Decent professor, but way too shy. Best intentions
Classes are a bit slow, but no real need to attend them.

best intentions, boring, cares about student issues
He is awful!! Doesnt speak loud enough, looks crazy-cut the hair man!!
seems like a nice guy, cares about students, needs to speak up though
Best intentions ??? That's useless if you can't hear him. He's terri

needs a microphone and a little off the top. but don't touch the back!
Poor test questions, based on his own beliefs. Different beliefs = wrong answer.
Huhh, what's going on???? He tries though.
Good Guy. Smart but very Shy and Quiet. it does look like he tries to do a good job though
I hear many complaints about him, but I kinda like him
Too damn quiet and classes are useless to attend
his heart is in the right place and he is genuinely concerned about his students but it would be a lie to say that he is good at what he does!
I transfered tutorials. Need I say more? Lee Windsor all the way!!

He knows his stuff, but is way too soft spoken.
It's not that I don't like the guy... He seems extraordinarily nice. But I can't hear a word he says. I'm 5 feet away from him, and I can't hear him. Something's wrong with that.
What can I say? He tries.
His quiet wimpy style is amusing at first, but after about 3 classes it becomes unbearable. Critical Thinking was pretty easy though, in my opinion.
Sit closer if you can't hear him....dumb idiots
Hard to hear, but sit closer since about four classes in no one will show up. A moderatly easy class but don't leave all the reading for the final exam till the night before like I did.
He's hard to hear if you don't sit up front, but he speaks louder if you ask him to. His tests are hard and cover more than just the book.
He's often gets things way off even when its directly in front of his face. But to make up for this he is a fairly easy maker on essays
Very understanding, helpful, funny, entertaining. Never miss a class with him. You won't regret it. Loves his subjects with a passion. Has high standards.
He's hard to hear and you can't understand anything
Seems like a nice guy, he really tries, and he smiles, but, when it comes down to it he's not the best prof. I love philosophy, and it's that flare for the subject matter that got me through the course
He's hard, very hard to understand and Found him to be very unhelpful when I had questions and problems. Stay AWAY!!!
Difficult to understand. You would think that a logic course would be pretty straight forward, but...The material is easy unless you rely on the lectures.
He does speak very low, but he is interesting in the way he gives his lectures. His lectures do not follow the text, and I didn't like his choice of text. Hard to understand. Overall, he isn't the best prof, but give him a chance before you hate him.
worst prof ever can't here him at all

Prof Rahmanian has a great passion for his subject and obviously spends a lot of time thinking about it. His lectures are extremely well organized and easy to follow. Take good notes, keep up with the readings and you can get an A in this course. Oh ya, sit near the front - he speaks softly. :)
good prof. easy to follow although he speaks real soft and is sometimes hard to hear. if you attend class, pay attention and take good notes, you can get a good grade in this class. lots of dumbasses in the class who either didn't show up or didn't shut up. he's a good guy.
good prof easy to follow
Once I asked him if he could speak louder and he gave me such an embarassed look I felt guilty. He did let me rewrite a midterm though.
He's a little weird but he knows his stuff and is really well organized in his lectures. Like someone else said, attend his clases, take good notes and you'll get a good grade.
He's a good professor who is always well prepared for his classes.
good prof. study notes are very helpful. road map is clear.
very keen

Knows his stuff, but it's very hard to hear him and very hard to understand what he's saying
My class had a drop out rate of 80% if that tell you anything. Hard to understand him, not very clear, actually reads from the text the whole class. Not very helpful either. My suggestion is to find another class unless 1. it is a lower level or 2. you need the class to graduate as I did.
Very well-prepared, great at making students think for themselves and examine things from unfamiliar angles, useful and thoughtful written feedback. He's good at clarifying new concepts and fields questions without being judgmental. Sweet guy, good prof, sharp noggin'.
Excellent prof. Very well prepared for every class and DOES NOT read from the textbook. He has very well developed lecture notes and uses those extensively to stay on track. He does have a soft voice - if you can't hear him, sit at the front. I would gladly take another course with him.
Nice prof, marks fair on his test. Read the book, sit near him, he speak soft
good prof. very well prepared for his classes
Very nice and funny guy. Can't understand him really tho but evrything else makes up for it.
Very sweet and super intelligent man. He really makes an effort to keep the class open for discussion. A little hard to hear though.
He's a good teacher, and he knows what hes talking about. He's very intelligent, but he needs to speak up and explain things more. He explains what he thinks, but not the people from the textbook?! Over all he's pretty good.
His lectures are vague when he wants clarity and precision on exams.yes soft speaker at times, but more importantly, his thoughts seem jumbled.By the time he finishes asking a question, you forget what he's asking! He truly is a sweet man, and I feel bad because he took alot crap from my particular class, and still remained VERY ETHICAL

An extremely intelligent man, and deifnately knows how to explain his views. Sometimes dry and hard to understand, but if you listen it will be worth your while. An overall good teacher.
Did not like this prof at all. He wasn't a good teacher. I learned nothing from this class. First class ever I missed a lot of time as I dreaded going.
Has a really wide scope of knowledge about philosophy and isn't afraid of putting forth controversial ideas for consideration. I'd like to see him teaching more upper level courses.
seems nice enough, but I had to drop the class because I couldn't understand what he was saying
Terrible, absolutely terrible
He is the worse prof. I have ever seen. He has political agenda and will never answer any questions. Seems uneducated and can't be understood because of the accent and his weak tone. The course is a waste of time. The only interesting persepctive is that it is controversial but he ruins this because of his clear bias views. DONT TAKE THIS CLASS!
Wish he'd taught more upper level classes. Great prof. He's funny, subtle, daring and brilliant. Makes you think of things differently than the norm.
HORRIBLE. Impossible to understand. Not helpful in the slightest. Rambles on about unrelated subjects, does not clarify lectures. Does not help with essays. avoid, avoid, avoid!!!!!!
I think he's very intelligent, I have not had him for any philosophy courses but I think he would very interesting as he knows a lot. He makes you think about why you are giving the answers you are giving which is challenging and make you see everything is not just black and white.
Very unclear and hard to understand.Expects you to attend all lectures and ask questions on anything you dont undertstand which was everything for me.Not helpful with questions at all.Although he provides you with a study guide for the mid term and final but you must have a very clear understanding to answer the questions for the study guide.
absolutely horrible. avoid if at all possible. so difficult to understand. speaks very low and does not clarify anything. if anything he makes things worse. mandatory tuturials with him were hell.
Oh sweet rahamanian, if only you were a direct speaker and could say what you mean in more than just one way. classic example of too smart and can't get why u don't understand. he has a huge heart and is always willing to help. c'mon, go to class guys, just grab a coffee :)
Rahmanian is an underrated prof. He knows the subject matter very well, and is interested in what he teaches. Good prof if you are actually interested in philosophy and engaging the material. Just ask questions when you disagree or don't understand a position, he's always willing to have a discussion.
Cannot understand a word he says. Is unable to help with any essays. Does not understand the concepts he is teaching. While instructing "Philosophy of the Law", he was asked if justice should be black and white, and he didn't understand what the student meant. If 25 people walk out of my class midway through the lecture, you shuldget the message...
He's cool, his lectures are interesting if you try to engage the material. I found him extremely helpful, fair, and clear. He talks softly, so sit up front.
Very hard to understand. Sit up front. If you read the text, you will do well in the class without attending.
Clearly a waste of my tuition money. As useless as business ethics is, he's possibly the worst prof on campus. He's a smart man, but he's anything but a teacher. It's clearly unethical for him to be teaching.
A joke class...Obtained a B- by going to class about 4 times. Read the text and your golden. Prof. is boring though.
Although intelligent and amusing, this professor is incomprehensible. His lectures consist of reading from the textbook, but he diverges wildly from the theories. Before fully teaching concepts, he contradicts them, which makes the lectures painfully confusing.
A good prof, speaks very quietly though. Most business students hate the course so they bash him, but I thought he did a good job. Business ethics is a dry course no matter who you take it with. Also, we only had a midterm (40%) and a final (60%) with him. As long as you read the book and are good at writing this class is an easy A.
Such a nice guy. Comes off as very nervous and often seems like he is scared of you. However, he is very helpful!
Great prof, super helpful. Wants you to do well.
Prof is very, very quiet. Lets personal views on politics and capitalism slip into lectures (2203 is Business Ethics). Mostly pleasant in dealings with him. Lost 20% of my essay grade with little explanation, and 25% on a mid-term question for being "too hard" on the essay's author. Wouldn't take another course with him -- turned me off of PHIL.
honestly can't figure out what he's trying to say... I look all of the terms up online.
If you want a good grade, stay away from him! I can not concentrate in his class. I went to class regularly and almost fail at last. There is another section, they have only multiple choices in test, but for him, we have a lot of essay questions, and he gave most of student half marks of each questions. Seriously, dont take his class
I love this guy!! He's so sweet and nice. A bit quirky and absentminded in a good way. The midterms were super easy. Pretty much read the book and add some personal opinion and you're golden. He sometimes wanders off topic to other unrelated philosophical problems but overall great guy. Unfortunately, the course was still a bit dry.
Speaks very, very quietly. Important to take notes because the textbook at times can be unclear/he will test on things we have talked about in class. The exam has 5 questions - he gave us all of the questions (practically word for word)before the exam, so if you go to class and take notes, you will have no problem in this course.
really hard to stay interested, marking can be a bit confusing, not knowing where you lost marks
WORST CLASS EVER. I need it for my degree and this prof is terrible. He looks for near impossible answers. Gives bare minimum marks for everything. His tests are essay questions where you basically need to memorize the book. I'm a very good student and find this HARD
WORST, and it was a mandatory course
Got more out of the textbook than the lectures. Classes were never engaging (I went to almost every one) so it was difficult to absorb information. There is one quiz per chapter and personally, I ended up just reading the chapter and then doing the quiz. It still did not guarantee that my mark would be 100%, but I definitely learned the material.
Oh my god avoid if possible. Literally the most boring class I have ever been to. He's super contradicting, and gets mad when people won't answer his questions in his class. But if you do, your answer is almost always wrong, even though its all open to interpretation. His exam was the exactly the same way, all opinion but only HIS opinion.
Rahamanian is generally a nice guy and is friendly to his class, however that is not what you need is a professor. He is utterly terrible at trying to convay any topic, the examples he uses are very vague and sometimes un-helpful, and any imput from students that is different to his own opinion are dissmissed.
Extremely long and boring class, the worst class experience I ever had. No ppt and used and projector, what a joke...
He doesn't want to make it difficult at all. He's always ready to answer questions and very kind. He's a little confusing sometimes because, it seems like, that there are too many thoughts going on at the same time in his head. He has a very unique and entertaining sense of humour.
I wouldn't take another class with him again. He wasn't a bad prof but his lectures are very boring, he's difficult to understand and his tests are pretty hard. He cares about his students but isn't easy to learn from at all.
I would say avoid if you can. Literally the most boring class I have ever been to. He's confusing , and gets annoyed with students not answering his questions and when you do ,your answer is almost always wrong. His exam was the exactly the same way, all opinion but only HIS opinion. I just wish I knew what his opinion actually was! Horrible class!
Ahmad is willing to go the extra mile outside of the classroom to help out his students. He is NOT a prof that simply puts in minimal effort to scrape by.
Very quiet, lacks empathy, and does not explain concepts well.
very good prof, he understands the material very well, is always kind and his office is always open for students. The wording on the online quizzes can be a little confusing but he is always willing to be corrected. I have never taken a PHIL class before, but if you attend class regularly and make a little effort, you will get an easy A.
Gives nice feedback on your work, although he may be vague to avoid spoiling the answer. Even answers emails during weekends.
