Great professor that strives for her students to understand. Yes its a hard class, and you'll have to study lots, but welcome to college. She is recommended and loves ask critical thinking questions that really have you wondering for the rest of the day.

Best biology professor ever. Just study the study guides and go to class. She's really happy all the time and she makes you love biology! Her accent is very heavy, but you will eventually get used to it. She makes you stay through the whole lab but just make friends and you'll be fine. Her homework is fairly easy also.

I strongly recommend her because she is an outstanding professor, passionate about teaching. Exams are only form her notes and HW. She drops the lowest score and, if you need, you can retake one exam. HOWEVER,she does NOT curve! I got A - My secret:Study GROUP. You must study alone and STUDY in a GROUP. Best Bio professor at BMCC, she is a must take, if you suck at BIO she is the professor its so easy to pass her class, she has power point slides and gives a study guy. Just study her slides and study guides and her exams are a breeze. She is a must take!! YOU WONT REGREAT IT.

She loves her teaching and she loves research, she will give you her time if you are serious. She drops one exam and let you retake one. If you think her class is easy as people say dont believe everything you read. I thought the same thing when i choose the class, but is a lot of notes its not about memorization is about understanding and making connection. Test are Killers, the lab Exams are Hard 60+ question exams for lecture is the same even more. She is a Great teacher not easy

Professor Koroch taught me how to study, how many professors teach you that? She is BY NO MEANS an easy A. She will not give up on you if you do not give up on yourself. She does not give access to Powerpoint's before class BECAUSE YOU WONT RETAIN THE KNOWLEDGE BY COPYING THE SLIDES, so just focus on her lecture and understanding, not the slides.

Professor Koroch is one of the greatest professors at BMCC! She loves what she is doing and she is more than willing to help you with anything that you want! I'm not going to lie to you though; the class is not easy. You need a lot of studying but Professor Koroch is always there to help her students and she will reply to your emails right away!

Professor Koroch is one of the best professors I have ever had the privilege to be taught by. She is very passionate about her work, and will work with you if you need help. Don't get me wrong, this class is hard and you will have to study hard for it, but throughout the semester she will give you many opportunities to raise your grade.

You have to work hard for your grade, be committed, on time and ask questions when you have them. She is one of the best professor's I've had. Tough though, but she gives you that push to "wake up" and get down to business in college. She mainly uses slides in her lectures and assigns study guides that are a must to review if you want to pass.

This professor seems to forget that college students take multiple classes a semester. It takes a lot of work to get a good grade in her class. Lots of quizzes, 5 exams plus the final. Can be a rude at times, but compared to other bio professors is bearable. To pass this class, you HAVE to go to the lectures, read the textbooks and study.

Fair grader. Ready to help you if you are willing to get a good grade and is always available in her office hours. She is very helpful and understanding and pushes her students to do better. If she knows that you are working hard she will help you. Get ready to study, there are five exams plus the final and homework and lab reports too!

Best prof ever. She seems tough but as class goes on u learn that she really cares for all students. 5exams, lowest dropped, and 1 retake. Final HW 3Labquizzes 1 project. A lot of work but very rewardin. To get A, LISTEN in lectures and study by READIN her slides and read text where youre still confused about. Final has quests similar to prev exams

She is an amazing professor. Sure, she doesn't give an easy A but no bio class is an easy A. Her requirements are clear and she is prepared to help anyone who approaches her.

Professor Koroch is a very understanding professor but your dedication is required to get a good grade in this class. Biology is not an easy topic and she allows students ample time to stop by her office and learn what you did not understand. If she sees you are a good student who puts in a lot of work, she will for sure recognize your efforts.

I love Pr Koroch , she is very professional, she works with her students. She transmits information that a student will use later if you are a science major student, its not the kind of class you take then 1 semester later you forget what you learned. My advice is : take her and avoid Pr David Krauss .

I love Professor Koroch! She is very inspirational, truly wants you to succeed and hopefully become a scientist :) If you want to build a solid foundation and not just get an A, make sure to read Cambell Biology and do your Dynamic Modules. Tests are easy if you read, plus this professor always welcomes you during the office hours.

With the whole pandemic, she transitioned our usual hybrid class to fully online. It was great and it wasn't? She makes you work for it while being an overall a relatively nice professor and willing to communicate with the class if you communicate too.

I took her for my Biology II. She is a great professor and super understanding. Lectures are easy to follow. As long as you put in the work and participate in class you will get a good grade. If you have any issue or dont understand something talk to her she is always willing to help.

I took professor koroch for a bio 220 and she was amazing. She related a lot of the concepts to real life to help us better understand the material. She was very helpful in office hours and always gave us a chance to pass her class. She didn't make me feel bad for getting the answer wrong. Ask her about her concept maps i still use them today!!!!!!

Professor Koroch is one of the best professor I had ever took at BMCC. Biology is not an easy class however, during office hours she teaches how to read and create concepts map to have a better understanding of the material. Her exams will be easy if you study and make connections. Take her if you really want to learn the material.

This is one professor that passionately cares for her students. I took her hybrid BIO 220 course, and this was the best decision ever. Her exams her fair. Prof Koroch was an amazing professor especially given the unprecedented circumstances that COVID presented us all with. Yes she can be tough on students and a bit challenging so you do need to have a bit of tough skin but with that being said she is not rude nor disrespectful. If you are looking to grow as a scientist this is the class to take.

I took her Bio 220 and 210. She helped me get A's in both. She also dedicated hours just for office hours. I respect her. I am so glad I had her for Biology. Many of her students are published, and have research experience which can be attributed to her connections. Very brilliant woman. She is a feminist, and an inspiring person in my life.

Professor Koroch requires students to study, and READ. That's a good thing. When she notices that you care, she will have your back. If you are unsure of a topic, she will consult with you until you get it. I got an A in her class, and I'm not extremely smart. Just hard working. She cares when you care. Just the way it should be.

Professor Koroch is a phenomenal professor. She leads with a true passion for science and desire to educate. Her goal is not to have students memorize and regurgitate information, but rather educate and empower her students to teach themselves. The textbook used is great (I suggest getting the digital version). Definitely take her section!

Took her over the summer, I was honestly scared after reading the bad reviews on here but as I took her class, she seems to be understanding as long as you talk to her about your problem. If you want to request something and it's reasonable, she will grant it. Other than that, you must read textbook before class, because her lectures were not enoug

She gives you quizzes for every lab that you covered from last week. If you want to get good grades, you have to work for it. For example, read the chapter ahead, and review the labs. Get ready for the quizzes that she gives you every week, it is not so easy. However, though, she is a good professor.

I had professor Koroch in Fall of 2019. Her class was difficult but it prepared me for my career in PT. She taught us how to make study guides that would prepare us for her exams, I could never do well on short answers, but with her help it became easier. This class isn't an easy A, but you can use what you learn in other courses and in life.

At first, I had no hope of passing her class. You definitely need to study in this class, Professor Koroch will not give you a passing grade without you knowing the material. You need to work for your grade, she has different studying suggestions that worked for me! study every night, complete your assignments, pass your exams you will do great!

Prof Koroch is very nice. It's a lot of material so tests are challenging, but her tests are not super hard and she has lots of opportunities to improve your grade. The lecture was "asynchronous" and the lab was in person, but then we wasted valuable lab time taking our lecture exams during lab time. Wish that time was valued more!

Get ready to study!!! Exams and Participation matters!!!! This course overall is advanced but Professor truly cares and works with you. This class consists of 5 lecture exams + final she drops the lowest one, 3 lab exams all multiple choice and some bonus question with writing towards the end of the exam, I liked how you can do oral adjustment to upgrade your grade I would recommend doing that very nice professor she pushes her students to do better good luck!

Most enjoyable class ever in BMCC! My initial expectation for this class was to get a B, but I ended up getting an A with the effort I put into it. Professor Koroch prepared us with all the materials needed and gave us a lot of motivation. Just read the textbook, watch the lecture videos, do the homework, and you will be fine. EVERYTHING WAS DOABLE

This class is dense, but it is definitely doable if you study. Prof Koroch is one of the few professors that I met that truly cares and wants her students to understand the material and succeed in the class. She gives many opportunities to help improve your grades, like bonus questions, oral adjustments and she also drops the lowest test grade.

She's a good professor. Tests biweekly for every 2-3 chapters covered & lab quizzes in the weeks between. It's tough but it helped me keep up with the dense material. She drops the lowest test and gives extra credit Qs which is helpful, and she's caring too. Would recommend if you're actually willing to work and learn.

I don't really understand any negative reviews about this Professor. Grading criteria was straightforward from the beginning of the semester; 5 exams and one gets dropped, 4 quizzes based on lab, an easy end of the term group project. Homework heavy, but it definitely helps prepare for exams. If you put in the work and show you care, it's a fair A.

I took Prof Koroch in the summer of 2023. Prof made the class manageable. She spoke to us with respect and gave us opportunities to do well. She broke down the material so we would understand it. She made herself available outside of class. Very caring Professor. One of the best in the Science Department. I am happy I chose her for BIO 426 (A&P2).

TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. Even though I didn't come for the first lecture, I was able to catch up to whatever she was teaching that day in lab with her teaching WITHOUT the slides. Anatomy isn't an easy class but if you're willing to come and put effort into the class, you will pass. Her teaching style includes everyone. Extra credit is there too!

Prof. Koroch is extremely fair, understanding, and really wants her students to feel engaged and do well. I really respect her for this. She provides ample opportunities for extra credit and grade improvement. The async lecture can feel difficult since you have to hold yourself accountable, but I would take another class with her in a heartbeat.

The best advice I could give is read the textbook as her recorded lectures are regurgitated versions of the chapters. She offers extra credit on every quiz and exam. She also offered oral adjustments to boost grades for poor test takers. This is not an easy course but she is fair and will work with you. You need to put in work to earn a grade.

Students would benefit greatly under the tutelage of Prof. Koroch. Participation plays a role not only for the sake of participating but also plays a key role in understanding the course work. Aside from assigned texts the professor provides her own PowerPoint presentation equipped with audio recordings to support students. Very informative class.

I had taken Professor Koroch for two classes: Biology 108 & 9. While 108 was asynchronous, 109 was synchronous. My overall experience with her has been delightful. I took this class during the fall it was Bio 108 & 109.The professor is great will answer any questions you have. This is the type of class where the teacher loves what they do. She makes sure we stay on topic with the questions, she does not make anyone feel uncomfortable when answering a question wrong. All the homework that is given is organized

Took her in an accelerated summer course for A&P2 and wish I could have taken her for all of my science courses! This is a heavy topic and she expects you to know all of the material but is an amazing lecturer so if you listen in class, study, and read the book you will be fine. She offers plenty of extra credit - do the work and you will do well.

All the content overlaps and exam is straight textbook content. Lecture slides are straight from the textbook so do one or other, don't waste your time. She gives extra credit.

I did like how she graded exams very fast and always gave us extra credit! Professor Koroch is a gem, if you participate in her class and try your best she will make it work out for you. She has a passion for biology and students who do their best! Just show up to lecture (her lectures are great), and show up to lab on time and you'll do great. She's not a tough grader, and if you study for her exams you'll do great!

She is strict about the lab rules, but she is also a good role model: she is always punctual and prepares very detailed and clear instructions beforehand.
