Took her in the summer semester...enjoyed the class...had some good stories...WARNING if you are not into group activites...do not take her...I enjoyed most of them...also if you do not like doing a lot of work skip this one.

She is the coolest and sweetest lady ever, and i loved her class!

This class is pretty easy, she is very helpful and understands that you have other things to do than spend the whole semester writing speeches. I would take her again.

I have never taken a college class before Interpersonal Communications, and she made it fun and easy to learn. Very interesting lady! Be prepared to do work, but she is a LOT of fun!

She is a great teacher. She tells examples from her life so you can understand. I would recommend everyone to take her.

Sweet Lady. All she asks is that you get up there and try your best during your speech. If you do that, your sure to pass the class without any problems. Best Advice: follow her outlines and study guides!

She is a really good teacher and tries to help the students understand the material by showing movies with the chapters.

I loved Mrs. Howell. This class even helped me everyday things. Her tests and quizzes are easy just read the material and study a little bit and you should seriously A's this class. I love this teacher she is so nice.

Everything is laid out on the first day of class. There is a calendar of everyday you will be in the class and what you will be doing. As long as you do what you are supposed to and study what is on the study guide, there will be no problem in getting an A. Very easy elective class.

AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME teacher! Everything is Very clear and well laid out. There is no way that you cannot get an A in this class. You watch movies and fill out worksheets, how much easier does it get? I 100% would reccommend this teacher to anyone who has to take this class. Other teachers make you give speeches, NOT THIS ONE!

Excellent Teacher, very clear, engages her students, loved the movies. Uses life experiences to example the work. Lots of interaction. She makes learning the material fun. Recommend her highly to all.

Adna is a great teacher! It was an interesting class. We watched a lot of movies and did many in class activities. Assignments were easy if you were in class. She is very helpful and understanding.

She was the best teacher i have had at delta. She is such a sweet lady. You can talk to her about anything.She is also very understandable. A couple of quizes we didn't have because our class spoke up and said we didn't want one because we weren't ready. so she never gave the quiz to us. I would recommend her to anyone that needs this class.

Very easy going grandma type lady who is grades easy. She keeps her class in order, but enjoys questions and gives very clear answers to them.

She is down to earth, interesting and very kind. If you are honest and committed you will pass with no lower than a "B". Just do the work and don't try to fool her. She is too smart for that.

She is an extremely nice lady, but a little flakey as a teacher. The class was easy peasy and she was a pretty easy grader. She had trouble being prepared and with technology, but such a nice lady. If I had to take this class, she is the instructor I would want.

She is a very nice lady. She wasn't good with techonogoly. And you think for being a communications teacher she would know how to capture the audiences attention but she is VERY boring. But the class is very easy with no homework

she is my favorite teacher since i have been at delta. i highly recommend her. she is funny, entertaining, and i can easily pay attention and relate to what she has to say. the assignments are easy and fun. this is the best class yet.

I walked into this class thinking it was going to be long and boring but it ended up being very fun and easy. Adna is an easy going professor. If you have any questions she wil answer them, homework is fairly easy, and lectures are very good with the real life examples she uses. I would definitely take another class with her. HIGHLY RECOMMENED!

Adna is incredible. Very smart and down to earth, work is easy and she grades fairly. She is very sweet and easy to talk to. I would love another class with her.

I loved this class. She grades very easy and gives you plenty of time to complete homework. I always found her lectures very interesting. Gives real life examples, many times dealing with her life experiences. Would totally recommend.

She is really helpful and understanding. She is willing to help you with pretty much any part of college if you have questions. She is nice and she enjoys teaching communications. I have had her multiple times and I wouldn't take communications with any other teacher.

I took the blended in-class & online class. DEFINITELY recommend that!! 10 question quizes are posted online & you meet 4 times in the semester to deliver speeches you wrote. Your only homework is to write three speeches, spaced out over the course obviously. She is a very nice lady & will help you with anything.

Amazing teacher. The class I am in now, she makes it so interesting even though it is online. She doesn't just hand you the grade.. However She is great at giving you what you need to pass the class.

Adna is such a great professor! You have 10 question online quizzes every week and exams are online as well. As long as you do the homework and study for exams you will pass with flying colors. She is also very fun to listen to and makes class interesting. I would recommend her class!

Very easy class as long as you keep up with the assignments. Adna is very understanding, and will extend projectsassignments if you ask her to. Very quick responses with emails. I would take her class again in a heart-beat!

She is the best professor that I've had since I started college. She is very concerned and she goes the extra mile. I had a very life altering situation and she showed to give me support. She teaches well and t you know what to expect.

Very nice and understanding instructor, but the class is 3 hours and expect to barely ever get out early... Talks about her personal life that relates to the class, but its just sometimes irritating because we could be learning the material and leaving.

I took her for the Hogwarts @ Delta, she was FANTASTIC! She was helpful and very understanding with students personal lives. She has a wonderful heart and passion for what she teaches. She uses everyday life experiences. Her tests are simple if you read the material and study. Overall she was fantastic to learn and grow with as a public speaker.

Adna was one of my best professors here at Delta. She taught in a way that was relatable and understandable to everyone in the class. She is outgoing and a great person all around. Currently begging her to teach more classes in my degree so I can be in more of her classes. 100%

Adna is an amazingly sweet woman. Always ready to help and understanding. This class she records your speeches to help you preform better on the next one.

She is very caring and wants to see her students succeed. Her class is set up for an easy A as long as you put in the work. She does videotape a couple of your speeches which is helpful so you can see what you could improve on while giving a speech.

Really wants you to dive into the material, is looking for you to demonstrate that you understand concelts correctly and can execute the basics with effort. She is very friendly and takes time to answer questions and is very patient. I hate public speaking but she is not trying to turn you into the next ted speaker. Only to get why they are good

Adna was a wonderful professor. She really cares about her students, and will go to the max to make sure they succeed. I really liked how she connected her class with her life, and our own life. When it comes to the tests, as long as you study the power points that she provides, and read the chapters, you will be fine.

I PROMISE you that when you leave her class you will look at life differently, and with an open heart. If she teaches another class i will definitely take it just for fun.

Always provided feedback that was specific to what you wrote and made things personal. She seemed to really care about her students and what she was teaching. She assigned two papers that were self-explanatory and easy.

Professor Howell is about as nice of a professor as you could want. Helpful, gives loads of time to get your assignment right before its due. She runs a nice relaxed classroom, you will give speeches to the class, so plan on that. Attendance is graded so you must show up for class, but it truly is a fun class. You will become a better speaker.

Adna is an older woman who knows what she is talking about! She is very kind and she really does want the best for everyone in her class. She understands that life happens and can get in the way and is very empathetic in that manner. Shes a great person and teacher she is not always reachable out of class (ex. via email) but will own up to it.

Very easy class, the homework, quizzes and tests all relate to the course material. Be prepared to read the book! The content is very interesting. Adna gives good feedback however she does take awhile to reply back via email so dont count on an immediate response. She is clear on what she expects out of you as a student. Would take again!

This class was pretty easy. She had some family matters happening during my semester, so my grades did not go in until the final couple of weeks. It is very straight forward work. You read a chapter from the book, answer two questions, then apply them to your life. There is a final paper and one test, so it is pretty easy overall.

Professor Howell is a very talented public speaker. If you want to learn how to speak publicly and do it well, she's a great instructor.

Adna is a great teacher, but when this course was moved online there were a few problems. Is this course easier to take online? Yes, but Adna isn't the best at technology (neither am I) and it sometimes takes her a while to respond to you/open zoom. She's very knowledgeable and I really liked her class in person though! She's very sweet.

She was extremely nice and was always there for the students. The class I took from her was very easy and most everyone should pass with an A. I highly recommend taking her class if you have the opportunity to.

This class was fairly easy for me, however it was fully online due to the coronavirus. The material was straight forward and her expectations were clear. She was always very kind, and gave good and detailed feedback on my work.

She is a very nice and forgiving person. She gives lots of time for assignments, and is an overall easy going person.

I took her in 2019 pre-covid, and she was awesome. Most of the class time was spent writing/ listening to speeches, researching, or going over a small lecture. Super easy class as the speeches never exceeded around 5 minutes. She understands public speaking is nerve-wracking, so she's a gentle grader, but gave good feedback on how to improve.

She posts everything you need to do each week in an organized manner so it's very easy to get things done on time. Easy assignments and quizzes/tests. quiz every week but only 10 questions so it's easy. The only downside is lack of communication, she doesn't respond to emails quickly or put in grades quickly. It takes her a while.

Professor Howel' classes are so easy to pass as long as you do the work. I have had her for two semesters and if I could I'd take her again. She has quite every week with 10 questions and 2-3 exams with 50 questions. She gives you plenty of time and this course was open book.

It was a hybrid class and there was a book, but you didn't have to get it. Would answer any questions you had, sometimes harder to reach via email. Homework was fairly simple, but there was some public speaking and a group project at the end. Since then, she may have changed the curriculum, but it was a fun class. Really nice and easygoing.

She was a wonderful prof. Very nice and easy going. Enjoyed coming to her class it was honestly like a breath of fresh air. The material was very easy to learn. Learned a lot more about myself, others and how we all communicate differently. Overall would take her class again. Howell truly made class enjoyable. Takes a while to respond to emails.

Great alternative for public speaking! Although she does call on you randomly, that's my only thing I didn't like about this professor. Very nice but lectures on each chapter. All quizzes and exams have quizlets to them!! A couple papers throughout the semester but they were easy. Only one group presentation and its at the end of the semester!

Professor Howell was super nice and understanding. We did 4 speeches, wrote outlines in steps, and had online open note/book quizzes and tests. She was great! Was difficult to reach her outside of class though.

Adna is a very sweet, caring person; however, her class is very chaotic. During the semester, she had a lot of family problems which made the class even more chaotic. She is very hard to get ahold of outside of class, but her office hours are helpful. She is passionate about the subject and gave good feedback.

She was not a tough grader on the speeches. Online quizzes over each chapter. Our semester was a little hectic, but I think she did a great job! She was very kind and knew what she was talking about while teaching public speaking. The speeches require prep work, but she was willing to help. I would recommend her!

I never thought I would be able to take a communications class online, but Professor Howell made it possible. I enjoyed this class, and it actually taught me a lot about nonverbal communication. I struggle with social interactions and reading nonverbal cues, so this helped immensely. The classwork was simple enough to where it was engaging and fun!
