one of the few great english teachers! extreamly helpful and clear on what she expects for HW and papers. Also, willing to assist and answer any questions you might have. She has children and so understands students and not afraid to show emotion. She was a person not a robot like other english professors. TAKE HER WHENEVER YOU GET THE CHANCE!!

Teacher was very helpful. Held class at 630am, so she was usually coming in tired and juiced up with caffeine, but was extremely helpful to the point where she gave out her IM. Was clear, precise, and to the point. You want to get by with a C, show up and turn in some of the work. Do it all, an A for sure.

She is very helpful and if she sees the class is struggling she always adjusts assignment due dates!!! English 101 in the summer time was a breeeeze. Right now Im taking 103 and the workload is a bit rough but it is all material that is pretty easy, just a little bit time consuming. She makes english enjoyable though, you really do learn. I love this teacher. I recoomend her to everyone!!!!!!! Take her and if u try u WILL get a good grade!!!

I never got more than a C on my papers for non-English classes before I took her class. This semester I starting getting A's on my papers for other classes. If you want to learn, take this teacher--she's great! But don't skip classes--if you do, you'll get lost fast.

i'm sooooo glad i took this class. i recommend this teacher to everyone. she tells you exactly what you have to do in your essays, and she explains everything until you understand. very patient, very helpful, very caring. best college class i have had, and i used to hate english classes.

This teacher gives a HUGE workload. If you do the work you learn A LOT. She is very nice and understanding, but thinks she knows everything. If you have time to work, I recomend this class.

Before i took this class, i knew that english had been hard for me in the past but a month into this class and the Eng 50 class i knew that i loved this teacher and hands down she is the best teacher i have ever had. you will love her class. i suggest you check her out before anybody else.

Professor Peek is a good teacher overall. She has 1-2 quizzes a week; which are easy, just read before the test... Also, she assigns 2-3 journals a week and there are 31 journals in total (DO THEM!). You have to do 5, 1,200 word essays but there not hard; just use the book. Do all your work and you'll get an A.

OMG, TAKE THIS TEACHER! Her classes are just so cool. I totally look forward to going to this class, and I usually hate English! She expects a lot, but she lays everything out in a clear step-by-step way, so before you know it, you've written a paper you didn't think you could write.

This Prof. is a great teacher, she is extremly tough and up front. If your looking for a free easy grade this isnt the class for you. If your serious and want a teacher who you feel, will keep you inline this is her class because every assignment in her class matters if you miss days you will fall behind. she is an awesome person and professor!

Mrs. Peek is a wonderful person as well as an instructor. This class takes a lot of hard work to keep on top of assignments, however all that is learned is very helpful in english 101.

Professor Peek is the BEST professor here at MJC, in my opinion. She taught me a lot last Spring and not just english, but life lessons, as well. Her class is very hard, but you should do fine, if you do the work and listen to her instructions.

Peek is a great instructor. She does have a lot of work, but most of it is journals which is very easy. Only thing is she does not allow any make-up work. There is also quizzes pretty much every day. She is very helpful and you can always go to her office or email her about any question you might have.

Had a great time. The work was alot, but what a English class should be. Thought she presented the materials very well and always has her door open for questions after class. Thanks Peek for the great semester.

ALOT of work, but as long as you do it and turn it in on time, you should get a passing grade :) she isn't a boring teacher, and she tells funny stories that connect to what we are learning in her class. after six absences, your grade starts to drop half a letter grade for every day you miss after six days. so use those six days wisely!

This class was fairly easy. She assigns a lot of work, but it's not difficult. As long as you keep up with the assignments you should pass with no problem. Always kept the class interesting and fun. It wasn't a typical boring english class. Highly recommend this class.

Peek is an awesome teacher. The only people that avoid this class are the ones looking for an class with no work. Peek will defiantly teach you what you want to know, and help you excel in college. Highly suggest taking her classes!

WOW!! This class was hard! Just do your reading and assignments in a timely manner and you should pass. She was very helpful and quick when asking questions. She created a FB forum for her classes which was very helpful! Not recommended if you work full time and have a family. I wish I had taken this on campus so I could understand it better!

This class was very interesting to say the least. Mrs. Peek has a way with words and she tells it how it is. It is fairly easy to have a good grade in this class, just do the work and ask question. I hated the workbook at the beginning of the course but it saved my life at the end.

Great class! She was a little bit intimidating in the beginning but don't let that scare you. Thoroughly goes through what she expects us to do. If you do the study guide then there is absolutely no way you can fail the midterm or final. If you do the work and read what she assigns you will do great in the class.

Just show up everyday. Do your reading and journals and you will pass easily!

Easily most influential teacher I ever had. It was not an easy semester work wise. It's tough at some points, but her lectures about life and staying on track always stuck to me. Loved her class and I hope everybody else does.

She. Was. Awesome! I took her English 101 class and loved it. She isn't the easiest teacher, but you LEARN. If you're going to need more English classes like I do, then you MUST take her class! She explains everything and is extremely helpful. I wish I could have her as a professor for every English class I've yet to take.

Professor peek is an AMAZING instructor. I took her for english 50. You have to work for your grade. She gives out daily quizzes and you learn alot about being on course and success. She follows her syllabus. Mandatory is a must to pass the class. She doesnt accept late work. she is not lazy and really cares about her job.

Professor Peek is a great teacher. I learned a lot of things about my self with her class. She gives a lot of homework, but she also gave us time to finish it. She collected the journals every Monday. In order to pass her class students needed to all their journals. This class required plenty of writing.

Professor Peek's class was quite challenging but if you decide right away to commit yourself completely, you will be fine. I felt like I learned how to write proper essays and research papers but more important, I learned a lot about myself and many life skills I will be able to use in the future. She's tough but also compassionate :)

Mrs. Peeks class was very fun and I very much enjoyed attending her class. There is a lot of homework but its not really that hard. She is very sarcastic and fun to be around. She gives good feedback and really cares about her students. I loved her and she is my favorite professor! I would def take her class again.

You can tell Prof. Peek really wants to help students out in college and in life. Her course improved me as a person, overall. Her approach to writing is personal and conversational; she likes to hear your input. Do your weekly journals. Actually read the On Course chapters. Organize research notes before writing! Don't forget about the quizzes!

I loved her class. She doesn't take crap and she will call you out on it. Some students say she is rude, but she just wont take crap from students . You need to work for your grade.

Professor Peek is a great English professor. Since ENGL100 is ENGL 50 & 101 combined. I took it the first semester it started. She gives 4 essays which are really easy to do and a lot of reading. You need to annotate the reading but you can easily write a bunch of BS through it. She is awesome and doesnt give a damn. WOULD RECOMMEND! SHE CARES!!!

Some may think she is a harsh grader, but if your taking her for eng 100 or even 101 then her feedback on your mistakes is important, how else will you learn? Show up, put effort in, do your homework and you'll be fine.

Yes, it was a lot of reading, annotating, and writing. Besides that Professor Peek was DEDICATED to helping her students pass. She gave feedback and ALOT of extra credit. Overall, a passionate teacher that does care about students learning experience. Some say she is a tough grader but she is FAIR and wants the material to be learned correctly!

There is no doubt that professor Peek makes you work for your grade. Although, the work is not too hard if you make sure not to procrastinate. Her grading system is a little different compared to other professors, but she is an overall amazing professor. I would highly recommend taking her class.

I took the online 5wk class in the summer. There was an essay due at the end of each wk. We had discussion boards due pretty much everyday. There's quite a bit of reading & annotating, but it helps write the essay. She's really nice and she doesn't grade harshly, but she does give good feedback.

I took Professor Peeks English 101 class over the summer. She cares about her students success so if you have questions EMAIL HER she replies quickly. She is a harsh grader so you have to put your all in this class. If you set a time to read the assigned articles, do the work and ask questions you will succeed in her class! I would recommend her :)

I see many bad reviews for Professor Peek, but I love her teaching style. Her class is difficult, time consuming, and will challenge you but at the end of the day if you do the work you will get the grade!
