Awesome teacher, gives lots of HW, but it helps to learn the language. Best professor I've had so far! Tests are really easy, she reviews the material before she gives the tests. Pay attention, do the HW and you will get an A! She also gives fun extra credit!

The sole reason I made it through all of the required courses... Also helped me with Latin American Humanites. She is hands down the most helpful professor I've ever had. She will bend over backwards to insure that you pass. She is by the book, literally. if you are taking spanish or humanities... *** MUST HAVE ***

Love Ms. Diaz! Have taken her for all 3 required Spanish classes. She is truly concerned with the comprehension of the students and is very flexible with any given situation. She effectively makes the class a fun learning experience with a variety of activities! One caveat - lots of homework!

I consider myself SO LUCKY to have had Ms. Diaz. You could not ask for a better Spanish class experience. She is an excellent teacher - considerate, fair and very easy to get along with. She treats you like an adult. Do the work and get an A.

I can't speak highly enough of Ms Diaz. She's very fair, actively tries to help you pass, is flexible with attendance and quiz taking etc. Incredibly helpful, I took her for all 3 basic Spanish classes back to back.

Professor Aida is an AWESOME teacher. She is very flexible when it comes to attendance and she give you time to make up missed quizzes/tests. I took her for Spanish 1 and I'm taking her again for Spanish 2. I definitely recommend her. Professor Diaz ROCKS!!!

Latin American Humanities: DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS ONLINE! Unless you want to spend a lot of time writing 5 page papers for every module. The work is ridiculous. Prof. Diaz is very helpful though. But still the class is horrible and i don't recommend it. Take it in class, i heard it is so much better!

This class is a good class online, but be warned--it's VERY rigorous. Ms. Aida is a good teacher and she's very flexible on deadlines and such. The keys to succeeding in this class are: Check in to WebCT every day, do your work, and TALK to Ms. Aida if you have a problem. Do this, and you'll be fine!

The professor is very easy going and keeps the class entertained. I have taken her for SPN 1000, 1100, and intend on taking her summer semester for 1101. I highly recommend her she makes learning a foreign language fun.

Ms. Diaz is amazing! I have background in Spanish so it came easier, but she really wants you to understand and like Spanish. She gradually speaks more and more Spanish during class, often reviews the material to make sure you get it, class participation is expected. Don't get away with the minimum - you'll understand and have fun if you study!

Professor Diaz is a phenomenal teacher. I highly recommend her. I dropped my first Spanish class because the professor was awful. I took Prof Diaz and got an A. She's a wonderful person and an amazing teacher. I really enjoyed the class and I'm actually learning Spanish!

Great teacher, but gives a lot of homework. Tests can be hard, make sure to study. She is a very nice lady and very understanding if you have some sort of situation where you can't make it to class. Most importantly, make sure you understand what you are being taught or you may fail. Picking up a 2nd language isn't easy.

Mrs. Diaz is the best teacher at vcc. I have no idea what people are talking about saying to not take her. EASY A just do all your work and review your notes twice a week. took her for spanish 2, she's so nice, very understandable. her class/work is easy if you do it and dont slack. there is no reason not to pass her class. anyone giving her poor ratings are probably students who never went to class and expected an A anyway. Take Her! you will be glad you did!

Great Professor! She is very relaxed. No drama with her. You do your work and everything will be okay. She gives you opportunities to do better. The only thing is that when you email her she takes a long time to answer. Other than that she is very easy going. Take her you will pass the class with an A like me.

She is a really good teacher, just practice the vocabulary and you will do fine the only problem you will have if you dont like to do group work because she does a lot of it. oh and do the homework and the myspanishlab do not wait until the last minute i repeat DO NOT wait until the last minute because you have to get 80 percent on the spanish lab

Amazing professor! Kind, understanding, native speaker of the language. Tests aren't super hard if you follow the textbook. Homework is online. Gets really upset when people miss too many classes without telling her, but will not drop you.

By far the greatest professor i've ever taken. if your trying and she sees it then she will make sure to help you in every way she can. really understanding as long as your not trying to bs her. i wish she taught more classes i need because i would be in every one.

If you are scared of Spanish, take Ms. Diaz. She is so nice! Do not take advantage of her kindness though! She is very good at explaining and very understanding. Fantastic Prof. She made learning Spanish fun. I can't wait to take her for Spanish II. Most of the homework is on line and you need to buy a book that hasn't been used to access the computer portion of the work. Easy class if you pay attention and study a little.

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!!! I took profesora for SPN 1&2! Native speaker and so helpful. Go to class and do the work. She gives extra credit. She is so much fun. Professor Diaz is one of the best professors ve had. Yes, like other comments say she does take a while to get work back but she is very lenient with test. Most tests were take home and she let us use our books for 4 minutes on the final. She makes the class as easy as possible. Its almost impossible not to get an A.

Honestly, I DID NOT want to learn Spanish at all. But Prof. Diaz changed my mind really quick. Her class is such a fun environment. Coffee every class!And I learned! Tests are easy. There are oral presentations, but they help you on the tests and help you to learn the language. You do have to study, but worth it! If you take Spanish-TAKE HER!

I took Spanish 1 with another professor and liked her ok but then I took Spanish 2 with Diaz and wished I had taken her all along!! You will not find an EASIER Spanish professor. She let us do our tests in groups, including the final, and she extends due dates to those in need. TAKE HER!!!!

Extremely easy class. You can only fail if you don't do your assignments (which are VERY VERY VERY easy). I barely used the book, mostly googled my answers. She is very slow grading your homework but gives you plenty of chances and a lot of feedback.

She's an easy grader by all means, however as soon as you start this course, you will be bombarded with an obscene amount of work. Every week there is about 3 hours worth of homework. There is one group project. She is very forgiving though and a great professor, I would definitely retake her class.

She likes to help student if they don't understand. Spanish 2 is really hard but the professor are very helpful! There is a lot of (2-4) presentation like once in every month. There is one group project to presentation the culture! A lot of homeworks on VHl (mon-thur). She does remind you if homework on VHL. It's your responsibility & study hard!

She is a really good teacher. I normally wouldn't grade my teachers but she was awesome. the class had a bunch of homework almost an assignment every day but the however where easy. The only thing i didn't like about this class was that it took her a really long time to grade assignments and tests.

I love Aida. She is sweet and funny & full of life. Best class I took at Valencia. Book is $200, homework 4 times a week for 30min & attenadance is 45% of your grade. Easy tests with no tricks, a lot of practice assignments & over 20+ chances for extra credit. Very forgiving & very helpful. I'm taking her for Spanish 2 so I hope for the best! Ahh!

I took her for Spanish 1 & 2. She is by far the best professor I've ever had in college. She genuinely cares for all of her students & she wants you to succeed. She's extremely helpful & does her best to help you understand! Gives lots of extra credit! Spanish isn't an easy language, but just do what she says & you will pass the class.

About 20-30 min of homework every night. Teacher doesn't put in grades until last couple of weeks. A couple powerpoints and oral skype interviews. Overall class is very easy but I spoke spanish. Tests at the end of every month, only about 25 questions, not hard.

I took her for SPN I & II and I cannot say enough good things about her. She's so wonderful. She was my favorite teacher ever. Yes, it's a lot of work & for some people it's a turn off. BUT LET ME TELL YOU SHE'S THE BEST. My whole class & I were so sad to leave. We all loved her. She do everything in her power to make sure you pass. JUST TAKE HER!

I took her for my online SPN class, some issues I had w/ her were not posting the final on time & taking weeks to respond to emails, behind on grades too Honestly if you do the online HW & recording exercises on time, put effort into your powerpoints & do the tests, there is NO reason you should not have an A. She is easy to reach on campus though!

Professor Diaz communicates the assignments clearly and effectively and also gives you plenty of time to do them. We had a several 2-3 minute presentations with Kaltura and there was homework on the portales website. She is a lenient grader and most of the work is graded instantly online. Do the work and you'll pass, simple. She was a joy to take.

It was an online class, so obviously youre going to have a lot of assignments online. But the few times I interacted with the teacher which was through skype for exams, she was so understanding and nice! She didn't harp on you if didn't immediately get it. The skype sessions are easy, but there was one I had trouble with and she still gave me an A!

I took her classes not because it was for a credit for my AA, but it was to help out with my future and land me somewhere useful in life, especially with my family. I took both of her classes, and she is phenomenal. You actually learn what is needed and she is an absolute delight to have as a professor. I would love to show what I've accomplished.

She really is such a sweetheart and actually cares about you learning the material. Allows late work from VHL, so do not worry at all. She is also super understanding and makes weekly reminders of through the canvas announcements. She is easy to talk to as well, so do not worry. Also during my midterm exam on zoom, she was so hilarious.

One of the best classes I have taken. Professor Aida is very receptive and easy to communicate to. The class is not difficult at all. You must ensure you complete your assigned homework everyday and once you do that you will pass the class without doubt.

Professor Diaz is caring and helpful, though can be slow to respond. Lots of daily homework, but the class is manageable if you stay on top of it. unstuckstudy makes a great study tool for this course.

Aida Diaz's class prepared me for a study abroad in Mexico during my BA studies. Subsequently, I attended classes taught in Spanish in a Barcelona Law School during my JD studies wherein I received an "A."
