I thoroughly enjoyed Aileen's class, plus she's an awesome teacher!

The best professor I had my freshman year. Has a real cute attitude that makes her lectures entertaining, but she is well prepared and well knowledgeable. Between the two, her clases are fun and informative. The group activities were hilarious :-)

She was one of the best professors I've ever had. You had to work hard for a grade but she made class fun and you left having learned a lot.

Took class online - was EASY!!! Easiest class I've ever taken. We had three tests each consisting of no more than 20 questions and all of which we had about an hour to do. Easy A!!!

Awesome teacher. I love her style. I took her on line and I love that she gives plenty of time to take the tests, it really takes the pressure off so we don't have to be stressing while taking a test. I would recommend her to anyone!!!

The best and easiest teacher I ever had. I took her for 104 also, and it was a night class I showed up 6 of the 11 class meetings and got an A just because I tried, not by any means cause of test scores, which were horrible. If you put in the effort and participate somewhat you will get an A! Take this for an interesting class, and easy GPA boost!!

i had collins for womens studies. she is a nice, intelligent lady with excitement for teaching and obviously cares about her students. my only problem is that sometimes the class seemed a bit disorganized, and there is only 2 things worth any points, the tests and we didn't get the first one back until the class before the final...kind of annoying.

I loved her teaching style, she is the most entertaining person I have ever know. I learned alot with her and her teaching style. She knew all her students name and always greeted them personally when coming to class. The grade is based on what you put into it. We need more Aileens on earth!!

Almost too easy. The teacher was very nice and helpful. If you are looking for an easy A, Psychology in the Workforce Online is a breeze. A couple of assignments and open book tests that are not timed. I was really surprised by that.

Great psy teacher, very easy to talk and understand. Didn’t do much work but the tests were very easy, everyone got an A. Sometime would go off on different topics not related to psy but was always entertaining and interesting.

Aileen is a very fair and understanding instructor. Just be there for class, read the book and you will get an A. She let's you use notes on the test, but they are useless if you didnt attend class. She is interactive with her students and at times, very hyper. Sometimes she tends to lose her train of thoughts and studder alot, it can get confusing

This was an extremely enjoyable class. The instructor was incredibly good at lecturing. Her enthusiasm and ability to illustrate her lectures with unforgettable examples was astounding. I'm very glad our school has an instructor of this caliber. Just... don't ask about chicken pot pie. She'll tell you ALL about it.

Aileen is extremely nice and has a good attitude. She's very knowledgable about what she's teaching, yet she can be quite scattered. Her class does not have much structure, either. So, if you do better with structure, do not take this class. The class was too easy. It wasn't challenging enough. Toward the end of the term, it got boring.

Aileen Collins is an amazing instructor. She lectures in a style that makes it fun to learn. She says that the text is important to the class but she covers the material so well that the text almost becomes unecessary. I am very grateful to have had her as an instructor.

Aileen has a great personality. She is loud, entertaining, and engaging. Her classes are by far the easiest I have taken at Chemeketa. But if you are wanting to really learn, I suggest you look for another instructor. Again, I really liked her, but I just felt like I should have been ale to learn more.

Great Teacher! It was an easy class and fun. She does Goof off alot but I enjoyed it because she did keep it relating to the subject. I learned through the fun and silly experiments we did in class. Open book tests and shes flexible.

An easy class if you show up everyday. She would get sidetracked and she was a little crazy. Lastly she is by no means hot.

Her way of teaching is not your normal listen to lecture, and pray you do good on a test, it is more interactive and her comedy is what helps you learn the material more. CHICKEN POT PIE! Aileen is fantastic. I took 201 & 237 w/ her, and 239 next term. if you show up to class, you will get an A - it's impossible to NOT learn from her. she can be vague on assignments/projects,but it's because she wants you to take what you have learned and think outside the box. She truly cares about her students and her subject.

Aileen Collins is an amazing woman. She is such a good teacher. She connects with her students on a really personal (not weird) level. She's exceedingly helpful if you have any questions regarding the material (or not regarding the material). I LOVED her class. The best class I have ever taken.

Oh my goodness, Aileen is so funny she will have you on the flood laughing!!!!!!!! She is so easy if you are not ready for a quiz just let her know and she will understand. There was only 4 quizes and 1 project in the class that is it no homework. All quizes are open note. Funny funny lady and has a big heart of gold!!

Took this online..Super friendly teacher! Not a whole lot of communication with her though. Doesn't really respond to emails or questions posted on the site. Instructions were confusing. You can skim the text and use the book for quizes and tests. Overall, fairly easy class and good teacher.

Very funny, very entertaining to have as a professor. She has quite the awesome personality, probably not for the extremely serious person, but she is very good and I did learn a lot. She does like to tell stories, but they are hilarious and correlate with the subject matter.

Aileen is the professor that is going to teach you beyond any classroom teaching. Her classes are full of excitment, yes she yells and jumps up and down but she makes it fun and enjoyable. If you do the work you get an A, if she doesnt fully clarify its because she wants you to work through it; just like you would in a job. She is amazing!!!!

Great instructor. Book not really needed. All exams were take home exams. Final was very interesting. At first thought I was in the wrong class room because instructor started yelling. Realized it was her style. Full of information, Occasional tageants, however did all relate. Would recomment to anyone.

Good teacher except gets side tracked a lot, crams a lot of information in at the last minute or not have enough time to finish chapters but test you on them anyways. Would recommend for a easy A class but didn't learn a whole lot when being rushed and cramming info.

She is amazing and oh so hilarious. I highly recommend her. I missed an exam and she was totally understandable about my situation. Not super strict but does expect you to put in some work. She's there when you need her either 15 min after class or in her office. I took her about 2 terms ago and im bummed she doesnt teach higher psych classes.

You MUST take Aileen for a PSY201 or 202 class. I took her online classes and they were fun, easy, and I learned a LOT. You don't even have to buy the textbook as she provides a free one. We had 3 exams, 6 assignments and one introduction post. She puts everything at once on elearn so you can work ahead.

took this class online. No discussions or posts required. All you do each week is take a quiz or write a small summary off an article she gives you. There are 3 exams they are all long. I ended up with an 88% and she gave me an A in the class. Not hard just do the work.

Best class I've ever taken! PSY OF MEDIA! She took us in field trips, bought us journals, and we did a great deal of critical thinking. She TOTALLY knows her stuff! She can weave history and psychology and politics and public policy into one lecture. Mesmerizing and hilarious! You will love her!

This teacher is the very best teacher at chemeketa. She took us on field trips and paid for them. She cares deeply about her students AND helped me find scholarship money. She even edited my essays! She's super nice. And her stories ... They may SEEM random, but they aren't. Listen carefully because the stories help you remember the material.

Aileen is an awesome person. She is very caring and funny and loves to share stories. BUT i didn't learn anything in her class because she was talking about random stuff 95% of the time. IF you want an easy A, take her.

She is extremely funny in a deviant way. She is part of the gen-x era, but claims to act like a millennial, I agree. She uses jokes that aren't common for a professor.

If potty mouths are not your type of people do be around, do not take Aileen. She had to have cussed 1000X this term. Aileen is incredibly knowledgable in the PSY field, she just takes a little while to get to the point where she starts dropping knowledge. She truly cares about the success of her students. Her test are CAKE if you attend class.

Aileen's online 5 week course was incredibly easy! You have powerpoint's to read each week and the homework assignments are very clear and easy to do. The exams and final are a little tough but she gives you 2 tries to make sure you get a good grade; she also has extra credit options as well. I would take her again if I needed another PSY class!

This was by far the easiest class I've ever taken. I didn't learn much, but if you want an easy A+ take her. My term with her got screwed though, a 201 class joined ours because the teacher for 201 disappeared. So she spent most of her time talking with the 201 class. But class goes by quick, she talks a lot about her life, she's got great stories.

She took over the class when my original teacher disappeared. She was awesome! She made the class really fun and interesting. Gave tons of extra credit and cool out of class opportunities

In all I'd say she is totally weird, but that's kinda what makes it interesting. The problem is that her lectures have either nothing in to do with the subject matter, or just glaze over it. Makes for an easy A, but you don't know what you're supposed to write down, except for the presentation. VERY open minded, not intimidating at all!

I chose Aileen bcuz of the good reviews. Def underestimated her craziness! She's so into her lectures she wants you to dig deeper and forget about the college scene and really THINK. Really inspiring. She does get off-topic sometimes, but in a way that's how you differentiate the lectures. Great atmosphere and overall a really easy A. Take her! (:

I took psy 237 and it was really easy. All tests were online and open note. She gave assignments that were really straight forward and you learned a lot doing them, she graded really easy on them too. She had online powerpoints and a few video lectures. I didn't use the book for much, but she required it for a couple hw assignments.

Amazing class! It's a way to use psychological concepts to analyze media - like news and movies and social media. She is super funny. It makes you think about your own biases and how you see the world. Love this teacher! Journal writings are useful and help you apply the material.

She is great !! I took psy237 online and it was such a well put together course. Very organized and not hard at all. The test and midterms were online also so take advantage of your resources pay attention to the powerpoints.

Aileen is awesome! She makes class fun and very realistic. There is a lot of material covered in class, but as long as you do the work youre guaranteed an A.

If you read the material & actually work on the assignments you will learn a lot. Like any online course, it takes self motivation. Aileen's posts are funny & upbeat! Course Layout: 7 HW assignments (5pts each), 4 exams (100pts each), 3-5 Extra Credit opportunities (5pts each). Expectations are clear. I highly recommend this instructor.

Provides students with the foundations of psychology. Must be ready to read to learn more of the details. She can tend to go off topic but will notice her self and bounce back.

She's amazing and funny and loud. She does tend to get off course easy which caused us to have to rush at the end of term, but if you say something when she goes off on a tangent she'll get back to material. She is understanding and easy to talk to. The little homework will be very easy and don't overthink the end project, she likes creativity.

I took PSY 237 online which was great. Even if you do the online exams and get good grades, you will pass this class. Also, there were many extra credits.

Aileen is a hilarious prof. She is always making jokes and just having fun. Honestly the only time I really learned something is when I was studying for the exams. It is a really easy class if you just show up and listen. Not a lot of work to do outside, and you will probably get to see her dogs. Overall a really fun class.

Very easy A, was nice to have her during my chemistry class. She gives you 3 test exams over multiple chapters open book final and a couple discussion assignments with peer feedback worth a point maybe 3 throughout the term. She is funny, kind of hard to get ahold of but very personable and willing to help when you need it.

Shes honestly the reason why Im majoring in psychology. But, read the textbook or you wont learn what you need to know for the exams. Her lectures are about other things and some material from the textbook. Shes so funny and she really is brilliant, just a little all over the place. Love her passion and smarts. Best instructor at CCC.

She is a great professor! She knows a lot about what she is teaching yet, she makes it easy to understand. Lectures are never boring, she is always making jokes or doing something that is funny.

Super nice person, one of my favorite teachers I've had. No homework, only a couple easy tests throughout the term. Allowed a page of notes for the test, and another test we had was a take home test. Love her lectures, she's passionate about what she teaches and relates to her students well. She's super funny as well.

Aileen is the best. The lectures are always interesting and laid back. If you miss a day it wont matter, but she does give extra credit on some days for just showing up so its always a good idea to go. 3 Test's, all with one page of notes to use. Questions are straight from book or lecture. No hw besides reading. Best professor at chemek.

She can relate to her students and loves to tell funny, engaging stories that help students relate content to real life experiences!

I took this class online and really enjoyed it! I feel as though I learned from this class even more than some of my in-person classes... I took Aileen before for 201 in person and she is a wonderful professor, super caring and wanting to help with any questions you might need... definitely take her class(es)!

Aileen is my favorite teacher at chemeketa. I have recommend her to anyone I know who needs to take psych at chemeketa. Her class were so fun, and she really makes the topic interesting. She has such interesting life experience and she really makes you question and think about the world around you. Her class really ignited my interest in psychology

Easiest class ever! Took the class during summer term and finished it within a week! 4 discussions, 4 assignments, 1 Mid-term (online), 1 final (online). Quizlet will be your best friend. Assignments/Discussions are pretty easy and mostly opinion based.

This class was an "easy A" but allowed me to dive deeper into my interest in psychology. For those wanting a challenge, you'll have to go beyond what Aileen asks of you to receive a good grade.

Aileen is such a nice professor, she is one of the few who genuinely care about their students. Although she is nice I feel as if this course should have been a little tougher because no one showed up until midterms and finals, even then these students did pass. LOTS OF EXTRA CREDIT !!!

Aileen Collins is a fun instructor. She makes learning interesting and gives fun stories to help you remember the material on test day. She can go off on tangents and sometimes youll have to ask her to get back on topic, but overall she is fun and very personable. Easy A as long as you do the assignments and pay attention in class.

This class was online bc of corona and it was really easy to pass. She gives quite a few extra credit opportunities and the test answers all literally all on Quizlet. The essays were super easy and she even gives extra credit in grading them. All you have to do is write something that makes sense and try a little and you'll have an A. She's nice.

By far my favorite professor at Chemeketa. She really cares about her students and if you want to get a certain grade she will help you achieve that. I have learned the most from her classes, & she incorporates relevant and interesting information into her lectures. Most of her tests cover only things discussed in class so you have to show up.

Collins is not good at using canvas but other than that she is good. She seems to really care is willing to engage. Work is very easy, and you can retake quizzes. basically impossible to not get an A.

Aileen Collins is a wonderful educator who has an incredible amount of experience at Chemeketa Community College. Collins is passionate about her field and teaches it very well, she provides great resources for the class and is very caring, the course work is thought-provoking and engaging. You will not be bored in this class!

I took my first psychology class 100% online during the summer. Aileen does not have due dates on assignments so you can get this class done as quickly as you want. I enjoyed setting my own due dates for the assignments; she is a saint for allowing this. This summer term was wonderful and I cannot wait to take PSY237 with her!

Aileen is a very smart lady! She tries to make class super interesting by throwing out cool psychological facts that relate to the content and tells stories. She really loves teaching and psychology in general, and it shows. Take her class, but please read the textbook because she doesn't cover everything you need to know in class!!

She was so funny and answered all of our questions in detail. It’s so easy to get on her good side and she loves diet coke!

Aileen is funny, she is very approachable. She does not always get to her emails and grades at the last minute. But is a far grader and I would love to take her class again.

Awesome professor, you got four assignments that can be turned in at the end of the term, so you'll have plenty of time. Showing up is not mandatory. There are in-class activities to understand better the subject. I hardly took notes in this class.
