final is easy but class is boring. he is not punctual. he changes his mind lot .not at all organize.

All of his quizzes used to be accessible through sororities or fraternities. Now he has off the walls quizzes that nobody gets good grades on-you can't even google them. This class used to be easy I heard, but not anymore.

Back in the day, he was definitely an "Easy A". Everything was online and he was soo disorganized that he rarely took up any assignments if he even made it to class. Now, everything has been taken offline. No one understands a word he says because he's foreign and speaks softly. Do not take him if you want a good grade, much less an easy A.

DO NOT TAKE IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR AN "EASY A"!! He has taken everything offline and there is no way to make a good grade anymore. He's impossible to understand and soo disorganized. He seems like such a sweet guy, but he just isn't a good teacher. I'm sorry, Dr. Atassi, if you're reading this. I like you as a person but you need to step it up!

This is only my second day in his class and I'm already bored. You can't understand a word he says. He pulls up random YouTube videos and starts dancing across the stage! The class started March 7th and the syllabus and notes STILL are not posted!! Make sure you bring something to class!!!!!!!

this guy is an awful teacher...who ever said that the test were from the quizzes on moodle lied!! He changed that and they are only over what he talks about in class. You can't understand him and he makes that class so boring, which makes this class difficult. If you are looking for and easy history class don't take him! One of the worst!

This guy is completely awful. He barely speaks English. He's late to class almost every day. And all he does is read his powerpoint presentation during class, he doesn't really teach.

This is THE WORST teacher I have ever had. He rambles incessantly about nothing related to the power points that he shows in class. He informed my class at the beginning of the quarter of extra credit and then revoked it near the end. If you are interested in History at all, DO NOT take this teacher!

Dr. Atassi rants randomly and easily gets off topic. He never covers a whole chapters power point if he covers it at all. All the learning I did in this class was on my own. When it came to helpfulness on the 25% of our grade term paper he could care less about helping students. I would not recommend this teacher.

This class had the potential to be great, but this professor ruined it. He doesn't know his facts. Talks about his political views all the time.Never finishes a chapter because he rants about nonsense.He is not helpful when it comes to reviewing tests or helping with a paper. If you have any love for history, DO NOT TAKE HIM. Worst professor ever.

This dude is unorganized and seems like he doesn't like to answer students questions. He has assigned seating in his class and I was put in the seventh row and couldn't even read his powerpoints because he will not make the powerpoints fullscreen despite multiple students asking in class and multiple emails from me. Do not take his class.

Terrible professor. I've always enjoyed history, but this guy makes the class boring and unenjoyable. He will lecture and give information, only to contradict everything he just said previously. Due to weekly quizzes and assignments it is easy to get an A in with a little effort. But don't expect to learn to do well on his 10 question midterms

Changed the text the first day of class, has a tendency to ramble and get off topic. He makes two hours feel like a lifetime. I truly dreaded going to class and I love history. I brought my computer most days and did homework for other classes. Everything is done online, including the exams. Overall a poor teacher and lecturer.

The course content had no issues. Dr. Atassi, however, wasn't as good. All of his content was online, but none of the course content related to another. He had a bad attitude when answering questions and was severely unorganized. I made A's and B's through having had to teach the course to myself. Do yourself a favor and don't take Dr. Atassi.

I wish I would have listened to the people telling me not to take Atassi. He's a nice guy. He lacks the proper skills to actually teach. He knows what he's talking about, but can't relay it in a fashion for anyone to understand. Class is always confusing and no one really knows what's going on. I can't wait for it to be over!

Class is a joke. Professor is a bigger joke. He is un professional and does not care about student well being. Papers are un necessary and his work is busywork. Please do not waste your money for this type of instruction.

I took this class a year or so ago, writing now because I was told this website existed. Atassi is a nice enough person, but an awful teacher. He is unprofessional to an extreme, and class was a chore. He made a fascinating subject a bore. He said it himself, that he prefers research to teaching, and it shows.

Boring and doesn't stay on topic

I took his online class and had to drop it. Way too much work for a 101 class, and he would never respond to my emails when I needed help. He tried to schedule a midterm during a religious holiday and gave very little notice when he changed dates. I have a 3.86, but I had to drop this class. Be warned.

Mr. Atassi doesn't stay on topic at all. His class isn't difficult,you show up and after time is up you leave. The only issue I had was he didn't put a syllabus out until he dropped the midterm and I literally mean 2 minutes before he posted our midterm on moodle(that he assigned on a Friday afternoon with no mention of before). NEEDS ORGANIZATION!

He is easily one of the worst professors I have ever had. For most days of class he is at least 10-15 minutes late. His lectures are hard to understand because he mumbles and we are 2 months into the quarter and only on chapter 3! His midterm we had to take online and only gave us a minute to answer each question. Do not take his classes!

Professor Atassi is a smart man but just because he is smart does not mean that he knows how to teach. More than half the class leaves after signing in. What he teaches in class is hardly ever on the 40 online quizzes that you have to take. I had to rely on the internet to pass the class. The internet taught me more than his lectures.

This man is a stain on the reputation of LA Tech. He complained about his pay in front of the whole class of 100+ people as if he did enough work to justify being paid at all. He skipped class without warning 5 times. He doesn't deserve to have a job. He never showed up on time throughout the whole quarter. He also says incorrect stuff all the time

Atassi does not deserve to work as a professor. He is one of the most unprofessional people that I have ever met. He was 15 minutes late to class everyday. Also, he would not show up some days. He would not stop complaining about his pay. If you enjoy listening to a man ramble about topics that he knows nothing about, this is the class for you.

This professor loves history too much for his own good. Lectures were long, drawn out ramblings about things that DID NOT matter. Does not know how to weight grades properly, so seemingly insignificant things can affect your grade more than the final and midterm combined. I'd rather drop out than even consider taking Atassi's class again.

DO NOT TAKE ATASSI! He is definitely the worst professor I have had in my entire academic career. He is extremely unprofessional. Shows up almost 15 minutes late to class everyday, and reads out of the textbook for the ENTIRE class. I love history but he makes me dread it every day. He should not have a job at all! He makes Louisiana Tech look bad.

An absolute joke. A recorded lecture from years ago in which he has to DEEPLY sigh sentence. He is unreachable via phone or email. We are taking the final exam BEFORE the final module exam. Atassi needs to re-assess his ability(or willingness) to teach this course - or any course. And COLA needs to re-assess how much they need this professor.
