Fairly easy class overall. Homework was pretty easy. The lecture part of the class was basically just reading off the slides that were posted on canvas. Attendance was not mandatory and all the textbooks were able to be found easily online from the "pdf" version.
The class overall was easy. Midterms were easy. The only difficult thing was the homework. The homework is easy just very time consuming.
Decent professor, that cared for the knowledge and basic principals of the material. Trust me not hard just look at the book and do the work. Its not a trick. Cares for students.
He is a very friendly person, his lectures are easy to understand and read. Homework is fairly simple. He doesn't assigned lots of work. Osman is humorous at times. Would definitely take this class/ professor again.
Professor Osman was my first step into engineering, he is recommended for any beginner engineering majors.
Overall a Great teacher. He gives plenty of time for assignments, and extra credit opportunities, and is very knowledgeable.
As I reflect on my academic journey, one figure emerges as a guiding light amidst the sea of education: Ahmed Osman. In a realm where excellence is the standard, Ahmed Osman transcends it, embodying the epitome of what it means to be an educator.
He is so fair and tolerant that the one person who fails is you. he is willing to do anything to make you pass. he shows some tough love but is willing to be more comforting.
The instructor's greatest strength is patience for the students. The extra credit is fair and he makes it clear what is on the exam. However, this class requires time. Lots of time that you would not expect a beginner level class to require of you. This class has probably given me more work than all 3 of my Calculus classes combined. Be aware that.
Don't take advantage of him. Show up, pay attention, speak when he asks questions, and do the work on time and you'll be fine. The class isn't difficult at all because he's willing to work with you and put things in perspectives to where you can understand them. He can accommodate for almost all students which is a benefactor for student success.
This class is not difficult at all, put in a bit of time to prepare and you will be fine. Homework can be a lot if you wait till last minute so don't procrastinate. Lectures can get boring but thats the material that will be on the quizzes and exams so pay attention or read it on your own.
Good professor
Great professor he knows what he is talking about and will always explain concepts if there are any questions.
This professor was very open about what will be on exams and quizzes. Was very understanding about what was expected of us when it came to every assignment, quiz, and exam (was a VERY easy grader). There was a group project and was again very open about was expected and how to pass the project.
The course is fun to take and the material presented is well taught and understandable
very straight forward with the lectures. gives a lot of homework but gives a good amount of time to do it. overall not a bad class.
A good professor
The professor is very nice and has a lot of knowledge to what he teaches. Whenever someone had questions he would be able to answer. The class is very theoretical based but the homework he gives helps and the labs. Do not leave things last minute. And always ask questions because he will answer. He is also available outside class.
Nothing too hard to handle, sets the basis of future classes. Homework involves AutoCAD and hand drawings coming from what you learned in class tied with some textbook.
He is very relatable to the students and funny. He encourages his students to talk and socialize with each other as well as chime in responses. Classes are quite lecture heavy, however, and it does get very boring when the class ends up being an hour-long lecture with not much in between, but I would still recommend him.
Amazing professor. Made engineering seem easy through his lectures, where he highlights important vocabulary/phrases to make it easier for students to study for quizzes/midterms. Gave a lot of time to complete homework and other assignments, as well as enough time to study for quizzes and midterms. Very good professor and I would take him again.
He is great and explains concepts really well. He will also answer any questions.
Not a very difficult class, lectures are kind of dense but he explains the important takeaways. Homework is also not difficult, but do not leave it to do last minute. Exams and quizzes are not very hard, the concepts were fully covered in lecture.
Great professor, knows his stuff very well, everything is pretty clear cut, make sure to start the homework early and not wait until last minute.
Professor Osman's class was very fair and pretty easy for the most part. Good amount of terminology and memorization, but not too bad. The homework assignments were a little long w/ respect to the drawings, but again not unmanageable. Grading was very fair in regards to homework and exams. Overall good and pretty chill class. Wish he taught 322L.
Professor Osman is there to help you if you are struggling and he also engages with students throughout the lecture. His class is designed to not stress you out, but don't get to comfortable. If you start slacking off in this class you may struggle to catch up.
The lecture has a level of difficulty but it your effort to ask if you do not understand because the way he explain after asking a question are super helpful. The homework is quite a lot but as he explains it not a one day assignment. Plus the course is very enjoyable.
I recommend attending every lecture because the professor explains concepts more thoroughly than the book & is willing to answer questions, no matter how long it takes. Homework is VERY time consuming but its the perfect study guide. Everything on the tests/quizzes is taught in class or on the hw. No surprises.
The labs can be a bit difficult but the homework is generally easy. There is a group project where you have to make a design.
Professor Osman is very knowledgable. Lectures can go kinda fast, but he takes a lot of time to ask questions and clarify without judgment so ask away. He's a fair grader and very understanding with students.
Mr. Osman is a great professor; he made the class pretty interesting. The important thing to know is that you should really pay attention. The material is pretty straightforward and easy to understand but it's easy to fall behind if you don't pay attention.
A decent proffesor
If you're planning to take EGME 102 in the upcoming semester, take Admed Osman. He gives tons of extra credit that can boost your grade. He's pretty lenient when grading homework and labs, and he really goes in-depth with the material.
Good lecturer and overall a great professor. Lectures are a bit long but he makes up for it.
Overall fun professor for a fairly easy class. Would recommend taking him.
He is a very chill teacher that goes very thorough with the lectures and labs, and he takes the time to make sure everyone is on the same page. Content is not too bad and not over whelming at all. The pace for them is really easy to follow. I would totally take more classes with him. Do the work and get the grade!!
The professor understood what it was like to be a student and the struggles that everyone has. The grading was very easy and the few tests/quizzes that we had were of topics that he went over in multiple classes.
As the semester comes to a close, I've found the coursework manageable overall. Quizzes and exams cover material from both lectures and homework. The lectures themselves are clear and straightforward, with practical examples that make the concepts easy to grasp.
Professor knows what it takes to understand and pass this course because he has taken it before. He understands the strengths and weaknesses of the class and does his best to explain the course rather than just throw the information at you.
This professor is very nice and can be available is you need it. He is very clear about what to study and what is on the tests. Professor Osman is funny and makes the class worth taking.T
Got lost sometimes but it was lowkey my fault for being absent a lot... Would take again 100%. Taught like he's been a student before unlike a lot of professors. Learned what I needed and it was fun. A lot of homework but a lot of time in between. Wish I could say more negative things but it all comes back to me. #king
very smooth and with the flow of things, he got to understand our class and really appreciated feedback as a class and wanted our outlook on things. quiz's and exam's are fair and balanced.
The content may be challenging but the grading is very lenient and informative. Pay attention to lectures and do homework because everything covered in those will be on quizzes/midterms. Professor is very instructional and relaxed, asks multiple times if everyone understands the concept.
Honestly, a really good teacher. Sometimes he can go a bit fast in lessons, but if you have any questions he's more than willing to answer all your questions until you physically have no more. I don't recommend doing this to him, but he's stayed after class, at like 9 PM at night, just to help me out on more than one occasion.A really funny guy too
It's really easy and straightforward. Not strict on grading
The professor is knowledgeable and delivers engaging lectures. I wholeheartedly recommend this course to anyone interested in the subject.
Honestly a great professor, but I won't receive the best grade in his class which is all on me. You will receive the grade you want as long as you complete all assignments and study before the exams and quizzes. The homework can be pretty lengthy, but not impossible to complete. I did not complete them as I did not have enough time.
Lecture can be boring at times, but they are straight forward. There is a lot of homework, especially sketching. He is straight forward nothing to crazy and if you have question literally just ask. Wish there was more AutoCAD but still don't mind if there aren't many assignments on it plus bonus, he goes over SolidWorks so that is a plus.
Prof. Osman's class was easy, he mostly lectured the material, wasn't boring, and kept the class interesting. Gave the resources for exams, quizzes, etc. He gave homework but not constantly and gave a fair due date.
The professor gets to class a bit late but seems at least motivated to be in class to teach. When someone needs help he is quick to stop the class just to answer any students question when teaching. He also thoughtful when he seeing us struggle on a assignment he is willing to extend the time just for us not to struggle which I kindly appreciated.
Checks for students understanding of the material and funny. Understanding and won't hesitate to help students.
The professor is a really good teacher when it comes to providing feedback. Honestly if you enjoy a nice and engaging teacher I would recommend Ahmed Osman as your professor. He did have a tough time controlling the class in the start of the semester and there was a lot of loud people in the class that would be distracting.
Be prepared for lots of sketches and reading when doing Homework. Long and a bit boring but clear and straightforward lecture. Straightforward grading, participation matters; The professor will always try and help you understand the material as long as you ask.
The lectures can get heavy so it is best to review back the notes on the lectures on your own time in order to pass this class. Be sure to ask him questions if you are confused on anything. I personally wish I would have asked more questions in this class, as long as you pay attention and do your assignments you should be able to pass this class.
There will be a lot of sketching and later, using AutoCAD to draw and learn as you continue this course. The lectures and homework are quite long, but are straightforward and easy once you get used to it. The material is also straightforward, the requirements are strict, so being prepared is always hopeful.
He was a good professor, and his lectures kept you engaged. He would always give very good feedback.
great professor very clear on the grading criteria.
As long as you do the homework, pay attention in class, and ask questions whenever you need help then you should pass the class.
The professor takes the time to make sure you understand. Doesn't flood you with assignments either. He'll even read your resume if you ask him to. Is pretty fair with grading as well.
Great flexible professor whos friendly with students and prioritizes making sure everyone is on track. He will help you at any point in the lecture as long as you speak up.
Instructor makes sure everyone is keeping up with the content of the class during lecture. He is very down to earth and helpful if you are struggling with the parts. Exams are a bit daunting but if you study, you should be fine.
For an easy and chill class, I would take this professor again.
Pretty easy class if you pay attention, Instructor will walk you through step by step completing solidworks parts and will stop if you need help to make sure everyone is keeping up. Only 1 solidworks assignment due per week and instructor is not very heavy on the grading.
Osman understands what it's like to be a student and wants to teach you what he thinks you should know most. He wants your active feedback in class so everyone stays on the same page. Clear with assignments and will help if you need it.
Overall, Osman is very easy going professor with an amazing personality. Lectures are pretty easy to understand and he ensures that students are all on the same page (for better/worse). His lecturing style is based on the vibes he gets with interacting with the class, i.e if the students aren't responding mood goes down and vice versa.
The course is pretty simple and easy to understand. The professor is very laid back and will help out in anything that you need help in. The assignments are easy as long as you listen to the lectures and are an easy 100. The only negative is that the professor is a very slow grader so you won't fully know your grade throughout the semester.
This course is really fun and isn't too difficult to learn. Osman is very helpful when you have questions and wants to make sure everyone understands what to do. Lectures might feel long, but they are super helpful. Questions are always appreciated and answered helpfully. Highly recommend for any skill level, you can tell he cares.
Osman will understand and relate what us students go through, and because of that, he is very patient with us where he will go to one of us if we ever run into trouble with the design we are working on in class. He will want feedback and interaction during the lecture to see if everyone is caught up and test is very fair. Very caring too.
Professor is a student himself, so he's understanding. Dude is just a chill dude.
Course material is straight forward, not difficult to understand. Osman is very helpful when a student is struggling. Lectures are engaging and Exams are fair.
He's chill and always shows up with Titan pride
Course material is straight forward. Professor very understanding. Always willing to help when struggling with the material if needed.
Prof. Osman is a really great teacher. He's super understanding and fair with grading, and his lectures were always clear and easy to follow. I appreciated how he explained things in a way that actually made sense.
Ahmed Osman does an amazing job at teaching 322L. He is very clear and patient during lectures. He is open to questions and heavily encourages you to ask questions or ask him to slow down if needed. I enjoy when he brings his job experience and life lessons into the lecture. Labs group project, and exams are straightforward.
The professor slows down to make sure everyone is on task and has completed the part to that point so no one is left behind. This does make his lectures feel slow and that could have been completed in half the time but that is only if you get the lecture. I would take him again
Great instructor that knew what he was talking about. Lectures are quick and to the point. Homework is challenging which increases your skills.
He really wants you to do the homework, loves class participation, and probably should do more review on class material before class starts.
Overall he is a good professor, he takes the time to make sure everyone understands the material. He is also very clear as to what is expected on the exams, and homework. Attendance is not mandatory but would recommend attending!
Excellent professor, be prepared to say yes or no a lot. Do not let the first class scare you. This class did well in building confidence with 3D modelling through SolidWorks. Osman is super caring and will respond quickly to any issue you have.
If you learn better by doing group work or a professor who is lecture heavy, Professor Osman is the best to do it. He knows what he is talking about and he is very open to questions as well. ASK AS MANY QUESTIONS AND HE WILL HELP!
Professor Osman is very focused on the lecture but has industry experience and wants you to start thinking like an engineer. His SolidWorks lessons are okay and definitely geared toward beginners.
The class is amazing I love doing this type of work, the 3D drawings, CAD and so on but the homework can be very heavy at times, sometimes hours long. I work so trying to find time is somewhat hard but the professor is very nice, lenient, understanding and funny. Try to sit close though because it can be hard to hear him from the back of the class.
A great professor. The exams aren't hard as long as you show up to the lectures. He tells you what you need to study. His assignments sometimes take time but most of the time you can get it done within an hour. But such a great professor and would take him again.
A good professor, more than fair to students, however homework takes really long and is behind on grading
Good prof. All around easy going and willing to teach, however he really wants class participation, a simple reply yes or no to questions will do, some of the homework can be very work heavy but get through it and try your best and other than that it's all light, good introductory class into mechanical engineering and engineering principles.
Professor Osman is someone I would heavily recommend to take a class with because not only does he care about your learning but the course material is also interesting and fundamental in a multitude of careers.
He is a good professor but can have instructions on assignments that can leave students confused.
Has a lot of homework when he assigns it, though he is lenient on it if something comes up. One thing I would like to add is that the response to emails and grading assignments is significantly behind schedule, which is annoying. Great professor all around, and he likes participation in group projects/ collaboration. Take his class.
A good professor. The homework takes a long time to complete, so be sure to give yourself enough time to do it. Exams are fair he tells us what to expect on the exam and the topics it will cover. Overall, a fair professor.
He's a good professor and a solid grader. For his EGME 102 course there i lots of drawing. So be prepared. Also AUTOCAD Sucks.
His teaching style is unique because he does an asynchronism day on Wednesdays of every other week and leaves an assignment due. His lecture method is effective because he stops if you have a question and goes int detail about it till everybody understands it. Overall, I would take this professor again.
Overall the class is excellent with not many surprises, assignments and a lab every week or so with a single midterm and final, as well as a group project. Attendance, although not required is heavily recommended as if you could get left in the dust. I would comment on grading but to this day I haven't had any assignments graded. Solid class :).
recommended for EGME 102
He cared about his students even if he's tough on them. Would recommend attending lectures if you want a good grade
If you keep up with the work and ask questions, you'll do well in the class. Some homework can be time-consuming, so use your time wisely!
HW is a lot of drawings, but it's graded on completion. Besides that he's a chill professor.
once you talk to him he can be a great teacher
Funny and interactive class. Textbooks are required, but they're obtainable for free. Assignments give you whiplash; one week you're doing one drawing and the next you're doing thirty. Overall, a pretty good professor. (Takes forever to grade assignments, though)
One of the best professors, not only instruction-wise, but caring in students success after graduation. Gives hope and inspiration to students who don't meet the rigorous requirements for internships or work exposure and were turned down. Professor is knowledgeable, attentive to students conceptual ambiguities, and mode of teaching is so effective.
The teacher is nice and funny but finals are coming up and I have no idea my standing in the class. His assignments are super unclear, I never know what to turn in, where to turn it in, or if there is anything due. This goes horribly with the fact that he grades nothing, so I don't know if I've missed something.
I recommend taking Dr. Osman's class, he is very knowledgeable and is serious about the student's learning. I liked that he was very honest about his expectations, exams, and assignments. He is a good dude who wants you to learn the science behind the design process.
Dr. Osman's class is fun and interesting. You don't spend as much time using SolidWorks but you learn a pretty good amount. Overall, an easy class to pass as well as a fun one.
The first three weeks lecture's going over definitions and concepts from the fundamentals of graphics textbook felt very tedious. No practice with the actual solidworks software and in general through the following weeks. Bad at giving out grades in a timely manner. Homework and lab work are simple. Respectful of his students and their time.
Good professor. Lectures move a bit slow. Gives time for assignments.
Professor Osman offers a lot of extra credit opportunities so that you bring your grade up and he asks students to participate in class to ensure that students are understanding. The final group project is a big part of your grade so start early because it will hurt your grade if its late and don't be late or absent on the day he assigns groups.
He takes class participation seriously so be prepared to answer him. Other than that, he tries to be a relatable teacher. He seems passionate about the class and is a fair grader. The class can be slow paced but it's almost a three hour class. He is clear on what's going to be on exams. This class also includes a group project and presentation.
Although his lectures can be slow, he takes the time to make sure everyone understands the material. Provides SolidWorks walk-throughs in class and exercises for practice. Watch out for a group project and stay ahead of it. Overall, pretty aight professor.
To summarize it, if you can take him, he takes care and makes sure that no one is confused in the lectures, and prioritizes that people's questions are answered and that you understand what you are confused on he might be a little slow on things he talks about but he is a great teacher with work that i not to hard and actually helps you
He was a great teacher very clear and made is lectures and hw very simple to understand.
If you don't have a lot of experience with SolidWorks, he will tackle the material step by step to ensure that everyone has the basic understanding of it. It is lecture heavy in the beginning, and towards the middle of the semester is when SolidWorks would be used. He provides a good amount of exercises to practice, but takes awhile to grade
One of the best professor on campus. Prof. Osman teach with care and respect. In his class, you won't get left behind. He will stop lecture to answer your question and literally go back 4-5 time for each step of the lab so you can follow. He give good feed back and advice.
Overall prof Osman was a great professor. The one thing I really liked about him is that he is willing to stop the class if someone is behind and helps them get on track. His tests are fair and he gives a lot of partial points.
This professor was honestly one of the best that ive had. No bs, he lays everything clearly out, grading policy, discord stuff, book stuff and always takes our input for regarding scheduling and other open ended stuff. He is cool with us, but also expects us to be cool with his and all is well. If you need this class, he's your guy!
This professor is very fair and clear on the criteria and work he requires of you. Many of the labs and homework he assigns are relatively easy, but can be time consuming. Would not recommend ever leaving it to the last minute. Only issue is that sometimes he takes a while to grade things. Good professor, learnt a lot otherwise.
This professor tries his best to ensure all students are engaged in the lessons being taught. Although they are sometimes slow, it is to make sure that students understand the material being taught. He is fair about grading and does say what is to be expected in projects and homework assignments.
Overall, he's a great professor to have as his lectures are thorough, there's a light amount of homework, and he will always answer any questions. He made this course very straightforward and makes it easy to understand for new engineers/college students. Would 100% recommend.
Class was really chill; there were only five Homework assignments, but they are pretty heavy. A very understanding Professor who knows a great deal about the field. A sincere effort should easily earn you an A. Just wish he updated grades actively.
