Very dificult class but you receive so much homework and quizzes that you can raise your grade despite bad test grades. He gives plenty of extra credit and is one of the few professors who actually knows his students by name.

Hard test, but Statistics is a hard subject. He uses PLENTY of extra credit to make up for it. (75 becomes 105 after extra credit) As far as teaching ability, He is one of the best at ASU IMHO. Knows ALL students by name. Accent can be hard to pick up.

He makes class fun, but Business Stats is a difficult subject, and he doesn't make it easy. If your good with math, take Syamil, it will be fun. If not... good luck. He also give a lot of homework and bonus points to help boost your grade.

This is a class that most people try to avoid at all costs, but I recomended taking it with Dr. Syamil. With anyone else, you could easily get lost in all the technical jargon, but Dr. Symail makes sure to explain everything clearly. You can't go wrong with this class.

Hard class since I had no previous knowledge on the subject. If you are on top of things, read the chapters and do your homework, you'll be fine.Attendance very important, if not then you have to be able to teach yourself. Many extra points/assignments offered to increase your grade.You are in college, you are supposed to work a little harder!

This professor is great. He made me laugh nearly every class which made class fun. The course is tough and there is lots to cover in a semester however if you come to class, pay attention, and prepare for the exams you'll come out learning a great deal(That's what it's all about right). The littlefield game is a great way to apply what's taught.

He was a good teacher, however, I felt that sometimes we had too much going on at the same time. That is what made it so difficult. But if you put out effort, he will meet that effort. If you work hard, you can pass this class.

This teacher is very fair and gives many opportunites to gain extra credit. The lecture goes with the outline and the slides provided. You will have to study and work for your grade as this is no "gimmee" class. Help is always available and you will learn about Operations Management. That is the whole point isn't it?

This class was very imformative. I would recommend DR. Syamil to any student, he is very knowledgeable in his paticular subject area. The professor is funny. This professor expects effort from students. Exams are MC. Class participation is an advantage for students. Hard work is needed to pass this class. Do study questions at end of chapters to help on exam and come to class. The professor wants students to pass and will work with you. 2 group presentations and some homework.

Although I did not particularly enjoy the subject matter, Dr. Syamil taught the class well. He was very helpful, and as long as you came to class and paid attention, it was easy to do well. Don't blow this class off, you must attend, but he is a very fair, good teacher.

I liked his class. He covered the material and used helpful illustrations and went out of his way to explain things that we unclear (if you asked). Dr. Syamil is great! The MBA class wasn't that bad, but the tests were honestly some of the hardest I have ever taken. However, Dr. Syamil does everything in the world to help you out with your grade as long as he feels you are trying (participate in class and become famous!!!). Dr. Syamil is an excellent teacher. He incorporates the lectures and the use of the text with application through real cases, as well as demonstration of skills through presentations. Dr. Syamil has high expectations for performance. These standards ensured that I learned the material.

Dr. Syamil's Operations and Supply Management course is not extremely difficult but does require a large amount of reading. I do remember studying for the daily quizzes for at least a couple of hours a day. I came away knowing more than I originally expected to learn, expecially for a summer course. He also graded the tests very fairly.

This is a difficult subject but Dr. Syamil makes it easy to understand and is available to help students. I learned a lot more than I originally expected and I would recommend this class to others. Just do the reading and keep up with the quizzes and you will do fine.

Overall I think the structure of the class was well done for an introductory course. There were plenty of assignments that helped me better understand the material. I also think that the amount of items available for grading helped to provide opportunities to improve my grade if I didn't do well in a specific area.

I enjoyed the class very much and learned a lot about operations management. I did find it hard to just study the book so I needed to be in class every day possible to uderstand some of the concepts, I would not suggest taking it online. Dr. Syamil keep the class room instruction very interesting.

The quizzes were harder than I thought they should be but the tests were reasonable (especially considering the curve). I learned a lot of practical application from this class. You must be a self starter to do well though. It was an online course so I didn't have much contact with the teacher but he seemed very friendly and upbeat during tests.

He is nice and has sense of humor. He give 30 extra credits for each exam. You need go to class because he will tell you what will in the exam and what you don't need to read in the book. This class can be a handful. He speaks English as a second language and once you get used to it you will be fine. It does take a couple of weeks though. attendance is very important. Studying in a group did help.
