don't ask her about probability. She is funny /great, can't help but like her
great teacher and helpful in any math related subject
Great teacher, she's knowledgeable and easy to approach with questions. She's funny too!
Great teacher with lots of maths knowledge but doesn't know what the students ask and how to answer and gets pissed of pretty quick.overall she is pretty cool
Excellent prof. Best Math teacher I ever had. Need help, ask and you’ll get it. Very clear. Helpful handouts
If you have to take pre calculus take it with Adriana. She's a fair marker and a great teacher
I finally understood what I was doing in Math grateful to Adriana. Very organized. Thorough lectures. Lots of help after class. Best teacher ever. Thanx Adriana
Thank you Adriana
GOOD OnE>>>but she sometimes gets pissed so easily...
easy + nice !!
Horrid teacher, she freaks out all the time, and fails students based on attendance. Even if you ace the final, if you miss classes, she may fail you. Avoid the accent as much as possible!
Excellent teacher!
She's interesting. somewhat hard to understand. but if you get past her accent its pretty good. i found that class to be very very easy! and you have to attend class or you more likely will fail. she has a sign in sheet for everyday. but i have a awesome mark that was easy to get so im happy
Helpful and pleasant teacher. She cares about her students. I wonder how do those who miss classes want to know anything since they were always ignorants. If it's so easy to get a good mark in this class, how could she fail you for missing classes, guys?
Adrianna is an excellent prof who knows her math very well. her handouts are helpful and she helps you get a better mark by giving you two mid-terms (one of which isnt durning exam time). Her little 1,2,3... 1,2,3.. song will help you as well!!!

Awesome Teacher! You'll enjoy and learn a lot!
My favorite instructor. Thanks, Adriana.
Excellent teacher! So funny, and I love her cute accent! I have learnt so much from her, be lucky if you get a class with her. Thanks adriana.
Excellent professor. I could not have gotten luckier having Adriana for my first college math course. She has a super cute sense of humour and marks extremely fair. If given the opportunity, be sure to take at least one of her classes! Thanks Adriana!
Highly recommended for her dedication and clarity. Wished all our courses were as organized and clear as her course. Thanks Adriana

great prof; very helpful and always pleasant
Adrianna was an awesome prof. Always helpful, really caring. Made this course easy, although sometimes the marks were obsquer. Highly recommend her.
Adriana is such a good teacher...I would definitely recommend her for this course. She's always available for extra help and is a very fair marker
Very nice to you, unless you get on her bad side. Simplifies things very well. Treats students with respect and is a very fair tester/marker.

adrianna once told a kid that if he ate candy in her class he would get fat and lazy. she also told him that his parents pay for everything and that's why he was rude and didn't pay attention. That just made my year!
You'll like her class and learn a lot. She's a great teacher. Thanks Adriana
Probably the best teacher I've ever had. Lots of examples and a keen interest in helping students.
Really great teacher. Enthusiastic and is willing to help all the time. Her quizes are easy, if you do the work. Gets you prepared for the final exam thoroughly. One of the best calculus teachers I have had. With her everything makes more sense.
I liked her classes and her style of teaching. She helps you so much. Just do your part. Very fair marker. Thanks Adriana.
Very angry at the world, do not ask what she said or she will get very mad.(has an acsent)
Finally I don't fear math anymore. With Adriana, things are so logical and clear. Always makes sure everybody understood what she taught. Excellent in returning tests and excellent marker.
Adriana made Calculus I and II as pai free as possible and put lots of time into helping us understand such a complicated subject in a short time. thanks Adriana
Most pleasant, skillful and excellent teacher ever had.
Really great teacher, pretty funny at times. Marks fairly, helps when you've got a problem
This is the wrost teacher. She is rude and does not want to help students. Angry at the world should not be teaching anymore.
Always helpful and wants to build students' confidence. Great papers'return; very fair marker.
awesome person, great teacher, very helpful and nice. Had her for two courses and would recommend her to everyone.
Adriana has an accent as most of us "Canadians" do. Nonetheless, she is easy to understand, super friendly, knowledgeable, and an excellent teacher. I would recommend her to anyone who wants to learn or brush up on math.
Nice Prof.
I hate Math. I do. And I didn't like this class because I hate Math. It had nothing to do with Adriana. She was nice and she explained things as best she could! She was nice and always offered extra help. If you try hard and accept that help (like I should have) you should do well in her classes.
i am shocked with this teacher. rude! she purposely speaks loud when aiding a student so others can hear how she criticises them. i have not had a good experience, and am blown away by the positive comments she's recieved.!
Awesome teacher very friendly and loves math
I wish I could have Adriana for all my classes. Finally, light at the end of the Mathematical tunnel!
Very rude! Picks on students infront of class. wastes a lot of time trying to make people feel stupid, then goes through material at lightning speed to catch up. Doesn't cover material very well.
Really smart teacher, she can help you with any question so you understand. However, she's not very polite and makes you feel stupid about asking the question.
Once you get used to her, she's an awesome prof. I recommend taking her class if you have the chance.
GO TO CLASS IF YOU WANT TO PASS! She gives you the material you need to know! She gives good study questions to do in the text! Lots of office hours if you are unclear about topics!
She was an awful teacher who provided no help whatsoever and her accent made her almost completly incromprehensible. I would advise you to wait to take this class until another proff is available.
Excellent prep for the final. Very helpful worksheets and quizzes.Always friendly and welcomes students to her office hours. Thanks, Adriana
I took this course before and failed it. Wasn't very motivated and skipped some classes. Adriana helped me to ketch up. Very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.
Highly recommended
Adriana is a caring professor that truly wants her students to succeed. Her notes and handouts were very organized which helped to present the material in a clear and concise manner. Her quizzes and class notes were excellent prep for the final exam. Thanks Adriana!
adriana is a great math teacher. her handouts are so helpful and she explains topics well. she has a bit of an accent, but it's not hard to understand and you'll get used to it. preps you well for midterms and final exam. she's also pretty funny.
Dear Adriana, It?s my pleasure to be your student this year. Here I'd like to express my thanks to you for all the help you provided to me. My experience of more than three months of Math 107 study has dramatically improved my skills. I feel mathematics is one of the most fundamental course
Adriana is a good teacher, she has handouts everyday and that is what the quiz is based on. If you study the handouts before the quizzes/tests, you will have no problem.
Great teacher! Crystal clear notes every class and so easy to follow. If you need help she's ALWAYS useful and very easy to approach. I highly recommend Adriana for any math course!
AMAZING MATH TEACHER. Great. Take her.
AWESOME TEACHER! makes a lot of mistakes so pay attention and don't be afraid to speak up. Very helpful and knows what she's doing. Pay attention shes very good at what she teaches
Terrible at teaching. She does hand out printed notes that you can study off of, but if you want to learn from a prof rather than notes, then DO NOTE TAKE HER. She does not teach the core concepts well and can be very rude. She also has a bad accent.
Very good at explaining, making the course enjoyable. Very fair and friendly. Knowledgeable, approachable. Humorous, gets to know students by name. The handouts are beneficial and knowing which questions for which topic is easier than always looking. Love getting handouts, make notes taking easier
Was an absolutely amazing teacher! Has a great setup on how to teach things and really cares about the students. Weekly quizzes are a great help. Definitely take her class. I went from failing math to an A-. Whatever she can do to help you, she will do it!!! GREAT PROFESSOR!!!
Definitely a character! and don't be late! Adriana is a FANTASTIC professor, and great at teaching this course. I'd take her again for anything. Weekly quizzes really help you to keep up with the material and you know exactly what to expect for midterms etc. TAKE HER!!! A definite Y-E-S!!!
GREAT TEACHER! Very clear, always helpful and easy to reach by email if you miss her office hours. She will definitely go above and beyond to help her students. I highly recommend you take her class!
Wow, all the good comments. I guess everyone has had her for easy stuff. This lady is mad at the world and very unapproachable. Just puts up questions with the answers on the projector and expects you to learn. If you ask a question she makes you feel like an idiot.
My favorite teacher at TRU! She is so organized and weekly quizzes really help to boost your mark. I seriously wouldn't have gotten an A if she hadn't been my teacher.
Didn't understand anything about the course. Donno if it was me or her tho. I can't stand handouts personally cuz it makes me lazy in class but that's just me.
She's funny and nice but doesn't like stupid questions or late students. Kind of hard to understand sometimes and was a little confusing at times but definitely knew her stuff. Tests were fair, closely followed material covered in class and weekly quiz's keep you aware of her grading style and difficulty.
she seems scary at first but is hilarious and DOES have a heart! she truly cares about you passing and I am pretty sure she gave me extra percents on the midterm and final! respect her, show up to class, and laugh at her jokes and you will pass.
if you need a teacher to be articulate.. she is not. you will need the text book because her explanations are very hard to follow and expect tests every week. if you ask for individaul help she is ok but she sometimes will talk down to you. if you can follow her notes and scribbles on the board you should be ok.
Adriana is organized and makes you think. Before Math 1000 I had problems with factoring and logarithms. Adriana made the click possible in my mind. I'd take another course from her
Adriana is tough as nails in the first week or two to weed out the week, but if you make it through that time she's a complete beauty. Demands attendance and hard work and if you provide that you'll end up with a strong mark. She hands out daily worksheets that lay out exactly what you're going to learn.
Terrible at explaining concepts and topics in class. She would just turn on the projector and start reading whatever she had scribbled down. Preferred to do all the questions herself and acted as if the class wasn't even there. Seriously disappointed on TRU's part, I was definitely expecting more.
Almost weekly quizzes keep you on track with good feedback. She expects students to be mature and learn on their own but will always help and answer any questions you might have. Her worksheets are fantastic and keep her class structured, organized and paced appropriately. Excellent teacher (especially compared to others at the university).
really knows what she is talking about but shes definitely a subjective grader (if she likes you she grades easier), after the prof evaluation she kind of stopped teaching which sucks but take her class because she writes the final
She is really good teacher. Her test is not really stuff. She have 2 version A and B. But I saw she had version A less than version B. I found that version A was more harder than version B. Also, She will give version A for good standing student. It's weird. On the other hand, she is really helpful professor in TRU. High Recommend!
Easy to pass if you put the time in
Hard to understand sometimes and picks favourites all the time. Encourages people to ask questions and visit her during her office hours, however, most of the people that asked simple questions in class got yelled at. She skips a lot of steps when she solves problems because she finds it unnecessary to write them since she knows how to do it.
My best Math teacher ever. Good worksheets to prep you for quizzes and exams. Excellent return time for graded papers.
Adriana is one of my fav profs. She's very clear and concise with her lectures. She uses worksheets that she's created which are awesome. She's also quite funny. Caring toward seeing students succeed.
Adriana comes off very intimidating, however she is caring about her students and wants them to succeed. She is fair in her marking and her testing. She is a great lecturer and checks in to make sure everyone is following along. DO NOT SHOW UP LATE, she has no time for people who are disrespectful
I've had Adriana for two math courses and she is one of the best math teachers I've ever had. She is very clear with what should be expected on tests and exams, so there is no reason to do poorly. She is full of personality, but don't be late to her classes. She wants your attendance and effort, in return she will recognize that when grading.
I love her as a person, she is kind at heart but does most of her 'teaching' through worksheets. If you do not already know the criteria you will fail. She is hilarious but her teaching is unclear and there are no notes, just worksheets so be prepared to create your own notes form them.
She has very clear rules, which is good, and her way of organizing classes makes it easy to study ahead of time. She posts solutions to every problem. That being said, she is one of the least approachable people I've met. Her stern demeanor and fear tactics ("participate or you will fail, your choice") disguises the fact she is happy to help.
Adriana definitely picks favorites, she doesn't like if you speak another language in her class. She was very racist to some Spanish boys in my class. If you ask a question she deems as dumb she'll make sure the whole class knows youre an idiot. even tho most of them have the same question. If you struggle with math dont take it with her.
Our favorite teacher at TRU. Very helpful. Thank you for your help Muchas gracias por toda tu ayuda
Worst teacher I have ever had. She picks favourites. Save your time and money and stay away.!
Most unhelpful and not at all approachable. Also, her pattern of teaching and taking exams are not up to the mark. The important point I felt was that she used to teach easy questions in class but the exams are relatively tough.
Adriana seems to be a very caring lady. However, her teaching didn't suit me. She doesn't seem like an approachable person and when questions were asked she responded to them as if we were already supposed to know. Not a bad teacher though. Also, her tests are very unbalanced, with 1 mark questions to 24 mark questions.
Adriana seems harsh but really is a nice lady if you are on her good side and don't come late to class. Her teaching style makes it easy to learn. You are graded on a midterm, your quizzes average, and the final exam so its important to do well. Her midterm and final both consist of questions seen in previous worksheets.
all I can say is that she is a good teacher, she tries to make jokes and to make you comfortable in her class.
Adriana was quite harsh at the beginning. If a student walked in late then she would kick them out. She doesn't allow phones in class. She was quite accessible outside class and she was a lot more friendly during her office hours, and she was more than willing to answer your questions. Was definitely a difficult class. Few quizzes and a midterm.
She's a very respected professor that tries to make you feel comfortable. You don't do notes, just a new worksheet every class, she goes over everything very fast so pay close attention and just try not to blink.
She is nice but can come across as harsh at first. Do not show up late if you do you may get kick out of the class. If you are a slow exam writer I would not suggest taking her class. Only three people in my class finished the midterm in time and almost the whole class took the full three hours to write the final and most did not finish.
Adriana was a great math prof. She only teaches you through examples and no notes and her quizzes and midterms were very similar to worksheets. If you are a slow test taker I would not recommend however. Only three people in my class finished the midterm in time and many did not get to finish the final as well.
If you can teach yourself fairly well, then take this class. You get no notes, its all based on worksheets and she doesn't walk you through it, just gives answers. If you're late, don't bother coming she'll kick you out. her accent is thick and hard to understand. If this is the only prof left then yeah take her.. otherwise pick a dif prof!
She is witty and enjoys students who show up to class, don't be late or skip a lot because she won't have sympathy for you if you struggle. Overall a great prof for this class, she explains the material well and supplies you with worksheet based notes. But seriously, don't skip you will not do well, she doesn't post much on moodle.
If you are naturally good at math and you already know most of the stuff - Adriana is your choice. If you actually need to learn maths - not with her. Boring lectures with almost zero explanations and too many questionably funny jokes. Fair grading and expectable questions on the tests though.
