she is a very sweet lady. she definetly wants everyone to do good and she will try her best to make sure everyone knows and understands math. she is very dedicated to her job. take this teacher.

She is very helpful. You need to do the homework every day and ask her questions if you don't understand something. The class is not hard even if you don't like math. It's not a blow off class either.

I thought she did a great job! I believe ti may have been her fist year when I took the class. Im not saying its an easy class but ask for help and she will get you thru it! :-) good luck!

In all my years that I've struggled with learning algebra, i never understood it until I took it with Mrs. B. She is by far the best math teacher I've ever had. Plus if you have good attendance, you get a nice amount of extra points on your final grade. would def. recommend her for 95 or 98

Mrs. B has gone above & beyond to help her students. She drops the lowest test grade, drops 2 of the lowest quizzes, allows you to correct your tests. She is funny but you have to make her remember your name so PARTICIPATION is strongly suggested. She does move fast. Do your homewrk but she doesnt count it at all.

Good teacher! Tests and quizes are multiple choice and she drops the lowest test and quiz grade. You also get 2 percent added to your grade if you have good attendence!

She gives you breaks on quizzes and points for going to class. She's so funny and willing to make the class as easy and painless as possible.

Mr. Ballouta was an amazing teacher! She makes class so much fun! And she's hilarious. She does have an accent, but you can still understand her very well. This teacher is seriously amazing. She is so smart and wise and likes to help out everyone at anytime. If you have any kind of problems even if it doesnt deal with math she will still help. The only people that hate her are the kids that took the class 5-15 times and dont do any work. I mean its math 095 how hard can it be.

she is a good math teacher when it comes down to it. makes sure you understand the definitions of things. for example what is a rational number and why is it called that. favors her arab students though and will pick you out purposely to answer a prob at times if she can tell you dont know. her accent really isnt that bad, its just fast speaking

I always hear students complaining about her in class that she's not helpful or mean. She's really not, whenever I ask her for help she explains it wonderfully and is very nice about it. In a way, I guess she has a loud voice which may scare some people. Overall, she's a good teacher and an easy A if you pay attention and study.

She was a very nice and helpful teacher. Being as I was a returning student, I really learned and understood a lot of her teaching methods. There was homework assigned but wasn't required for a grade it was for your own benefit. Your grades were only calculated by quizzes/tests. I recommend taking her for a easy grade!

Math is my worst subject but I managed to walk out of that class with a b. she is very nice and helpful. She doesn't require you to do the homework so make sure you study for the quizzes and tests. Very strict attendance policy so try to be there for every class :)

She asks if you understand the material before she moves on. She does go a little fast at times but she tells you to tell her what she can do to improve. Homework is not mandatory, but DO IT, it helps you pass so much more. Do the reviews before quizzes and you'll pass with an A. You only can be absent 3 times before it affects your grade.

Probably explained more to me about math in a semester than all my high school teachers. She talks alot, but that's because there is a lot to cover. If you struggle with math I highly recommend.

I took this class twice (098 algebra) and the first time I took it I failed because I sat and chatted with my friends. Ballouta is great at explaining and she is an amazing teacher. Shws ALWAYS there for extra help. The course is a tough one and but she takes the time to teach it well. She is good to joke with occasionally as well :) please take her

She is a very easy teacher and makes sure you are able to understand what she is teaching. If you need her help she will provide it. She gives out homework from the book, however she does not collect it. It's to your advantage to do homework because she goes over it the next class.

She is very helpful when you don't understand and has you work with your neighbor a lot. there are plenty of chances to earn points incase you fail a test . Mrs. B was great! Math is not my strong subject but she always was available for help. She does go at a faster pace, but just take notes and don't mess around. Do not come in late. Math XL(online homework) is used. Take home tests are sometimes given. There is no extra credit so you work for your grade. Great professor and recommend her for math.

She is awesome. I loved how she explained the lecture. We had 4 exams and the final . She reviews before exams. Her homework is a lot, but you have until the day defore the exam to finish them. I do recommend her and I would take her again

I've taken her now for both 095 and 098 so that should tell people something. You are graded on tests, homework, and the final. I needed help and she was very accessible outside the classroom. She will go through every type of math problem on the test. Wish she taught MTH120. I'll miss having her for math! Thanks Ms. B! You are the best professor!!

Professor Ballouta is a very passionate woman who cares about her students. She is very patient with questions and is willing to go over a concept as many times as needed. She provided a break during our long class period to allow us to refocus. Professor Ballouta is a wonderful math teacher who really helped me understand the concepts.

Took during COVID - I scored a 3 out of 50 for the math placement test. I took him for a non credit math class. Using math xl was a gem and actually the best math class I have had in my life. I felt like he was a bit rude at times, but compared to other non credit math classes and teachers he is the fairest on the amount of work you do.

Very nice person, caring, wants you to pass, can get confusing with accent during lecture, always makes sure you know what you are doing, class can be difficult if you don't try.

I took professor Ballouta for Math 090 and she was super nice and straight forward. Easy to understand and she wants you to pass. Just attend all classes for the short lectures and you'll do amazing.

Very good at going over her material, she’ll go step by step to make sure you understand what she’s doing. She’ll tend to popcorn the class to make sure you participate in class which tends to help you understand the math problems. She’s does have a heavy accent but I was still able to understand her lectures.

honestly the best math teacher I've ever had, she does have a bit of an accent but I still understood her. Since some material can be overwhelming, we'll take a 2 min break throughout class to freshen up our mind. Homework is easy going and so is the exams. She'll definitely make you participate in class no matter what but only to help you engage.

Great teacher, always taught us what would be on the test during classes, and gave us all of the help we needed. The homework is worth a letter grade and is actually good practice so if you are willing to do a little bit of homework then this class is a very easy A.

I struggled with math since middle school, professor Ballouta is the first professor that made math easy for me. She's passionate about what she teaches and makes the material very easy to understand. I even went out of my way to make sure that she's my math professor again next semester.

This professor was AMAZING. If you fail it's because you're either lazy or don't care. Yes she's fast paced but if you stop her to ask questions she will thoroughly explain it. There's a lot of online hw but it's manageable. There aren't many tests AND she does drop your lowest test score so there's no excuses for you to fail.

Her lectures finally made me understand math. She teaches in a way that makes it easy for everyone to understand the topic. Many people complain about her picking students when they don't know the answer, but that is not a problem in my opinion. You won't be graded on that, and she will simply pick another student. She's very kind and cares.
