Shes pretty cool teacher. Not much reading and essay are not so hard. work load is not much. Just do the work and turn it in on time and you should be good.

mrs sharp is the best english teach el camino has. she bives you about 4-5 papers. two are out side papers 1 research paper and two in class essays. and with all she explains what she wants so you dont feel like you dont know what to do. plus she helps you get started by writting the first paragraph so you dont have a problem getting started. sometimes she's too easy. she's very animated in her lectures, almost like she belongs in an elementary school. but she is a sweet woman and knows what she's talking about. but her essay assignments are a bit too easy for a college course.

This teacher was one of the best teachers that I have ever had. So yah she is one that you need to get. My friend had her for English 1A and passed. The very next semester she worked her whole schedual around Mrs. Sharps English 1C class. So that just tells you how good of a teacher she is. Well good luck.

So engrossing in her poems, she acts out every character which keeps your attencion fully on her. She is very easy going and helpful and makes each class as easy as possible

I felt like I was back in kindergarden, and everyone in the class went along with it. That must be what going mad feels like. And workshop is just as bad. She has no idea how to just tell someone they're bad at writing. Everyone probably left that class thinking themselves "unique". This is not a good review. The class is too easy; too boring.

If you want an easy class, take her. She does give alot of essays but if your confortable writting them, then youll do good in the class. She's not a tough grader when it comes to grading her essays.

Amazing! She was the best english teacher! Essays are easy, and she helps the class write the first pharagraph. She has socratic discussions in class where everyone sits in a big circle and has to talk three times to get an "A", talk two times get a B, talk one time get a C, if you dont want to talk you will get a "D" for just showing up.

Great instructor, she is very dramatic while reading the text assigned. 4 essays assigned (very resonable, I have had 6-7 assigned in other classes). Attend her workshops, they will help you in what she expects in the essays. She isn't very strict on attendance, but you could easily miss notes given that will benefit you in your essays.

Awesome teacher very helpful! Some essays(about 4)but for the most part its pretty easy. Something I found very helpful was the fact that she does these group circle type of things for the essays where people can get pointers and help.She is pretty laid back and relaxed and She is also always available for help if you need it, you just have to ask!

Not an easy class but i still love her class because she teaches me to write good english essays. Because her class is not easy, i feel super proud when i received an A from her. Her class includes 3 essays, 1 in-class essay, 1 research paper and 2 socratic dicussions. She is very impartial. You will receive a grade that you deserve.

I am really bad at essays but Mrs. Sharp was so helpful! And really nice! I took her over the summer for English A I was a little scared because I thought it would be to fast pace to do essays but she made it simple for us. She eases you in to writing different essays and doesn't rush you! In total we did 4 class essays and 1 in class essay which was the final one I got A's on all essays! Mrs. Sharp is a great professor. She lets you know exactly what she wants on the papers and is very approachable. During office hours, she'll look at your entire paper before it's due and give you some suggestions on how to improve it. Make an effort and you'll get the A. It's a very worthwhile class and your writing will improve if you take her.

Took her Creative Writing class & really enjoyed it. Textbook is mandatory for the first half of the semester. Handful of simple quizzes, along with one short story. Small group peer reviews for the remaining of the semester. Prof. Sharp was very helpful & easy going. I plan to take another of her classes.

This is the class to take if you really need help writing essays. She takes it to basics and they get more complex as you go on. She is extremely helpful if you have any questions while writing. You have to work for your grade, but it is fairly easy work. I'm not sure if someone who writes well would enjoy the class, but I'm sure you won't hate it!

Took her for creative writing. This class was really fun and easy! Quizzes are based on the reading from the textbook, so make sure you have it. The big project is to write your own story and then have others in the class read it and critique it. It was actually fun and most of the comments are constructive and friendly.

I HATED ENGLISH BEFORE HER CLASS!! I would dread writing essays but with her she walks you through it and makes it very easy to stay focused and she gives plenty of time to do it. So i didn't do the 1ST essay (bad me) but i did the other two and got (A and B-). 4th, my research paper got an A-. workshops are mandatory: if skipping critiquer loses a letter grade, and the "chosen one" gets an F regardless of essay. Socratic discussions, speak 4x A, 3 B, 2C. she also gives 1 one week extension for 1 essay. really easy.

I had fun in the creative writing class (took it Fall 2014) this teacher knows her stuff! No need for a textbook! You do write your own story 12-24 pages long. The only thing I disliked was how when students pick apart your story flaws, you can only focus on the negative. She likes depressing topics for some reason!

Professor Sharp is amazing! She assigns 5 essays, one is an in-class essay and the last one is a research paper. She has workshops for each of the essays, one person is chosen to present the essay. Everyone critiques it in a friendly environment, and you get to take the essay home to assist you with your own essay. Overall a brilliant educator!

I really enjoyed this class. Everything written on the syllabus is true. The class had a simple set up: announced reading quizzes, class exercises, short story, and the workshops. All of the excercises were fun to do. I would definitely take this class again with Sharp.

She's great. Easy grader. She selects good books for you to read & write your essays on. I hate public speaking so I was worried when I found out there are 2 Socratic Seminars, but when the time came to do them I talked a bunch both times. She creates a very comfortable environment that makes you not afraid to share your insight!

Easy essays, writes thesis paragraph for you for the first 2. 1 Research paper, and 1 in-class essay. In-class essay being the easiest. Exams are easy if you do the reading.

She follows the syllabus very well there are no surprises. She walks you through each of the papers even the research paper by writing your opening paragraphs and giving you benchmarks+time in class for the research paper. You don't really need the grammar book, she lends students her three copies in classed she writes everything on the board.

Professor Sharp was great! Kind and amazing with her words. There's 5 papers but she helps you prep a LOT and gives you a lot of time to work on things. The grammar lessons help with your writing and she'll let you fix little errors in your essays for more points.

Took class during COVID-19 which caused course to transition to online lecture. Even so the class was amazing. She gives amazing feedback an is a quick grader and responder to your emails. Very simple class and with easy quiz questions as well as assignments.

Prof Sharp's class was really to the point. She provided all of the reading material we needed and she grades clearly. Completing the journals will help with writing your short story, so def do them. All in all, a fantastic teacher and her class is really fun.

Professor Sharp is enthusiastic and cares about her students. I took her summer class for 6 weeks. Our final grade was the average of our essay grades. Finish every paper and apply the feedback and you will get an A. Professor Sharp provides great feedback and ensures that you have the tools to set you up to become a great writer.

For the whole semester there were 6 discussions (about 2 photos, 3 articles, and a short play) and 5 essays (analyses of one of the photos, two of the articles, the play, and a research paper). The essays were all 5 paragraphs and the research paper was 5 pages. She gives really good feedback and a lot of time to complete everything.

I took Professor sharps summer English course. We had a discussion and about one essay due every week. She graded fairly quick and gave great feedback. She makes sure you know what to improve on and leaves room for improvement. As long as you do the readings and put in your best effort, you should get an A. Highly recommend taking this course !

I took her online class. We only met up once a week. Each homework assignment was a 3-4 process. Good homework assignments and lectures. Would so recommend professor Sharp to anyone that is looking to taking an English 1A online class.

5 papers are split into segments due each week, doing the grammar exercises bumps your paper half a letter grade. Prof Sharp gives very clear feedback and suggestions, if you wrote more than what was due that week she will comment accordingly. I found her sample outlines and formatting examples very helpful. Have not had a better college professor, one who actually prioritizes teaching and invites you to ask all the questions.
