Great teacher. He takes time to explain everything and he makes things intresting to your point of view. He trys to make the class lively. He is also a great person to get to know on a personal level. Good Looking too!

The class is pretty easy. He does give a decent amount of works, mostly papers. No quizes eventhough he says it on the outline. Midterm and Final was a take home for me. If you are willing to do the work then you can get a A. Papers are not hard either. Very good professor.

He is the best professor at John Jay. He is one of those professors that you can talk to about anything and he will try to help you out if you have a problem. He is an easy grader, and if he sees that you are trying hard he will reward you!

I thought that perfect professor do not exist, I was mistaking. This professor is funny, interesting, and everything else you can imagine. Relates the class to this days, his work, tells a lot of stories, plus all of our tests(even the final) were take-home tests. Very easy to get an A.

One of his books are pretty difficult but he explains everything in class, if you approach him, he will make it a lot easier. He is one of he best prof in JJ. I highly recommend him!

Seems to know his stuff, material is well presented. somewhat self-absorbed(always talking about his expertise w/gangs as a gang consultant, which might be true).But his being self-absorbed doesnt matter much, rather it makes the class interesting. adam-sandler lookalike, but some of ya'll ladies are kinda ****!

Take him..Im serious take him. Highly intellectual, interesting to listen to, knows what he's talking about and discusses all material in class. If you need guidance and help hes there for you. In my point of view he has a fab sense of humor. Cant complain. Just do your work and pass his exams. There are 4 quizzes as well. Iz all good.

He's incredibly intelligent and not too bad on the eyes. He's helpful and tries his best to always make sure you're striving for an A in the class. Sometimes he talks a lot about his experience working with gangs but overall he makes the class enjoyable and lively. Just make sure you cover your mouth when you yawn b/c he's a stickler for manners!!!

I think he's hot! And funny! His class is awesome and as long as you do all the reading you'll be fine. The book is Harvest of Empire which is BORING. But trust me it all relates to the later material. Very fair grader. EXTREMELY HELPFUL. TAKE HIM NO MATTER WHAT!!! HE ROCKS!!! Oh and although he may seem like a tough ass, if you participate.. :)

Great Professor.My faviorte so far. He's very funny and easy to talk to, hes also hot so that was a plus going to class. Hes understanding and a very good grader.There is readings, but he talks about it in class.Not boring at all. If you try you will pass with a very good grade.

Fun and easy professor. I failed all three quizzes but passed the midterm with a score in the high 80's. Did an awesome job on my final paper with supporting points and presentation. Boosted my grade to an A-. Quizzes based on the readings.

This guy is an absolutely fabulous teacher and gave very interesting readings, too. He definitely made an effort to tie in all of what we were learning to current events and we even had a field trip. He is very informative and knowledgeable.

Professor Bordoni is a wonderful teacher! Come to class prepared to discuss current events and stay up on the readings. there are a few papers and quizzes but nothing too difficult for an attentive student to easily tackle. Overall the class is extremely informative and will have you questioning all aspects of media and daily life when your done.

My favorite teacher at John Jay. I learned many things that may seem obvious but, in fact, they aren't. I personally liked listening to his stories, it added character to our lectures. You could see where he is coming from and it's not totally off topic. I wouldn't say he is the 'easiest' since we had a few 3-4 paged essays due, but he is great!

LOVED HIM! I would take another one of his classes. When you needed help he was always there. 2 papers, no final, no midterm. You should read the chapters though he wasn't enforcing it but he would randomly call on you and if you didn't know the answer he will embarrass you! But great guy and you learn a lot from him he knows his stuff

OMG best class ever! Best professor ever! End of story! .... Even if you are not interested in the course subject you become interested because of him. He calls on people so pay attention! & Not many assignments. Trust me if you have to take his class or you are just taking it for an elective you will pass. It's harder to fail than to pass in!

Ultra-mega-excellent professor. One of the best professors that I've taken. You just need to go to class on time, follow the syllabus's work and you will get a great grade. His teaching techniques and the way he unfold himself while teaching will keep you very attentive and entertained.

I took him in the summer and he gave me a whole different mind set about summer courses. I would def take him again. Show up to class on time, participate and do your work. We read 2 books in this class. We only had like 3 papers the whole semester. He doesn't really assign homework, just readings. The books we read are in groups, so if you don't read you got backup. Superrrr funny professor really enjoyed the class. There is some work you really DO have to complete but he bases a lot on group work. Two papers and a group project is basically your entire grade but they're pretty fair assignments.

His class was very laid back. Had two major papers, a few quizzes and a presentation. His class consisted of discussing two assigned books, so if you want the class to be interesting make sure you engage in the conversation. He is very funny and kinda adorable. Overall great class.

Professor Bordonis is so far one of the best professors I had at John Jay college, he makes his class very interesting and easy to understand. He is also very hilarious and what I loved the most about his class was the fact he doesn't even use PowerPoint to teach, he really knows his materials.

Great professor because he knows his stuff, and it was my pleasure to have him as my first & only LLS professor. Strongly recommend him to all JJ students.

PLEASE PARTICIPATE. 3 easy exams, if your a good class open book. Attendance is a must.1 presentation about your final paper about whatever court case, you chose. You will learn in this class. He has such a great sense of humor, he is very understanding and he ensures that everyone participate. You will definitely learn a lot from him, every single class is fun. Great professor, the work load is extremely easy for a 300 level course. I can say with complete confidence that this is one of the few classes that have actually learned relevant concepts that I will be able to apply to everyday life. Bordoni is by far the best professor at john jay. the class was super chilled and interesting we learn plenty through class disscussions. theres some group work involved but its not horrible. couple papers no big deal and reading for homework nothing excessive. please take this class

I Just finished taking Professor Bordoni in the 5 week summer session and I must say that he is not only a really nice guy, but he is passionate about what he teaches. I learned so much within a small time frame. If I needed any of his other classes I would take him. Take him, do not hesitate.

He is a very funny guy. Love how he teaches. He will give clear examples about the topic and will make a conversation going if you're actually focused. There are multiple modules to be completed after like 2 weeks, but you only need to complete 7 of them. A little lengthy, but you will learn a lot from topics! Take him, you won't regret it.

As a conservative, I thought this would be a rough class, but I found Bordoni to be an incredibly fair prof. He welcomes all viewpoints, even the ones that are unpopular. There is lots of personal experience from students and the prof that are talked about in class, which makes it fun and interesting. Work was manageable and he is understanding.

Professor Bordoni is one of those instructors whose classes are essentially easy to follow. There are no tests, just discussion boards and two papers. Additionally, you might need to purchase the book, but overall, the course is simple to understand for Latinx students studying criminal justice.
