subject matter is not easy. He tries really hard, but you can't help but leave without a headache
Very helpfull, very good teacher, try to stay away from the 7 am class, he has way too much energy for that time of day. I highly recommend him.
Take him and he will take you to IHOP! :)
He is very good teacher but he is very hard. and if you like reading then take with him. he will make you to read a lot. he collects so many papers. but he is good. if you are smart the take him.
he's a little sexxxy hyper nerdy-in-a-cute-way type of guy!
Makes some pretty tough material seem easy. As long as you hand in the papers, you'll be fine.
a lots of reading and stupid subject. he wants 3 projects. he is cool guy but still you have to do all work. he gives you extra credit a lot to pass class. you like reading then take him.
Fabulous writing assistance. Take his course to improve your writing ability. He is an early bird--an awfully perky early bird.
he knows his stuff and assigns readings that are interesting. his test are summaries and he's too picky with your own response. many writing assignments and two exams. he's ok
This is a great professor. I have him at 7am and he has more energy than a 5yr old. He does make you read alot but its ok. I dont like reading ( just in case)
Energetic and an early riser. He assigns a lot of reading, but it is not a difficult class. Three papers and two exams, but you get a great deal of assistance with the papers. His love of the subject is obvious. I'd advise you to take his class.
You will have 3 papers and a journal to hand in every week (something about Mythology). Dr. A covers material thoroughly and makes it interesting. The mid-term and final are open notes .. so, take good notes.
He's very fair and the class is real easy as long as you do the reading ahead of the class discussions. Cool guy and he'll let you rewrite the papers as many times as you want to get an A. Suggest you take him up on it.
I missed ONE assignment and still should have had a B average. He offered me a C or an Incomplete. I took the Incom, did the paper, and sent it to him. The man FAILED me for the semester. A--hole
very perky guy, and soo soo sweet, had him for 7am class and he was the only one that looked alive and outgoing, i dont know how he did it, but anyways, a lot of reading, 3 papers (which u can re-write) and also journal every week, good class discussions
GREATEST Professor ever. His readings really aren't that bad. He's energetic and he really gets the class talking. He's Funny too. He has graded my stuff pretty fairly so far.
Very excited for coming in at 8:30, cool guy and easy to get help from
adarkar is OUTSTANDING!! loved him... very helpful when i fell really far behind. very understanding and flexible. it's impossible not to succeed in his classes... DEFINITELY take him for any subject!!
great teacher... really cares about students and his work... I took this class because it was a requirment and because of Dr. Adarkar and his passion for the subject it was without a doubt my favorite class. TAKE THIS CLASS
Such a nice teacher.. goes out of his way for his students and really loves what he is teaching. He has alot of energy for early in the morning. I would take him again =)
You would be stupid if you did not take his class.
Dr. Adarkar is the man. He's really excited about what he teaches. He's laid back with work and dealines and the class is a lot of fun. He'll take you to IHOP and you get to have class outside when it's warm.
He's gotten harder in grading and you WILL have to rewrite every paper to get a grade...and at 8:30 in the morning its hard to care.
Adarkar is one of the best professors at MSU. He is helpful, kind, and he is real passionate about what he is teaching. On the scale of one to ten I will give Adarkar a definte ten and more !!!
He is brilliant. You will learn a lot and he is overall a very nice man. He loves what he does and makes the class enjoyable. Never cancelled a class the entire semester.
He is very into what he teaches. Maybe a little to into it. Nice guy but I wouldn't take him again. His classes are kind of boring and he really wants everyone to be as into it as he is which isn't going to happen.
Dr.Adarkar is a GREAT man. He is an OUTSTANDING, and BRILLIANT professor. He is VERY passionate about teaching and VERY helpful.3 papers,3 exams, and journals.u can rewrite papers as many times as u want to get better grade.U can do as many EC papers as u want.THE BEST PROF AT MSU.Highly Recommended!
Adarkar is a great professor. I thought the class was going to suck. He made it very enjoyable. 3 take home exams, you get an A if you write enough. 3 papers (you select the topic). He has a lot of energy which helps you keep your focus in class. You go over all reading assignments in class so don't spend too much time on them. Great guy! Take him.
I took him for two courses just because he's the greatest teacher I've had yet. Interesting readings, Easy Tests. Care's ALOT about his students. He makes the atmosphere around you more than comfortable every class. TAKE HIM! I only wish he had more courses
I would highly recommend him. This class is a piece of cake, easy going class sometimes it can get boring especially at 7am. We discuss the reading in class and we have a midterm, final, 3 papers and journal once a week. We can even re-write the papers to get a better grade. OVER ALL GREAT PROFESSOR.
Is an easy professor to get along with, memorizes everyone's names, calls on people for the dumbest things but overall its an easy class. 3 take home tests n papers that are graded very easy... take him if u want a little entertainment in your life. hes always so jolly :)
He lets your re-write papers as many times as you want, and you can meet with him before doing so. Just be willing to participate.
what a nice guy goes out of his way for his students.. very understanding and willing to work with you, its true he is probably the jolliest professors at MSU but it makes the class better !! def. gunna take him again
He is the coolest professor...he is sooo happpy at 7am in the morning. He doesn't take attendance but every class is important. He is a DESI, but a very cool and helpful one...2 exams and 3 papers...lets u do it over and over until ur satisfied with ur grade. easy class
Never take his 7am class. Besides that he's a pretty good teacher.
Awesome teacher! Interesting and motivated at 7am, keeps you awake and the class is interesting, informative and easy. Open books on tests which I learned more with than if I just had to memorize. Do the readings and you will be fine. Correction to the last post,he DOES keep track of attendence, but he doesn't call it out. He is very fair about it.
This class was exactly what every gen ed should be like! You have three take home tests and three papers on each section. You can re-write as many times as you want until you get the grade you want! Weekly journals and discussions on readings during class. He's definitely goofy and very hyper for a morning class, but a nice guy! Liked the class!
very hyper in the morning but overall nice and easy, gives 3 writing assignments that you can rewrite and midterm and final, just pay attention in class, you don't have to read the text, weekly journals count as extra credit at the end for portfolio
Be prepared to put a LOT of thought and time into his readings and very short papers (don't be fooled by 2-3pg max--they're hard). He is an excellent teacher that you can learn a whole lot from. Understanding, helpful, and brilliant... Adarkar is the man.
Dr. Adarkar is one of the kindest, energetic, and mentally stimulating professors I've had. There was more writing in the Reading Asian Cultures course than I thought, but he's always willing to help and really cares about us. I want to tell everyone to sign up for his courses because you cannot go wrong. And the take home exams are a big plus!!
Not a fun class if you are not interested in Chinese, Japanese, Indian (etc.) text. All you do is read (a lot) and its pretty boring. He requires 3 papers, 3 tests, a journal entry every week, and you have to put it together in a portfolio at the end of the semester. I wouldn't recommend this class if you're not interested in the material.
Attendance was not required and he said as long as you make up the work you'll do fine... on the last day of class he told me he was giving me an F bc of attendance issues... which were never stated anywhere... so I wasted my money. I wasn't the only person that he did it to from my class.
A LOT of reading. Makes you rewrite all of the papers, and doesn't give you an initial grade. A little too enthusiastic at 7 A.M. and made the class very boring somehow. Took quite a few people on the side the day of the final and told them they weren't getting credit.
HE IS BORING. TAKES ATTENDANCE. LOTS OF LITTLE METICULOUS PAPERS. NO TESTS. TALKS A LOT. CORNY JOKES. EASY A IF YOU DO ALL THE PAPERS. DEF AN EASY GRADER.
he is a nice guy. journals weekly, 3 easy take home tests & 3 papers. allows you to rewrite papers for a better grade but this is not a college writing class so its annoying. in the end the papers are most of your grade so its kinda stupid. he told me b+/a- for my final grade & i only got 1 b+ so far in college after 73 credits so that made me mad
Really boring prof. not an interesting subject at all, you have to read and write a lot about ficticious things. I wouldn't take him again!
I thought he was really easy and absolutely interested in what he taught which made us all a little more interested. We wrote four papers that all went into a portfolio, we kept a journal every week and he was a fair grader...I really enjoyed this class more than I thought I would
Adarkar is hot, easy-going, fair, and fun. Take him.
The class is nice. Adarkar is a great professor! Very passionate about his studies even though we might not be. But still, he is VERY NICE. He has essay exams, definitely rewrite your papers, it'll boost up your grade. All you need is 10 journals and any more journals are extra credit! Buy the textbooks, you need to, or borrow from the library. Go
I couldn't stand his class! He was SO boring... made corny jokes... very anal about attendance and tardiness.. i was absence once and was late once.. and he gave me a 1.5 for absence.. ??? He is NOT helpful when you ask him to help you with ur papers... hes a weird grader, easy but weird. he qwill never give you 1 straight grade hATE this class!

Adarkar is really anal about the seminar going the way he wants it, but he does make the theories of different philosophers relevant to our time. He's a fair grader, but will never tell you exactly what the different grades mean. You can rewrite all your papers as many times as you want. No midterm, just a final paper.
India and Democracy was an interesting class. At the midterm I still had no clue what the class was about. and Vedwan try to engage the class in discussion and sometimes unsuccessfully. A lot of my peers complained about Adarkar being uptight and a tough grader but I can't see why. Take some time for the essays and you will do fine.
Very helpful professor. Dr. Adarkar is always energetic even when the class is lifeless and unresponsive. He really cares about what he teaches and I respect that. My own level of interest may have swayed during the semester but he's very understanding and comfortable to talk to. Always good class discussions.
Probably one of the best professors in MSU. He was very passionate about the subject and helped you whenever you asked. I would take him again if I could.
Discussions in class were alright but sometimes very boring. the papers are annoying to write only because he is picky with the "claims" you write about based on the novels you have to read. i dont recommend the class if you do not want to read 3 books and write papers on them.
He seems cool and his claims seems interesting. but never clear about the grades. If you go see him at office hour, he could be A hole. he insults you pretty bad. should not take him for an easy grade
His class is really boring..I fall asleep during lecture. He is very unclear about grading. He is very strict regarding interpretive claims.
Class is mostly boring, unclear how he grades, very harsh with his criticism and when you talk to him personally outside of class, pretty much rude. doesnt really give any encouragement and tells you to drop the class/file for withdraw, and doesnt tell you if your papers are alright or not unless you ask and its too late if he doesnt like it.
Super passionate but pretty difficult. Very unclear about the grading criteria. He'll give you a grade and not really explain why. Loves what he teaches but doesn't explain it too well. He is all over the place, scattered, but a good guy
Adarkar is the man. I love him, his teaching style, what he stands for as a professor. He is super intelligent, always has sources to back up his information, and he is very easy to talk to. He will notice the interest and effort you give in class and assignments and will grade you accordingly. He's overall a great professor.
Awesome prof. Class is about self-improvement. Sets valuable foundations for working to your fullest potential inside and beyond the classroom.
Boring class!! No homework, just read. Attendance is not mandatory and very unclear how he grades. Midterm is open note and basically sparknote every thing that you read.
Really good professor. Tries to make the class interesting. Flexible with handing in work and there isn't too much work overall. There are weekly journals but they only have to be a paragraph. Offers help whenever you need it.
He is such a good professor! He makes class interesting, is very easy to talk to and you can tell he loves the subject he teaches. He knows that not everyone is good at writing so he allows us to rewrite our essays. One paragraph min. writing journals every week. Take him if you can!!!!
He's quirky, but cool. I enjoyed this class. He is really passionate about the subject and gives his lectures as if he were telling us a story, with voice intonations and all. He's also kind of funny. Class is easy, with only a couple writing assignments, which you are allowed to rewrite.
This course is easy if you take good notes. He does not take attendance, but he will know who shows up for class and who doesn't. It's easy to tell because all the papers and assignments are right from class discussions. Downside: the class does get boring after a while.
easiest A. not a lot of work. just read the books and take notes and try to participate because the class can be boring
Prof. Adarkar is a nice, funny, and passionate man. The only downside to his class is you don't really understand what he's saying. He needs to improve on his teaching skills. I can never understand what he says because he mumbles and talks quietly and the notes that he puts on the board are messy. On the bright side, easy A.
One of the best professors I've ever had at MSU. Anyone who says different is a liar. If you are like me, and suck with deadlines, etc. he let's you hand in assignments whenever you can. He is one of the smartest and funniest men I have had the honor to get to know. He is simply dope. Show up to class and read, and you'll be fine.
I love Dr. Adarkar! He is so passionate about mythology and really wants you to be too. He is so understanding when it comes to due dates and knows we all have our own personal lives. Even when the class is dead he tries to make it fun and interesting. Midterm is open book/notes, EASY weekly journals, 2 writing assignments, and a final. THE best!!
Final grade is based off of 12 journals, 3 papers (on 3 books), midterm, and a final. Never takes attendance. Lectures were long and boring for me because I had no interest in the class. As long as you do your work, you can pass the class. Little effort is required but he is a tough grader for the papers. Pretty easy A, just do your work.
Easy A class for a general education credit. The lectures can be kind of confusing because he sometimes goes off topic, but the tests and final are open notes, open book. He also lets you do rewrites on papers if you want a better grade. He's really nice too. Can't get any easier than that.
Take This class, You can't go wrong. If you have a tough schedule and are looking for a easy A to fulfill a gen ed requirement then trust me take this dude. Funny and just simple, put him on your schedule.
Hilarious professor! He cares for his students and loves to give you every chance to pass. Attendance does not count, just get the missing work from a classmate. We had a few books, so get ready to read. His papers are easy to complete but you need to make sure you're doing what he expects. (So read the material)
It's the type of class where you always think deeper into what looks correct at face value. You learn about how ideas change with time. It's Basically a great class. He asks lots of questions in class and looks for what other people think about what something means. There is homework to read at night but he goes over it in class the next day.
Prof. Adarkar is a perfect example of what a professor or educator should be in this day and age. Classes were fun where everyone engaged in discussions rather than doing boring work or taking notes. ALWAYS in a good mood with positive energy and was one of the few prof. who gave off good vibes on a regular basis. Like Mr. Simmons from Hey Arnold
Adarkar is someone who doesn't focus much on letter grades. I skipped the class once every 2 weeks and was still very easily able to achieve an A. Adarkar is a very nice person and his lectures are actually very nice and inspiring in a way, but they can be boring at times. If you need an A for a gen ed class, take his class.
Professor Adarkar was probably one of my favorite professors here at MSU. He was always in a positive mood and ready to brighten everyones day. This man was never rude or unfair to anyone. Not even people who werent present regularly. He was actually passionate about teaching and engaging with the students as well as making sure they suceed.
Adarkar is super chill. attendance doesn't count but honestly, I love going to his lectures. he talks about stuff that is really deep and somewhat changed my perspective on things. your grade is based off 1) weekly journals 2) 3 essays that's it. this class is designed for you to get an A. you literally have to try to fail this class.
Dr. Adarkar is an amazing professor. If you do your work and follow his grading criteria then you won't have a problem getting an A. Take his class and you won't regret it.
Adarkar is a great professor that keeps the class entertaining and makes learning fun!
Super easy and sweet. NOt a lot of work and u can hand everything in late, he won't take off pints. His midterm and final r easy and open book. I bought his textbook but I never used it. I showed up to class like 5 times the whole semester and still got a B. there's 3 papers due, but you can find everything you need online.
Prod. Adarkar absolutely loves what he does and you can tell when he lectures. Our class was ASYNC and recordings were always available. Weekly journal entries (about anything) were due every week, and a total of 3 papers were assigned. Try your best not to fall behind, but there is a lot of material. I should have tried harder for an Easy A.
Dr. Adarkar is one of my favorites! He is clear and gives work that you don't mind doing. A new paper was due every two weeks but he is fair and isn't strict on when you hand them in. Do the work and participate in class and he will do his best to help you really learn! He teaches about life and I suggest anyone take the class if they can.
Prod. Adarkar loves his job and you can tell through his lectures. Weekly journal entries (about anything related to the class) and a total of 3 papers were assigned. Gives you a decent amount of time for each assignment and grades pretty easy. Do the work and you'll pass.
Take him! He's so nice and passionate about his job. The textbook is a yes and a no, but you can find it online. Gives you a good amount of time to submit the assignments and grades pretty easily. Everything is written. Weekly journals that are related to the course and 3 big papers. Attend the class and you'll pass!
This professor expects too much out of your papers. Forgets that this is a Gen Ed course, and takes grading too seriously. Yes he is very flexible with the due dates, but will criticize your papers & not give you a final grade till its on your transcript. Expects you to watch 30 hour-long lectures, defeats the purpose of the course being online.
He is a very easy and kind professor. All of his due dates are soft deadlines, and every assignments is due at the end of the semester. He has many readings, but all you really HAVE to read is Oedipus and the Odyssey. There are three 3-page essays and 16 para. long journals. The only criticism I have is that his grading schedule is unclear.
Gives harsh feedback and does not properly teach his class
This was an in-person class, but he also offered the option of attending via Zoom. I highly recommend attending in person. He does not believe in grades and will only mark papers as "complete" on Canvas. As long as you turn in the papers on time, show up to class, and participate in the lectures, you will get the most out of his class.
Nfs Professor A is a Good Teacher. He takes his time to help you understand. He has 16 journals. They don't matter that much. The 3 papers do. They are most of your grade. He even gave me some extra time to finish them. Which I'm very thankful for. So try to do your best on them. He just wants to know you understand what he's teaching you.
Dr. Aditya Adarker is the kindest professor I have had so far at MSU. He is very helpful when you are behind on assignments and tries to assist with your needs. He is not harsh with deadlines and everything is due at the end of the semester.
He is a passionate and amazing professor. I learned a lot from his lectures and he had a straight forward syllabus. Three major papers that he helped with and weekly journals based on what you read. HE GRADES ON EFFORT THAT YOU PUT INTO THE CLASS, EVEN IF YOU'RE NOT 100% PERFECTING THE MATERIAL. Not hard at all, I loved having him!
Lots of readings, boring class. Nice professor but most of his lectures aren't really necessary to understanding the class. Grades by vibes and doesn't really believe in letter grades so be prepared to not know your grade for the majority of the class.
Adarkar is a very educated professors and loves what he teaches his online class just requires to write some journals one a week on the readings and reflect on it and 3 simple papers with 2 hw the whole semester was very easy to manage and taught me a lot about mythology I recommend his class he always gives feedback and emails everyone often too!
Prof. Adarkar makes the class engaging with his passion for the subject. The workload is manageable - weekly journals and 3 papers. Attendance is flexible, and he grades fairly. unstuck study was a great study tool to complement the course materials.
Fails to explain what to do for the writing assignments, and when you do it right there is still a problem with it. I can't tell you how many times I have emailed him so many times to try and explain what is it he is looking for, and he does not give a straight answer.
I don't even think the professor knows what he wants on his papers. In this class there are 2 papers left from the time i'm writing this, and one requires over 8 hours of lectures & 6 from the first paper. The last paper has 10 hours + reading ON ITS OWN. He's very unclear on what he wants and when he wants it. If you respect yourself, avoid him.
