Professor Mendez has been by far the best professor I have taken at MDC! This professor, is insprirational, funny and educated. Do not mistake his kindness for weakness as you will be required to still study for the tests and homeworks. Take professor Mendez, you will not regret it.

Professor, Adolfo. is great there four quizzes, some homework to do. not extra credit offers at least when I took his class. the study is the key for this class.

I have to say I missed some classes at the beginning of the semester, and started to get bad grades on the first tests, but then I started attending as I should have and got straight A's. He doesn't give homework, just approximately 5-6 tests including the midterm and final. He was the BEST, so nice and his lectures are so PASSIONATE!

I took Dr Mendez's class at Broward College. He's one of the best professors! I'm not good with sciences. The assignments were really tough for me, but he was very understanding when grading. As long as you showed the effort, you were guaranteed to get a good grade. Midterm and final were group presentations. Definitely take him - you won't regret!

He's probably one of the best professors at the West Campus. Very charismatic and always eager to teach. He also knows very well his topic and if you pay attention you'll learn a lot. This class is basically an intro to astronomy. I enjoyed it a lot.

Dr Mendez PSC1515 was very informative and was taught with incredible enthusiasm. The tests are derived straight from the powerpoint slides which he goes over in class, aswell as sending them to you via email.

Honestly one of the be Professors I've ever had. He cares about you, doesn't send homework at all. I didn't know much about some subjects but he is so good that is easy to learn. He gives you a study guide before the exam and if you study its an A for sure. Attendance is mandatory but if you miss one day or two days its okay, just let him know.

Professor Mendez is a caring person. He is very accessible outside of the classroom, he replies to emails, and he uses power points to teach the class. The amazing way he teaches his lectures makes the course easy to understand, and he provides reviews before every test and the test is similar to the reviews.

Professor Mendez cares about his students. He engages in explaining the concepts and making sure his students understand the implications and consequences of these. He does not torture his students on heavy calculus complexities but he delivers the differential background of the themes he delivers. He is a good and solid choice.

Take this class in this Spring 2020 and I think it is excellent, Dr. Mendez makes the class fun with his examples, he himself makes his power points and before each exam he sends you a review which if you study you will get an A, nothing complicated. I have Professor Mendez for Astronomy and he's been one of my favorites! I'm in his 8 week mini-term, and the final grade consists of 3 unproctored tests, which if you just study the power points, you should easily pass. He makes class, and the powerpoints easy and fun to learn from. He's also a very nice and funny person overall. 10/10 reccomend

Three activities, three exams. Easiest A anyone can ever get for AST 1002. Prof. Mendez is a comedic genius. I had him twice a week; however, attendance was not mandatory. Every Monday of 'exam week', it was recommended to go, other than that, the other days, lectures were given thru BB. I would totally recommend.

If you like science just a bit, you'll enjoy his lectures. If you don't, he'll do his best to catch your attention and help you understand physics. No homework. Take him!

Really passionate professor, he really knows what he's teaching and you can tell he loves what he does. No homework or textbook, just 5 exams throughout the semester. I took two of his classes this semester (AST1002&PHY1025) and he is amazing. He would give his students many opportunities to raise their grades and was always available if you needed help. Very knowledgeable, understanding, and funny! I will be taking him again next semester for PHY2048:) I highly recommend this professor! You will learn a lot

Professor Mendez is an amazing and very sympathetic professor. He teaches physics in a way that is understandable even to someone like me who has a hard time with math. He is extremely kind and forgiving in his exams while still being challenging. If I could, I would give this professor a 10/10. Definitely take this professor for physics.

This a great Professor, I took all my physics classes with him and I recommended because he has an excellent way to connect all the previous content with the new ones. I have been with professor mendez since I took him in PHY1025. That's how good he is. He is a knowledgeable professor that is able to explain the material very clearly and concisely. I have a tough time with physics, but he made learning the subject way easier. His exams are exactly what he teaches in the lecture and very fair. Overall amazing man.

Regardless of whatever my final grade is (I had an A before the final), I believe Professor Mendez is the best in-person Physics lecturer in Miami-Dade College. There is no textbook or homework, you only need to study for 5 exams ( and he drops the lowest). Tests are similar to lectures and you do need to engage with the class in order to succeed.

Professor Mendez is the funniest physics professor I have had. I took him during the summer and the grade is only based on the 3 exam + final but he considers attendance when giving extra points at the end of the semester. You'll have to study because in the end, it's a physics class lol, but he is a great professor anyway.

Graded on only 3 midterms and a final. No extra credit opportunities until if he considers the student should receive some. If you're looking for a good grade extra credit opportunities, choose another prof

An excellent lecturer who somehow managed to make an 8 AM summer physics lecture slightly bearable. Exams make up almost the entirety of your grade and they're reasonably tough. It wasn't until near the end of the course that I finally started to pick up on his exam style and tailor my studying strategies accordingly.

He is very obviously passionate about the subject and his lectures were very entertaining. The grade was composed of 4 exams, all multiple choice with a review lecture the class before that had all of the information that'd be on the test. I found the exams very easy to review for.

This Prof is way too OP. Someone needs to stop him before he reaches a 6/5 on rate my prof and destroy the very universe as we know it. Your grade is based on 3 exams and 1 final exam. Formulas are given for every test. Although he doesn't give extra credit, he gives extra points based on your attendance. Study before every test and you'll be fine.

Mendez is a very great teacher who wants you to learn the material above all. PHY 2049 is a semi difficult class but he's probably the best option to take.

Graded by 3 midterms and a final (100% exams no extra credit). He provides practice problems before every exam and clear about the exam outline. If you're struggling or thinking his class is way too hard, the problem is you, not the professor.

PHY2049 is a difficult class on its own, but Prof Mendez is the best professor you could take for this class. It sucks the grade is 3 tests (60%) and 40% the final, but he provides an entire review day for going through practice problem that are exactly like in the test, so they're really easy but you must pay really attention and practice. Easy A.

Dr. Mendez's class was a joy to go to in the mornings. His lectures were always interesting & he genuinely cares about what he's talking about. There are only 5 quizzes & that's all. As long as you are paying attention, it's an easy A. He does a review before each exam as well so that you are prepared. I will miss his pictures of the days!!

Mendez makes an 8 AM physics class bearable. Exams are tough but manageable if you attend class and utilize resources like unstuck AI for study prep. Overall, a helpful professor who wants you to learn the material.

AMAZING professor with a passion for what he is teaching. Beware, this class is 100% exam and requires you to put effort. The practice questions are almost direct to the exam. He's available during his office hours and loves helping students. I think the most difficult part of this class is simply the concepts (I felt he explained them well). LOVED

great professor, i learned so much more than i thought i would. only grades are three exams and the final, but they weren't too difficult. however, fair warning, he occasionally makes misogynistic and transphobic comments.

Grade is made up of 3 tests and the final. For each test you have 30 problems to study. Exams are very similar to the practice problems he gives you. If you study those problems, you will get a good grade. Power Point classes are always available to the students. Great prof, just make sure you are responsible and study those practice problems.
