All she demands is that you spend time on your assignments. I got a B in the class because I should spent more time on my drawings. Also, she is kind of up tight at first and by the end of the quarter she is nice and relaxed.
Grading is very subjective and not based on work, but whether she likes you or not..in my favor but not others :( I don't recommend her if you don't have a very strong drawing background b/c she's not helpful at all... one of the worst classes i've taken here
HORRIBLE. WASTE OF $$$. DOES NOT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT TEACHING!!
Great professor, learned a lot and actually now enjoy drawing, very personable, friendly, and curteous. I definitely recommend!
Very knowledgeable about subject matter and understanding of the projects at hand. Obvioudly enjoys the subject and teaching it. Would take another class from her again.
Burgos definitely plays favorites. Her assignments aren't terribly clear.
Really Patient, so awsome
Same opinion as other ratings... assignments are not clear at all, picks favorites, and doesn't not know much about teaching art. Try not to take her if there is someone else open.
I really like this class. It is a lot of work but I am definitely learning and becoming a lot better at drawing. She has a good attitude. She expects a lot out of each student, so if you don't put in the extra hours, she will disapointed, plus it will really get you behind in the work.
not very helpful, grades unfairly
an alright teacher, she wasn't very helpful in telling me how i could improve other than repeatedly telling me to work on my line weight and then not explaining to how
I'm sure she's a great person and she is talented but grades unfairly.. Rambles on... Picks favorites. ..and class has always ran over.
Completely unfair...tedious demonstrations, MUST use easels, not helpful, expects everyone to know what she is teaching already, condescending comments, dosen't explain techniques at all, and spends too much time focusing on charcoal.
She was not helpful at all. She would not help you if you didnt show any real "talent." She made my life miserable. dont take her. oh and you never ever use your books so if she says buy some... dont.
All comments above are true. She is obsessed with charcoal. She walks around class telling everyone there work is beautiful but give us all Cs and Ds on our homework. She expects her students to get it perfectly the first time. Doesn't understand the concept of a beginner. And she stares at people all creepy like.
She does ask that you spend time on your assignments outside of class, it's not too much. Drawing 2 is more structured, she gives you a lot of freedom for the final. In Drawing 3 she gives you guidelines and then let's you spin it in your own way. Really cool assignments. It was the best/most rewarding class I've taken at SCAD so far.
You start from the basics in this class, and you don't feel like you are accomplishing anything for a few weeks. By the end of the class I realized how helpful she really was. She teaches you things that if you are already draw well you may have forgotten. I really enjoyed the class more towards the end. In the end, glad I took the class.
Like others have said, she tends to play favorites. This is especially annoying to those of us whose majors don't require a lot of drawing and don't have a lot of drawing skills, but need to pass the class for our major. Don't get me wrong; as a person, she's alright. As a teacher...well, unless drawing is your life, I would find another professor.
Not very understanding to students who are there for a non drawing related purpose.
I will agree she does choose favorites, but she chooses the people who put the effort and time into their work. That's not a crime. Going into drawing 1 I was very nervous, but we did a lot of exercises that help you loosen up. Drawing 2 was very difficult. The work load for both classes was heavy. Overall, she's a great teacher.
She does like to use charcoal. She loves to see her students come out of class to work on the assignments given. As long as you show that you put effort into your work she will give you a fair grade.
I didn't like her. Assignments were really boring. In Drawing II we sat and drew the corner of a classroom, and were expected to go after class on days and work on it. If you don't like taking 10 hours on a basic charcoal project(she seriously expects that) you won't enjoy her. I'm good at drawing, so I did fine, but she gives real lame assignments
CONTOUR LINES!!!
Alright here's the honest take on Burgos and I got an A in her Draw I class. She is alright. I don't really care for how she grades; she favors her own style. HW assignments are so dry and boring. Demos no bueno, she starts rambling all these art temrs like you already know it all. If you put time into her class you'll get a A/B. There's better!
She's a good teacher one on one but when she's addressing the whole class she's really repetitive and not very helpful. Horrible critiques, too.
Her assignments were very traditional, meaning you'll be doing a lot of still lifes. She's very big on sighting and measuring and she could go on about that technique. She gives very good constructive criticism, and she'll help you if you ask. Overall, I felt myself getting bored with her class, there were no new materials.
She's a great teacher. Very traditional, but you will learn. She actually teaches you how to draw and grades you based on your personal improvement not against the rest of the class or her standard. REMEMBER LINE WEIGHT!
I had professor Burgos for both drawing I and drawing II and while her methods are very traditional, YOU WILL LEARN. I came in with absolutely no drawing experience and now have great confidence and pride in my skills. She is very nice in critique. You will have to work hard but thats what we're here for and it's worth it, &don't listen to 2 down.
I adore Professor Burgos. Her class is not easy however, especially drawing 2. She is very helpful and she is open to your opinion about projects. She always offers extra help sessions and always gives you helpful feedback completing a drawing. Critiques are very easy going. I will definitely take her again for the 3rd time. Take Her!
I have taken Drawing I and II with professor Burgos, and I am currently taking Life Drawing I with her. If you are in a drawing heavy major (Sequential, Illustration, Animation, etc.), TAKE HER! She properly teaches sighting. She's very kind and will gladly sit down to talk about your school work and personal art. Ignore the bad review 3 down.
Burgos is tough, and you'll draw your butt off, sight like crazy, and spend many, many hours in front of still lifes, but it's all worth it in the end! Projects are time consuming, but definitely portfolio worthy. She's very helpful with critiques, a fair grader, and just a great person in general! Take her! Your skills will improve tenfold!
Burgos is an amazing teacher. Yes, she does make you work hard, but I promise the class is worth it if you are willing to put the effort into it. I learned so much from her. I took her for both Drawing 1 and 2. I would take her again in a heartbeat.
not very helpful. picks favorites. and doesn't know how to teach, just knows she likes art= not very effective. wouldn't recommend. she was not a very good experience to have first quarter in college. in fact, she was very discouraging.
She is a great teacher! She is nice and grades you for improvement. She is really helpful. Expect homework every weekend. Study for quizzes! You only have to write an essay so thats nice. I highly recommend her! Take her if you are willing to work hard.. youll improve al ot!
She is Helpful and great with teaching drawing mechanics. the class is alot of work be prepared to do some late night grinding. She is a reasonable grader and a fairly nice person as long as you act like an adult.
I've never met a teacher that was so dedicated to her students. She was CONSTANTLY having extra help sessions. I never had the time to go to any of them, but I really would have liked to. She posted video tutorials and will help you with ANYTHING, just ask! She's so nice and will constantly get you motivated and inspired. I loved her class.
Burgos is extremely helpful. She wants you to learn the concepts and is willing to draw out the basics if needed. I feel like she pushes everyone regardless of talent and teaches more of fundamental concepts and how to construct your drawings rather than to make pretty pictures. She was a wonderful professor. I would easily recommend.
Burgos is a wonderful teacher. Absolutely dedicated to her students, kind and helpful to talk to, and really appreciates you if you give back a high level of effort and dedication to your studies. Very traditional in her approach, and you will learn how to draw well, IF you are willing to put in a lot of hours. Take her only if you want to learn!
Professor Burgos was wonderful! She encourage everyone in drawing. Her critiques are helpful and she is extremly dedicated to her students. She opens extra help session almost every friday. Instructions are very clear, easy to understand. I would recommend her to anyone, especially to those who are afraid of draw.
I learned a lot in this class. My work improved so much. However, she's a tough grader. She doesn't give out very many As.
I chose to have professor burgos two quarters in a row. she is SO helpful and knows every little thing about drawing. she is very clear and structured in what she teaches. she goes over every little technique separately and clearly with her demos. i have learned so much in her class, more than i ever thought i would about drawing.
I loved Burgos for the most part. I had her for Drawing I and saw a significant improvement in my work and learned a lot. She has very strict project perimeters and doesn't leave much wiggle room, and you're expected to put in a lot of time and effort, but she definitely knows what she's talking about and is incredibly helpful.
Prof.Burgos taught me a lot of crucial concepts in drawing. I built strong foundation in drawing and also improved tremendously. She makes you work everyday and also always there to help you if you need a help. She is a wonderful caring person and love to help students out. Take her class, you will improve a LOT.
Decent professor, but I wouldn't recommend. She likes to give you little instruction on what to do& throw you into the project. She gives you little time to complete the project, & when you come in to work over the weekend you can't work from your spot because of how many students are there. She overdoes her syllabus and refuses to drop projects.
She is an amazing teacher, she has taught me so much and she cares for her students. She is not easy but you should not be looking for an easy class because you will essentially learn nothing from it. She challenges you and helps you grow and improve. I will be taking her Life Drawing course next quarter and I am looking forward to it. Take her!
If your major has nothing to do with drawing this is going to be a tough class. She gives no time in class to work on assignments unless it's a final and she loves students who come in on the weekends to work. She definitely has favorites. My best advice is to work as hard as you can and clock in long hours. It's tough but doable.
She is an excellent teacher, but a tough one. I learned a lot from this class (go to the extra help sessions!) She really helped me improve my drawing skills! HOWEVER - if you plan on taking a (relatively intensive) class you will probably have trouble with the work load. Just make sure to follow her instructions to the T & you will be fine :)
Be ready to have to do a LOT of sketchbook work, practice assignments, and then the actual projects. She talks for the first hour or so about the same things, just repeating herself, and then you finally get to draw. Share the textbook if she makes you get one, not worth getting your own.
Burgos is a fantastic teacher! She makes you work for your grade, and only gives out a few A's, BUT YOU WILL LEARN! She gives really good demos, and her projects are clearly outlined. Be prepared to come into the studio on weekends; she gives in and out of class projects for each unit. Just don't get behind on sketchbooks, which is easy to do.
Burgos is a great teacher-I learned so much and I feel more confident with my drawing skills! She starts with line drawings (and you get a lot of practice)-only our very last project is full-value, so she's the perfect teacher for a beginner! HOWEVER-she gives a LOT of work, so you need good time management, or else this class will be tough.
If you take burgos, expect hours of drawing and sketchbook homework. Projects go by quick and overlap each other: a lot of outside work. Expects you to buy expensive paper and materials. Good prof, but kind of hard to understand through the accent. Class yields very rewarding results that you can be proud of. Not hard to get an A if you work for it
For DRAW230 Expect to learn a lot on your own, as some of her demonstrations were unclear. The book really helps with this however. There is lots of sketchbook work, but if you really spend time and do it all you will improve. Its nice that the in class exercises are graded as well.
She's a tough grader, but she gives plenty of feedback while working on the projects/sketchbook. Expect a LOT of work; however, also expect a decent amount of in-class time to work on projects. Her class requires a solid work ethic, but you definitely will learn in it.
Love her as a person, but as a teacher she is very whimsical in what she asks for. She might hand you a rubric with A, B, and C, but she expects you to turn in A-Z, if that makes sense. She tends to add extra work on top of projects, but its nothing too stressful if you work fast and show interest in her class. Very nice and laid back.
A lot of people think she's a tough grader but u just have to follow her grading instruction and u'll be okay. She really cares and gives pretty solid feedbacks.
I learned a lot, but it was a tough class! You'll put in a lot of work, but overall I'm happy with the results. Make sure to have a midterm conference with her and you'll find what you should improve on. I could tell she likes when you communicate what you're struggling with. Overall if you put in the work she'll help you out. Not a bad choice!
You need the textbook because you have to turn in notes on it, but honestly save the money, and just go to ex libris and take notes with the book on the shelf. The notes dont have to be good, they just have to be taken.
She is a great professor and if you pay attention and try to learn, you will get a high grade. If you are lazy or don't give it your all, you will find yourself behind.
I took her drawing 2 class and was not impressed. Assigns busy work, talks a lot, has you do a lot of fast forced gesture drawings of the same things. a large chunk of students' grades are based on whether they took and submitted progress pictures of the project, not the actual final piece itself, which makes no sense.
If you take Burgos, 90% of your homework time is going to be work from her class. I find it unnecessary that she gives 10 tiny projects under one huge project. The whole class in general is way more work than needs to be given to understand concepts. It's an easy A though if you do the work, mostly. I did learn a lot though.
Professor Burgos gives great feedback and wants her students to succeed if they are willing to put the work in. All of her projects allow you to explore different media, but force you to do a lot of process work. After taking this class I have improved SO much with practice and have realized how important process work is.
Good Reliable Professor
Professor Burgos is a nice, laid back person. But as a teacher, she has been my worst of them all. It was so painful to go to her class. Shes super intimidating, not easy to talk to at all, passive agressive and definitely prefers students who are amazing at drawing, rather than the ones who struggle. Tough grader. If youre a beginner, dont take it
Prof. Burgos is a great teacher and you will learn a lot in her class. She gives good feedback and pushes students to do their best. However, be prepared to work a lot in class AND outside of class for a good grade. She can be strict and skill-based, so if you are not a drawing major I do not recommend!
She is such a sweet, hardworking, passionate professor that challenges her students to be their very best so they can be the best artists possible. I've taken her for Drawing I, Drawing II, and I will be taking her again for Life Drawing I. She is lovely and answers any questions you may have!
You will learn so much more and receive greater direction from Burgos than from any of these other teachers. Ive noticed some complaints about her prolonged demos, all of which are done to help you understand the process. You have to work but honestly? This is nothing compared to major classes.. Id love to take her again for life drawing!
Professor Burgos is such a great teacher! She gives a lot of work, but you become such a better artist because of it. She genuinely cares about her students and wants them to succeed. I definitely recommend taking her especially if your major is drawing based.
I love Burgos. I had her for three quarters in a row. Lovely woman, gives great straight forward critique that never tears you down. Very challenging class, but she makes sure you are a pro at whatever you're learning by the end of the course. She is a gem.
I had Professor Burgos for Life drawing and I got to learn a lot and get better at it. But she has a lot of sketchbook activities. But she strives hard to make students perform their best!
DO NOT TAKE PROFESSOR BURGOS. She wastes time in class by complaining about stupid things, her grading criteria are unclear and she is way too obsessed with progress pictures. I got a B+ in her class even though some of my projects were picked out by the Dean for the catalog. She can be rude and inconsiderate. TAKE ANOTHER PROFESSOR.
Professor Burgos was a great drawing 1 Professor. I didn't get to chose who I had for Drawing 1 because I took it first quarter of freshman year, but I was very happy having Professor Burgos. She is very patient and gives good, very helpful feedback on projects. She was very quick to learn every students name which was nice.
you rarely get studio time in class to work on projects, so you're left having to work full weekends to try to get stuff done. is super meticulous about the process to the point where the final project is an afterthought. a ton of homework too, be aware
she talks SO much, there isn't time in class. She says to spend 6 hours a weeks outside of class doing her homework, but it's really about 20 hours of work a week outside of class because she gives tons of random small projects with the big projects. If you're not strong at drawing, she will tell you your work looks bad and to change everything.
She talks way too long during class and assigns huge projects with outrageous deadlines. The worst work I have ever done was in this class because she gave no time to complete it.
Professor Burgos is a great professor, very inspirational. You can tell she like to teach. Some of my fellow students think she is tough but I think she really what us to learn. I learned so much from her. I'm not here to just pass the class, my parents are spending a lot of $ for me to learn. Thanks you professor Burgos for all you do.
Burgos is a great professor, she reminds me of Mr. Maharrey (the best professor EVER !) she is tough and passionate. If you don't like to work and learn this is NOT the professor for you. I'm not going to say that i suck at drawing before but if you see some my final project you will be surprised. I learned so much !!! Thanks professor Burgos !!!
Professor Burgos is a super nice person. She cares about what students think of her class, asking us what she can improve to make it more fun. We did 4 major projects (Time consuming but rewarding!), complimenting them with small exercises per week and process books. She helped me become better at drawing and more careful with sighting. Loved her!
At first I didnt really enjoy Burgos class, but she really grew on me. She expects a lot out of you but as long as you really put in the time and take her advice, youll do well.
I hate to be hard on Burgos because she seems nice, but this class was soul-sucking. I dreaded going to this class. Students are given almost no creative freedom. Process books were full of extra exercises that took time away from major projects. If you have her for DRAW100, I hope you like sighting and measuring. Never taking a Burgos class again.
Super nice woman. I didn't like her at first but she grew on me. Gives great critiques without feeling like she's insulting you. The class was a little torturous in an online setting because she isn't very tech savvy, but I feel like I would have enjoyed it a lot more if I were on campus. Lots of homework, but it's worth it. I learned a lot.
Burgos was one of the worst professors I've had. She gave lots of homework (only some of which was truly relevant to the project/course). Her expectations for each project were vague (at best). Her grading was also painstakingly slow. It took her until midterms to get her first grades out. Everything we "learned" in class was taught in DRAW 100.
Prof. Burgos is a true gem! She is really attentive and if you care about the subject and put some effort you will get a good grade! She gives great feedback and is super helpful! She uploads lots of demos so you are never lost and can get an idea of what she wants. She is super sweet and caring with her students.
Great teacher, but you have to be very specific about what you are asking for. If you zero traditional media experience I wouldn't recommend taking her as she typically explains things in a way that only makes sense if you think like a traditional artist. Otherwise, she's a solid teacher! Assessable outside of class, and very involved.
A lot of projects that are great for portfolios, WAY too much work.
Professor burgos is a nice lady, very thoughtful and tough. She definitely knows the subject but she gives a lot of work.
I am so glad that met Professor Burgos in the first term of my SCAD life. She is serious, some time do not give us homework clearly, she does not know how to give feedback softly. However, she is really want us to be better, she gives me many help after class and explains to me patiently. I have add her class for next quarter as well.
Burgos is great if you are passionate about art and actually want to grow your skills! I am spending a lot of money to be here and I do not want a teacher thats not going to push me. Thats why I am going to take this teacher every chance I can get. One crit is that i would like to have more time to finish projects and spend less time on process.
If you like sighting and measuring this is the class for you. Very little class time for actually completing the graded projects as it's mostly dedicated to busy work. She knows what she's doing but the timing and course load didn't match up well.
She’s okay but man she’s an odd prof and her projects were just all over the place but it’s all very informative
Shes very sweet, but theres a lot of homework outside of the class. She expects students to work 5 hours outside of class for extra portfolio homework. I definitely recommend a different teacher. Sometimes her sentences dont make sense.
She knows what she's doing, but she assigns LOTS of work. Projects are fun and long-going, but it's stacked w multiple sketchbook asmts & perspective exercises. Ill-prepared, frequently asked us what to do for asmts. Had us vote for best works in critiques. Also has a light stigma against digital art in concept dsgn/ precise perspective drawing...
She expects too much. I spent 45+ hours on homework each week that wasn't my main assignment. A lot of work is taught through videos outside of class. My score would be a 1 but she offered me support in an emergency that she by no means had to give. She is kind, but unless you are prepared to do insanely detailed perspective work, skip this class.
Prof. Burgos is definitely good at what she does and truly cares about her students. I had a lot of freedom on projects and got better at backgrounds and perspective drawing. She is very accessible out of class and had lots of helpful resources. My only complaint is that I wish we had more time on our actual projects and less on the process.
Taking Inventing Environments gave me several mental breakdowns. I am not one to shy away from a heavy workload, but this class was ridiculous. Do NOT take this class with two other studios, you may not survive it. Burgos herself was kind and flexible, but the amount of work/info was too much to process. HEAVY with technical perspective work.
I had Professor Burgos for my DRAW100 class. I am VERY hesitant to say yes to taking a Burgos class again, but her teachings did end up being fairly useful, and I have become a better artist because of her class. However, she does give a LOT of work. There is not usually much time in class for the projects, and expect some lecture time in class.
Brush up on your use of charcoal. 9/10 you will be using charcoal as your medium for her projects.
While scary at first Professor Burgos is truly a caring and amazing teacher. I am so grateful to have had her for DRAW100. I feel like I learned much more than my friends with other drawing teachers. Be prepared for a lot of work! All the work pays off if you really try and are open to learn new techniques.
She is not the best teacher for a foundations level class. She expected us to already know how to do a lot of technical things, she didn't do much to help anyone who wasn't already an amazing drawer. She wasn't responsive to emails or couldn't put things into a reasonable place on Blackboard, making a lot of the content really hard to locate.
Professor Burgos knows her stuff, but she's not the best at explaining things thoroughly. I had a rough first quarter and during conferences we discussed my situation; she definitely gave me some leeway, but after the meeting, she kinda stopped giving me in-class feedback on my work. If you take her class, be ready for lots of technical work.
worst teacher i ever had fr
Professor Burgos always helps to ensure her students are understanding the actual concepts and theories and provides great feedback and suggestions. If you have a small live session class, she will focus on helping you out first before moving onto the lecture/demo. If you are an asynchronous student, she will give video feedback specific to you.
Provided extra help sessions on weekends, personalized video feedback to asynchronous students, plenty of demo videos that are right in the modules (so easy to find). DISCUSSION BOARDS MATTER!!! Don't forget those! Very kind and wonderful to interact with and provided not only helpful feedback, but will also do draw along suggestions for your work.
DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS. She gives an enormous amount of of homework alongside of exercises, leaving little to no time for actual projects. I tried to email her about the workload and how I was struggling but I just got a response of that's just how it is. I have never lost so much sleep to a class ever. The only bad class I've had at scad.
If you are someone who enjoys a lot of assignments and busy work, Adriana Burgos is for you. Despite earning an A, I had to drop out due to the amount of work expected, which caused me a lot of emotional distress. She is strict about following the syllabus with no flexibility, and she teaches in a way that works for her instead of her students.
I wouldn't recommend taking her classes, it's a heavy workload and she doesn't give clear instructions on how to complete a project or format it. Doesn't respond to emails, never gives feedback until well after a project is submitted. She doesn't really teach the class, she gives a "demo" of her drawing and expects you to somehow learn from it.
I just wanna say that Professor Burgos is an amazing person, even though some of the major projects are kind of difficult due to the media that we use and the process, she explains everything clearly, answers the emails very quick (in the worse case it could take 2 days as a max) and will make sure that you leave the class with a lot of progress.
prof burgos is a good teacher, she shows you how to do the drawings and talks to you about the technique however she is a pretty rough grader you can't be one second late to a project submission because she would take 20 deduction points.
Very project centered course.
I definitely feel like I learned a ton of drawing skills that I would never have known without this course. However, it is very homework heavy and can be very stressful. To succeed with this class you must be very detail oriented when reading assignments as the info for projects tends to be scattered in Blackboard.
Learned a lot in this class, there is a lot of drawing assignments and process books so the workload was time consuming but the practice made me a better drawer. The prof goes over the basics of sighting, proportion, shading, etc. and I found that helpful. A little lecture heavy which was meh but she offers a TON of office hours which is helpful.
She teaches the intro class like we were supposed to know the basics and more. She moved at her own pace and kinda just told us to draw a certain way and never showed us how. Very hard to keep up with her and stay on track for homework. My whole class agreed that she was not teaching us anything but expecting a lot from us. Would never take again.
May not be every student's teaching style, but highly effective in improving skills. You'll quickly see who can and cannot keep up with the course which may be intimidating to new students, especially those who have no experience. Pen,Charcoal,Graphite on large scale projects. Go into this class with a good attitude and you will improve immensely.
Gave long demos which were helpful as someone who never took a drawing class or worked with charcoal before and I felt like I learned a lot. Incredibly specific with how she gives points, but as long as you do your work it's not at all hard to pass. Not very understanding, but gives great feedback.
Shes a good artist, and a really good teacher Its just that her expectations are reallu high and force u to do a shit ton of work in little time The assignments and their instructions can be a but annoying and confusing at times too
Professor Burgos really does know her stuff. Her classes are a lot of work but you will grow as an artist coming out of one of her classes. If you have questions don't be afraid to ask even if she does kind of come off as intimidating! You have to be able to time manage when taking one of her classes so be prepared!
Very nice, professor. Due to her lectures, the class could sometimes feel like it was dragging on. There is not much work in the class itself, but be prepared for twice as much work outside of class as there is in.
She STRESSED me. She is TERRIBLE at explaining instructions and will leave you so confused. If you want any free time, stay away. She wants you to put over 15 hours in her foundation class.
She's fine, I personally thought the amount of work you had to do was a lot, especially for a foundations course and she tends to drag her lectures.
Be warned, she gives SO MUCH homework with very small deadlines, it's worse because she's also a very tough grader for a FOUNDATIONS CLASS and gives low grades to even satisfactory work. She has given advice that did really help me with drawing anatomy, but she's very vague on her demos and just draws and expects you to know exactly what to do.
Every Monday and Wednesday before 5 I sob because I have to drag myself to this god forsaken class what did I do to deserve this??
Her explanations are difficult to follow and her lectures just go on very slowly. Also her critiques are always very picky like nothing is ever what she's looking for. The class critiques are the worst she just walks around and loudly points out whats wrong infront of everyone. Rather than the class giving eachother criticism.
Her lectures are very lony and slow but her explanations are not very good. She does demos and critiques but I personally don't find them helpful. She also assigns alot of homework and is very picky when critiquing.
Did not enjoy this class. I felt that her critiques were biased, confusing, and sometimes completely wrong. When explaining assingments I was often left more confused than before. Theres even more I dont enjoy, but I'd be here forever. I do not reccomend.
The professor expects professional-level results but assigns an overwhelming amount of work, leaving no actual time to learn or improve. I never felt like I was growing as an artist, just racing to get endless assignments done. Overall, this class drained my creativity. It felt like busywork rather than an opportunity to learn.
